PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned
with your individual traits.
The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon),
learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and
sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical
energy (Mars).
The second section describes how well you deal internally with the
external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for
happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations
(Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative
ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status
quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals,
morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with
or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government
and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and
distribution of natural resources (Pluto).
SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential
and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about.
It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take,
and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is
your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect
and authority, to impress and influence others.
SUN in SAGITTARIUS
As the ninth sign of the zodiac, Sagittarius represents the ninth
stage in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. As Scorpio
seeks to understand and control with emotional power, Sagittarius
seeks to understand and control with knowledge. Most Sagittarians
have an intellectual curiosity that covers a wide range of subjects.
Never try to present Sagittarians with facts because they already
have an unlimited supply which they gladly recite in rapid succession.
They become bored and restless when surrounded by people or circumstances
in which they have no interest. At such times, they find ways to disappear
physically or mentally. They would rather learn things on their own
through travel and experience than endure structured classroom environments
and routine work assignments. However, given opportunities to broaden
their knowledge and gain experience in the world on their own, they
become excellent teachers and administrators in the very type of educational
system they once found so restricting.
Sagittarians readily adapt to change. This trait is a strength because
it is a survival mechanism, and a weakness because it makes them vulnerable
to the demands and influence of other people. One of their greatest
facilities for adapting to change is making home wherever they happen
to be. The astrological symbols for Sagittarius are the hunter (archer)
and the centaur, the mythical half man and half horse. They represent
the Sagittarian search for collecting and disseminating truth and
knowledge as well as their constant search for new ideas and new adventures.
They are usually quite talkative and, as a rule, do not hesitate to
give their honest opinions, a gesture which seems tactless at times
though it is rarely their intention to be cruel. They have a ready
wit and appreciate the humor even in grim situations.
Sagittarians react physically to everything they experience in life.
Before they assess the practicality or worth of what they are doing,
before they sort out their true emotions, and before they take time
to reason things out intellectually, they have a tendency to shoot
first and ask questions later. Communication-oriented Sagittarians
are forever running around with energy and enthusiasm. They are independent
and hard to pin down for long, and indeed, this is the sign of the
bachelor. In one way or another even married Sagittarians seek to
maintain some aspect of personal independence.
Jupiter, planet of bountiful fortunes and good luck, rules Sagittarians.
As a rule, most of them have generous natures and friendly, optimistic
personalities. Natural politicians, they are interested in knowing
everyone and in going everywhere. For the true Sagittarian personality,
life is something to be enjoyed every day. Addicted to all the good
things in life, they know how to get maximum enjoyment from them.
Unfortunately too much of a good thing can be ruinous, and prudence
is a difficult trait for most Sagittarians to acquire. The philosophy
that "more is better" describes their tendency for overdoing, a tendency
that can result in some negative situations. Being overly spiritual
or too philosophical, for example, they get too far out of touch with
the real world. Making overblown efforts to be prudent in one area,
they can still manage to bankrupt themselves by overindulging in other
areas. Their attempt to be prudent can get so far out of line, that
they turn into a miser.
Sagittarians are enthusiastic sportsmen. They enjoy physically challenging
endeavors of all kinds. Archery, jogging, hang gliding, sailing, and
fishing (especially for big sport fish such as sword fish or blue
marlin) are favorite activities. One of the biggest challenges to
overcome may be the battle of the bulge when their fondness for great
quantities of food and drink finally catches up with them. They are
natural gamblers and risk-takers, and usually have the good fortune
to come out on the winning side of wagers, especially when they try
their luck at horse or dog racing. They love music, art, dance, and
drama (theater) and many of them have considerable talent in these
areas.
Sagittarian colors are maroon, tan, navy, orange, and cobalt blue.
Vulnerable parts of the body are the thighs, hips, and, to some extent,
the feet. Their physical complaints are apt to be the result of unrestricted
diets or an overly indulgent pursuit of other pleasures. The ancients
associated the ruby with Sagittarius, while modern astrologers gives
this sign the turquoise. The Sagittarian's highly adaptable, somewhat
dual-natured personality can easily associate itself with both gems.
Because Sagittarius is associated with bigness in general, flowers
for this sign include the large blooms such as huge mums, hydrangeas,
dahlias, and peonies.
MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency
or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle
relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences.
It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional,
and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment.
It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important
females in your life.
MOON in CANCER
Those born with the moon in a Water sign need to establish solid emotional
commitments. Before considering the practicality of a situation, and
before objectively examining the facts, they react emotionally. They
are highly intuitive, though at times it is deceptively self-serving.
As lunar Water sign personalities, those with moon in Cancer may have
a certain awkwardness in their bearing and approach. Creative and
sensitive, they are apt to have artistic talent or at least great
appreciation for the arts. They are vulnerable to the influence of
those with whom they spend the most time, making it hard to distinguish
whether they are expressing their own opinions or merely reflecting
those of someone else. They can be extremely passive when it comes
to extricating themselves from unhappy emotional situations. They
may even cling to such situations after they have managed to find
happiness elsewhere. They hate to throw anything away. Lack of motivation
can make them lazy, disorganized and sloppy.
Cancerian moon personalities are dedicated to getting their own way
and accomplishing personal goals. They can be quite shy when initially
confronted with unfamiliar situations and when meeting total strangers.
Once they feel comfortable, they become more outgoing and even aggressive.
Their nurturing nature makes them hospitable, compassionate, and philanthropic.
Strong identification with the concept of family makes them treat
everyone as part of the family. They often use this kind of approach
as a successful ploy in getting others to cooperate. As babies they
tend to be finicky eaters or develop food allergies. As adults they
have an unfortunate tendency to use food as an emotional pacifier.
Vulnerable, possessive, emotionally dependent, and demanding the women
with moon Cancer are at the mercy of their conflicting feelings. Emotionally
they are their own worst enemy. They are highly intuitive and creative
once they learn to control their emotional tidal waves. Men with Cancer
moon have a streak of domesticity, the potential of which includes
gardening, cooking, or concern with household furnishings. It is often
hard for them to act with sustained aggressiveness in emotional situations.
MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way
you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information.
It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical
skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get
where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all
possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?
MERCURY in SAGITTARIUS
Those with natal Mercury in Sagittarius have enthusiastic, adaptable
intellects. Their interests are varied and they quickly learn what
they want to know. If they don't have a natural inclination for a
subject, or even for school in general, it is difficult for them to
stay very long in the confining routine of formal education. Many
of these individuals possess considerable gifts for mimicry and oratory.
Very independent in their ideas and opinions, they learn best by traveling
and circulating in various groups and in different places. When communicating
opinions and ideas, they have a tendency to be very direct, sometimes
to the point of what others consider tactless. They may be very spiritually
oriented, and have a great fondness for art or politics. When it comes
to learning and transportation, they can be found rushing from place
to place, but they are also capable of ambling along, taking every
interesting detour that catches their fancy.
VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic
tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions
at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance,
marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit
of pleasure.
VENUS in SCORPIO
Social attitudes and behavior of individuals with natal Venus in Scorpio
are strongly influenced by their emotional needs. They are not usually
shy and, in fact, many of them are quite gregarious. How much attention
they seek for themselves is determined by other factors. They have
a strong, passionate nature that they must control if they wish to
avoid being possessive, obsessive, or jealous. Even those who seem
outwardly easy-going will consciously or subconsciously seek to control
relationships. They are not ones to mince words or engage in idle
flattery. Many of their interactions with others, even fleeting or
superficial contacts, are apt to be tinged with a certain intensity.
Social instincts can be remarkably keen, and their actions in this
regard are direct and purposeful though not always obvious or open.
MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength
and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your
emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills.
It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations,
and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.
MARS in CAPRICORN
Individuals with Mars in Capricorn are aggressively ambitious. They
act more decisively and with greater confidence when they are acting
within the limits of what is legally and socially acceptable. They
are also more effective when they know they are being observed, and
when they know that what they are doing commands respect. Rejection
in business or romance is not something they accept easily, and they
continue to relentlessly pursue their goals in any way they think
will work. The influence of Capricorn may mean a certain ruthlessness
in their nature, but that is what it takes to succeed in the fiercely
competitive situations they pursue. These individuals are often the
ones responsible for bringing about greatly needed changes, and establishing
institutions and structures that ultimately benefit many people other
than themselves.
JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels;
physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation
of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism
and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.
JUPITER in CAPRICORN
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Capricorn can be overly concerned
with how things are done rather than what is done. Lack of inspirational
factors in their development and background forces many of them to
gain understanding and wisdom through their own experiences and maturity.
Growth and expansion in life is rarely a matter of haphazard luck
or whimsy. Through fortune or circumstances they are forced to keep
track of where they have been, where they are at present, and where
they want to go.
SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are
apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does
not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good
fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and
meaning.
SATURN in VIRGO
Individuals with natal Saturn in Virgo are confronted with restrictions
or limitations that involve matters of practicality or perfectionism.
Too much pragmatism leaves no room for imagination or spiritual growth.
Lack of practicality denies the solid base they need for progress
and stability. Blind pursuit of perfectionism denies the reality of
life, and they accomplish nothing. Lack of idealism ends in mediocrity.
URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality
of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people
as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures.
Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking
about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people
with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence
of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications
of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the
aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes
areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be
different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique.
Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as
is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers,
and the media.
URANUS in GEMINI
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Gemini want
freedom of speech and communication. Research and development of innovative
technology and methods of communication are eagerly undertaken. All
new ideas get attention, and freedom of information is emphasized.
NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of
society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are
glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism,
and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years,
taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs.
Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign
and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign
is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's
house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your
natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion,
disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't
always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and
describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment,
and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.
NEPTUNE in LIBRA
During the most recent period of Neptune in Libra in 1942-1957 the
establishment of the United Nations was typical of the Libran effort
to establish peace. Neptune's influence is also evident since the
U. N. has had minimal effect in accomplishing its goals. Equality
(Libra) for minorities (Neptune) may get attention but real solutions
may prove illusive.
PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all
twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve
years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like
atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction
of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence
in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your
personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house
position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope.
Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously
or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also
linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes
the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.
PLUTO in LEO
Pluto's last period in Leo was 1938-1957. Leo rules the king or representative
government. During Pluto's transit of Leo in the late 1600's and early
1700's, John Locke, philosopher of the English Revolution and American
Revolution, wrote his famous essays stating that governments existed
by virtue of voluntary agreements and their function was to protect
the rights of individuals.
PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope.
The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily
basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances
you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality
and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.
HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is
also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality
and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health
and the type of illnesses you may experience.
AQUARIUS ASCENDANT
An Aquarius Ascendant indicates individuals with strong physiques
(particularly the legs) and a great deal of physical stamina. They
are apt to have a great deal of stubbornness and find it difficult
to break undesirable habits and behavior patterns. Independence is
a hallmark of their personalities and they tend to be highly opinionated.
It is almost impossible for others to convince them to change their
ideas unless they become convinced on their own that such a change
is necessary.
Aquarius indicates intellectual orientation, and most of these individuals
are likely to possess remarkable mental poise. They are rarely frightened
or affronted by sudden shocks, surprises, or the abnormal and bizarre.
Their particular mental orientation gives them an air of detached
interest, and as a rule, they remain unaffected and uninfluenced by
such social trappings as status, power, and wealth. They are interested
in people for their own sake, not their wealth or status. With a minimum
of effort they are able to attract many friends and acquaintances.
Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, planet of upheaval and change, as well
as by its ancient ruler, Saturn, planet of restriction and structure.
Strangely enough these two very different influences can be compatible
in the personalities of these individuals. There is the strong possibility
they will experience at least one or more dramatic changes of direction
in their lives, many times this happens through some quirk of fortune
or circumstance over which they have no control. These changes can
occur suddenly and unexpectedly. Though Saturn's influence implies
stable, calm dispositions, the influence of Uranus means they are
also capable of behaving in quite unexpected ways. It is a mistake
to predict what they will do in any given situation. They are often
argumentative and love to play devil's advocate. They demand a lot
of personal freedom, and when they marry, that need becomes an issue
if their marriage partners are too dependent or possessive. They get
restless if there isn't enough in their immediate environment to stimulate
them physically or mentally. They are keenly interested in the future
and have a great interest in the past, but many of them somehow lose
track of what's going on in the present, and as a result, they appear
out of step with the rest of society.
They are likely to develop interest in science, sociology, music or
design. Financial theory is less interesting than its application.
Nervous conditions and stiffness or inflexibility of the bones and
joints are some common physical complaints they are apt to experience.
HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary
income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates
the values and priorities you establish throughout life.
ARIES on 2nd HOUSE
Aries ruling the second house indicates individuals who may expend
more energy and enthusiasm on how they make money, than in pursuit
of money for its own sake. They are likely to be enthusiastic spenders
rather than savers, since accumulation of money is rarely their primary
motivation. If they do possess love of wealth for its own sake, they
may be so passionately dedicated to accumulating great fortunes that
they never spend their money or enjoy the advantages it can provide.
Aries represents animated life, and the second house Aries influence
means these individuals value energy and vitality. They will pursue
activities and people that encourage or engender these forces in themselves.
They find it difficult to enjoy doing absolutely nothing, wanting
their energy to be spent as generously as they are apt to spend money
or other assets. Lack of activity can cause far more unhappiness in
their lives than lack of money. The negative possibilities of Aries
on the second house include individuals who are possessive and selfish,
or want to buy the affections or cooperation of others.
HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation,
self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity
and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It
indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within
your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also
describes the job or health of your father.
TAURUS on 3rd HOUSE
Taurus ruling the third house indicates individuals who are apt to
be very sociable within their immediate environment. They attempt
to establish good relations with neighbors and actively participate
in community projects, especially when they are invited to do so and
when they know their efforts will be recognized and appreciated. They
are apt to have close, or at least very cordial relationships with
siblings and there is usually much visiting back and forth. The negative
potential for Taurus on the third house suggests the opposite situation
may occur and these individuals intentionally or unintentionally become
involved in (or even initiate) disagreements with siblings or neighbors.
It may indicate a lack of siblings, or that these individuals live
in remote areas where there are no immediate neighbors. Taurus on
the third house implies that early schooling presents these individuals
with some of the best opportunities to make friends, one of whom they
may marry or with whom they establish a business partnership. Another
possibility is that they will find marriage or business partners among
their neighbors.
HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and
family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning
as well as the end of various cycles in your life.
GEMINI on 4th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the fourth house indicates those who may prefer to work
at home or pursue many hobbies at home. They are apt to have extensive
libraries or collections of magazines and other factual material.
If they happen to be more mechanically inclined than intellectually
oriented, home becomes a base for tinkering with all kinds of mechanical
devices, the most popular of which are automobiles. Gemini's influence
on the fourth house indicates the possibility that as adults they
may live with siblings or in the same neighborhood as siblings. They
allow their homes to be used for community meetings or other neighborhood
projects. The negative possibilities imply the opposite influence,
and these individuals have arguments or separation from siblings and
estrangements or disagreements with neighbors. Gemini on the fourth
house implies restless domestic natures. These individuals may have
frequent changes of residence, constantly alter or redecorate their
homes, or own more than one home at a time.
HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers,
capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children,
and speculative ventures.
GEMINI on 5th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the fifth house indicates individuals who want to identify
their creative personality with intellectual skill. In other words,
they want the products of their imaginations or artistic skills to
be more than just entertaining or beautiful to others. They want them
to convey some special meaning or moral principle. A fifth house Gemini
influence can mean they have special communicative skills, such as
creative writing or the ability to flawlessly impersonate others.
Though not above taking a chance on one throw of the dice, they are
more apt to enjoy learning the real mechanics of gambling or trading
stock and commodities. They may even devise a unique system of their
own for gambling and other speculative ventures. They are romantically
attracted to those with intellectual ability. A certain amount of
fickleness in romance is highly possible since they have tendencies
to engage in more than one affair at a time. As a rule, they take
great interest in their children's intellectual accomplishments and
enjoy helping them with their studies. They may be the parents of
twins or be a twin themselves.
URANUS in 5th HOUSE
Uranus in the fifth house indicates those who may form unusual or
unexpected romantic attachments, or encounter romance in unexpected
places. Romance may begin or end suddenly or unexpectedly. The influence
of Uranus also suggests those who possess highly unique artistic or
creative talent. It is also possible that the children of these individuals
may be quite unusual or distinguished in some way. Women with Uranus
in the fifth house may have difficulty conceiving children. They may
choose not to bear children at all, preferring to concentrate their
creative energies elsewhere. Other potentials include those who seek
unusual amusements, and those who enjoy taking very unique vacations
or vacation in off-beat, interesting places. These individuals may
devise unusual methods for gambling or speculation.
HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and
unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your
health, and physical fitness.
CANCER on 6th HOUSE
Cancer ruling the sixth house indicates those with delicate or changeable
patterns in their general health. This is not an indication of poor
health, what it amounts to most of the time is that they have a tendency
to experience medical complaints that are annoying but do not usually
represent major illnesses. Many of them would prefer to work at home
and pursue jobs or businesses they can successfully operate at home.
There is also the possibility their work will be related to food,
homes, domestic products or services, women, or children. They usually
exhibit mothering instincts toward co-workers or develop strong emotional
ties with them. As a rule they work better with women or children
than with men, but the strength of that instinct depends on other
factors in their individual natal charts. They may demonstrate inconsistency
in work habits and perhaps in their ability to retain jobs. This characteristic
is not necessarily related to poor attitudes or laziness on their
part. Their health and psychological outlook are strongly affected
by the type of work they do and when the working environment is not
suitable for one reason or another, they may have frequent absences.
On the other hand, if they derive emotional satisfaction from their
jobs, they make excellent workers.
MOON in 6th HOUSE
Moon in the sixth house indicates vulnerability to a continuing variety
of medical complaints, especially stomach or digestive disorders.
The ailments of these individuals are usually not major threats but
can disrupt their work and routine schedules. They are apt to operate
a business from their home, or seek jobs related to homes, food, family
life, women, or children. They develop mothering instincts and other
strong emotional identification toward those who work for or with
them. They may work better with women than with men. Work habits may
be inconsistent as is their ability to stay in jobs. Their general
health and psychological outlook are strongly affected by their work,
and when the work environment or responsibilities are upsetting for
some reason, inefficiency and absences are the result.
MOON trine VENUS
Getting others to cooperate with them is almost always an easy matter
for those with Moon trine Venus, often requiring little or no real
effort on their part. This aspect implies easy charm, gracious manners,
and the potential for artistic talent. They have keen intellects and
highly developed social and diplomatic skills, though how they apply
these skills or how well they use them depends on other factors in
their personalities.
MOON opposite MARS
Moon opposite Mars indicates those likely to harbor anger and frustration.
They are forever running into situations in which no compromise is
possible and thus no solution. Emotional tension results in unnecessary
accidents and even deliberate physical confrontations. Insensitivity
and aggression creep into relationships, and it's always too little
too late when they try to patch things up. Strong positive elements
in their personalities and backgrounds can help overcome some of the
negative influence of this aspect.
HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures
of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others
tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters,
negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as
well as adversarial.
LEO on 7th HOUSE
Leo ruling the seventh house suggests those whose best efforts are
made in cooperation with a partner or partners. Their egos are satisfied
when they can measure themselves against the characteristics and accomplishments
of others. It is not that they are unable to accomplish anything on
their own. This is a fallacy and an excuse for idleness. It merely
suggests that many of these individuals achieve success through opportunities
gained from others, but their success will not come because others
have done their work for them. The negative potential can mean that
their ego involvement with the money or status of their marriage or
business partners may be stronger than their emotional commitment
to these relationships. The influence of Leo indicates individuals
who are apt to be attracted to law, public relations, or contract
negotiations. Whatever their work, they want to be in direct contact
with the public. They have strong feelings concerning equality in
society.
PLUTO in 7th HOUSE
Pluto in the seventh house indicates those who feel compelled to control
and manipulate relationships. If they happen to have an aggressive
nature, they are compelled to interfere with other peoples' relationships
as well as their own, not always with happy results. The negative
potential includes those who are victims of manipulation by others
including their marriage partner. Pluto's influence in the seventh
house suggests individuals who consciously or subconsciously want
to gain the first advantage where other people are concerned. They
do not have a strong sense of cooperation or fair play unless factors
in their personality or background encourage them to develop a more
even-handed approach in dealing with others. Pluto does, however,
imply justice in the form of eventual retribution. Sooner or later,
they are likely to get what they deserve, both good and bad. Whether
or not they make a conscious effort to do so, they attract people
who are intellectually superior or who have more power or status than
themselves. Other potentials include those for whom marriage becomes
a continual contest of wills, and joint ventures or other cooperative
efforts turn into power struggles.
SATURN in 7th HOUSE
For those with Saturn in the seventh house, the biggest lessons in
life involve relationships and how well they relate to other people
in general. It is hard for them to establish quick or light-hearted
contacts with others. Whether or not these individuals encourage it,
others may regard them as an authority figure or at least very competent
in some area. As a result, they either keep themselves in a constant
state of turmoil trying to live up to what they think others expect
of them, or they may totally avoid making commitments to others. They
are apt to experience difficulty in getting others to cooperate. For
them, marriage will not be without responsibilities. They may not
succeed should they marry in haste, or their spouse may be sickly
or a burden in some way. Other potentials include those for whom marriage
is simply an easy path to security, those who marry someone much older,
and those who develop such negative opinions about marriage that they
avoid it altogether. In spite of these possibilities, Saturn does
not doom the prospects for wedded bliss. Many of these individuals
enjoy stable, long-lasting unions. If adversity does come along, it
can make the alliance even stronger. Others may think these individuals
have gained little or nothing by marriage. However, these individuals,
as well as their spouses, may not share or be the least bit adversely
influenced by such outside opinions.
HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the
income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes
your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and use material
assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house
also indicates sexual attitudes and behavior.
LIBRA on 8th HOUSE
Libra ruling the eighth house indicates that there must always be
a fair and equitable balance concerning joint resources and sexual
matters. Even if these individuals do not deliberately strive for
such a balance, it may be imposed on them in one way or another. For
example, they are apt to (or be forced to) give back in equal measure
whatever they gain or lose in monetary assets or social status through
marriage. The need for balance may also extend to the development
and use of their personal assets, that is, their talent and skills.
If they neglect their own talent and abilities and depend for success
and happiness solely on the money or whatever is provided by others,
they never attain the goals they really want. The negative potential
includes the possibility of sexually related diseases, neurotic social
tendencies, or financial loss or loss of social status through marriage.
The influence of Libra also presents the possibility that the income
of their marriage partners will be derived through music, literature,
fashion and design, the cosmetic or floral industry, or law.
NEPTUNE in 8th HOUSE
Those with Neptune in the eighth house often experience difficulty
collecting debts. When they give money or favors, it should be with
the idea of never realizing a return on their investment. They may
have tendencies to distort facts concerning taxes or insurance matters,
or can be falsely accused of such practices. There is potential for
erosion or loss of joint income. There is also potential that the
income of their marriage partner, as well as that of a sibling, may
be derived from maritime industry, footwear, chemistry, religion,
photography, medicine, psychology, or working with those who are disabled,
institutionalized, or minorities. The negative potential includes
those who are cheated of an inheritance, or their inheritance is wasted.
Mental disorder, disabilities or sensitivity to drugs may be part
of their genetic inheritance. Neptune's positive influence suggests
those with remarkable understanding and instincts about human motivation
and behavior. They read body language very well. They are intuitive,
shrewd and highly resourceful. Sex may be a religious experience for
some of them, while others prefer a certain amount of mystery and
charade in their sexual activities.
NEPTUNE sextile PLUTO
Neptune sextile Pluto is an aspect of extremely long duration. The
current sextile between these two planets has been affecting generations
for the last forty years. This long term Neptune aspect influences
on society represents constant opportunities to change the course
of existing structures and pave the way for new ones. Those who will
live under the influence of the other aspects (i. e. , conjunction,
square, trine, and opposition) as they occur between these planets
in the future will have to deal with the ideologies and other societal
institutions that we have had the opportunities to create.
HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing,
publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies,
religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits.
It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To
a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health
of your mother.
SCORPIO on 9th HOUSE
Scorpio ruling the ninth house indicates those who are apt to equate
advanced education or training with gaining personal power or status.
Though they may pursue these things to increase earnings, they also
feel that having such knowledge or skills also gives control over
other aspects of their lives. They are likely to possess the ability
to separate what is important from that which is irrelevant, and concentrate
efforts to a remarkable degree in broadening their intellectual horizons
or developing specialized skills. If their methods don't involve formal
education, they may be avid readers of newspapers and journals and
enjoy solving crosswords or other challenging mental puzzles and games.
There is potential for extremes in their ideas regarding religious
views or philosophical investigations. They may come to regard such
matters as meaningless exercises and completely reject the religious
teaching or philosophy with which they were raised, or, they may become
fanatical zealots. Many are excellent psychiatrists, spiritual counselors,
judges, teachers, writers, salespersons or researchers. Whether by
choice or circumstance there is apt to be mystery or secrecy connected
with higher education, foreign travel, or spiritual activities.
VENUS in 9th HOUSE
Venus in the ninth house indicates those who are culturally oriented,
spiritually inspired, and philosophically inclined. They often develop
idealistic notions regarding social structures. However, if there
are no negative factors in their personality or background to interfere,
most of them strike a balance between their ideals and practical reality.
They like to think of themselves as citizens of the world, and indeed,
they often fit this description. Many of them seek positions in writing,
broadcasting, advertising, and higher education. The influence of
Venus suggests potential for romance, marriage, partnership and joint
ventures in foreign countries or with those of a different nationality
or race. The negative potential can mean anti-social attitudes, difficulty
with in-laws, and unfavorable court judgments. It also implies difficulty
obtaining advanced degrees and specialized training.
HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals,
public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates
to your father and his influence in your life.
SAGITTARIUS on 10th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the tenth house indicates the likelihood of those
who consciously or subconsciously seek a public forum for exhibiting
their intellectual skills, artistic talent, or specialized training.
They are apt to feel strongly that what they know must be transmitted
to others, which in turn makes many of them pursue careers as teachers,
writers, lecturers, salespersons, actors, politicians or clerics.
They may not necessarily seek the spotlight themselves but may work
on projects that receive public recognition, or become promoters,
agents, or fund raisers. Whatever they do, they want to work with
the public in some capacity. They are also apt to gain publicity for
something they have done or been associated with outside of their
regular work or profession. The negative potential can mean difficulty
with, or loss of the father. It also implies problems with superiors
or in attaining promotions or other personal goals. These individuals
may be put in situations for which they are not adequately prepared
or for which they lack necessary skills.
HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong,
and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages
earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of
others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business
associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations
and capacity for happiness.
SAGITTARIUS on 11th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the eleventh house indicates those whose friends
and acquaintances help them achieve important advancements as well
as personal growth. It also suggests those with a tendency to make
far more friends and acquaintances than a single lifetime can reasonably
afford. Their friends are apt to include intellectuals, travelers,
artists, clerics, people connected with the theater, and those of
a different race or culture. There is the strong possibility they
may attach far more importance to friendships than is necessary. They
are also apt to feel they are friends with someone even though in
reality their association with that person may consist of nothing
more than a single brief meeting. The other unfortunate implication
is that with the expansive nature of Sagittarius, these individuals
may find it difficult to ever be content with anything, always wanting
more than what they have. The positive influence on the other hand,
means that much happiness and joy is derived through friends and associates,
and the enhanced capacity for being optimistic and happy no matter
what life brings.
SUN in 11th HOUSE
Sun in the eleventh house indicates those whose personal identification
in life is tied to friendships, social contacts, children for whom
they are responsible, and organizations to which they belong. They
may be excellent managers of organizations but inattentive in handling
their personal affairs. Business acumen can bring wealth and status
but they may prefer to remain in humble or temporary surroundings
that do not require attention or care. Wide-ranging goals supersede
their desire to be confined by too many material possessions. However,
they can never have too many friends or amusements. Their ego is thrust
outward into society, which means their activities and talents must
be expressed in that direction. They are natural promoters and fund
raisers.
SUN conjunct MERCURY
These individuals are apt to be very subjective in their opinions
and ideas. Unless they make concerted efforts, their receptiveness
to learning is going to stay primarily limited to their self-interests,
which in turn limits their growth and progress as individuals. It
is hard to separate their own ideas from others since consciously
or subconsciously their egos have a tendency to appropriate everything.
If natal Mercury is in a different sign than natal Sun, there is less
chance of ego involvement and more mental receptiveness.
SUN opposite URANUS
Sun opposite Uranus indicates that by choice or by circumstances (or
both) these individuals are likely to be out of the main stream of
society in one way or another. They may suddenly shift gears for reasons
apparent to no one but themselves. At times they take the opposite
point of view just for the sake of being opposed. They need to go
their own way and keep their own schedule. Being confined or pigeon
holed is an unacceptable situation they resent.
MERCURY in 11th HOUSE
Mercury in the eleventh house indicates those who are likely to use
friends and acquaintances as sounding boards as well as inspiration
for their thoughts and ideas. Whatever their mental pursuits, they
enjoy doing them in the company of friends. Mercury's influence in
the eleventh house also implies interest in clubs and fraternal associations,
and if other aspects of their personality or background do not mute
the desire, they not only join organizations but play active roles
in them. They are the ones likely to end up writing or publishing
newsletters or handling paper work for their organizations. Because
they do a lot of circulating, they often end up with more acquaintances
than real friends. This may also have to do with the fact that many
friendships are based on mental rapport rather than deep emotional
commitment. The negative potential of this Mercury house position
includes those who develop antisocial behavior, eccentricity in thought
or communication, and a too critical or cynical attitude. Mercury's
influence indicates their best friends are apt to be siblings or neighbors,
and that they may develop a special, or secret form of communication
with them.
MERCURY conjunct JUPITER
Mercury conjunct Jupiter indicates those who may or may not seek to
attain advanced degrees but sooner or later get caught up in expanding
their consciousness and improving their intellectual horizons on some
level. Their disposition toward communicating with others is generous,
and they are happy to share ideas and information, though they may
tend to attach too great of an importance to their own thoughts and
opinions at times.
MERCURY opposite URANUS
Mercury opposite Uranus indicates those apt to possess remarkable
intelligence and perception. Their trouble is often a matter of avoiding
mental confusion, otherwise it is impossible to coordinate and clearly
communicate their thoughts and ideas. Easily distracted they find
it difficult to relax. Their physical movements are apt to be quite
jerky and often result in bumping into things.
JUPITER in 11th HOUSE
Jupiter in the eleventh house indicates those who derive much happiness
and joy through friends, children, and social contacts. They are very
optimistic and enjoy everything life has to offer. These individuals
are likely to gain personal growth and advancement through their network
of friends and acquaintances. If they have no motivation or opportunity
to make friends or join groups and associations, their progress may
suffer accordingly. Sometimes these individuals collect more friends
and acquaintances than a single lifetime can handle. They may feel
they are friends with someone even though the association consists
of nothing more than a single brief meeting. The negative potential
includes those who never settle for anything less than the best and
seek to attain the highest social status, no matter what the cost
or whether it is obtained at the expense of more important values.
It also implies those who find it difficult to ever be content, always
wanting more than they have.
JUPITER trine SATURN
Jupiter trine Saturn implies luck, but it is a generational aspect.
While many of those born with this fortunate planetary influence are
successful, their personal success will have to be supported by other
factors in their personalities and backgrounds. Conditions in society
are favorable for them, enabling most of them to be at least moderately
successful, while many others without this aspect, for example, may
be unemployed, or unsuitable in some way for the demands of the current
conditions.
HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your
subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or
work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow,
disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry.
It also has connection with the job or health of your marriage or
business partner.
CAPRICORN on 12th HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the twelfth house indicates the likelihood of individuals
who voluntarily or involuntarily spend much time alone. They may have
outgoing personalities and many friends, but one circumstance or another
forces them into solitude. They may also have such fear of being alone
that they actively seek to avoid it at all costs. There is also implication
their marriage partners may have difficulty finding employment, or
jobs that entail many responsibilities which becomes another reason
why these individuals may have to spend time alone. There is also
a possibility their marriage partners will suffer from lingering or
chronic illness. Success is possible, but gaining true recognition
for what they do may be difficult. They are apt to be victims of unfounded
fears and unnecessary worry. Though their curiosity about psychic
phenomena and the occult may be keen, they don't really want to know
the future, at least not their own future. They are, however, quite
ready to study the past, and from their understanding of it, build
the structure by which they can effectively deal with the present.
MARS in 12th HOUSE
Mars in the twelfth house indicates those whose job or profession
may not be connected with what they really want to do. It is also
an indication of working in places of confinement such as hospitals
or prisons, or charitable organizations. The influence of Mars in
the twelfth house also suggests that the activities of these individuals
may go unnoticed. In some cases, they may deliberately attempt to
be secretive, while in other cases, their movements go undetected.
The twelfth house position of Mars indicates activities that involve
the occult, dreams, or the unconscious mind. The negative potential
includes the possibility of the loss of a partner, being cheated or
deceived by a partner, and unrealistic ambitions and undertakings.
The real energy and depth of passion in these individuals may be of
a kind not readily apparent to others.
MARS square NEPTUNE
One of the biggest frustrations of those with Mars square Neptune
is having their efforts go unrewarded, or worse, having their efforts
make no effect at all. Disorganization, disorderliness, and lack of
motivation needlessly complicates their lives. Getting things done
often seems overwhelming, even though they can be deluded into thinking
everything will turn out all right. In some situations this is just
as well since they save themselves needless aggravation.
