PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned
with your individual traits.
The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon),
learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and
sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical
energy (Mars).
The second section describes how well you deal internally with the
external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for
happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations
(Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative
ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status
quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals,
morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with
or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government
and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and
distribution of natural resources (Pluto).
SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential
and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about.
It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take,
and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is
your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect
and authority, to impress and influence others.
SUN in PISCES
As the twelfth sign of the zodiac, Pisces represents the twelfth and
final stage in the evolution of man and his place in the universe.
Here, the desire is to use all that has been learned and assimilated
in order to gain perfection; of man as an individual and humanity
as a whole. This perfection leads man to his rightful place in the
universe. Though not all Pisceans occupy their time with such lofty
aspirations as attaining their rightful place in the universe, the
notion of perfection is a strong factor in their personality. They
find it difficult to deal with people and situations that do not live
up to their idealized images. It isn't that they can't see things
clearly, they just don't want to accept things as they really are.
Seeking greater perfection than the real world is capable of producing,
they often turn to religion or other spiritual and philosophical disciplines.
Pisceans readily adapt to change. This trait is a strength because
it is a survival mechanism, and a weakness because it makes them vulnerable
to the demands and influence of other people. In spite of their sensitive
personality and delicate physical constitutions, most Pisceans are
survivors. Their adaptability allows them to outlast those who may
be much stronger. Because they so readily identify with the feelings
of others, and willingly adapt themselves to different people and
changing circumstances, they risk the exploitation or loss of their
own needs, ideas, and talent. The opposite side of the coin is that
adaptability also allows Pisceans to gain personal power over those
they understand so well and turn it to their own advantage. The fish
is the astrological symbol for Pisces. The fish is pictured as a double
figure seen to swim in either direction. This represents the ultimate
Piscean choice; either to be strong and overcome weakness inherent
in their sensitive nature, or to become the victim of this acute vulnerability.
Pisceans react emotionally to everything they experience in life.
Before they take physical action, before they sort out the practicality
of what they are doing, and before they reason things out intellectually,
they give in to their feelings. Compassionate and fair-minded, they
are not at all afraid to bend unbreakable rules if the situation demands
a more humane approach. They make excellent judges, sensitive administrators,
and inspirational teachers. Their surplus of emotions implies an addictive
nature, and thus it is necessary to avoid habit-forming drugs and
other substances. To maintain their emotional equilibrium, they need
a private spot or at least a private time for daily retreat and relaxation.
The most creatively stimulating and soothing environment for Pisceans
is near water, preferably the ocean.
The modern ruler of Pisces is Neptune, planet of the spiritual and
sensitive qualities in man. Ancient astrologers assigned Pisces Jupiter,
a planet also associated with spirituality as well as thirst for knowledge
and understanding. These planets represent similar traits and both
of them influence Piscean personalities. They are idealistic, sensitive,
and love to play martyr. They are often shy and would much rather
impersonate someone else than be themselves. That's why so many are
actors, artists, writers, and dreamers. Their association with elusive
Neptune makes it hard to predict how Pisceans will develop. Some of
them are neat and well organized, while others become slovenly and
careless. Personal habits are often a direct reflection of emotional
reactions to their environment. Their imaginations are limitless,
an ability that makes them successful writers of fiction or turns
them into pathological liars. Unique ability to understand the abstract
can make them gifted mathematicians and theorists, or it can put them
so out of touch with reality that they make no sense at all.
As if to directly confront their own vulnerability, many Pisceans
are daredevils and risk-takers, becoming race car drivers, aviators,
explorers, and hunters. Their emotional nature can make them compulsive
eaters who face a lifelong battle of the bulge. Sports and physical
fitness routines are a good way for them to keep in shape as well
as reduce their emotional stress. Horseback riding, dancing, skating,
swimming or sailing are favored activities.
Piscean colors are pale green, purple, rose, and gray-blue. Vulnerable
parts of the body are the feet and lymphatic system. Swelling, allergic
reaction to drugs, and sore feet are common complaints, but their
emotional nature can also make them vulnerable to psychosomatic illness.
The Piscean birthstone is the aquamarine. The sea-colored aquamarine
becomes invisible when submerged in water. This is an appropriate
representation of the shy Pisceans who often wish they could disappear
as easily. Flowers for Pisces are the orchid, lilac, wisteria, water
lily (lotus), poppy (white), and pansy.
MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency
or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle
relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences.
It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional,
and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment.
It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important
females in your life.
MOON in ARIES
Those born with the moon in a Fire sign want to turn their feelings
into physical experiences. They do not initially view their desires
from the standpoint of practicality, emotional commitment, or as a
lesson to be learned. Before anything else there has to be action,
some form of instant physical gratification. As lunar Fire sign personalities,
those with moon in Aries go after what they want (or think they want)
with passion and energy. They can soon lose interest in relationships
with people who don't demonstrate the same passionate enthusiasm.
Their adventurous spirit makes it difficult for them to settle down
and accept the responsibilities and drudgery of daily routine. On
a short-term basis they can become passionately involved with people
and projects, but long-term commitments can make them feel trapped.
Restless and impatient, they have quick, sometimes volatile, tempers.
Fortunately, as quick as they are to get angry, they are just as quick
to forget the incident that prompted it.
Aries moon personalities are dedicated to getting their own way, finding
one means or another to accomplish their goals. They are meant to
be the master of their own success or failure in life. Some of them
relish this challenge, while others are all too willing to blame their
mistakes on everyone else. Their easily aroused emotions can be dangerously
misguided, especially when they act with undue haste, aggressiveness,
or anger. Their dynamic self-assertiveness can make them resentful
of all authority but their own, and aggressiveness can make it difficult
for them to take direction or advice from others. They can become
self-indulgent, overconfident and just plain foolhardy, or, they can
turn into inspired leaders, and become tireless in their efforts to
accomplish things in which they passionately believe. The spirit of
their generosity can sometimes be overshadowed by careless disregard
for the feelings of others.
Women with Aries moon can often be unflatteringly aggressive in romance
and other situations that require a subtle approach. However, they
are emotionally well-suited to meet and conquer many challenges that
would destroy less hardy types. Men with Aries moon may expect too
much and give too little in romance, but they are emotionally equipped
with an enterprising spirit, and what is often a uniquely clever and
original approach.
MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way
you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information.
It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical
skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get
where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all
possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?
MERCURY in AQUARIUS
Those with natal Mercury in Aquarius have a curious, but usually compatible,
mixture of characteristics associated with their thoughts and ideas
and the expression of those ideas. These individuals are stimulated
by unusual or unorthodox methods and ideas, which they are often successful
at fitting into traditional systems. They have respect for tradition,
but are also able to express traditional ideas in an avant-garde or
unorthodox manner. They can be very stubborn and opinionated, while
at the same time maintain liberal, unbiased attitudes. They are inclined
toward design, architecture, science, finance, and, in some cases,
music or literature. In the matter of learning and transportation,
they can be unpredictable and, at times, highly original and unique.
Whatever they do, they always seem to wittingly or unwittingly attract
a crowd.
VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic
tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions
at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance,
marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit
of pleasure.
VENUS in PISCES
The social attitudes and behavior of these individuals is profoundly
influenced by their emotional state. Though the Piscean influence
implies a certain level of shyness, this is not always the case. These
individuals love to have other people around, and enjoy being part
of the interaction that accompanies many activities and dramatic involvements.
However, they are severely hurt if a relationship does not go well,
and as a result, they may be very reluctant when it comes to making
new associations. Their compassionate nature makes it difficult for
them to be harshly judgmental and discriminating in choosing companions.
This is unfortunate since they seem to effortlessly attract people
who take advantage of them. They may possess uncanny instincts regarding
people in other ways however. They may have remarkable skill, for
example, when it comes to putting together the right people in the
right situations.
MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength
and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your
emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills.
It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations,
and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.
MARS in PISCES
The energy of those with Mars in Pisces is highly influenced by their
emotional state and, too often, at the mercy of the environment in
which they operate. They can easily be inspired as well as inspiring,
and many possess outstanding creative and artistic talent. Their instinctive
reactions are keen, as is their power of turning abstract concepts
into reality. The problem they invariably face is that they find it
difficult to accomplish things either because they are too lazy, or
lack the necessary confidence to act. As a result, they can waste
their talents and skills for want of a good push to get started. Many
develop an inner strength that is remarkable. As if to confront potential
physical weakness, they engage in high-risk activities.
JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels;
physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation
of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism
and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.
JUPITER in CAPRICORN
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Capricorn can be overly concerned
with how things are done rather than what is done. Lack of inspirational
factors in their development and background forces many of them to
gain understanding and wisdom through their own experiences and maturity.
Growth and expansion in life is rarely a matter of haphazard luck
or whimsy. Through fortune or circumstances they are forced to keep
track of where they have been, where they are at present, and where
they want to go.
SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are
apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does
not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good
fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and
meaning.
SATURN in VIRGO
Individuals with natal Saturn in Virgo are confronted with restrictions
or limitations that involve matters of practicality or perfectionism.
Too much pragmatism leaves no room for imagination or spiritual growth.
Lack of practicality denies the solid base they need for progress
and stability. Blind pursuit of perfectionism denies the reality of
life, and they accomplish nothing. Lack of idealism ends in mediocrity.
URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality
of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people
as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures.
Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking
about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people
with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence
of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications
of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the
aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes
areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be
different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique.
Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as
is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers,
and the media.
URANUS in GEMINI
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Gemini want
freedom of speech and communication. Research and development of innovative
technology and methods of communication are eagerly undertaken. All
new ideas get attention, and freedom of information is emphasized.
NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of
society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are
glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism,
and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years,
taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs.
Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign
and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign
is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's
house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your
natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion,
disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't
always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and
describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment,
and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.
NEPTUNE in LIBRA
During the most recent period of Neptune in Libra in 1942-1957 the
establishment of the United Nations was typical of the Libran effort
to establish peace. Neptune's influence is also evident since the
U. N. has had minimal effect in accomplishing its goals. Equality
(Libra) for minorities (Neptune) may get attention but real solutions
may prove illusive.
PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all
twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve
years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like
atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction
of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence
in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your
personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house
position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope.
Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously
or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also
linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes
the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.
PLUTO in LEO
Pluto's last period in Leo was 1938-1957. Leo rules the king or representative
government. During Pluto's transit of Leo in the late 1600's and early
1700's, John Locke, philosopher of the English Revolution and American
Revolution, wrote his famous essays stating that governments existed
by virtue of voluntary agreements and their function was to protect
the rights of individuals.
PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope.
The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily
basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances
you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality
and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.
HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is
also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality
and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health
and the type of illnesses you may experience.
GEMINI ASCENDANT
A Gemini Ascendant indicates individuals with adaptable personalities
and, in many cases, wiry, flexible physiques as well. Their chameleon-like
adaptability to changing circumstances and different people is often
so pronounced that their personalities and even physical appearances
can seem startlingly diverse to different people, and from one time
to another. They say what they instinctively know others want to hear.
Their adaptability can extend to conscious or subconscious imitations
of personality traits or the physical appearance of those they admire.
Gemini implies intellectual orientation. To others they may appear
interested, but somehow emotionally detached. Physical contacts and
mannerisms are quick and restless, and sometimes their rapid movements
make it seem as though their minds and bodies are not connected. They
can do several things at once while at the same time, appear not to
be paying particular attention to any of them. Marriage can be difficult.
For example, they can be too ready and able to entertain themselves,
or the need of one partner for more personal freedom can undermine
the relationship. Their marriage partners may require more passion
and personal attention and less independence and intellectual analysis.
Gemini is ruled by Mercury, planet of communication, which means they
are likely to be extremely talkative. Even those with quieter natures
are apt to have a great deal of intellectual curiosity. They absorb
a variety of information that they are quite happy to share with anyone
willing to listen. They can give the impression of mental alertness
and understanding, even though they may not be paying attention or
actually know anything about the subject at hand. How deep their real
intelligence goes is not determined solely by the Gemini Ascendant.
Possessing a wide spectrum of orientations and abilities, many of
them are excellent teachers, writers, scholars and researchers, as
well as those who engage in the flimflam of con artists and the intellectual
emptiness of imitators.
Manually dexterous, many of them are not just clever with their hands
but have significant artistic and design skills. Their lungs and hands
are physically vulnerable areas, and respiratory illnesses and injuries
to the hands and fingers are apt to be common occurrences.
HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary
income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates
the values and priorities you establish throughout life.
CANCER on 2nd HOUSE
Cancer ruling the second house indicates individuals who tend to equate
money or personal assets with emotional security. They are apt to
exhibit this Cancerian influence in one of two classic behavior patterns.
Either they find it difficult to hang on to resources because they
spend money when emotionally upset, or they are very conservative,
even miserly about spending assets because without these assets they
feel vulnerable and insecure. The more common tendency for these individuals
is to engage in impulse buying or acquire property of one sort or
another as a way of seeking emotional consolation. There is also strong
potential they will consciously or subconsciously attempt to use money
or status to buy the affections of others, or in turn allow their
own affections to be bartered in the same way. They can demonstrate
great flexibility when it comes to priorities. What they deem important
today may not be so important tomorrow. There is possibility of family
inheritance or income from a family trust, just as there is also the
possibility of having to take financial responsibility for family
members.
HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation,
self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity
and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It
indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within
your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also
describes the job or health of your father.
LEO on 3rd HOUSE
Leo ruling the third house indicates individuals who are likely to
assert themselves and their ideas through all kinds of communication
networks they set up, and by being (or trying to be) everywhere at
once. Their need for self-expression goes beyond mere desire. Thoughts
and ideas are the direct expression of their egos. In turn this implies
they need to find ways to express themselves as a means of preserving
their egos. They want to develop their ideas, but it doesn't necessarily
mean they will seek a formal education. Nor does the desire to assert
their ideas signify they will seek public recognition. They may be
content, for example, with a simple thing like keeping a diary. If
they have talent their egos find adequate expression in artistic endeavors.
There is likely to be much interaction with others in their immediate
vicinity such as family members or neighbors. Their facility and need
for communication may turn them into constant travelers, letter writers,
and telephone users. They enjoy dealing with information and ideas.
PLUTO in 3rd HOUSE
Pluto in the third house indicates those who develop singular powers
of concentration, and are often very intense in the way they express
their thoughts and ideas. As very keen observers, they miss very little
of what goes on around them. Ability to concentrate their attention
does not guarantee that they will apply it to scholarly pursuits,
or that they have any real understanding of what they observe. It
implies that they can present incredibly detailed descriptions of
their observations. They consciously or subconsciously regard information
as being useful in terms of the power it gives them over others. The
old saying "mind over matter" is particularly true for these individuals.
Though they may not choose to develop it, they possess remarkable
mental ability to persuade themselves (as well as others) that something
is true, whether it is or not. They enjoy secrets, mysteries, and
intrigue. By choice or circumstance there may be some secrecy related
to their communications, travel, siblings, and neighbors, or to their
primary school experiences and/or their father's work or health.
HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and
family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning
as well as the end of various cycles in your life.
LEO on 4th HOUSE
Leo ruling the fourth house indicates individuals whose willpower
and drive is irrevocably influenced by family background. This does
not have to be a problem if they are inspired by a healthy well-adjusted
family life. Even if they are very independent or the most dedicated
world travelers, invariably they seem to end up back home. They are
sure to have an ego involvement with the physical aspects of their
home; its location, design and decoration. Their most creative urges
arise when it comes to situations and projects involving home or when
they are in that environment. Their egos may also prompt them to search
diligently for evidence of notable persons in their family tree, and
if such types are indeed present, they will be quite eager to let
others know about their prestigious family connection. Many of these
individuals rise to positions of honor as a result of the help or
connections they receive from their family. However, it does not deny
their meriting such assistance. The influence of Leo suggests they
may be involved in the buying or selling of homes and real estate
or in managing such properties.
SATURN in 4th HOUSE
Saturn in the fourth house can mean those who are deprived of a parent
early in life. It also suggests austerity and strictness that may
apply to the personality of one or both parents, to the emotional
content of their home, or to physical aspects of their surroundings.
Whatever their actual childhood circumstance or family history may
be, these individuals harbor great concerns about it. As adults they
may be strict and inflexible in their own domestic environment, or
be so negative as to dismiss any notion of establishing a home or
family. Saturn's positive influence includes those who enjoy very
stable family relationships. It also indicates those who live their
entire life in the same house or hometown. The negative potential
includes those who are homebound, unable through illness or disease
to leave their residence. How these individuals learn to handle any
hardships related to home and family is an important key to their
happiness and success.
HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers,
capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children,
and speculative ventures.
VIRGO on 5th HOUSE
Virgo ruling the fifth house indicates individuals who seek to identify
their creative potential with intellectual skill. In other words,
they want the products of their imaginations or artistic skills to
be entertaining or beautiful, but also convey some special meaning
or moral principle. A fifth house Virgo influence suggests the possibility
of special communicative skills such as creative writing or the ability
to flawlessly impersonate others. Though not above taking a chance
on one throw of the dice, these individuals are more apt to enjoy
learning the real mechanics of gambling or trading stock and commodities.
They are invariably just as romantically attracted to those with intellectual
ability as they are to those who are physically beautiful. The possible
flaw may be their tendency to be too critical of romantic partners.
These individuals may also have a tendency to be too critical of their
children, especially of their intellectual accomplishments. However,
they usually enjoy helping youngsters with their studies and inspiring
them to broaden their intellectual horizons.
NEPTUNE in 5th HOUSE
Neptune in the fifth house indicates those who experience certain
elements of illusion, confusion, or mystery connected with romance,
children, speculative ventures, social activities, the pursuit of
pleasure, and artistic or creative projects. These individuals may
find romance with dancers, artists or those involved with religion
or the occult. It also suggests that their children and/or lovers
have artistic talent, psychic ability, or that they are very spiritual.
Love is blind is an apt description for those with a fifth house Neptune.
The negative potential includes deception in romance, or a romantic
partner who is confined, disabled, or addicted to drugs. Other Neptune
potentials include those who adopt or care for a child who is not
their own. Their children may suffer from mental confusion, physical
disability, or adverse reaction to drugs. There is also implication
of the loss of a child or lover. These individuals may possess remarkable
intuition in speculative ventures. However, since deception and loss
are also possible, they should never take good fortune for granted
or risk anything they cannot afford to lose. Neptune's influence suggests
fondness for dance, theater, and art. When it comes to evaluating
their own talent in these areas, they may have to rely on the opinion
of others since their own judgment (whether it is positive or negative)
may be clouded or unrealistic. In the pursuit of pleasure, they may
become dangerously overindulgent. Vacations should be taken on or
near water, especially the ocean.
NEPTUNE sextile PLUTO
Neptune sextile Pluto is an aspect of extremely long duration. The
current sextile between these two planets has been affecting generations
for the last forty years. This long term Neptune aspect influences
on society represents constant opportunities to change the course
of existing structures and pave the way for new ones. Those who will
live under the influence of the other aspects (i. e. , conjunction,
square, trine, and opposition) as they occur between these planets
in the future will have to deal with the ideologies and other societal
institutions that we have had the opportunities to create.
HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and
unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your
health, and physical fitness.
SCORPIO on 6th HOUSE
Scorpio ruling the sixth house indicates those who need to control
their mundane environments. If they work at home they feel compelled
to manipulate the domestic environment. If there is too much chaos
at home, they may stay out of the house as much as possible. It is
not a good idea for others to visit them unannounced. Those who work
in an office or other environment outside the home, work better without
interference from co-workers. Many of these individuals prefer to
work for themselves, by themselves, or hold positions that give them
an element of personal control in handling certain aspects of their
assignments. Given a particular task or job, they are capable of completely
revising it, often with great success. As a rule, they prefer service-oriented
jobs such as teaching or counseling. They pay close attention to details
and many of them possess formidable research and investigative abilities.
When afflicted with physical illness, they are likely to demonstrate
astounding recuperative powers. Whether by circumstance or design
there is apt to be an element of mystery or secrecy associated with
their job or the status of their health.
HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures
of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others
tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters,
negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as
well as adversarial.
SAGITTARIUS on 7th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the seventh house indicates those whose marriage
or business partnerships require personal independence in order to
succeed. It may be their need, their partner's need, or something
they both require as a prerequisite for partnership. Relationships
that are bogged down with possessiveness or emotional dependency usually
fail. These individuals are apt to gain much personal growth through
marriage or business partnerships, since their partners help expand
their thinking and behavior in a number of areas. Other possibilities
include individuals who attract partners of Jupiterian proportions,
both physically as well as mentally; big thoughts, grand schemes and/or
huge physiques. Sagittarius ruling the seventh house implies partnerships
that are deliberately arranged to improve the wealth or status of
one of the partners. However, this maneuver may backfire when the
relationship eventually falls apart since that is also one of the
negative potentials.
HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the
income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes
your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and use material
assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house
also indicates sexual attitudes and behavior.
CAPRICORN on 8th HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the eighth house indicates those whose marriage or
business partners may have very few material resources to contribute.
It is also possible that their partners are unwilling to either enjoy
or share personal assets with them. This may also be the situation
with regard to anything these individuals inherit, that is, it may
be so small as to be negligible, or if it is a considerable estate,
it may turn out to bring more sorrow than joy to their lives. Capricorn's
influence can also be positive since it can engender responsible handling
of finances, which in turn, helps preserve and improve the status
of resources. If there are negative factors in their personalities
or backgrounds it can mean the possibility of inherited illnesses
or physical defects. These individuals may harbor aversions to insurance
matters and neglect them altogether, or worry excessively about being
adequately protected. They may fear death, and perhaps even more,
the tax collector. If not sufficiently in awe of the IRS, they should
be, since discrepancies in which they indulge in this area are sure
to be discovered.
JUPITER in 8th HOUSE
Jupiter in the eighth house indicates those who feel that a vital
part of their independence (and importance) as an individual depends
on making the most of their material and non-material resources. They
may be very interested in the stock market, handle investments for
others, or be involved with taxes, insurance, and estate planning.
Jupiter in the eighth house is also an implication of remarkable recuperative
powers. The potential involves more than recovery from physical illness,
it includes emotional upheavals, financial setbacks and other disappointments
or failures. Eighth house Jupiter refers to the possibility of a wealthy
marriage partner, but it also implies that their partner's income
may be derived through writing, publishing, politics, law, foreign
trade, or education. The negative potential is that the expansiveness
and optimism of Jupiter can mean wasted resources and the accumulation
of monumental debt.
HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing,
publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies,
religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits.
It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To
a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health
of your mother.
AQUARIUS on 9th HOUSE
Aquarius ruling the ninth house suggests that in the matter of higher
education or advanced training, these individuals may be better suited
to being self-taught. It isn't necessarily that they aren't willing
or able to pursue higher education, but there is potential they may
be too restless and independent to endure lectures and formal instructions.
Left to their own methods and motivations however, they may become
expert on subjects that interest them and develop impressive mechanical
or artistic skills with little or no formal instruction. There is
also implication with unpredictable Aquarius that they may experience
sudden or unexpected disruptions in their education or training, and
perhaps even be required to begin again at a later time. Religious
or philosophical views are apt to be unpredictable and unorthodox.
Even if they do not adopt totally radical views, their ideas are vulnerable
to sudden change and they may rebel against traditional ideas and
practices. They may also lean so far toward the traditional as to
become ultraconservative and fanatical. This same point can be made
about their ideas relating to art, music, or literature.
MERCURY in 9th HOUSE
Mercury in the ninth house indicates those likely to be involved with
higher education, philosophy, religion, art, or foreign cultures and
societies. It indicates travel to foreign countries as well as receiving
advanced education or training in a foreign country, and/or earning
advanced degrees in more than one subject. Many of these individuals
also seek to learn what they need or want to know on their own. The
negative potential of this Mercury house position includes lacking
the means with which to pursue advanced degrees, or lack of intellectual
ability or motivation to pursue higher education. Other possibilities
include those with poor memory, learning disabilities, non-communicative
nature, troubled relations with in-laws, or limited mechanical ability.
Mercury's positive influence suggests an excellent scholar, salesperson,
promoter, diplomat, stockbroker, court stenographer or reporter, spokesperson,
anthropologist, politician, linguist, critic, writer, or working in
some branch of the media.
MERCURY trine NEPTUNE
Mercury trine Neptune indicates individuals apt to have outstanding
intuitions, vivid imaginations, and keen intellects. However, they
must be careful not to take things for granted or their intellectual
and artistic gifts may be wasted, their spirituality become nothing
more than hollow tradition, and their psychic sensitivities never
realized or developed. Many of these individuals have the faith healer's
gift though they may not all choose to call it or use it by this name.
MERCURY opposite PLUTO
Sharing information is not always to the liking of those with Mercury
opposite Pluto unless they get something useful in return. There is
always a power situation or impediment that blocks the free flow of
information or knowledge they either give or receive. Some of these
individuals behave mysteriously or attempt to disguise their knowledge
or true motives. Consciously or subconsciously they seek to use knowledge
to gain control, rather than personal growth.
HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals,
public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates
to your father and his influence in your life.
AQUARIUS on 10th HOUSE
Those with Aquarius ruling the tenth house are apt to attract public
attention. Noteworthy activities that bring them attention are likely
to be connected with some impact they make on society, which could
include anything from criminal acts to outstanding humanitarian projects
they have sponsored. Another implication of Aquarius is that at some
point, usually after they have already embarked on certain careers
or lifestyles, they are apt to take an unexpected and completely different
turn. It may not necessarily be their choice to switch gears in mid-stream
but even if they do not initiate such radical changes, circumstances
may occur that will force a change in their directions and destinies.
The influence of Aquarius is also an implication that their career
choices or long range goals are related to some unusual or unorthodox
area. Other, more traditional areas that are possible include medicine,
social organizations, fund raising, international finance, communication
or computers. One of the parents, probably the father may be unorthodox
in some way, or they may experience a sudden or unexpected separation
from this parent.
VENUS in 10th HOUSE
Venus in the tenth house indicates those who tend to get noticed because
of their talent, looks, charming personality, or all three of these
assets. Unless factors in their background have resulted in the development
of shyness or other inhibitions, they derive a great deal of pleasure
from performing in public. They are excellent ad libers, impromptu
speechifiers and toastmasters. Negative potential includes those who
become an over dramatic, non-appeasable seeker of the spotlight who
selfishly uses relationships to further their own career or goals.
It can also mean difficult relationships with family and authority
figures. The positive influence of Venus suggests great popularity
and friends in prominent positions. The father may be especially handsome
or possess artistic talent.
VENUS opposite SATURN
Fear of rejection may be responsible for making those with Venus opposite
Saturn reluctant to engage in romantic encounters, or in some cases
even simple social encounters. Romance is not likely to be smooth
and their efforts may be plagued by some impediment or another. They
may find it hard to get recognition for their creative talents, or
they develop such talents later in life. Perseverance and maintaining
a sense of humor in every situation is how these individuals ultimately
succeed.
VENUS trine URANUS
Part of the reason those with Venus trine Uranus are apt to succeed
in life is because of their amiable personal approach in meeting people,
an approach that makes strangers feel they have known these individuals
all their lives. They are egalitarian and do not fear crossing or
defying social barriers. There are no hidden meanings in their actions
or conversation and no complicated strings attached to their social
relationships.
SUN in 10th HOUSE
Sun in the tenth house indicates those who possess a strong ego that
must find public expression. Very few of these individuals are likely
to be satisfied with staying home. Those who choose such a life-style
or are forced into it, are apt to be miserable. Even if their main
focus is home and family, sooner or later, they feel the need to accomplish
their personal goals through a career or other activities. The father
is emphasized, and these individuals feel his influence more than
most. Their accomplishments may be the direct result of his help,
or have been motivated by the lack of it. They may bear a strong physical
resemblance to the father. These individuals seek to attain public
positions. They are apt to work for themselves or occupy an elevated
position in the companies that employ them.
SUN conjunct MARS
These individuals are apt to have innately restless natures. This
restlessness may be apparent in their constant competitiveness, inability
to settle down, or tendency to practically kill themselves with overwork.
There is a good bit of self-absorption and, though they may not be
intentionally selfish, they can be careless about the feelings of
others. They are apt to get caught up in a certain amount of possessiveness,
jealousy, and quick anger, but these feelings may not last too long
and they are nearly always generous enough to forget the grievance
and quickly get on with other things.
SUN opposite SATURN
Sun opposite Saturn indicates the danger that many difficulties will
provoke these individuals to adopt the philosophy that the end justifies
the means. They may, for example, have an unhappy childhood, experiencing
either poor health or some deprivation in their home environments.
There is also the possibility that, as a result of difficult backgrounds,
they become incredibly strong and determined.
MARS in 10th HOUSE
Mars in the tenth house indicates those who like their activities
to be public. They are very ambitious, and are excellent promoters.
For the most part it may be themselves or their own efforts they promote,
but they can be just as enthusiastic about seeking public attention
for someone else or a cause in which they have great interest. Some
people may work as tirelessly as they do, but few will match the aggressiveness
and persuasive force of these individuals. Some people may be content
to work quietly behind the scenes but these individuals want their
efforts to be noticed. Strong qualities of leadership gives them the
ability to inspire others. They are apt to work better alone, and
many prefer to operate their own business rather than work for anyone
else. The lifestyle of these individuals is not apt to be very tranquil
or very ordinary. The influence of Mars in the tenth house suggests
difficulty attracting a marriage partner. The attention of these individuals
is so often focused on their career or other goals they don't have
time for any one else, or they may simply be so aggressive that a
potential marriage partner feels threatened. The negative potential
of this Mars position includes loss of the father or male authority
figure, a father who is domineering, and disagreements with superiors
and other authority figures.
HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong,
and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages
earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of
others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business
associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations
and capacity for happiness.
PISCES on 11th HOUSE

notions about happiness. When these individuals attain what they thought
would make them happy, they are apt to discover it doesn't. Depending
on other factors in their individual personalities and backgrounds,
they may either never learn to be content, or will manage to make
the best of everything that comes their way. Pisces on the eleventh
house suggests they may fall in love with a friend. They may also
have to take responsibility for a child that is not their own. Pisces
implies the possibility of scandal connected with friends and organizations
to which they belong. Their friends are apt to include those connected
with the navy or maritime businesses, photography, medicine, those
who are disabled or confined, as well as artists, musicians, dancers,
actors, and clerics. Friendships can be afflicted by deception, but
they can also be very inspirational, particularly sensitive and even
clairvoyant. The negative potential includes the possibility of loss
through friends, or friends that are addicted to drugs or alcohol
or involved with secret or illegal activities.
MOON in 11th HOUSE
Moon in the eleventh house indicates individuals who are apt to be
well liked, optimistic and idealistic. Even those with a strong personality
may tend to rely too heavily on what their friends and associates
think. In turn, they are endlessly involved with the many confidences
entrusted to them by these people. It is difficult for them to invest
their entire concentration in one person. They need continuing contacts
and a variety of roles to play in the lives of others. The influence
of the moon suggests many aspirations that they develop can be so
changeable it becomes difficult for them to establish definite commitments,
practical plans, or long-range goals. Other potentials include individuals
who make their home with friends, and it is certain that friends will
be welcome to live in theirs. They may accomplish their ultimate aspirations
through the assistance or guidance of friends. The influence of the
moon in the eleventh house also implies that family members are apt
to be among their closest friends.
MOON sextile MERCURY
Moon sextile Mercury indicates those who seek to make use not only
of their own thoughts and ideas but those of others as well. In others
words, they want to put theories into practical application. Communication
with siblings and neighbors and participation in community activities
are not merely pastimes, they are valuable opportunities through which
these individuals achieve personal progress and emotional growth.
MOON opposite NEPTUNE
Moon opposite Neptune indicates that whatever success these individuals
gain in other areas, their emotional lives can end up in quicksand;
and no matter how otherwise intelligent they are, they may never quite
understand how they got in such situations. Compassionate and often
too easily influenced by others for their own good, they can never
seem to get themselves on solid emotional footing. Strength of character
and other factors in their personalities can soften some of the negativity
connected with this aspect.
MOON trine PLUTO
Moon trine Pluto implies those with ability to strongly focus their
energy and attention. They have clear, analytical minds unimpeded
for the most part, by undue emotionalism. Many of them develop such
personal magnetism they effortlessly attract the attention and affection
of others, especially those in positions of power and status.
HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your
subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or
work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow,
disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry.
It also has connection with the job or health of your marriage or
business partner.
TAURUS on 12th HOUSE
Taurus ruling the twelfth house indicates the likelihood of individuals
that need a practical reason to become actively interested in understanding
or using the power of their subconscious, or, investigating dreams
or the past. However, if they become convinced there is some advantage
to be gained, they patiently and thoroughly study these things. Negative
potentials for Taurus on the twelfth house include individuals who
become trapped by the past and cannot let go of it in order to move
on with the rest of their life. They may be trapped or deceived in
other ways as well. They may, for example, become victims of relationships
with those who threaten "suicide or worse" or, the reverse can also
be true and they are the ones who use this destructive ploy. The influence
of Taurus on the twelfth house implies the possibility their marriage
partners are employed in research, banking and finance, agriculture,
renovation, conservation, psychology, counseling, or work that involves
an element of secrecy.
URANUS in 12th HOUSE
Uranus in the twelfth house is an indication of those who may subconsciously
fear giving up their personal independence. Though these individuals
may have no trouble getting to sleep, their job or other circumstances
may require them to sleep at odd hours. These individuals must learn
to properly relax, and many of them develop an interest in TM or other
methods that help them achieve inner peace and tranquility. The job
and health of a marriage partner is vulnerable to sudden or unexpected
change. Their spouse may also introduce them to unconventional or
unorthodox ideas and methods regarding health and physical fitness.
Other potentials of Uranus in the twelfth house include hidden friendships
or activities with friends, membership in a secret society, and illegal
activities that may or may not represent a subconscious need to rebel
against authority.
