PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned
with your individual traits.
The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon),
learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and
sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical
energy (Mars).
The second section describes how well you deal internally with the
external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for
happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations
(Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative
ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status
quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals,
morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with
or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government
and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and
distribution of natural resources (Pluto).
SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential
and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about.
It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take,
and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is
your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect
and authority, to impress and influence others.
SUN in TAURUS
As the second sign of the zodiac, Taurus represents the second stage
in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. The first thing
man uses are his physical senses. What he can see, touch, and physically
hold represents the reality of his position. It is why the celestial
heritage of Taureans is to conserve physical resources and possessively
cling to people whom they regard as their own. Their strongest desire
is for personal security. Broken promises or the betrayal of others
are threats to this security. Their reaction to such personal affronts
is likely to be bitter, and those who inflict such abuses will not
be given another chance. Disappointed Taureans can behave in a manner
totally against their own best interests. They may completely retreat
from the world, or, go in the opposite direction and become promiscuous.
Whatever direction is taken, they may end up sacrificing the meaningful,
enduring relationships they really need to feel emotionally secure.
Taureans are stubborn and impervious to changes not of their own making.
However, they are able to accomplish things in life because of their
tenacity in sticking to projects in which others may have long since
lost patience or stamina. The astrological symbol for Taurus is the
Bull and indeed, the stubborn bullheaded nature of the Taurean personality
can be extremely formidable to those who have the unfortunate experience
of coming up against it. On the positive side, their quiet strength
and determination inspires others to trust them. Because they dislike
being unable to rely on others, they are usually very dependable themselves.
Taureans are loving and patient when trying to accomplish what they
think is worthwhile and when dealing with people they care about.
As a rule, they do not enjoy surprises or spontaneous changes. They
are far more comfortable when given sufficient time to prepare for
things and allowed to follow their planned agenda.
Taureans react to what they experience by assessing its possible worth.
That is, before they take physical action, before they sort out their
emotional involvement, and before they reason it out intellectually,
they ascertain what tangible advantages are to be gained from the
experience. What appears too abstract or vague fails to attract more
than their passing interest. They need a definite purpose in what
they do and in relationships they form. Because they don't want to
be unnecessarily burdened, they willingly rid themselves of worn out
items, but only if they cannot find any other way to make use of them.
Venus, planet of beauty and pleasure, rules Taurus, which means that
by nature, people born with Sun in Taurus are tactile and sensuous,
seekers of personal comfort and physical pleasure. By design however,
they are pragmatic with an appreciative eye for both monetary value
as well as aesthetic beauty. They are lovers of nature and natural
things. Their harmony in life is tied to reality and the material
world, but sometimes they get carried away with personal acquisitions.
When they go too far afield they tend to either accumulate wealth
and never use it, or recklessly squander it without improving the
quality or enjoyment of their lives. As a result of their addiction
to personal pleasure and comfort, Taureans can be very lazy as well
as very vulnerable to the unpleasant consequences that invariably
result from overindulging in rich food and other physical pleasures.
Their natural cautiousness saves them from making mistakes, but it
can also prevent them from taking advantage of valuable opportunities.
As a rule, Taureans are physically strong and solidly built. Even
those who are not fat, may be physically more dense per pound of body
weight. Many of them favor weight lifting or other body-building routines
as a way to keep in shape. They enjoy participating in sports that
require strength and endurance. They usually like to putter around
the garden, and readily engage in other outdoor activities such as
picnics, hikes, and trips to botanical gardens or a zoo. They love
music and art and may have considerable talent in these areas. They
often have a pleasant speaking or singing voice. Though Taureans tend
to be rather subdued, they have a lively sense of humor, and enjoy
socializing.
Taurus colors are brown, russet, and turquoise. Vulnerable parts of
the body are the neck, throat, shoulders, and upper torso. Stiff necks,
sore throats, and earaches are common Taurean complaints. The emerald,
a variety of the mineral beryl and as costly as a diamond, is the
Taurus birthstone. The emerald's rich green color is suitably Taurean
since it is the color of money, green pastures, and serenity. The
emerald has a six-sided geometric form. Six is the number assigned
to Venus which in turn, is the planetary ruler of Taurus. Flowers
for Taurus are the rose (red), daisy, lily, and daffodil.
MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency
or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle
relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences.
It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional,
and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment.
It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important
females in your life.
MOON in ARIES
Those born with the moon in a Fire sign want to turn their feelings
into physical experiences. They do not initially view their desires
from the standpoint of practicality, emotional commitment, or as a
lesson to be learned. Before anything else there has to be action,
some form of instant physical gratification. As lunar Fire sign personalities,
those with moon in Aries go after what they want (or think they want)
with passion and energy. They can soon lose interest in relationships
with people who don't demonstrate the same passionate enthusiasm.
Their adventurous spirit makes it difficult for them to settle down
and accept the responsibilities and drudgery of daily routine. On
a short-term basis they can become passionately involved with people
and projects, but long-term commitments can make them feel trapped.
Restless and impatient, they have quick, sometimes volatile, tempers.
Fortunately, as quick as they are to get angry, they are just as quick
to forget the incident that prompted it.
Aries moon personalities are dedicated to getting their own way, finding
one means or another to accomplish their goals. They are meant to
be the master of their own success or failure in life. Some of them
relish this challenge, while others are all too willing to blame their
mistakes on everyone else. Their easily aroused emotions can be dangerously
misguided, especially when they act with undue haste, aggressiveness,
or anger. Their dynamic self-assertiveness can make them resentful
of all authority but their own, and aggressiveness can make it difficult
for them to take direction or advice from others. They can become
self-indulgent, overconfident and just plain foolhardy, or, they can
turn into inspired leaders, and become tireless in their efforts to
accomplish things in which they passionately believe. The spirit of
their generosity can sometimes be overshadowed by careless disregard
for the feelings of others.
Women with Aries moon can often be unflatteringly aggressive in romance
and other situations that require a subtle approach. However, they
are emotionally well-suited to meet and conquer many challenges that
would destroy less hardy types. Men with Aries moon may expect too
much and give too little in romance, but they are emotionally equipped
with an enterprising spirit, and what is often a uniquely clever and
original approach.
MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way
you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information.
It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical
skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get
where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all
possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?
MERCURY in ARIES
Individuals with Mercury in Aries want to give full and enthusiastic
expression to their thoughts and ideas. For them, the decision-making
process is immediate. They avoid being subjected to protracted discussions
or lengthy, detailed investigations preferring to leave such time-consuming
situations to others. Their mind can be brilliant and sharp, but either
their ideas, or the manner in which they express those ideas, can
often lack subtlety and refinement. In some cases, despite apparent
brilliance, they lack the organization necessary for their ideas to
be of practical use to others. Mercury in Aries indicates individuals
with acute senses, a certain amount of nervous tension, and frequently,
a very quick temper. Their manner of learning and transportation tends
to be rushed. They want to get where they are going as fast as possible.
VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic
tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions
at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance,
marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit
of pleasure.
VENUS in GEMINI
Individuals with natal Venus in Gemini are some of the most accomplished
flirts in the zodiac. It would be a mistake to accuse them of being
emotionally shallow because other factors can more accurately account
for the depth of their emotional commitment. However, in purely social
situations, these individuals are remarkably adept. The influence
of Gemini indicates their physical pleasure in relationships is never
as great as the intellectual stimulation derived from them. Excellent
speakers and ad-libbers, their social instincts are more geared to
sharing ideas and picking up all kinds of interesting information
than intense physical or emotional encounters. They find inspiration
in maintaining a wide variety of relationships with people from different
backgrounds and experiences.
MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength
and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your
emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills.
It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations,
and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.
MARS in TAURUS
Individuals with natal Mars in Taurus are not likely to waste their
time or efforts. Whatever they seek to accomplish or to acquire is
consciously or subconsciously linked to satisfying a need for personal
security. For most of them, it is usually in the form of money or
other material assets. Even those who do not seek to amass material
wealth become discouraged if their efforts and activities do not result
in gaining some goal or tangible reward. Physical pleasures are often
the object of their energetic pursuits. The Taurean influence gives
these individuals patience and determination, and is also an indication
of artistic skills. They are likely to possess great physical strength
and stamina, or at least have the capacity to develop them.
JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels;
physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation
of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism
and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.
JUPITER in CANCER
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Cancer experience personal growth
and expansion through their family and domestic environment. The concept
of nurturing is a strong element in this Jupiter sign position, and
these individuals are often talented cooks, caterers, psychological
counselors and educators. They may be subjected to emotional extremes
and must carefully avoid over-reactions. Knowledge of human emotions
and learning how to control the power and sensitivity of feelings
are what these individuals can gain in life.
SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are
apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does
not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good
fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and
meaning.
SATURN in LEO
Individuals with natal Saturn in Leo find limitations or restrictions
concerning their romantic encounters, children, and creative projects.
They may tend to approach these matters with a too-heavy hand or too
severe an attitude. Capacity for enjoyment may be lost. Success lies
in their willingness to accept the responsibilities that go along
with pleasure, but not let responsibility diminish enjoyment. Pride
may be their biggest stumbling block. They may be financially astute,
creatively constructive, or bring the needed touch of reality and
practicality to situations.
URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality
of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people
as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures.
Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking
about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people
with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence
of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications
of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the
aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes
areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be
different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique.
Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as
is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers,
and the media.
URANUS in PISCES
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Pisces are
more innovative and creative. The truly different and the truly weird
are commonplace manifestations of their talents and endeavors. They
also contribute concepts and methods that are undeniably far-sighted
and ingenious.
NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of
society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are
glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism,
and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years,
taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs.
Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign
and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign
is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's
house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your
natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion,
disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't
always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and
describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment,
and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.
NEPTUNE in LEO
The last period of Neptune in Leo was 1914-1929. Leo rules monarchy,
entertainment and art. The Russian monarchy ended, largely because
it refused (in typical Neptunian fashion) to deal with the troubled
conditions that existed in that country. The movie industry saw its
greatest growth and development. The avant-garde nature of Leo combined
with Neptune produced the Dada artistic and literary movement which
in turn, led to surrealism.
PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all
twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve
years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like
atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction
of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence
in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your
personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house
position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope.
Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously
or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also
linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes
the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.
PLUTO in CANCER
Pluto's last period in Cancer was 1912-1939. Cancer rules women and
the family. During the 20's the attitudes and roles of women were
transformed. They demanded greater freedom in society and release
from the drudgery of domestic chores. As a result of the increasing
number of women seeking employment outside of the home, family life
also changed dramatically.
PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope.
The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily
basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances
you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality
and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.
HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is
also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality
and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health
and the type of illnesses you may experience.
VIRGO ASCENDANT
A Virgo Ascendant indicates the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
and different people. The willingness of these individuals to adapt
however, is invariably accompanied by a word or two of complaint.
Nowhere is the critical facility associated with Virgo more observable
than when this sign rules the Ascendant. Always seeking perfection,
they find it difficult to accept situations or people as they are.
Even if they criticize without totally realizing what they are doing,
or without meaning to be harsh, they must learn to be more sensitive
and restrict their passion for constantly finding fault. Virgo indicates
that practicality and conservatism are prominent characteristics.
Though they may be inhibited by flamboyant displays of affection and
act excessively puritanical in public, they can nevertheless be quite
sensual and sexually-oriented in private. A contradiction in their
personalities is that they can be totally organized and attentive
to details in some areas, while at the same time be appallingly disorganized
and sloppy in other areas. Another potential trait is a proclivity
for being health conscious. If their natal sun or moon is in one of
the Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces) or in Capricorn (which
tends toward excessive worry), their concern with health can extend
to the point of hypochondria.
Virgo is ruled by Mercury, planet of communication and mental processes.
If intimidating factors in their individual personalities are not
present to subdue the tendency, they are likely to be extremely talkative
and prone to gossip. They are endlessly curious about everything that
goes on in their immediate environment, and at times, they may seem
to be everywhere at once. Ideas and projects seem to take up every
waking moment. Not only do they desire to collect and communicate
their own ideas and information, they effortlessly attract information
and news from everyone else as well. They readily absorb stores of
information that they are happy to share with anyone who takes the
time to listen. Many Virgo Ascendant people are super salesmen, efficient
negotiators, and eager travelers. They like to keep busy and useful.
Sitting around doing nothing makes them nervous and irritable. They
enjoy collecting recipes, postage stamps, and medical remedies. Respiratory
illnesses, nervousness, and allergies are apt to be common physical
complaints.
HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary
income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates
the values and priorities you establish throughout life.
LIBRA on 2nd HOUSE
Libra ruling the second house indicates individuals who are especially
fond of personal pleasures and the beautiful things that wealth can
supply. To attain these things they are apt to make full use of their
personal charm and physical attractiveness. To them it seems a fair
trade. It is possible that their income is derived from modeling,
hairdressing and related services, cosmetics manufacture and sales,
fashion and beauty consulting. They may be involved in such other
Libra-ruled areas as law, art, music, jewelry or the world of fashion
and design. The negative potential of Libra's influence can mean those
who are not able enjoy anything or anyone. Though the second house
Libra influence implies they value wealth and beauty, they also put
great value on relationships. Their sense of well-being and security
is enhanced when they are surrounded with beautiful things, an attractive,
peaceful environment, and people they like. Unless there are negative
elements in their personalities, they are not greedy, and those fortunate
enough to have wealth, balance their abundant assets by philanthropic
donations.
HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation,
self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity
and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It
indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within
your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also
describes the job or health of your father.
SCORPIO on 3rd HOUSE
Scorpio ruling the third house indicates individuals with intense
powers of concentration. It is not a certain indication they will
strive for scholarship, but whatever stimulates them mentally will
receive their undivided attention. They are keen observers and miss
very little of what goes on in their immediate environments. Scorpio's
influence on the third house is no guarantee they will have a true
understanding of what they observe. They can, for example, describe
in great detail the facts of what they have seen or heard but may
or may not really grasp what these facts may signify. Such understanding
requires the cooperation of other factors in their individual personalities.
They have a tendency to consciously or subconsciously regard information
as useful only in terms of the power it gives them over others. The
old saying "mind over matter" is particularly true with them. Though
they may not choose to develop it, they have remarkable mental ability
to persuade themselves (and others as well) that something is true
whether it is nor not. They love secrets and intrigue, and are very
interested in the mysteries of nature and the mechanisms by which
things are able to function.
HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and
family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning
as well as the end of various cycles in your life.
SAGITTARIUS on 4th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the fourth house indicates individuals likely to
be raised in environments that emphasize religion, education, or cultural
pursuits. The negative potential of Sagittarius ruling the fourth
house can mean either total deprivation of, or overemphasis in one
of the areas described above. They may, for example, suffer from having
experienced too much concentration on material wealth or social status
and not enough attention paid to developing personal character and
relationships. It can mean too much religious emphasis at the expense
of educational, cultural pursuits, or even physical joys. In the matter
of discipline there is hardly room for middle ground, either these
individuals receive little or no discipline, or, there is too much
of it. On the positive side, this influence suggests individuals whose
intellects, talents and skills were encouraged throughout their childhood
and development. There is potential that they were born or reside
in a foreign country, their parents are of foreign birth, or more
than one language is spoken in their home.
HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers,
capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children,
and speculative ventures.
CAPRICORN on 5th HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the fifth house indicates individuals who may experience
heavy responsibilities connected with children. Depending on other
factors in their individual personalities, they may take a naturally
responsible attitude toward children, placing them first in all things.
Some may not care to accept parental responsibilities but will be
forced to confront them, due to death or separation from their spouses
or some other circumstance. Capricorn does not mean lack of offspring,
though it implies they may be few in number. It also indicates that
relationships with young children tend to be formal or somber. However,
as the children mature, relationships with them are apt to become
more satisfying. Romantic encounters are seldom purely pleasurable
since inhibitory elements are sure to enter the picture. They may
have a tendency to become romantically involved with older individuals.
Since romance is what leads to marriage, these individuals may have
difficulty finding a suitable marriage partner. Self-indulgence or
hedonistic pursuits are penalized. Though success is not denied, speculative
ventures must be approached cautiously. Good luck must never be taken
for granted, and the best philosophy may be "take the money and run.
" Creative talent may be too structured or frustrated but there is
also potential that it will be developed properly and handled wisely.
HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and
unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your
health, and physical fitness.
PISCES on 6th HOUSE
Pisces ruling the sixth houses indicates those who are apt to find
employment in marine biology, the fishing industry, the navy, maritime
services and operations, photography, chemistry, psychology, medicine
(especially homeopathy, podiatry, or cosmetic surgery), or in areas
that specifically involve the feet (which could mean anything from
working in a shoe store to being a dancer). Other likely jobs may
be working with the handicapped, minorities, or those confined in
some way. These individuals are apt to work alone or in isolated environments.
There may be confusion related to job assignments, or failure to get
recognition for their work. Secrecy, deception and fraud may also
be connected to their jobs. Co-workers may be addicted to drugs or
alcohol or associated with scandal. They are apt to have idealistic,
perhaps even unrealistic, ideas about their jobs. The negative potential
can mean hypochondria or illnesses that are difficult to diagnose
or treat. Caution is advised with regard to taking medication since
they may be sensitive to drugs, medicine and anesthetics.
URANUS in 6th HOUSE
Uranus in the sixth house indicates those who seek a job that allows
maximum personal freedom. The ideal situation is to work for themselves.
If that isn't possible, the next best thing is to be able to select
their own schedule, set their own deadline, and work at their own
pace. It is difficult for them to sit still for long periods of time
or be saddled with repetitive, uninteresting tasks. If the challenge
of the job fades, they may either quit and go on to something else,
or find ways to make their work more exciting. These individuals are
apt to experience many changes of employment. Their job may unexpectedly
or abruptly be terminated, but they are just as likely to leave on
their own out of boredom and restlessness. They may be attracted to
unusual lines of work. More traditional areas in which they are likely
to be employed include medicine, computers, sales, social work, international
finance, fund raising, electronics, or teaching. Though these individuals
may be very healthy most of the time, the influence of Uranus implies
that illness tends to occur suddenly or unexpectedly, and at highly
inconvenient times. These individuals may adopt unorthodox or unusual
methods to maintain their health and physical fitness.
URANUS trine PLUTO
Uranus trine Pluto only applies to those born in the first half of
the 1920's. Uranus upsets the status quo and Pluto transforms. In
the 1920's the aspect had particular reference to upsetting and transforming
the status quo of and between the sexes. Women cut their hair and
shortened their dresses, and that was only the superficial part of
a transformation that would eventually alter forever the traditional
roles of men and women. Those born into this society are affected
to some degree by this transformation. How much depends on other factors
in their personalities and backgrounds.
HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures
of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others
tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters,
negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as
well as adversarial.
PISCES on 7th HOUSE
Pisces ruling the seventh house indicates those who may have a hard
time being understood by others. Something about these individuals
may seem glamorous, illusive or mysterious to others, but their true
personalities, physical appearances, or actions are apt to be difficult
for others to understand, clearly recognize or accurately describe.
They may, for example, be seen as being quite different in appearance
by the same people from one time to another, even though they have
done nothing to alter their looks. There may be untimely loss of a
partner, or marriage to someone less fortunate than themselves. Their
marriage partners may be emotionally disturbed, disabled, from a minority
group, or addicted to habit-forming substances. On the positive side,
their marriage partners may have considerable artistic talent as well
as highly developed intuitions. There is possibility for deception
as well as unrealistic expectations in marriage, though there is no
certainty about which partner will be the one at fault. They may establish
highly spiritual or psychically sensitive associations.
MERCURY in 7th HOUSE
Ideas and intellectual stimulation derived through communication and
interaction with others is vital to those with Mercury in the seventh
house. It also indicates more than one marriage partner, and in some
societies it may happen at the same time. They may have more than
one business partner, or several partnerships concerning different
enterprises. Partnership may be formed with siblings or with aunts
and uncles on the mother's side of the family. There is much communication
with partners, and the partners themselves are apt to very talkative,
intellectually curious and mechanically skilled. Mercury also implies
excellent memory for names, faces, and facts about others.
MERCURY sextile VENUS
Mercury sextile Venus indicates those apt to be mentally alert and
highly sociable. Their sense of humor and intellectual curiosity afford
the motivation to attain adequate education for whatever they set
out to accomplish. Their pleasant, or at least engagingly interesting
dispositions, enable them to attract many opportunities for making
use of whatever communicative or technical skills they possess.
MERCURY square JUPITER
Mercury square Jupiter indicates those apt to be highly intelligent
but get bogged down in meaningless details. Poor memories or poor
attitudes result in being plagued with a great deal of unnecessary
work. Their intellectual curiosity can mean remarkable research and
scholarship abilities or only a fondness for gossip.
HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the
income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes
your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and use material
assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house
also indicates sexual attitudes and behavior.
ARIES on 8th HOUSE
Aries ruling the eighth house is an indication of individuals with
intense energy and vitality when they choose to focus it. Other factors
in the rest of their individual natal charts will have to suggest
the particular areas where they are likely to concentrate their energy,
but it is highly probable these areas will include sexual and financial
matters, and research in psychological or occult subjects. They are
apt to be quite clever and resourceful, with special talent for decorating,
remodeling and renovations of all kinds. Aries influencing the eighth
house may be demonstrated by their interest and ability in financial
speculations and managing joint finances or corporate funds. Either
their, or their marriage partner's income may be connected with insurance
(especially fire insurance), funding for new development and research,
or the sale, manufacture, or handling of weapons or surgical equipment.
MOON in 8th HOUSE
Moon in the eighth house indicates those who know exactly what they
want, and go about satisfying their desires with remarkable tenacity.
They are not apt to be glib or open concerning their emotional needs
until what they want is in front of them, and then they may become
very frank and explicit in expressing themselves. Others may find
it difficult to fathom their true feelings because they so often appear
emotionally self-contained or satisfied even when they are not. If
supported by other factors in their personality and background, they
are capable of being excellent researchers and investigators. They
can be very competitive on an emotional level which allows jealousy
and possessiveness to creep into their relationships. These individuals
may have some special emotional involvement with legacies or concern
with death. The income of marriage partners may be derived from family
trusts, or from work in areas related to women, children, homes, food,
nursing, and family.
MOON sextile URANUS
Moon sextile Uranus is often an indication of those with marked intelligence
or at least great cleverness. They may never be prepared to take advantage
of relationships or opportunities because their occurrence is unpredictable.
But their intelligence, or in some cases their emotional instincts,
are likely to be more than adequate to help them take advantage of
valuable opportunities when they do come along.
MOON square NEPTUNE
Success is possible with Moon square Neptune but perhaps only after
many emotionally discouraging false starts. Some of these individuals
may quit just at the edge of success, never realizing how close they
were, while others develop the maturity to hang in until they succeed.
Valuable time can be lost chasing unrealistic goals or useless people
and situations. Disorganization and inattention to detail can also
impede their progress but such faults can be and often are overcome.
MOON sextile PLUTO
Moon sextile Pluto indicates those apt to have uncanny perception;
the remarkable skill of being able to separate what is important and
should be considered and analyzed, from what is not relevant and should
be discarded. They are detailed, organized, and willing to put forth
total concentration when their interest is aroused. Their objective
assessment of exactly what an opportunity represents is not often
derailed by too much sentimentality or personal desire.
SUN in 8th HOUSE
Sun in the eighth house indicates those whose ego is bound to their
sense of self-worth. Having little if any urge for self-promotion
for its own sake, they do things to satisfy themselves, not to impress
others. They may have talent for handling resources and material assets.
No matter what they gain from other sources, it is the development
and use of their own talent and skills that give them the independence
and success they desire. They tend to look deeper, to go beyond the
obvious, and to explore the mysteries of man and nature. Family connections
or legacies, as well as the absence of these things, can play a significant
part in the shaping of their life and desires.
SUN conjunct MOON
These individuals are apt to risk all their money on one horse, so
to speak; the result of impatience with the constant struggle of deciding
whether to follow their hearts or their brains. The negative associations
of this conjunction include repression and emotional isolation. The
positive influence signifies well integrated personalities that successfully
balance personal desires with consideration for others. They may be
opinionated and willful at times but they are also dedicated and loyal.
SUN conjunct MARS
These individuals are apt to have innately restless natures. This
restlessness may be apparent in their constant competitiveness, inability
to settle down, or tendency to practically kill themselves with overwork.
There is a good bit of self-absorption and, though they may not be
intentionally selfish, they can be careless about the feelings of
others. They are apt to get caught up in a certain amount of possessiveness,
jealousy, and quick anger, but these feelings may not last too long
and they are nearly always generous enough to forget the grievance
and quickly get on with other things.
SUN sextile JUPITER
Sun sextile Jupiter is an indication of those who rarely have to search
for opportunities to meet others who will help them. They just seem
to have an uncanny ability to wander into the right situation with
the right people at the right time. The opportunities they are given
are usually learning situations, chances to expand their intellectual
horizons or promote their thoughts and ideas.
SUN square NEPTUNE
Sun square Neptune indicates those who may often be at a loss to explain
how and why their problems occur. Just when they think things are
resolved, it turns out there are facts they didn't know, or loose
ends still to be taken care of. Getting to the bottom of things and
taking care of details is possible but often difficult. The best way
for them to succeed is to handle the here and now, stick to the facts
and what they actually know, and let everything else take care of
itself.
SUN sextile PLUTO
Sun sextile Pluto is usually an indication of individuals who are
given opportunities to interact with those more powerful than themselves.
These opportunities also represent the chance for these individuals
to learn the value of control and power and what happens when such
privileges are abused. Not everyone they meet will give tangible assistance
in the way of money or obvious favors, but they often turn out to
be important resources in helping these individuals get ahead in other
ways.
MARS in 8th HOUSE
Mars in the eighth house indicates those with intense energy and stamina.
Where they focus their energy is not determined solely by Mars in
the eighth house, but there is likely to be a certain aggressiveness
and concentrated energy connected with almost everything they do.
They are sure to have very specific desires and no hesitation about
trying to gratify them. They may be secretive or circumspect in their
movements and activities, or give that kind of impression. The negative
potential includes those who are deeply possessive or vengeful. The
influence of Mars suggests an active sex life, intense feelings concerning
sexual matters and toward the opposite sex. Many of these individuals
develop remarkable ability to understand sexuality from a psychological
as well as physical point of view, and to do research or counseling
in this field. They are usually physically resourceful, and have talent
for doing more than one thing extremely well. They are likely to possess
mechanical and/or artistic skills that are especially valuable in
renovation and remodeling.
MARS sextile JUPITER
Mars sextile Jupiter indicates those who receive opportunities in
life to make use of whatever talent or interest they have in politics,
art, music, foreign cultures or international diplomacy, promotion
and advertising, law and the justice system, writing, religion, or
higher education. They are fortunate because many of these valuable
opportunities occur without too much effort on their part.
MARS square NEPTUNE
One of the biggest frustrations of those with Mars square Neptune
is having their efforts go unrewarded, or worse, having their efforts
make no effect at all. Disorganization, disorderliness, and lack of
motivation needlessly complicates their lives. Getting things done
often seems overwhelming, even though they can be deluded into thinking
everything will turn out all right. In some situations this is just
as well since they save themselves needless aggravation.
HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing,
publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies,
religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits.
It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To
a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health
of your mother.
TAURUS on 9th HOUSE
Taurus ruling the ninth house indicates the likelihood of individuals
who are culturally oriented, spiritually inspired, or philosophically
and intellectually disposed. They tend to think of themselves as citizens
of the world, even if they do not have the opportunity or inclinations
to go abroad. A Taurus influence also suggests they may become judges,
legislators, politicians, clerics, teachers, musicians, artists, diplomats,
or, they may work in advertising, writing or broadcasting. They are
apt to possess strong intellectual curiosity about other people. They
may also develop idealistic or impractical notions regarding religion
and social structures. However, many of them are able to strike a
balance between ideals and practical reality. There is potential for
romance or marriage while in a foreign country or with a person of
a different race or culture. Negative possibilities include individuals
with antisocial, prejudicial attitudes, or, those who have difficulty
with in-laws, or experience unfavorable court judgments.
VENUS in 9th HOUSE
Venus in the ninth house indicates those who are culturally oriented,
spiritually inspired, and philosophically inclined. They often develop
idealistic notions regarding social structures. However, if there
are no negative factors in their personality or background to interfere,
most of them strike a balance between their ideals and practical reality.
They like to think of themselves as citizens of the world, and indeed,
they often fit this description. Many of them seek positions in writing,
broadcasting, advertising, and higher education. The influence of
Venus suggests potential for romance, marriage, partnership and joint
ventures in foreign countries or with those of a different nationality
or race. The negative potential can mean anti-social attitudes, difficulty
with in-laws, and unfavorable court judgments. It also implies difficulty
obtaining advanced degrees and specialized training.
HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals,
public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates
to your father and his influence in your life.
GEMINI on 10th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the tenth house indicates the likelihood of individuals
who want their thoughts and ideas conveyed to the public. Even if
they don't necessarily seek the spotlight, they want a public forum
in which to communicate their thoughts or put their ideas into public
practice. They may do this, for example, by writing speeches for others
or becoming city planners and engineers. They enjoy carrying on mental
pursuits in some public place, or in a public manner, like chess matches
in a park or writing letters to the editors of newspapers. A tenth
house Gemini influence is also an indication of those who have more
than one career, or that there is something of a dual-natured quality
connected with what they do. The negative potential includes individuals
who have difficulty communicating with their father and other authority
figures, or difficulty expressing themselves in public.
PLUTO in 10th HOUSE
Pluto in the tenth house indicates those who want to control their
own destiny and as a result, are reluctant to allow anyone to assume
power or influence over their decisions or the directions they take.
It must be added however, that they may not develop this desire until
later in life. If, for one reason or another, they do not develop
control over their own life, it is likely to become a significant
impediment to their ultimate growth and maturity. Other Pluto potentials
include those who focus intense energy in pursuing a career or other
long-range goals. Whether or not they gain power and status themselves,
they seem able to attract the attention and association of those who
do. By choice or circumstance there may be secrecy and hidden control
or manipulation related to a parent (usually the father), their career,
or the amount of public influence these individuals possess.
JUPITER in 10th HOUSE
Jupiter in the tenth house indicates those who consciously or subconsciously
seek a public forum to exhibit their intellectual skills, artistic
talent, or specialized training. What they know or what they do must
be transmitted to others and so they seek work and activities that
put them directly in touch with the public. Jupiter's influence suggests
special interest or a career in such areas as promotion, entertainment,
politics, art, sales, broadcasting, education, or religion. These
individuals may effortlessly attract the attention of those with power
and influence, and just as effortlessly achieve such positions themselves.
Jupiter's influence suggests the potential for their father to have
wealth, honor and status, and, that he is a generous parent who broadens
their intellectual horizon, and gives them valuable assistance and
advice. The negative potential includes difficulty or loss related
to their father, restrictions imposed by superiors, and frustration
or delay in attaining promotions or other personal goals. It can also
mean individuals who are put in situations for which they are not
adequately prepared, or for which they lack the necessary skills.
JUPITER conjunct PLUTO
Jupiter conjunct Pluto signifies a generation of people with an urge
to explore the mysteries of nature and the universe. Their thinking
and attitudes are analytical and investigative. Transforming fundamental
ideas about human physical, psychological and mental conditions is
their societal directive. Depending on the personalities and backgrounds
of individuals born with this aspect, they will be more or less involved
with the areas described above, either in their professions or other
activities.
HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong,
and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages
earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of
others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business
associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations
and capacity for happiness.
CANCER on 11th HOUSE
Cancer ruling the eleventh house indicates the likelihood of individuals
who develop strong emotional identifications with friends and associates.
Whether they attract a lot of friends or even go out of their way
to retain friendships is not the point here. In spite of the emotional
identification, their friendships are not necessarily long-lived unless
other factors in their personality support the willingness to accept
responsibilities connected with maintaining relationships. They may
have one friend or hundreds, but their emotional identification with
them plays a major role in how they perceive themselves. There is
a strong nurturing element associated with friends which can sometimes
be a wonderful inspiration, and at other times cause jealousy and
possessiveness to creep into relationships. The aspirations they develop
throughout life can be so changeable it is difficult for them to establish
definite commitments and long-range goals. Those who do successfully
accomplish their goals often do so with the strong assistance or guidance
from friends.
NEPTUNE in 11th HOUSE
Neptune in the eleventh house indicates the potential for undermining
influences and elements of illusion, confusion, or mystery to surround
the role these individuals play in the lives of others as a child,
parent, lover, spouse, or friend. These individuals may not understand
the true nature of the people (or relationships they share) with whom
they live and socialize. They may adopt a child, or marry someone
with children. Other potentials include those who have trouble getting
a true picture of their own happiness. When they attain what they
thought would make them happy, they often discover it doesn't. Some
of them are never content with their achievements, or with the money,
possessions, and relationships they have. Some of them, however, manage
to be so content with whatever comes their way, they never succeed
in realizing their full potential. Their friends are apt to be artists,
poets, and dreamers. They may also share affection and friendship
with dancers, clerics, mathematicians, and sailors. Discretion must
always be used when choosing close companions, since these individuals
have no trouble attracting people who can do them absolutely no good.
Friends may be addicted to drugs or alcohol or involved in illegal
activities. Neptune's negative influence can also mean the untimely
loss of a friend, and the infidelity of a marriage partner. Though
friendships can be afflicted by deception, this is not always the
case. The positive side of Neptune implies highly inspirational and
sensitive, perhaps even clairvoyant, relationships can be established
with friends.
SATURN in 11th HOUSE
Saturn in the eleventh house indicates heavy responsibilities related
to the role that they play in the lives of others, especially friends,
children (not necessarily their biological offspring), and others
who make up their personal network. Saturn's influence does not imply
lack of such people in their life, and indeed, they may enjoy solid,
long-lasting relationships with them. However, these individuals may
tend to harbor the notion that they are friendless and unappreciated.
They may have an aversion or little motivation to join societies.
Those who become a member of a club are often handed extra responsibilities.
Saturn suggests that income or promotion from their career may be
very limited or delayed. The father is apt to have few assets, and,
if he has wealth, it may be of little use to them. Real happiness
and enjoyment will be hard won, and perhaps not achieved until later
in life.
HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your
subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or
work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow,
disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry.
It also has connection with the job or health of your marriage or
business partner.
VIRGO on 12th HOUSE
Virgo ruling the twelfth house indicates the likelihood these individuals
keep many of their ideas and thoughts to themselves. They or their
marriage partner may be involved in labor negotiations, teaching,
religious counseling, or work with communication or computers connected
with hospitals, prisons, charitable institutions, and mental institutions.
They are attracted to mental orientations that go beyond the physical
planes, such as the subconscious, dreams, and extra sensory perception,
but many of them must first be convinced there is a useful application
of such knowledge before they embark on a prolonged or serious investigation.
Their thoughts and ideas are not always based on logical reasoning
but may just as often be the result of instinct or intuition. Sometimes
this type of thinking works, and sometimes they need to get a clearer
sense of reality. The negative potential implies the possibility of
being a prisoner of their own minds with guilt, fear, and self-pity
as constant companions. The positive influence implies an acute understanding
of the valuable lessons of the past, and the ability to wisely counsel
others who are depressed or have suffered loss.
