PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned
with your individual traits.
The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon),
learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and
sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical
energy (Mars).
The second section describes how well you deal internally with the
external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for
happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations
(Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative
ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status
quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals,
morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with
or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government
and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and
distribution of natural resources (Pluto).
SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential
and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about.
It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take,
and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is
your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect
and authority, to impress and influence others.
SUN in ARIES
As the first sign of the zodiac, Aries represents the first stage
in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. The raw energy
of life itself, which is the first step in being part of the universe,
is evident in the character and make-up of Aries people. Babies think
of themselves as the center of everyone else's universe. As they grow
older, they learn that they are not the center but part of a family
group. It is the karmic responsibility of the Aries-born to accept
the idea that they are not the center of the universe but part of
the larger social order of all men. Aries personalities who do not
develop this kind of maturity are demanding and infantile in their
behavior. They want what they want, when they want it. The vital life
force that is their celestial heritage can either be used to inspire
others as well as themselves, or it can be turned inward to reflect
only their own selfish needs, and as a result, they fail to evolve
as individuals.
Aries people are doers. They set out to accomplish things and are
determined to succeed one way or another. The astrological symbol
for Aries is the Ram and, considering the sheer force of energy and
enthusiasm by which they accomplish their goals, it is not off the
mark to suggest that they "ram" their way to success. They must, however,
learn the difference between being confidently aggressive--a responsible
"take-charge person" on whom others rely to get things moving-- and
being rudely aggressive-- a "know-it-all" who is insensitive to the
feelings as well as the wisdom of others.
Aries individuals react in a physical way to everything they experience
in life. That is, before they assess the practicality or worth of
what they are doing, before they sort out their true emotions, and,
before they take time to reason things out intellectually, their tendency
is to shoot first and ask questions later. Their passionate nature
is inspiring and flattering to others, but unless impatience and rash
behavior are curbed, their unbridled enthusiasm backfires when they
lose interest just as quickly as they gained it. Theirs is the astrological
sign of the soldier but in their haste, they forget the practicality
of being adequately armed before rushing headlong into physical or
verbal combat. They quickly forget frustration and anger. Since theirs
is essentially a generous nature, their selfishness is usually a result
of carelessness rather than intentional unkindness.
Active, fiery Mars rules Aries and indeed, Aries people are high-spirited,
energetic individuals ready to try anything at least once. Courageous,
optimistic, and friendly, they are lively participants in the everyday
bustle of life, maintaining a frantic pace others find difficult to
match. Constant physical activity works off excess energy, and its
vitalizing influence is important to their intellectual and creative
endeavors. It is usually the energetic Aries who is willing to start
projects others would be afraid to tackle. However, it is also Aries
who often fails to finish things when too many details demand attention
or they simply lose interest. In spite of the physical energy associated
with Aries, they are not above using the inability of others to keep
up with them as an excuse for their own idleness. If they expect others
to provide them with constant stimulation and are unwilling to find
their own diversions, they become lazy. Cut off from physical activity,
they become depressed, unproductive, and overweight.
They are eager athletes and generous players. They enjoy the challenge
of a tough contest, but they can be so stimulated that they become
too aggressive. Aries rules guns and weapons, so it isn't surprising
that many Aries individuals enjoy hunting. Combative by nature, they
also enjoy boxing, wrestling, and most team sports. They are apt to
be mechanically inclined and adept at arts and crafts, typing, working
with machinery, playing musical instruments, or performing magic tricks.
They have a tendency to allow their enthusiasm to exceed their actual
ability. Before taking something apart, they don't stop to wonder
if they can put it back together.
Aries colors are red and white. Vulnerable parts of the body are the
head and face. As a sign of this celestial association, many Aries
individuals are born with a birth mark on their head or face. Headaches,
black eyes, nose bleeds, and insect bites are common Aries complaints.
The birthstone for Aries is the diamond. The tremendous heat and pressure
that nature exerts in turning carbon into hard, brilliant diamonds
represent the strength and physical force in the Aries-born. Flowers
for Aries include the poppy (red), geraniums, honeysuckle, and hollyhocks.
MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency
or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle
relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences.
It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional,
and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment.
It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important
females in your life.
MOON in VIRGO
Except in the pursuit of pleasure (to which many of them can be quite
dedicated) those born with the moon in an Earth sign are not emotionally
spontaneous. They don't nonchalantly accept the responsibility of
long-term relationships, or analyze emotional commitments merely as
a mental exercise. They may hesitate to move at all unless they feel
they are on solid ground, or there is some personal advantage to be
gained by their emotional involvement. As lunar Earth sign personalities,
those with moon in Virgo are guarded about their feelings. They consciously
or subconsciously put up invisible barriers. However, in many cases
they secretly hope others will view these barriers as a challenge
in getting to know them. Their passion can sometimes be confused with
compassion. An over-critical or too analytical approach to emotional
situations makes it difficult for them, as well as others involved,
to freely or spontaneously express feelings. Serious-minded, with
common sense about most things, they can be surprisingly unrealistic
at times. Their creativity always has some practical element. As writers
or artists, for example, they usually stick to subjects or situations
they know best.
Virgo moon personalities are emotionally adaptable. They instinctively
seem to know what it takes to make others feel better. They make many
friends because of their sympathetic nature, but it also means they
are vulnerable to being exploited. Though they are not all scholars,
they are likely to be fond of books and writing. Intellectual curiosity
gives them a penchant for gathering information that can develop into
serious research endeavors, or turn out to be just a fondness for
gossip. At times they can be overly fastidious, usually with regard
to eating habits. Concern with health makes many of them outstanding
health care professionals. Their own preoccupation with health can
become exaggerated to the point of hypochondria, or they can be guilty
of using maladies to attract sympathy. They are mentally and emotionally
stimulated by travel, communication, and information.
Women with Virgo moon may encounter sorrow through marriage. They
can be dreadful nags themselves or become the victims of a nagging
spouse. Men with Virgo moon tend to idealize their wives but may not
be very passionate toward them. Their quiet emotional nature tends
toward domesticity, though they may also have a desire for intrigue
and flamboyancy.
MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way
you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information.
It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical
skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get
where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all
possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?
MERCURY in PISCES
The mental processes of those with natal Mercury in Pisces are influenced
by their emotions. They find it hard to separate emotions from ideas
and opinions, frequently allowing passion and idealism to overrule
logic. Their mental orientation can be unstable, unrealistic, and
overly spiritual. However, they may possess uncanny instincts and
remarkable sensitivity to beauty and design. If supported by other
strengths, they have a photographic memory, mathematical abilities,
and sometimes more common sense than they are given credit for. When
it comes to learning and transportation, it is apt to be their emotional
strength or weakness that determines whether an individual forges
straight ahead or ambles aimlessly from place to place at a snail's
pace.
VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic
tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions
at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance,
marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit
of pleasure.
VENUS in PISCES
The social attitudes and behavior of these individuals is profoundly
influenced by their emotional state. Though the Piscean influence
implies a certain level of shyness, this is not always the case. These
individuals love to have other people around, and enjoy being part
of the interaction that accompanies many activities and dramatic involvements.
However, they are severely hurt if a relationship does not go well,
and as a result, they may be very reluctant when it comes to making
new associations. Their compassionate nature makes it difficult for
them to be harshly judgmental and discriminating in choosing companions.
This is unfortunate since they seem to effortlessly attract people
who take advantage of them. They may possess uncanny instincts regarding
people in other ways however. They may have remarkable skill, for
example, when it comes to putting together the right people in the
right situations.
MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength
and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your
emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills.
It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations,
and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.
MARS in AQUARIUS
Individuals with Mars in Aquarius devote much energy to ideas and
communication. Highly sociable, they are addicted to the telephone,
and will rarely miss opportunities to participate in group activities
and group discussions. Their efforts can be as unpredictable as the
rest of their life style. Totally unmotivated at times, they let themselves
fall into a rut, while at other times, their energy and enthusiasm
flow in a steady stream of focused activity. With no warning, some
unexpected circumstance may force, or at least inspire them to execute
a complete change of attitude and direction.
JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels;
physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation
of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism
and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.
JUPITER in ARIES
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Aries find the areas in which they
experience growth and expansion have a tendency to get out of control.
How inclined or efficient they are at keeping control, or regaining
control when it has been lost, is determined by other factors in their
natal chart. Though they may be able to earn or attract wealth, they
also have a tendency to spend what they have, making it hard for them
to get ahead. They do not pay much attention to details or limitations,
and can easily lose sight of reality but they also have the spirit
and faith to make dreams come true.
SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are
apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does
not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good
fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and
meaning.
SATURN in SAGITTARIUS
Sagittarius is associated with higher education, spirituality, politics,
travel and international endeavors. Individuals with natal Saturn
in Sagittarius encounter limitations and responsibilities in any of
these areas. There is also much to be gained, and they may end up
as acknowledged experts and authorities in their particular fields
of endeavor. Knowledge is not usually a luxury for them. It may be
difficult to acquire purely for its own sake, and it must have structure
and meaningful application. Their spirituality demands the highest
standards but those who become morally righteous are apt to suffer.
URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality
of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people
as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures.
Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking
about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people
with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence
of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications
of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the
aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes
areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be
different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique.
Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as
is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers,
and the media.
URANUS in ARIES
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Aries are
given the energy and courage to explore new fields of research and
technology. They are prepared to accept change for its own sake as
well as other reasons. In turn, this attitude inspires progress. Caution
is necessary however, or in their haste they may destroy that which
was worth keeping.
NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of
society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are
glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism,
and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years,
taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs.
Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign
and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign
is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's
house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your
natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion,
disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't
always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and
describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment,
and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.
NEPTUNE in LEO
The last period of Neptune in Leo was 1914-1929. Leo rules monarchy,
entertainment and art. The Russian monarchy ended, largely because
it refused (in typical Neptunian fashion) to deal with the troubled
conditions that existed in that country. The movie industry saw its
greatest growth and development. The avant-garde nature of Leo combined
with Neptune produced the Dada artistic and literary movement which
in turn, led to surrealism.
PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all
twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve
years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like
atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction
of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence
in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your
personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house
position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope.
Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously
or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also
linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes
the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.
PLUTO in CANCER
Pluto's last period in Cancer was 1912-1939. Cancer rules women and
the family. During the 20's the attitudes and roles of women were
transformed. They demanded greater freedom in society and release
from the drudgery of domestic chores. As a result of the increasing
number of women seeking employment outside of the home, family life
also changed dramatically.
PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope.
The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily
basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances
you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality
and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.
HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is
also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality
and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health
and the type of illnesses you may experience.
PISCES ASCENDANT
A Pisces Ascendant indicates individuals with flexible personalities,
that is, they can easily hide their own traits and take on the characteristics
of others. In spite of pleasant dispositions and willingness to adapt
to changing circumstance and the demands of other people, they can
be surprisingly strong and determined, but their strength of character
is also determined by other important factors in their backgrounds.
They have highly emotional natures and are apt to have quiet, shy
personalities. Their compassion can be overwhelming, as is their propensity
to become victims of their own vulnerability. Almost before they realize
it, or in some cases because they actually seek it, they become their
own worst enemy. They are not above using subterfuge and game-playing
rather than direct confrontation to get what they want. If however,
they develop self-confidence, these less-than-honest emotional ploys
are not apt to surface in their personalities or behavior patterns.
Pisces is ruled by Neptune, planet of illusion and imagination, an
indication that they are apt to have little understanding of how they
appear to others. The influence of Neptune can also add an element
of glamor or mystery to their appearances. They can for example, either
photograph extremely well or their likeness on film may be extremely
poor. In either case, photographs fail to capture their true appearance.
Pisces is also ruled by this sign's ancient ruler Jupiter, planet
of inspiration and drama. Neptune and Jupiter blend together producing
the likelihood of those who are highly imaginative and view life the
way they want it to be, rather than the way it really is. They are
prone to feelings of abandonment and to feeling sorry for themselves,
and are easily disillusioned.
Extremely sensitive individuals, they are apt to have artistic talent
as well as psychic abilities. They may have a spiritual or philosophical
bent, and great appreciation for education, even if their own has
been limited. They love traveling, dancing, and sports. Though it
is by no means universal with Pisces Rising, these individuals are
apt to be less-than-average in physical stature with a tendency to
retain fluids. Their addictive natures make them extremely vulnerable
to becoming victims of habit-forming substances. Sensitivity to medicine
and anesthesia, and problems with their feet are physical complaints
they are most apt to experience.
URANUS in 1st HOUSE
Uranus in the first house indicates individuals who tend to be argumentative
and who enjoy playing devil's advocate. They believe they are different
and unique as an individual, or at least they want to give the appearance
of being so. It is one reason they love to take the opposing side
in discussions. The personality and appearance of these individuals
are often somewhat off-beat or out of step with current fashion. Being
different does not necessarily extend to a fiery or excitable nature.
In fact, they are more likely to possess a calm, quiet, demeanor much
of the time. They are capable, however, of such unexpected behavior
and reactions, it is difficult to predict with certainty what they
will do in any given situation. Though they may require a certain
amount of personal independence, marriage is not usually a problem
unless their partner becomes too dependent or too possessive. They
can get restless if there isn't enough in their immediate environment
to stimulate them but whether or not they will seek to change a boring
existence, depends on other motivating factors in their personality
and background. They are fascinated by strange and unusual things
or people. Intrigued by futuristic topics and technologies, they also
have great interest in the past. History and politics are usually
their favorite subjects.
SUN in 1st HOUSE
Sun in the first house indicates those who consciously or subconsciously
seek to dominate their immediate environment. Whether or not they
actually do is another matter, since their personality is developed
and guided by their ego. If the ego's ambition is not strong, then
the personality is not likely to be assertive. No matter what the
rest of the world may think of them, it is meaningless compared to
what they think of themselves. Pride can make it difficult to accept
advice or criticism. Though much of their enthusiasm and efforts are
directed inward to the greater glory of the self, they are generous
and loyal to their friends. Their energy and vitality can be very
inspiring to those around them.
SUN conjunct JUPITER
These individuals have generous natures, with enormous capacity for
enjoying life and wanting the very best of everything. Whether or
not they pursue a formal education, their intellectual curiosity compels
them to want to know everything and gives them a healthy respect for
knowledge. Negative associations of this conjunction lead in opposite
directions; ruined health and finances caused by constant overestimation
and overindulgence, or, miserable miserliness inspired by exaggerated
self- denial. On the positive side these individuals are true spiritual
leaders, gifted actors, mimics, inspired teachers, writers, and artists.
SUN trine SATURN
Sun trine Saturn indicates individuals with a certain type of luck.
There is no lucky throw of the dice they can count on, it is usually
luck they make for themselves. They may not win at horse races, but
they will always come out ahead in situations where they have worked
hard and for which they have prepared well. Their own actions or other
people impressed with their past prudence and hard work provide any
additional help they need to get ahead.
SUN conjunct URANUS
These individuals are apt to have restless, nervous, or impatient
dispositions that makes it hard for them to completely relax. If there
are no factors in their personalities and backgrounds to mute the
desire for independence, they are also apt to be rebellious, and hate
conformity and confinement in any form. Eccentric and unpredictable,
no one is ever quite sure when and where they will pop up. It is hard
to accept a routine existence, and they must make their own way in
life to be content. They can be remarkably original and ingenious,
not often surprised by very much because for them, anything is possible.
SUN square PLUTO
Sun square Pluto indicates those who are constantly running into situations
which call for the use of all their resources. Sometimes they are
unwilling to give up one thing to gain another and, in these situations,
they lose more often than they win. They have the ability to manipulate
situations to their own advantage, and like it or not, this is often
what they are forced to do in order to gain control over many obstacles
that would otherwise prevent them from succeeding or achieving their
goals.
JUPITER in 1st HOUSE
Jupiter in the first house indicates those with a people-oriented
personality, independence, and optimism that gives them a flair for
exaggeration and dramatic gestures. They possess intellectual curiosity,
and a quick wit. Whether or not they are serious scholars, they have
respect for knowledge. They love good food and drink and as result
have to battle the tendency to gain weight. Their generous proportions
may be represented in spirit rather than girth. Negative factors in
their personality or background can mean self-indulgence gets out
of hand and they become pompous, grossly overweight, dependent on
drugs or alcohol, or sarcastic and cynical. The positive side of Jupiter
suggests talent for acting and impersonation. As a rule, they never
miss an opportunity for travel, to have new experiences, or to embark
on some new adventure. They are very open and honest, and their too
candid remarks can be misinterpreted as rudeness. They are apt to
resemble their father in looks and personality. He is the parent apt
to have the greatest influence on them.
JUPITER trine SATURN
Jupiter trine Saturn implies luck, but it is a generational aspect.
While many of those born with this fortunate planetary influence are
successful, their personal success will have to be supported by other
factors in their personalities and backgrounds. Conditions in society
are favorable for them, enabling most of them to be at least moderately
successful, while many others without this aspect, for example, may
be unemployed, or unsuitable in some way for the demands of the current
conditions.
JUPITER square PLUTO
Jupiter square Pluto implies a generation that succeeds through sheer
force of will power. Societal situations which confront these individuals
involve issues of power and control and, as a result, they are forced
to analyze and understand human psychological motivations and behavioral
patterns. How much of this spills into their private affairs is a
matter of other factors in their personalities and backgrounds.
HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary
income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates
the values and priorities you establish throughout life.
TAURUS on 2nd HOUSE
Taurus ruling the second house indicates individuals who may be addicted
to the personal pleasures and material advantages that wealth can
supply. To attain these things, they take full advantage of all the
charm and physical attractiveness they possess. To them, it may seem
an even trade. It also implies that beauty provides their income in
such fields as modeling, hairdressing and related services, cosmetic
manufacturers and salesmen, fashion and beauty consulting. Other possible
sources of income include law, art, music, jewelry or the world of
fashion and design. Though their second house Taurus influence suggests
they place great value on wealth and beauty, it indicates they probably
also value their relationships. Their sense of well-being and security
is greatly enhanced when they are surrounded with beautiful things,
attractive, peaceful environments, and people they like. Negative
potentials for Taurus on the second house include individuals who
are unable to derive personal enjoyment from anything or anyone. Their
self-denial can lead to miserliness, selfishness, or a waste of resources.
HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation,
self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity
and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It
indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within
your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also
describes the job or health of your father.
GEMINI on 3rd HOUSE
Gemini ruling the third house indicates individuals who are concerned
with communication, languages, or transportation. Responding to the
Gemini influence many of them are writers, teachers, publishers, salespersons,
or those heavily involved in community projects and associations,
or who work in the transportation or travel business. Other mental
occupations, such as design and engineering are also indicated as
possibilities. There is apt to be a lot of visiting and communication
with siblings. The negative possibilities include speech impediments,
hearing loss, or learning disabilities. It also implies accident proneness,
tendency to experience mechanical difficulties, or lack of facility
with mechanical devices. They always know what's going on, especially
in their immediate environments. In some individuals with nothing
better to occupy their time, there is more involvement in idle gossip
than in genuine community business. The influence of Gemini on the
third house means they are likely to possess a high degree of instinctual
understanding. Not ESP exactly but what may seem like ESP.
HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and
family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning
as well as the end of various cycles in your life.
GEMINI on 4th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the fourth house indicates those who may prefer to work
at home or pursue many hobbies at home. They are apt to have extensive
libraries or collections of magazines and other factual material.
If they happen to be more mechanically inclined than intellectually
oriented, home becomes a base for tinkering with all kinds of mechanical
devices, the most popular of which are automobiles. Gemini's influence
on the fourth house indicates the possibility that as adults they
may live with siblings or in the same neighborhood as siblings. They
allow their homes to be used for community meetings or other neighborhood
projects. The negative possibilities imply the opposite influence,
and these individuals have arguments or separation from siblings and
estrangements or disagreements with neighbors. Gemini on the fourth
house implies restless domestic natures. These individuals may have
frequent changes of residence, constantly alter or redecorate their
homes, or own more than one home at a time.
PLUTO in 4th HOUSE
Pluto in the fourth house indicates those who may experience trauma
in childhood, most likely as the result of the death of someone in
the family, or because of their physical or mental abuse by a family
member. Whatever may have actually happened, or how they may have
felt about it, childhood experiences ultimately leave them with a
sense that they have no control over things. They have difficulty
as adults in relinquishing any control over themselves or their home.
Some of them may never seek to own a home of their own. They may be
reluctant to marry, or find it difficult to stay married to a spouse
who insists on dominating their domestic environment. Pluto in the
fourth house also implies individuals who may not experience the full
potential of their power and energy until later in life. There are
definite periods (especially after the age of thirty) when they may
have to start over again in some new enterprise or life style. Though
they may or may not attempt to escape their childhood home or its
circumstances, they find themselves returning to it again and again.
By choice or circumstance there may be secrecy connected to aspects
of their home or family background.
HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers,
capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children,
and speculative ventures.
CANCER on 5th HOUSE
Cancer ruling the fifth house indicates strong emotional identification
with animals and children. It implies sensitive, romantic individuals
who may be quite fertile, either literally or figuratively or both.
They may have a tendency to be lax disciplinarians when it comes to
dealing with children or pets, but they more than make up for it with
their affectionate concern and patience. There is nothing to suggest
with certainty they will possess creative talent, but they are sure
to have great fondness for the arts or entertainment industries. Unless
other factors in their backgrounds interfere, they attract a multitude
of friends and acquaintances. They may experience difficulty in gaining
emotional maturity in some areas, and are apt to have appetites that
are hard to control. There is danger that they will waste their talents
if they do not develop a high level of self discipline. Though it
doesn't mean they don't enjoy traveling or getting out of the house
for social activities, for the most part, they are likely to derive
their greatest enjoyment from doing things at home or with family
members.
HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and
unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your
health, and physical fitness.
LEO on 6th HOUSE
Leo ruling the sixth house indicates individuals whose egos are expressed
in their work. Whatever occupies them on a daily basis; their job
or duties, people they work with, and those for whom they are responsible,
whether family or employees or even pets, are matters of great (possibly
overblown) concern to them. They take personal pride in routine affairs.
If there is no opportunity to take obvious pride in this area they
may either fail to make progress, or become guilty of overplaying
or fantasizing what is in reality dull and routine. Many conduct themselves,
no matter what they do, with such dedication, pride and preciseness
in handling even the most routine business, that they inspire the
open admiration of others who are less organized or motivated. They
are apt to become the most competent and also the most flamboyant
employees. They may work long and hard but they do have limits, and
sooner or later will demand tangible recognition for their efforts.
Health and fitness may be important issues.
NEPTUNE in 6th HOUSE
Neptune in the sixth house indicates individuals who work in an isolated
environment, or those whose job is related to secrecy, deception,
or fraud. They may become involved with co-workers in secret activities.
There is potential for them to develop idealistic or unrealistic notions
concerning their job. Other people may not be quite sure what these
individuals do for a living; but then, they may not be so sure themselves
since there is also potential for confusion related to job assignments,
and failure to get recognition for the work they do. Neptune's influence
suggests that they are apt to find employment in the navy or maritime
industries, religion, photography, chemistry, psychology, medicine
(especially homeopathy or cosmetic surgery). Their job may be in areas
that specifically involve the feet, which could mean anything from
selling shoes to being a dancer or a podiatrist. They may also work
with the handicapped, minorities, and people in prison or confined
for other reasons. Neptune's influence extends to their health and
physical fitness. The self-discipline of exercise and other methods
needed to stay in shape is very difficult for them to develop. Though
it is possible to become fanatic about physical fitness, their approach
is more likely to be metaphysical than physical. They are vulnerable
to hypochondria or illnesses that are difficult to diagnose or treat.
Caution must always be taken with drugs since they are apt to be sensitive
to medicine as well as anesthetics.
MOON in 6th HOUSE
Moon in the sixth house indicates vulnerability to a continuing variety
of medical complaints, especially stomach or digestive disorders.
The ailments of these individuals are usually not major threats but
can disrupt their work and routine schedules. They are apt to operate
a business from their home, or seek jobs related to homes, food, family
life, women, or children. They develop mothering instincts and other
strong emotional identification toward those who work for or with
them. They may work better with women than with men. Work habits may
be inconsistent as is their ability to stay in jobs. Their general
health and psychological outlook are strongly affected by their work,
and when the work environment or responsibilities are upsetting for
some reason, inefficiency and absences are the result.
MOON opposite MERCURY
Moon opposite Mercury indicates those who often find themselves in
situations where their knowledge or skills are inadequate. Their first
inclinations are to scramble to keep up, stall, or even misrepresent
facts until they can find out what they need to know. They may be
very organized but are always losing papers or missing details. Maturity
and other factors in their personalities can reduce the worst influence
of this aspect, especially since it does not imply lack of intelligence,
which in many of these individuals is apt to be high. Nervous energy
keeps them on the go, and their health can suffer from lack of proper
rest.
MOON opposite VENUS
Moon opposite Venus implies those who tend to be disappointed in relationships.
Though not necessarily antisocial, they may by choice or circumstances,
lead a solitary existence. Direct negotiations break down and strategy
often goes awry. Dealing with things is easier for them than dealing
with people. Negative factors in their personalities mean rudeness
or careless disregard for the rights of others. Positive influences
in their personalities and backgrounds can soften or mitigate the
negative traits implied.
HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures
of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others
tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters,
negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as
well as adversarial.
VIRGO on 7th HOUSE
Virgo ruling the seventh house indicates those with concern and a
critical (perhaps overcritical) attitude toward partnerships, contracts,
public relations in general, and the law. They may end up in partnerships
or alliances of one sort or another with siblings, or aunts and uncles
on the mother's side of the family. They may have several partnerships
at the same time concerning different enterprises. There is also the
potential for more than one marriage. The tendency to be too critical
or idealistic toward their marriage partners can put a strain on these
relationships, or mean they never marry at all since no one will ever
be perfect enough to suit them. They can be very talkative and go
out of their way to have a conversation with practically everyone
they meet, often giving advice as well as patiently listening to the
problems of complete strangers. Many of these individuals have excellent
memories for names, faces, and facts about other people.
HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the
income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes
your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and use material
assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house
also indicates sexual attitudes and behavior.
SCORPIO on 8th HOUSE
Scorpio ruling the eighth house indicates individuals with the potential
for possessing formidable strength and endurance. Unless there are
severe afflictions in their individual personalities or backgrounds,
their vitality is remarkably strong. Scorpio's influence indicates
the presence of a dark side to their natures, one that may cause them
to develop crushing cynicism and despair. It is entirely possible
that they will overcome this by concentrating their energies more
positively on such things as spiritual matters or investigating the
mysteries of nature and the universe. There is implication of exceedingly
strong sexual appetites which may play a major role in their lives,
and here again, they may successfully sublimate the energy of sexual
passion into other activities. But whatever their individual attitude
or sexual practices might be, indifference to it is almost impossible.
Scorpio ruling the eighth house indicates ability to develop powerful
inner resources. Many of these individuals have first-rate talent
for investigation and research. Whether by choice or circumstance
there will be elements of secrecy or mystery connected with their
sexual activities, personal resources, and research or investigative
activities.
HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing,
publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies,
religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits.
It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To
a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health
of your mother.
SAGITTARIUS on 9th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the ninth house indicates individuals with intellectual
curiosity, heightened spirituality, and great appreciation for higher
education and knowledge in general. However, the influence of Sagittarius
on the ninth house is no guarantee these individuals will be motivated
to pursue activities in these areas. If there are negative factors
in their personality or background it can mean mental laziness, lack
of means to pursue higher education, or those who achieve it only
with great difficulty. It can also mean those who are vulnerable to
overblown or over zealous ideas and theories, and fanaticism. Even
if circumstances never present an opportunity to travel or pursue
higher education, they are still apt to be avid readers of newspapers
and magazines, and informed concerning political and social issues.
The Sagittarian influence implies a multitude of interests and involvement
in such things as law, politics, foreign travel or trade, theater,
art, dancing, sports, and games of chance or games with intellectual
challenge.
SATURN in 9th HOUSE
Ninth house Saturn indicates those who succeed in life by reaching
beyond their immediate environment for new experiences and understanding.
These individuals are, however, apt to be forced by choice or circumstance
to be extremely practical about how they do it. Advanced training
and higher education, for example, are not undertaken as a mere whim
or luxury, or they may have to wait until later in life to accomplish
them. Sooner or later they understand the importance of taking a serious
approach to such matters when they come to rely heavily on whatever
knowledge and skills they have attained. Living in a foreign country
or dealing with those of another race or culture is apt to present
some difficult or burdensome situation for them. Religion can impose
severe limitations rather than spiritual freedom. These individuals
may have significant responsibilities where the job or health of a
parent is concerned. Circumstances related to in-laws or a second
marriage may be long-lasting and stable, though the negative potential
suggests added responsibilities are also likely. Patience and persistence
when confronted with problems in any of the areas just described,
are the keys to overcoming them.
HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals,
public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates
to your father and his influence in your life.
SAGITTARIUS on 10th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the tenth house indicates the likelihood of those
who consciously or subconsciously seek a public forum for exhibiting
their intellectual skills, artistic talent, or specialized training.
They are apt to feel strongly that what they know must be transmitted
to others, which in turn makes many of them pursue careers as teachers,
writers, lecturers, salespersons, actors, politicians or clerics.
They may not necessarily seek the spotlight themselves but may work
on projects that receive public recognition, or become promoters,
agents, or fund raisers. Whatever they do, they want to work with
the public in some capacity. They are also apt to gain publicity for
something they have done or been associated with outside of their
regular work or profession. The negative potential can mean difficulty
with, or loss of the father. It also implies problems with superiors
or in attaining promotions or other personal goals. These individuals
may be put in situations for which they are not adequately prepared
or for which they lack necessary skills.
HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong,
and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages
earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of
others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business
associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations
and capacity for happiness.
CAPRICORN on 11th HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the eleventh house indicates the likelihood of heavy
responsibilities associated with friends. Capricorn does not imply
lack of friends but they are apt to be few in number. These individuals
will also tend to establish more friendships later in life, or with
people older than themselves. There is also implication that friendships
will be solid, enduring relationships. They may harbor the feeling
that they are friendless no matter how many people regard them with
great affection. Capricorn's influence can mean aversion to joining
organizations. However, those who do join a group may be handed or
voluntarily assume responsibilities within the organization. Income
from self-employment or through a career (as opposed to a job) may
either be considerably delayed or have some burden or responsibility
attached to it. Their fathers are apt to have little wealth, and if
he does, they have difficulty gaining access to it. Real happiness
may be difficult to achieve. Either they feel guilty about being happy,
or are truly discontent no matter what they achieve or how many material
advantages they gain.
HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your
subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or
work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow,
disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry.
It also has connection with the job or health of your marriage or
business partner.
AQUARIUS on 12th HOUSE
Aquarius ruling the twelfth house indicates those with unconscious
resentment of authority or convention. Their sleep is likely to be
erratic or constantly disrupted, or they tend to sleep at odd times
rather than during conventional hours. A physical or psychological
disorder may cause insomnia, their work may demand unusual hours,
or the work or health of their marriage partners may alter their sleep
schedule. Since they tend to be restless or erratic sleepers, it is
better to be completely exhausted before they go to bed. The same
notion is true concerning their ability to obtain or sustain inner
calmness, making it difficult for them to gain relaxation needed for
good mental and physical health. Some circumstance is apt to occur
that forces them to learn to properly relax. Unexpected changes may
occur in their partner's work. Their spouses may introduce them to
unconventional ideas and practices regarding health and physical fitness.
For one reason or another, they may be involved in secret societies
or secret activities of a friend, or they may have to entrust their
own secrets or secret activities to a friend.
MARS in 12th HOUSE
Mars in the twelfth house indicates those whose job or profession
may not be connected with what they really want to do. It is also
an indication of working in places of confinement such as hospitals
or prisons, or charitable organizations. The influence of Mars in
the twelfth house also suggests that the activities of these individuals
may go unnoticed. In some cases, they may deliberately attempt to
be secretive, while in other cases, their movements go undetected.
The twelfth house position of Mars indicates activities that involve
the occult, dreams, or the unconscious mind. The negative potential
includes the possibility of the loss of a partner, being cheated or
deceived by a partner, and unrealistic ambitions and undertakings.
The real energy and depth of passion in these individuals may be of
a kind not readily apparent to others.
MARS opposite NEPTUNE
Mars opposite Neptune indicates those who somehow always find themselves
working in the dark, either literally or figuratively. They may simply
enjoy creating an aura of mystery around themselves, or may actually
act in secrecy, either legally or illegally. They may be confused,
never quite knowing if their efforts have any effect or what that
effect might be. There is potential for being either a victim or a
victimizer.
MERCURY in 12th HOUSE
Mercury in the twelfth house indicates those who tend to keep many
of their ideas and thoughts to themselves. It also implies they are
able to think better when they are alone or in quiet environments.
They are apt to be interested in studying dreams, the subconscious,
and ESP. Their thinking may not be in the least bit faulty but it
is often likely to be based as much on instinct or intuition as it
is on logic or reasoning. Sometimes this type of thinking works, and
sometimes they need to get a clearer sense of reality. If there are
negative factors in their personality or background, it can mean depression
and becoming a prisoner of their own mind. Mercury's positive potential
includes a photographic memory, fabulous imagination, remarkable investigative
skills, and the ability to become a master of disguise. Their work
may involve something normally hidden or out of sight to others. It
may also involve writing, computers, and communications, especially
in areas related to hospitals, prisons, or charitable institutions.
Mercury's influence in the twelfth house also includes secret activities
or dealing with secret communications, ciphers or other forms of code.
MERCURY conjunct VENUS
There is no certain indication of the depth of intellect in individuals
with Mercury conjunct Venus but they are sure to have humor and charm.
They are good talkers and are apt to possess remarkable communicative
or artistic talents. Their pleasure in learning can mean research
and serious scholarship in some of them and fondness for gossip in
others.
MERCURY square SATURN
There is no lack of intelligence in those with Mercury square Saturn,
but there may be some restriction or inhibition concerning self expression.
They may cling to outmoded principles or be too dictatorial in communicating
thoughts and ideas. They may suffer from lack of imagination or the
means to express it. Mechanical skills can desert them at times, and
care should be taken when operating machinery.
MERCURY trine PLUTO
The usual implication of Mercury trine Pluto is a sharp focus on intellectual
and communicative abilities. Whether these individuals have outgoing
personalities or prefer remaining quietly in the background, they
tend to owe the success of many of their endeavors to the ability
to observe and analyze human attitudes and behavior. They believe
knowledge is power and, for them, it is apt to be true.
VENUS in 12th HOUSE
Venus in the twelfth house indicates those who enjoy being with other
people but may nevertheless be very shy in social environments. Their
shyness may develop into serious lack of confidence, and as a result,
they fall in love with anyone who pays them the slightest attention.
Romantic experiences can trap them in other ways. They can become
victims of a relationship with those who threaten "suicide or worse"
should the affair be broken off. These individuals may themselves
be guilty of using this destructive ploy in order to hold on to partners
who threaten to abandon them. The positive influence of Venus includes
potential for remarkable artistic talent, and uncanny intuition about
people as well as relationships. Venus implies those who are wise,
compassionate judges or counselors, creative writers, or gifted poets.
They are almost certain to experience secret romance. Their lovers
or potential marriage partners may be dancers, reside near the ocean,
have disabilities or belong to a minority race or culture.
VENUS square SATURN
Venus square Saturn by no means indicates lack of generosity in these
individuals, though others may not be generous toward them. Financial
debts seem to occur easily and frequently, either through their own
extravagance, inability to manage income, or as a result of being
responsible for debts incurred by others. Social efforts may be fraught
with obstacles but in the end, those who persevere get what they want.
VENUS trine PLUTO
Venus trine Pluto implies those with a strong sexual drive that may
cause problems in youth but can bring wisdom and control when they
are mature enough to handle it. Pleasures they have may be many or
few, but their enjoyment is intense. Deep relationships they establish
also become valuable psychological resources. They may effortlessly
attract those in power and attain high ranking social positions themselves.
