PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned with your individual traits.

The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon), learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical energy (Mars).

The second section describes how well you deal internally with the external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations (Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals, morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and distribution of natural resources (Pluto).

SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about. It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take, and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect and authority, to impress and influence others.

SUN in CANCER
As the fourth sign of the zodiac, Cancer represents the fourth stage in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. In Cancer the need is not one of individual survival as it was in the first three signs. Here, it is eternal survival through perpetuation of the species. It is the sign of fertility and nurture, and Cancerians have strong identification with these matters in one form or another. It doesn't mean all of them are good cooks or efficient housekeepers, but they all want to feel part of a family. They enjoy feeding others as much as they enjoy feeding themselves. They are also ready to supply emotional nurturing by "mothering" everyone who appears to be in need. When upset, they tend to use food as consolation, which in turn, results in problems with excess weight. As an offshoot of their sense of familial relationships, they often develop an interest in genealogy and history in general.

Cancerians are doers. They set out to accomplish things and, one way or another, they want to obtain their goals. In spite of their emotional sensitivity, they are strong-willed and have no trouble expressing what they want, then finding a way to get it. The Crab is their astrological symbol and there are certain crab-like gestures directly associated with the behavior of Cancerians. Just as the crab walks sideways rather than straight ahead, Cancerians use an indirect approach in accomplishing their goals. Rather than direct confrontation or request, they are more apt to resort to using emotional appeal. For example, they will get others to cooperate by making them feel like part of a family. At the slightest provocation or threat the crab quickly hides in the sand or retreats into a shell until safer times are at hand. Cancerians who feel threatened or suspect that their attempts may be unsuccessful, often hide their true ambitions until a more comfortable situation occurs.

Cancerians react emotionally to everything they experience in life. That is, before they take physical action, before they sort out the practicality of what they are doing, and before they reason things out intellectually, they must express their feelings. They wear their hearts on their sleeves. Many Cancerians succeed in life because their genuine concern for the welfare of others inspires loyalty as well as cooperation.

The Moon, celestial guardian of human emotions, rules Cancer. The biggest struggle for Cancerians is to avoid becoming prisoners of their own emotions. Though they can be outwardly gregarious, they are shy and secretive about their personal matters. However, once they feel comfortable in a situation or relationship, they relax and completely open up even to the point of dominating the situation. Not usually ones to suffer in silence, they have to make an effort not to inflict their moods and endless recitations of their feelings or emotional troubles on others. Once they learn to keep excess emotions in control, their intuition can be remarkably accurate. Their emotional insecurity makes them want to hang on to things. They hate to throw anything away, and many end up avid collectors, conservators, and savers of string. It is equally difficult for them to give up on failed relationships, and still harder for them to learn the difference between caring and possessiveness. When they receive criticism, even constructive criticism, they tend to take it as a personal indictment instead of using it to attain personal growth and maturity.

Participation in physical fitness or sports activities becomes an important, often vital way for Cancerians to work out their emotional stress. They are especially adaptable to team sports since they tend to view their team members as part of a family-like group. Favorite Cancerian sports are swimming, fishing, sailing and other water activities. They also enjoy skiing, ice skating, and mountain climbing. Cancerians are creative. Even those who may not have a particular talent can use some type of involvement with art, music, or writing as another method of emotional release, instead of indulging in eating binges or other destructive habits. Living or spending time near the water is a relaxing, as well as creatively stimulating environment for Cancerians.

Cancer colors are white, silver, and pale yellow. Vulnerable parts of the body are the breasts and stomach. Stomach aches, food allergies, and hysterics are the usual afflictions of Cancerians. Cancer rules silver, and the ruby as well as the pearl are considered Cancerian birthstones. The surroundings of a beautiful piece of silver are reflected in its shiny polished surface. Similarly, the emotionally sensitive nature of Cancerians tends to reflect the people and circumstances surrounding them. The ruby, a variety of corundum, is one of the hardest minerals known, while the pearl is soft and easily scratched. These gems uniquely illustrate the two contrasting sides of the Cancerian personality; hard and determined as well as soft and vulnerable. Cancerian flowers are the water lily (lotus), iris, poppy (white), carnation (white) and southern magnolia.

MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences. It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional, and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment. It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important females in your life.

MOON in SCORPIO
Those born with the moon in a Water sign need to establish solid emotional commitments. Before considering the practicality of a situation, and before objectively examining the facts, they react emotionally. They are highly intuitive, though at times, it is deceptively self-serving. As lunar Water sign personalities, those with moon in Scorpio are primarily led by their emotions. If they are subjected to emotional manipulation or deprivation in childhood, they are not going to reveal their vulnerability by openly expressing their feelings or needs. If they are raised in a non-threatening environment, they will probably emerge as mild mannered, easy to get along with adults. There is no denying the potential for hedonism, possessiveness, jealousy, and revenge in these individuals but not all of them give in to such destructive energies. Those who do are likely to suffer accordingly, reaping their rewards in this life rather than the next.

Scorpio moon personalities do not want to be rushed or forced into making a commitment. Once they make an emotional commitment to a project, idea, or relationship, they tenaciously pursue and hang on to it. Their emotional nature is accompanied by strong will power and amazing ability to overcome adversity. Instinctive understanding of human motivation and behavior gives them an emotional advantage, a conscious or subconscious way to control themselves as well as others. The mistake many of them make is being so intent on controlling others, that they never learn to effectively control themselves. Their stubborn nature makes it difficult for others to convince them to change their opinions and behavior or to break undesirable habits.

Women with Scorpio moon are apt to be shrewd, and when they have high intelligence, it is likely to be brilliant. Their ambition is not so much a matter of wanting great wealth for its own sake as it is their desire to gain power. Men with Scorpio moon can be driven to distraction by situations that offer no solution, and by people who refuse to tell them anything. Their emotional nature is well suited to deal with economic, human, or natural resources.

MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information. It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?

MERCURY in CANCER
The enhanced emotional influence of Mercury in Cancer implies imagination, creativity or artistic talent. These individuals may find it difficult to separate their thoughts from their feelings. They are extremely susceptible to consciously or subconsciously absorbing the ideas and thoughts of those around them. This makes objectivity and originality hard for them to generate. They can, however, inject valuable intuitive or instinctive elements into ideas or into the expression of ideas to make them more appealing and effective. Whatever their ideas may be, or however they may have been generated, Mercury in Cancer individuals need to find some means of personally expressing them. They will not be content to go unnoticed or unappreciated. Methods and motivation for learning, communication and transportation are subject to their prevailing mood at any given time.

VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance, marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit of pleasure.

VENUS in CANCER
The social orientation of individuals with natal Venus in Cancer is very much affected by their emotional state at any given time. Sensitive though not particularly shy, they may be the one to take the initiative in relationships. Unless other factors interfere, they enjoy domestic and family life. Even confirmed bachelors with this Venus position tend to keep cozy, well-managed homes in spite of the lack of a spouse or offspring. They are also responsive to the needs and welfare of parents or siblings. Social attitudes and behavior of these individuals are warm and caring, but they can be too possessive and jealous, driving away the very people for whom they care the most.

MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills. It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations, and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.

MARS in LEO
Mars in Leo individuals are likely to be very generous with their time and attention. Inclined toward grandiose gestures and improbable schemes, whatever they do is usually done in a big way. Sometimes their energy and enthusiasm are such inspirational forces they are actually able to accomplish some of the seemingly impossible things they set out to do. Strong determination is another important factor in their stunning accomplishments. If they allow stubborn pride to interfere, however, they can waste valuable time. Their efforts may be very creative, though they may need to be reminded of practical considerations and assisted by those more attentive to mundane details.

JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels; physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.

JUPITER in LEO
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Leo generate enthusiasm for growth and expansion in many areas, but most often their energetic focus is in art, design, drama, or religion. Whatever direction their efforts take however, it is liable to be somewhat overdone or exaggerated, as is the usual case with Leo's influence. Generosity is to be expected in these individuals, as well as the capacity for maintaining high principles. The pomp and pageantry of traditional rituals attract their imaginations and inspire their enthusiastic participation.

SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and meaning.

SATURN in CANCER
Individuals with Saturn in Cancer find their home or domestic life limited in some way. Family responsibilities may severely limit their own activities. They may be deprived of a home or family when young, or, as adults their efforts to establish their own home or family may be restricted. The nurturing they received or their own nurturing abilities may be limited. Relationships with women and young children are also liable to be inhibited. There is also the positive potential that their creative talents will be constructively developed and applied.

URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures. Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique. Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers, and the media.

URANUS in GEMINI
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Gemini want freedom of speech and communication. Research and development of innovative technology and methods of communication are eagerly undertaken. All new ideas get attention, and freedom of information is emphasized.

NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism, and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years, taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs. Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion, disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment, and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.

NEPTUNE in LIBRA
During the most recent period of Neptune in Libra in 1942-1957 the establishment of the United Nations was typical of the Libran effort to establish peace. Neptune's influence is also evident since the U. N. has had minimal effect in accomplishing its goals. Equality (Libra) for minorities (Neptune) may get attention but real solutions may prove illusive.

PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope. Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.

PLUTO in LEO
Pluto's last period in Leo was 1938-1957. Leo rules the king or representative government. During Pluto's transit of Leo in the late 1600's and early 1700's, John Locke, philosopher of the English Revolution and American Revolution, wrote his famous essays stating that governments existed by virtue of voluntary agreements and their function was to protect the rights of individuals.

PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope. The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.

HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health and the type of illnesses you may experience.

PISCES ASCENDANT
A Pisces Ascendant indicates individuals with flexible personalities, that is, they can easily hide their own traits and take on the characteristics of others. In spite of pleasant dispositions and willingness to adapt to changing circumstance and the demands of other people, they can be surprisingly strong and determined, but their strength of character is also determined by other important factors in their backgrounds.

They have highly emotional natures and are apt to have quiet, shy personalities. Their compassion can be overwhelming, as is their propensity to become victims of their own vulnerability. Almost before they realize it, or in some cases because they actually seek it, they become their own worst enemy. They are not above using subterfuge and game-playing rather than direct confrontation to get what they want. If however, they develop self-confidence, these less-than-honest emotional ploys are not apt to surface in their personalities or behavior patterns.

Pisces is ruled by Neptune, planet of illusion and imagination, an indication that they are apt to have little understanding of how they appear to others. The influence of Neptune can also add an element of glamor or mystery to their appearances. They can for example, either photograph extremely well or their likeness on film may be extremely poor. In either case, photographs fail to capture their true appearance. Pisces is also ruled by this sign's ancient ruler Jupiter, planet of inspiration and drama. Neptune and Jupiter blend together producing the likelihood of those who are highly imaginative and view life the way they want it to be, rather than the way it really is. They are prone to feelings of abandonment and to feeling sorry for themselves, and are easily disillusioned.

Extremely sensitive individuals, they are apt to have artistic talent as well as psychic abilities. They may have a spiritual or philosophical bent, and great appreciation for education, even if their own has been limited. They love traveling, dancing, and sports. Though it is by no means universal with Pisces Rising, these individuals are apt to be less-than-average in physical stature with a tendency to retain fluids. Their addictive natures make them extremely vulnerable to becoming victims of habit-forming substances. Sensitivity to medicine and anesthesia, and problems with their feet are physical complaints they are most apt to experience.

HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates the values and priorities you establish throughout life.

ARIES on 2nd HOUSE
Aries ruling the second house indicates individuals who may expend more energy and enthusiasm on how they make money, than in pursuit of money for its own sake. They are likely to be enthusiastic spenders rather than savers, since accumulation of money is rarely their primary motivation. If they do possess love of wealth for its own sake, they may be so passionately dedicated to accumulating great fortunes that they never spend their money or enjoy the advantages it can provide. Aries represents animated life, and the second house Aries influence means these individuals value energy and vitality. They will pursue activities and people that encourage or engender these forces in themselves. They find it difficult to enjoy doing absolutely nothing, wanting their energy to be spent as generously as they are apt to spend money or other assets. Lack of activity can cause far more unhappiness in their lives than lack of money. The negative possibilities of Aries on the second house include individuals who are possessive and selfish, or want to buy the affections or cooperation of others.

HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation, self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also describes the job or health of your father.

TAURUS on 3rd HOUSE
Taurus ruling the third house indicates individuals who are apt to be very sociable within their immediate environment. They attempt to establish good relations with neighbors and actively participate in community projects, especially when they are invited to do so and when they know their efforts will be recognized and appreciated. They are apt to have close, or at least very cordial relationships with siblings and there is usually much visiting back and forth. The negative potential for Taurus on the third house suggests the opposite situation may occur and these individuals intentionally or unintentionally become involved in (or even initiate) disagreements with siblings or neighbors. It may indicate a lack of siblings, or that these individuals live in remote areas where there are no immediate neighbors. Taurus on the third house implies that early schooling presents these individuals with some of the best opportunities to make friends, one of whom they may marry or with whom they establish a business partnership. Another possibility is that they will find marriage or business partners among their neighbors.

URANUS in 3rd HOUSE
Uranus in the third house indicates those with a keen intellect, though its manifestations can be highly unpredictable. It is difficult for these individuals to use or communicate what they learn unless they practice retention, develop organization, and eliminate distractions. Taking tests can also be difficult. They want to convey what they know rather than what others require them to know. Likely to be very adept and self-taught individuals, they enjoy interesting trivia and knowledge of odd and unusual subjects. Their intellectual and physical reactions to stimuli are immediate. However, consistency and a steady rhythm are difficult to maintain. Unpredictable, jerky movements can make them very clumsy, and in some cases, accident prone. In the structured routine of classroom instruction they grow restless. They find it hard to sit still for long periods even when being entertained. If subjected to long-winded sermons or boring lectures, they are sure to head for the nearest exit. For all their jumpiness and unpredictability, they have remarkable mental poise. Rarely frightened or upset by unusual situations or people, these individuals often have a very calming influence on others who are mentally distressed or hysterical. Eagerly receptive to new ideas and methods, they also come up with ingenious ideas and clever solutions of their own. Separation from siblings is a strong likelihood. Plans often develop complications or go awry for one reason or another, usually due to circumstances for which these individuals are not responsible. As if to make up for being unable to plan ahead, they can do things spontaneously or at the last minute with relative ease.

URANUS sextile PLUTO
Uranus sextile Pluto only applies to those born in the mid-1940's. Its influence is generational and implies motivation and opportunities in science (especially atomic energy), technology, and medicine. Born into a generation that had just exploded the first atom bomb, their lives are affected by the problems connected with atomic energy, but positively influenced by advancement in medicine, computers and other technological inventions and innovations.

HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning as well as the end of various cycles in your life.

GEMINI on 4th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the fourth house indicates those who may prefer to work at home or pursue many hobbies at home. They are apt to have extensive libraries or collections of magazines and other factual material. If they happen to be more mechanically inclined than intellectually oriented, home becomes a base for tinkering with all kinds of mechanical devices, the most popular of which are automobiles. Gemini's influence on the fourth house indicates the possibility that as adults they may live with siblings or in the same neighborhood as siblings. They allow their homes to be used for community meetings or other neighborhood projects. The negative possibilities imply the opposite influence, and these individuals have arguments or separation from siblings and estrangements or disagreements with neighbors. Gemini on the fourth house implies restless domestic natures. These individuals may have frequent changes of residence, constantly alter or redecorate their homes, or own more than one home at a time.

SATURN in 4th HOUSE
Saturn in the fourth house can mean those who are deprived of a parent early in life. It also suggests austerity and strictness that may apply to the personality of one or both parents, to the emotional content of their home, or to physical aspects of their surroundings. Whatever their actual childhood circumstance or family history may be, these individuals harbor great concerns about it. As adults they may be strict and inflexible in their own domestic environment, or be so negative as to dismiss any notion of establishing a home or family. Saturn's positive influence includes those who enjoy very stable family relationships. It also indicates those who live their entire life in the same house or hometown. The negative potential includes those who are homebound, unable through illness or disease to leave their residence. How these individuals learn to handle any hardships related to home and family is an important key to their happiness and success.

SATURN square NEPTUNE
Saturn square Neptune is a generational aspect that implies general laxity toward structure and organization. Noncommittal attitudes prevail just when strong commitments are necessary. Bad timing and a tendency to focus on the wrong issues result in lack of accomplishment and a feeling that something is wrong, but no idea of how to correct the situation. Individuals born in this generation may or may not have a tough time with rules and regulations but may have to deal with those who do.

HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers, capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children, and speculative ventures.

CANCER on 5th HOUSE
Cancer ruling the fifth house indicates strong emotional identification with animals and children. It implies sensitive, romantic individuals who may be quite fertile, either literally or figuratively or both. They may have a tendency to be lax disciplinarians when it comes to dealing with children or pets, but they more than make up for it with their affectionate concern and patience. There is nothing to suggest with certainty they will possess creative talent, but they are sure to have great fondness for the arts or entertainment industries. Unless other factors in their backgrounds interfere, they attract a multitude of friends and acquaintances. They may experience difficulty in gaining emotional maturity in some areas, and are apt to have appetites that are hard to control. There is danger that they will waste their talents if they do not develop a high level of self discipline. Though it doesn't mean they don't enjoy traveling or getting out of the house for social activities, for the most part, they are likely to derive their greatest enjoyment from doing things at home or with family members.

SUN in 5th HOUSE
While it does not necessarily mean unbridled hedonism, those with natal Sun in the fifth house have enhanced appetite for pleasurable activities. They may find it difficult to attain certain levels of maturity. To attain it, some will repress their desire for even modest pleasures. Their personal identification is strongly tied to artistic or creative talents, children, romantic associations, and social life. There is danger that in order to impress and indulge others, they will waste talent and resources on luxuries and entertainment. They are romantic and humanitarian, vital if not always strong, and noble if not always wise.

SUN conjunct MERCURY
These individuals are apt to be very subjective in their opinions and ideas. Unless they make concerted efforts, their receptiveness to learning is going to stay primarily limited to their self-interests, which in turn limits their growth and progress as individuals. It is hard to separate their own ideas from others since consciously or subconsciously their egos have a tendency to appropriate everything. If natal Mercury is in a different sign than natal Sun, there is less chance of ego involvement and more mental receptiveness.

SUN conjunct VENUS
These individuals usually possess natural charm and social ease. Their egos are tied into their relations and interactions with others. They need to be liked and seek a wide variety of social contacts. The negative side of this aspect includes those who are antisocial and shun the company of others, or become rude and hostile. They are susceptible to flattery and not above using it themselves with successful effect. They are apt to be attracted to art, music, and beauty in all forms. Unless there are negative factors in their personalities or backgrounds to discourage such traits, they have good humor and the ability to flirt without offense.

SUN conjunct SATURN
Inhibitions these individuals feel as adults are likely to have been caused by austere or restricted childhoods. Whether they end up liking it or not, accepting it or rebelling against it, their success in life requires tradition and structure. They are usually very ambitious and strive for positions of authority. There is too much worry in some of these individuals, and they tend to be sober and inflexible, always sticking rigorously to the rules. It may be easier for them to accept the difficulties in life than to just relax and enjoy things, without constantly looking over their shoulders for trouble. On the positive side this aspect also signifies those of great character and strength, the people whom others come to admire and trust.

VENUS in 5th HOUSE
Venus in the fifth house indicates individuals with the ability to raise socializing and the pursuit of pleasure to an art form. Theirs is such a merry, generous nature that others don't notice or become offended if they happen to overindulge themselves. They can be such thoughtful and excellent lovers that their amorous conquests don't seem to mind being in a long line of other romantic partners. They enjoy expensive clothes and other luxury items. The potential for artistic or other creative talents leads quite a few of them to a career in stage and costume design, music, writing, or illustration. They are apt to have special rapport with children, understanding what sort of activities amuse and entertain them. The negative potential of this Venus house position includes the possibility of encountering problems with children and romance, bad luck in speculative ventures, and lack of ability to derive enjoyment from anything.

MERCURY in 5th HOUSE
Mercury in the fifth house indicates those who identify creative talent with intellectual skill. They are likely to possess talent for writing, acting, or the ability to impersonate others. Though not above taking a chance on one throw of the dice, they are just as apt to enjoy learning the real mechanics of gambling or trading stocks and commodities. They may even devise unique systems of their own for gambling and other speculative ventures. They are most likely to be romantically attracted to those with intellectual ability. Romance may bloom in their own neighborhood or they may be introduced to a romantic partner through their siblings. Mercury's influence in the fifth house suggests fickleness and the tendency to indulge in more than one romance at a time. It is also an indication they can be overly critical of a romantic partner or romance in general. They take pride in children's intellectual accomplishments and enjoy helping them with their studies, which is also the reason many of these individuals are excellent teachers.

MERCURY conjunct VENUS
There is no certain indication of the depth of intellect in individuals with Mercury conjunct Venus but they are sure to have humor and charm. They are good talkers and are apt to possess remarkable communicative or artistic talents. Their pleasure in learning can mean research and serious scholarship in some of them and fondness for gossip in others.

HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your health, and physical fitness.

CANCER on 6th HOUSE
Cancer ruling the sixth house indicates those with delicate or changeable patterns in their general health. This is not an indication of poor health, what it amounts to most of the time is that they have a tendency to experience medical complaints that are annoying but do not usually represent major illnesses. Many of them would prefer to work at home and pursue jobs or businesses they can successfully operate at home. There is also the possibility their work will be related to food, homes, domestic products or services, women, or children. They usually exhibit mothering instincts toward co-workers or develop strong emotional ties with them. As a rule they work better with women or children than with men, but the strength of that instinct depends on other factors in their individual natal charts. They may demonstrate inconsistency in work habits and perhaps in their ability to retain jobs. This characteristic is not necessarily related to poor attitudes or laziness on their part. Their health and psychological outlook are strongly affected by the type of work they do and when the working environment is not suitable for one reason or another, they may have frequent absences. On the other hand, if they derive emotional satisfaction from their jobs, they make excellent workers.

PLUTO in 6th HOUSE
Pluto in the sixth house indicates those who seek to control their daily environment. If they work at home, they are compelled to control their domestic environment. If there is too much chaos at home, they may seek to work elsewhere, staying out of the house as much as possible. It is not a good idea for others to visit them unannounced. If their daily environment is in an office, they work better without interference from co-workers. These individuals prefer to work for themselves, or in a job that allows them to work alone, and where they are given control of their assignments or co-workers. They are capable of completely reorganizing their work environment and revising job assignments, often with highly successful results. Many of them possess great power of concentration, attention to detail, and formidable research and investigative skills. Other Pluto potentials include those with enormous physical strength and stamina. When afflicted with illness, these individuals exhibit astounding recuperative power. Pluto's influence suggests that by choice or circumstance, there may be secrecy and hidden control or manipulation related to their work or health.

MARS in 6th HOUSE
Mars in the sixth house indicates those who concentrate much energy and vitality in their work. It indicates mechanical skills, and many of these individuals are inventors, surgeons, tailors, machinists, engineers, builders, and inveterate tinkerers. Those with managerial skills are tireless administrators who know how to extract maximum efficiency from their staffs. There is potential for them to choose a line of work that involves an element of risk. The risk could be physical, economic, or, in the case of those who work with very ill or disturbed people, it could be emotional. Their work may involve manufacture or sale of knives, weapons, explosives, or fire-fighting equipment. Whatever their job, they are happiest in active environments that offer a wide variety of challenges and tasks. The influence of Mars also suggests enthusiasm for maintaining health and physical fitness. If other factors contribute to giving them a high level of energy, they have no trouble engaging in a variety of activities that keep them in shape. They must guard against high blood pressure, fever, headaches, and stress.

MARS conjunct JUPITER
Mars conjunct Jupiter indicates those with much energy and enthusiasm in their natures. Depending on the other factors in their personalities and backgrounds, their enthusiasm may be directed to increase their own importance or turned to philanthropic endeavors or perhaps both. Overestimation and impatience are problems, but the intelligence and grandness of spirit they often exhibit is very inspiring. Publishing, promotion, and cultural pursuits are major attractions.

JUPITER in 6th HOUSE
Jupiter in the sixth house indicates those who require much latitude in their work. Many of them want to operate their own business. When employed by others however, they are happiest when unsupervised, able to work at their own pace, make their own deadlines, and allowed to take at least some liberty with tasks and projects. They prefer working with the public and in highly visible areas. Travel or publishing may be related to their job. They may be employed by relatives from their mother's side of the family. Though they may tend to exaggerate their own importance at times, they are cheerful and optimistic toward those who work for or with them. The negative potential includes chronic disorganization and procrastination when it comes to work, and health problems that result from overindulgence.

HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters, negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as well as adversarial.

VIRGO on 7th HOUSE
Virgo ruling the seventh house indicates those with concern and a critical (perhaps overcritical) attitude toward partnerships, contracts, public relations in general, and the law. They may end up in partnerships or alliances of one sort or another with siblings, or aunts and uncles on the mother's side of the family. They may have several partnerships at the same time concerning different enterprises. There is also the potential for more than one marriage. The tendency to be too critical or idealistic toward their marriage partners can put a strain on these relationships, or mean they never marry at all since no one will ever be perfect enough to suit them. They can be very talkative and go out of their way to have a conversation with practically everyone they meet, often giving advice as well as patiently listening to the problems of complete strangers. Many of these individuals have excellent memories for names, faces, and facts about other people.

NEPTUNE in 7th HOUSE
Neptune in the seventh house indicates those who may have a hard time being understood by their marriage or business partner, by those with whom they share joint ventures or cooperative efforts, and by other people in general. Whether or not they intentionally project such images, something about them may seem glamorous, illusive, or mysterious to others. They can unwittingly arouse feelings of fear or jealousy. However, they are also able to establish highly sensitive or spiritual relationships. Their true personality and their physical appearance are apt to be difficult for others to clearly recognize or accurately describe. On the other hand, these individuals may find it difficult to recall names or appearances of people they meet briefly, and even those they may have met several times. The negative potentials include the possibility of those who experience untimely loss of a partner, or those whose marriage partner is emotionally disturbed, disabled, from a minority group, or addicted to habit-forming substances. There is potential for deception or unrealistic expectations in partnership, though there is no certainty about which partner is at fault in this respect. Neptune's influence also suggests a marriage partner with highly developed intuition or psychic ability, or who possesses considerable artistic sensitivity or talent. Certain elements of illusion, confusion or mystery are likely to be associated with marriage or partnership.

HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and use material assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house also indicates sexual attitudes and behavior.

LIBRA on 8th HOUSE
Libra ruling the eighth house indicates that there must always be a fair and equitable balance concerning joint resources and sexual matters. Even if these individuals do not deliberately strive for such a balance, it may be imposed on them in one way or another. For example, they are apt to (or be forced to) give back in equal measure whatever they gain or lose in monetary assets or social status through marriage. The need for balance may also extend to the development and use of their personal assets, that is, their talent and skills. If they neglect their own talent and abilities and depend for success and happiness solely on the money or whatever is provided by others, they never attain the goals they really want. The negative potential includes the possibility of sexually related diseases, neurotic social tendencies, or financial loss or loss of social status through marriage. The influence of Libra also presents the possibility that the income of their marriage partners will be derived through music, literature, fashion and design, the cosmetic or floral industry, or law.

HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing, publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies, religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits. It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health of your mother.

SCORPIO on 9th HOUSE
Scorpio ruling the ninth house indicates those who are apt to equate advanced education or training with gaining personal power or status. Though they may pursue these things to increase earnings, they also feel that having such knowledge or skills also gives control over other aspects of their lives. They are likely to possess the ability to separate what is important from that which is irrelevant, and concentrate efforts to a remarkable degree in broadening their intellectual horizons or developing specialized skills. If their methods don't involve formal education, they may be avid readers of newspapers and journals and enjoy solving crosswords or other challenging mental puzzles and games. There is potential for extremes in their ideas regarding religious views or philosophical investigations. They may come to regard such matters as meaningless exercises and completely reject the religious teaching or philosophy with which they were raised, or, they may become fanatical zealots. Many are excellent psychiatrists, spiritual counselors, judges, teachers, writers, salespersons or researchers. Whether by choice or circumstance there is apt to be mystery or secrecy connected with higher education, foreign travel, or spiritual activities.

MOON in 9th HOUSE
Moon in the ninth house indicates those who tend to idealize relationships, which can mean they are very romantic but sometimes not very realistic. Many are adept at foreign languages, promotion, and public relations. The strongest potential of ninth-house moon is emotional identification with higher learning whether or not they obtain degrees, with cultural pursuits whether or not they have artistic talent, with publishing whether or not they are writers, with travel whether or not they go anywhere, with religion whether or not they are religious, or with politics whether or not they run for public office. Their residence may be connected with a church, university, or in a foreign country. They may marry a foreigner, or their mother is from a foreign country or of a different race than the father.

MOON square MARS
Moon square Mars indicates those who usually succeed because of their energetic and tireless perseverance. If they try ten things, maybe only one will work, but in the end that one thing will be what matters. They are inclined to aggressiveness and even rudeness, quick temper, and the inclination to be too hasty in judgments, allowing their emotions to overrule logical thought. Once they control haste, anger or impatience, their physical and emotional energy begins to work for them and not against them, and they accomplish everything they set out to do.

MOON square JUPITER
Moon square Jupiter indicates those who tend to become too emotionally involved in situations they should leave entirely alone. Their curiosity aroused, they wander into these traps at every turn. A poor memory does little to remind them of the last time they committed the same error in judgment. These individuals are apt to have great communicative skills in one form or another, and their ultimate success comes though developing them.

MOON sextile NEPTUNE
Moon sextile Neptune indicates those who with a remarkable sense of timing, though they are not always sure just how they manage to turn up in the right place at the right time. They are usually able to take advantage of opportunities because their innate sixth sense leads them in the right direction, or, in some cases, stops them from being misled by false situations that appear to others as valuable opportunities.

HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals, public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates to your father and his influence in your life.

SAGITTARIUS on 10th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the tenth house indicates the likelihood of those who consciously or subconsciously seek a public forum for exhibiting their intellectual skills, artistic talent, or specialized training. They are apt to feel strongly that what they know must be transmitted to others, which in turn makes many of them pursue careers as teachers, writers, lecturers, salespersons, actors, politicians or clerics. They may not necessarily seek the spotlight themselves but may work on projects that receive public recognition, or become promoters, agents, or fund raisers. Whatever they do, they want to work with the public in some capacity. They are also apt to gain publicity for something they have done or been associated with outside of their regular work or profession. The negative potential can mean difficulty with, or loss of the father. It also implies problems with superiors or in attaining promotions or other personal goals. These individuals may be put in situations for which they are not adequately prepared or for which they lack necessary skills.

HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong, and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations and capacity for happiness.

CAPRICORN on 11th HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the eleventh house indicates the likelihood of heavy responsibilities associated with friends. Capricorn does not imply lack of friends but they are apt to be few in number. These individuals will also tend to establish more friendships later in life, or with people older than themselves. There is also implication that friendships will be solid, enduring relationships. They may harbor the feeling that they are friendless no matter how many people regard them with great affection. Capricorn's influence can mean aversion to joining organizations. However, those who do join a group may be handed or voluntarily assume responsibilities within the organization. Income from self-employment or through a career (as opposed to a job) may either be considerably delayed or have some burden or responsibility attached to it. Their fathers are apt to have little wealth, and if he does, they have difficulty gaining access to it. Real happiness may be difficult to achieve. Either they feel guilty about being happy, or are truly discontent no matter what they achieve or how many material advantages they gain.

HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow, disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry. It also has connection with the job or health of your marriage or business partner.

CAPRICORN on 12th HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the twelfth house indicates the likelihood of individuals who voluntarily or involuntarily spend much time alone. They may have outgoing personalities and many friends, but one circumstance or another forces them into solitude. They may also have such fear of being alone that they actively seek to avoid it at all costs. There is also implication their marriage partners may have difficulty finding employment, or jobs that entail many responsibilities which becomes another reason why these individuals may have to spend time alone. There is also a possibility their marriage partners will suffer from lingering or chronic illness. Success is possible, but gaining true recognition for what they do may be difficult. They are apt to be victims of unfounded fears and unnecessary worry. Though their curiosity about psychic phenomena and the occult may be keen, they don't really want to know the future, at least not their own future. They are, however, quite ready to study the past, and from their understanding of it, build the structure by which they can effectively deal with the present.
