PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned
with your individual traits.
The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon),
learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and
sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical
energy (Mars).
The second section describes how well you deal internally with the
external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for
happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations
(Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative
ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status
quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals,
morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with
or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government
and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and
distribution of natural resources (Pluto).
SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential
and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about.
It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take,
and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is
your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect
and authority, to impress and influence others.
SUN in PISCES
As the twelfth sign of the zodiac, Pisces represents the twelfth and
final stage in the evolution of man and his place in the universe.
Here, the desire is to use all that has been learned and assimilated
in order to gain perfection; of man as an individual and humanity
as a whole. This perfection leads man to his rightful place in the
universe. Though not all Pisceans occupy their time with such lofty
aspirations as attaining their rightful place in the universe, the
notion of perfection is a strong factor in their personality. They
find it difficult to deal with people and situations that do not live
up to their idealized images. It isn't that they can't see things
clearly, they just don't want to accept things as they really are.
Seeking greater perfection than the real world is capable of producing,
they often turn to religion or other spiritual and philosophical disciplines.
Pisceans readily adapt to change. This trait is a strength because
it is a survival mechanism, and a weakness because it makes them vulnerable
to the demands and influence of other people. In spite of their sensitive
personality and delicate physical constitutions, most Pisceans are
survivors. Their adaptability allows them to outlast those who may
be much stronger. Because they so readily identify with the feelings
of others, and willingly adapt themselves to different people and
changing circumstances, they risk the exploitation or loss of their
own needs, ideas, and talent. The opposite side of the coin is that
adaptability also allows Pisceans to gain personal power over those
they understand so well and turn it to their own advantage. The fish
is the astrological symbol for Pisces. The fish is pictured as a double
figure seen to swim in either direction. This represents the ultimate
Piscean choice; either to be strong and overcome weakness inherent
in their sensitive nature, or to become the victim of this acute vulnerability.
Pisceans react emotionally to everything they experience in life.
Before they take physical action, before they sort out the practicality
of what they are doing, and before they reason things out intellectually,
they give in to their feelings. Compassionate and fair-minded, they
are not at all afraid to bend unbreakable rules if the situation demands
a more humane approach. They make excellent judges, sensitive administrators,
and inspirational teachers. Their surplus of emotions implies an addictive
nature, and thus it is necessary to avoid habit-forming drugs and
other substances. To maintain their emotional equilibrium, they need
a private spot or at least a private time for daily retreat and relaxation.
The most creatively stimulating and soothing environment for Pisceans
is near water, preferably the ocean.
The modern ruler of Pisces is Neptune, planet of the spiritual and
sensitive qualities in man. Ancient astrologers assigned Pisces Jupiter,
a planet also associated with spirituality as well as thirst for knowledge
and understanding. These planets represent similar traits and both
of them influence Piscean personalities. They are idealistic, sensitive,
and love to play martyr. They are often shy and would much rather
impersonate someone else than be themselves. That's why so many are
actors, artists, writers, and dreamers. Their association with elusive
Neptune makes it hard to predict how Pisceans will develop. Some of
them are neat and well organized, while others become slovenly and
careless. Personal habits are often a direct reflection of emotional
reactions to their environment. Their imaginations are limitless,
an ability that makes them successful writers of fiction or turns
them into pathological liars. Unique ability to understand the abstract
can make them gifted mathematicians and theorists, or it can put them
so out of touch with reality that they make no sense at all.
As if to directly confront their own vulnerability, many Pisceans
are daredevils and risk-takers, becoming race car drivers, aviators,
explorers, and hunters. Their emotional nature can make them compulsive
eaters who face a lifelong battle of the bulge. Sports and physical
fitness routines are a good way for them to keep in shape as well
as reduce their emotional stress. Horseback riding, dancing, skating,
swimming or sailing are favored activities.
Piscean colors are pale green, purple, rose, and gray-blue. Vulnerable
parts of the body are the feet and lymphatic system. Swelling, allergic
reaction to drugs, and sore feet are common complaints, but their
emotional nature can also make them vulnerable to psychosomatic illness.
The Piscean birthstone is the aquamarine. The sea-colored aquamarine
becomes invisible when submerged in water. This is an appropriate
representation of the shy Pisceans who often wish they could disappear
as easily. Flowers for Pisces are the orchid, lilac, wisteria, water
lily (lotus), poppy (white), and pansy.
MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency
or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle
relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences.
It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional,
and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment.
It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important
females in your life.
MOON in TAURUS
Except in the pursuit of pleasure (to which many of them can be quite
dedicated) those born with the moon in an Earth sign are not emotionally
spontaneous. They don't nonchalantly accept the responsibility of
long-term relationships, or analyze emotional commitments merely as
a mental exercise. They may hesitate to move at all unless they feel
they are on solid ground, or there is some personal advantage to be
gained by their emotional involvement. As lunar Earth sign personalities,
those with moon in Taurus require tangible proof of affection from
those with whom they form relationships. Their strong physical appetites
push them to gratify their desires whenever they have the opportunity,
but never in an outwardly reckless manner that threatens their basic
security. Material comforts and the advantages of wealth are important
to them, and they can become overly concerned with social status.
Though they enjoy having the stability of a solid home and family
life, they are not necessarily homebodies. In fact, they tend to spend
a lot of time and attention on social or economic pursuits instead
of routine household or family chores.
Taurus moon personalities do not want to be rushed or forced into
commitments. However, once they do make an emotional commitment to
a project, idea, or relationship, they doggedly pursue and hang on
to it. It's hard for them to accept when things go wrong, and it may
take an even longer time for them to make the necessary adjustments
to rectify the situation. Their calm and quiet temperament has a stabilizing
influence on others, but it can also give them an aura of self-containment
that makes them appear proud or unapproachable. Others who break promises
or fail to keep their word to them must be prepared to endure the
consequences. Moon in Taurus personalities have long memories. They
may forgive but they rarely forget. Some of them remember personal
insults and disappointments for years, wasting precious time bearing
grudges that should have been long forgotten.
Women with Taurus moon are independent and self-reliant. Their nature
is to spend lavishly in particular situations and be very miserly
in others. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground in the matter.
They are apt to gain materially through marriage. Men with Taurus
moon are charming and diplomatic in social relationships and sensual
partners in romantic encounters. Though they can be hedonistic, they
are also unselfishly devoted to their children.
MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way
you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information.
It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical
skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get
where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all
possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?
MERCURY in AQUARIUS
Those with natal Mercury in Aquarius have a curious, but usually compatible,
mixture of characteristics associated with their thoughts and ideas
and the expression of those ideas. These individuals are stimulated
by unusual or unorthodox methods and ideas, which they are often successful
at fitting into traditional systems. They have respect for tradition,
but are also able to express traditional ideas in an avant-garde or
unorthodox manner. They can be very stubborn and opinionated, while
at the same time maintain liberal, unbiased attitudes. They are inclined
toward design, architecture, science, finance, and, in some cases,
music or literature. In the matter of learning and transportation,
they can be unpredictable and, at times, highly original and unique.
Whatever they do, they always seem to wittingly or unwittingly attract
a crowd.
VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic
tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions
at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance,
marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit
of pleasure.
VENUS in AQUARIUS
These individuals have wide-ranging social attitudes and behavioral
patterns. For these egalitarian personalities, a restricted code of
social acceptability does not exist. They eagerly accept all types
of people into their social circle. Extremely people-oriented, they
have no trouble attracting many friends and acquaintances. They would
suffer greatly if denied access to a telephone or other means of constant
communication. Though they tend to have a less than passionate approach
to romance and other close relationships, no one denies their essential
loyalty. They tend to become passionate when dealing with humanitarian
principles or spiritual development that for many of them (as they
get older), transcends mere social contacts or physical romance. Financial
as well as people skills make them good fund raisers. They are also
excellent at organizing, social services, teaching, and writing.
MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength
and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your
emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills.
It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations,
and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.
MARS in PISCES
The energy of those with Mars in Pisces is highly influenced by their
emotional state and, too often, at the mercy of the environment in
which they operate. They can easily be inspired as well as inspiring,
and many possess outstanding creative and artistic talent. Their instinctive
reactions are keen, as is their power of turning abstract concepts
into reality. The problem they invariably face is that they find it
difficult to accomplish things either because they are too lazy, or
lack the necessary confidence to act. As a result, they can waste
their talents and skills for want of a good push to get started. Many
develop an inner strength that is remarkable. As if to confront potential
physical weakness, they engage in high-risk activities.
JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels;
physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation
of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism
and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.
JUPITER in VIRGO
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Virgo seek tangible proof of their
growth and progress, or at least proof that what they are striving
for makes some practical sense. They are very often just as involved
with the progress and growth of others as they are with their own,
which makes them excellent teachers, counselors or clerics. The idealism
associated with both Jupiter and Virgo can be a severe limitation
for these individuals when nothing and no one seems good enough or
perfect enough to satisfy them. On the other hand, it is their demands
for perfection that inspire others to rise above mediocrity.
SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are
apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does
not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good
fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and
meaning.
SATURN in GEMINI
Individuals with Saturn in Gemini find restrictions in communication.
They may lack ability or opportunity to acquire or communicate information.
In some cases it may be the inability of others to communicate effectively
that hampers their own efforts. Disorganization may be the reason
that some of them cannot efficiently use information, or, being overly
organized, they miss important details. Efforts to turn ideas into
action can be restricted. They may be too serious when a light-hearted
approach would be more effective.
URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality
of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people
as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures.
Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking
about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people
with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence
of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications
of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the
aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes
areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be
different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique.
Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as
is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers,
and the media.
URANUS in LIBRA
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Libra will
be concerned with ideas and concepts that involve legal codes, particularly
the issue of freedom. Individual liberties will be re-examined and
perhaps altered to meet the needs of the community. The reverse may
also occur and freedom of the community may be changed to protect
the individual.
NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of
society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are
glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism,
and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years,
taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs.
Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign
and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign
is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's
house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your
natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion,
disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't
always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and
describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment,
and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.
NEPTUNE in TAURUS
Taurus is associated with art, and solid accomplishment in the physical
and material world. The last transit of Neptune in Taurus was 1874-1889.
It inspired the first exhibition of the French Impressionists whose
methods depicted the natural appearance of objects. Neptune's spirituality
gained solid roots in the founding of Brigham Young University in
Utah and Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati.
PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all
twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve
years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like
atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction
of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence
in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your
personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house
position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope.
Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously
or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also
linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes
the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.
PLUTO in GEMINI
Pluto's last period in Gemini was 1882-1912. Gemini rules communication
and transportation. During Pluto's transit there were fantastic achievements
in these areas. The first subway was built in London, the first automatic
telephone switchboard was introduced, Marconi invented radio telegraphy,
and Zeppelin built his airship.
PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope.
The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily
basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances
you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality
and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.
HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is
also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality
and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health
and the type of illnesses you may experience.
VIRGO ASCENDANT
A Virgo Ascendant indicates the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
and different people. The willingness of these individuals to adapt
however, is invariably accompanied by a word or two of complaint.
Nowhere is the critical facility associated with Virgo more observable
than when this sign rules the Ascendant. Always seeking perfection,
they find it difficult to accept situations or people as they are.
Even if they criticize without totally realizing what they are doing,
or without meaning to be harsh, they must learn to be more sensitive
and restrict their passion for constantly finding fault. Virgo indicates
that practicality and conservatism are prominent characteristics.
Though they may be inhibited by flamboyant displays of affection and
act excessively puritanical in public, they can nevertheless be quite
sensual and sexually-oriented in private. A contradiction in their
personalities is that they can be totally organized and attentive
to details in some areas, while at the same time be appallingly disorganized
and sloppy in other areas. Another potential trait is a proclivity
for being health conscious. If their natal sun or moon is in one of
the Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces) or in Capricorn (which
tends toward excessive worry), their concern with health can extend
to the point of hypochondria.
Virgo is ruled by Mercury, planet of communication and mental processes.
If intimidating factors in their individual personalities are not
present to subdue the tendency, they are likely to be extremely talkative
and prone to gossip. They are endlessly curious about everything that
goes on in their immediate environment, and at times, they may seem
to be everywhere at once. Ideas and projects seem to take up every
waking moment. Not only do they desire to collect and communicate
their own ideas and information, they effortlessly attract information
and news from everyone else as well. They readily absorb stores of
information that they are happy to share with anyone who takes the
time to listen. Many Virgo Ascendant people are super salesmen, efficient
negotiators, and eager travelers. They like to keep busy and useful.
Sitting around doing nothing makes them nervous and irritable. They
enjoy collecting recipes, postage stamps, and medical remedies. Respiratory
illnesses, nervousness, and allergies are apt to be common physical
complaints.
URANUS in 1st HOUSE
Uranus in the first house indicates individuals who tend to be argumentative
and who enjoy playing devil's advocate. They believe they are different
and unique as an individual, or at least they want to give the appearance
of being so. It is one reason they love to take the opposing side
in discussions. The personality and appearance of these individuals
are often somewhat off-beat or out of step with current fashion. Being
different does not necessarily extend to a fiery or excitable nature.
In fact, they are more likely to possess a calm, quiet, demeanor much
of the time. They are capable, however, of such unexpected behavior
and reactions, it is difficult to predict with certainty what they
will do in any given situation. Though they may require a certain
amount of personal independence, marriage is not usually a problem
unless their partner becomes too dependent or too possessive. They
can get restless if there isn't enough in their immediate environment
to stimulate them but whether or not they will seek to change a boring
existence, depends on other motivating factors in their personality
and background. They are fascinated by strange and unusual things
or people. Intrigued by futuristic topics and technologies, they also
have great interest in the past. History and politics are usually
their favorite subjects.
URANUS trine PLUTO
Uranus trine Pluto only applies to those born in the first half of
the 1920's. Uranus upsets the status quo and Pluto transforms. In
the 1920's the aspect had particular reference to upsetting and transforming
the status quo of and between the sexes. Women cut their hair and
shortened their dresses, and that was only the superficial part of
a transformation that would eventually alter forever the traditional
roles of men and women. Those born into this society are affected
to some degree by this transformation. How much depends on other factors
in their personalities and backgrounds.
HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary
income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates
the values and priorities you establish throughout life.
LIBRA on 2nd HOUSE
Libra ruling the second house indicates individuals who are especially
fond of personal pleasures and the beautiful things that wealth can
supply. To attain these things they are apt to make full use of their
personal charm and physical attractiveness. To them it seems a fair
trade. It is possible that their income is derived from modeling,
hairdressing and related services, cosmetics manufacture and sales,
fashion and beauty consulting. They may be involved in such other
Libra-ruled areas as law, art, music, jewelry or the world of fashion
and design. The negative potential of Libra's influence can mean those
who are not able enjoy anything or anyone. Though the second house
Libra influence implies they value wealth and beauty, they also put
great value on relationships. Their sense of well-being and security
is enhanced when they are surrounded with beautiful things, an attractive,
peaceful environment, and people they like. Unless there are negative
elements in their personalities, they are not greedy, and those fortunate
enough to have wealth, balance their abundant assets by philanthropic
donations.
HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation,
self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity
and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It
indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within
your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also
describes the job or health of your father.
SCORPIO on 3rd HOUSE
Scorpio ruling the third house indicates individuals with intense
powers of concentration. It is not a certain indication they will
strive for scholarship, but whatever stimulates them mentally will
receive their undivided attention. They are keen observers and miss
very little of what goes on in their immediate environments. Scorpio's
influence on the third house is no guarantee they will have a true
understanding of what they observe. They can, for example, describe
in great detail the facts of what they have seen or heard but may
or may not really grasp what these facts may signify. Such understanding
requires the cooperation of other factors in their individual personalities.
They have a tendency to consciously or subconsciously regard information
as useful only in terms of the power it gives them over others. The
old saying "mind over matter" is particularly true with them. Though
they may not choose to develop it, they have remarkable mental ability
to persuade themselves (and others as well) that something is true
whether it is nor not. They love secrets and intrigue, and are very
interested in the mysteries of nature and the mechanisms by which
things are able to function.
HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and
family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning
as well as the end of various cycles in your life.
SAGITTARIUS on 4th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the fourth house indicates individuals likely to
be raised in environments that emphasize religion, education, or cultural
pursuits. The negative potential of Sagittarius ruling the fourth
house can mean either total deprivation of, or overemphasis in one
of the areas described above. They may, for example, suffer from having
experienced too much concentration on material wealth or social status
and not enough attention paid to developing personal character and
relationships. It can mean too much religious emphasis at the expense
of educational, cultural pursuits, or even physical joys. In the matter
of discipline there is hardly room for middle ground, either these
individuals receive little or no discipline, or, there is too much
of it. On the positive side, this influence suggests individuals whose
intellects, talents and skills were encouraged throughout their childhood
and development. There is potential that they were born or reside
in a foreign country, their parents are of foreign birth, or more
than one language is spoken in their home.
HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers,
capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children,
and speculative ventures.
CAPRICORN on 5th HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the fifth house indicates individuals who may experience
heavy responsibilities connected with children. Depending on other
factors in their individual personalities, they may take a naturally
responsible attitude toward children, placing them first in all things.
Some may not care to accept parental responsibilities but will be
forced to confront them, due to death or separation from their spouses
or some other circumstance. Capricorn does not mean lack of offspring,
though it implies they may be few in number. It also indicates that
relationships with young children tend to be formal or somber. However,
as the children mature, relationships with them are apt to become
more satisfying. Romantic encounters are seldom purely pleasurable
since inhibitory elements are sure to enter the picture. They may
have a tendency to become romantically involved with older individuals.
Since romance is what leads to marriage, these individuals may have
difficulty finding a suitable marriage partner. Self-indulgence or
hedonistic pursuits are penalized. Though success is not denied, speculative
ventures must be approached cautiously. Good luck must never be taken
for granted, and the best philosophy may be "take the money and run.
" Creative talent may be too structured or frustrated but there is
also potential that it will be developed properly and handled wisely.
VENUS in 5th HOUSE
Venus in the fifth house indicates individuals with the ability to
raise socializing and the pursuit of pleasure to an art form. Theirs
is such a merry, generous nature that others don't notice or become
offended if they happen to overindulge themselves. They can be such
thoughtful and excellent lovers that their amorous conquests don't
seem to mind being in a long line of other romantic partners. They
enjoy expensive clothes and other luxury items. The potential for
artistic or other creative talents leads quite a few of them to a
career in stage and costume design, music, writing, or illustration.
They are apt to have special rapport with children, understanding
what sort of activities amuse and entertain them. The negative potential
of this Venus house position includes the possibility of encountering
problems with children and romance, bad luck in speculative ventures,
and lack of ability to derive enjoyment from anything.
VENUS trine SATURN
Venus trine Saturn implies the possibility of marriage or partnership
with someone older or more mature. It is an indication that these
individuals may pay a price for success, but their work is almost
always rewarded one way or another. Their actions and relations with
others are usually conducted pretty much along traditional lines and
established rules of legitimacy and fairness.
VENUS square NEPTUNE
Venus square Neptune implies deception in romance. Infidelity is a
big possibility, though it is not certain whether these individuals
will be the guilty ones or it is their romantic partners who will
be false. They may also be deceived simply by their own unrealistic
illusions and expectations concerning romantic partners, and thus
doomed to disappointment when such ideals are inevitably shattered.
Maturity and a more objective approach helps to overcome the negativity
of this aspect and increase the sensitivity and creative talents that
are its positive indications.
MERCURY in 5th HOUSE
Mercury in the fifth house indicates those who identify creative talent
with intellectual skill. They are likely to possess talent for writing,
acting, or the ability to impersonate others. Though not above taking
a chance on one throw of the dice, they are just as apt to enjoy learning
the real mechanics of gambling or trading stocks and commodities.
They may even devise unique systems of their own for gambling and
other speculative ventures. They are most likely to be romantically
attracted to those with intellectual ability. Romance may bloom in
their own neighborhood or they may be introduced to a romantic partner
through their siblings. Mercury's influence in the fifth house suggests
fickleness and the tendency to indulge in more than one romance at
a time. It is also an indication they can be overly critical of a
romantic partner or romance in general. They take pride in children's
intellectual accomplishments and enjoy helping them with their studies,
which is also the reason many of these individuals are excellent teachers.
MERCURY conjunct VENUS
There is no certain indication of the depth of intellect in individuals
with Mercury conjunct Venus but they are sure to have humor and charm.
They are good talkers and are apt to possess remarkable communicative
or artistic talents. Their pleasure in learning can mean research
and serious scholarship in some of them and fondness for gossip in
others.
MERCURY trine SATURN
Mercury trine Saturn implies those with stable minds, common sense,
and a correct sense of timing. They have organizational and administrative
abilities, and are apt to wander effortlessly into many situations
in life in which they can use their intellectual and communicative
skills to great advantage. Understanding structure and purpose is
among their most valuable intellectual assets.
MERCURY square NEPTUNE
Mercury square Neptune indicates those likely to possess artistic
talent and sensitive intellects. However, in trying to implement projects
and schemes, they may have trouble being recognized for their contributions
or ideas, or continually run into difficulty due to their lack of
organization. They may adopt an unrealistic approach that makes it
hard for others to implement their ideas on a practical level.
HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and
unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your
health, and physical fitness.
AQUARIUS on 6th HOUSE
Aquarius ruling the sixth house indicates those with the need for
working environments that allow maximum independence. The ideal situation
is to work for themselves, but if that isn't possible, the next best
thing are jobs that let them select their own schedule, and work unsupervised
at their own pace. It can be difficult to sit still for long periods
or be saddled with repetitive, uninteresting assignments. If they
have worked for a while and the challenge the work initially presented
is no longer present, they either quit and go on to something else,
or find ways of altering tasks to make the job more exciting. There
is the likelihood of many job changes. Some changes will be unexpected
and abrupt, but they are also just as liable to initiate the changes
out of boredom and restlessness. Many of them never work at so-called
regular jobs, and many are attracted to very unusual types of work.
The influence of Aquarius implies the possibility of erratic health
and a tendency for nervous conditions. These individuals may adopt
some unorthodox methods of health and physical fitness, or at least
very interested in learning about such unorthodox approaches.
MARS in 6th HOUSE
Mars in the sixth house indicates those who concentrate much energy
and vitality in their work. It indicates mechanical skills, and many
of these individuals are inventors, surgeons, tailors, machinists,
engineers, builders, and inveterate tinkerers. Those with managerial
skills are tireless administrators who know how to extract maximum
efficiency from their staffs. There is potential for them to choose
a line of work that involves an element of risk. The risk could be
physical, economic, or, in the case of those who work with very ill
or disturbed people, it could be emotional. Their work may involve
manufacture or sale of knives, weapons, explosives, or fire-fighting
equipment. Whatever their job, they are happiest in active environments
that offer a wide variety of challenges and tasks. The influence of
Mars also suggests enthusiasm for maintaining health and physical
fitness. If other factors contribute to giving them a high level of
energy, they have no trouble engaging in a variety of activities that
keep them in shape. They must guard against high blood pressure, fever,
headaches, and stress.
MARS opposite JUPITER
Mars opposite Jupiter indicates those who tend to want things to go
their way and will either aggressively seek to run everything, or
avoid handling anything, leaving it up to those around them. They
have well developed appetites for pleasure, and moderation is not
easily accomplished. It is hard for others to present these individuals
with negative situations since they have a low tolerance level for
unenjoyable or unpleasant circumstances. They gain maturity as individuals
by dealing with the negative side of life as well as they do with
its positive aspects.
MARS square PLUTO
The strength of will power, emotional intensity, and physical stamina
of those with Mars square Pluto are usually enough to get them out
in front. What may cause them to fall behind again, however, is being
too aggressive or threatening. They are apt to have incisive minds,
and know exactly what they want and how to get it. For their own growth
as individuals they learn to avoid giving in to revenge, jealousy
and possessiveness.
SUN in 6th HOUSE
Sun in the sixth house indicates those whose personal identification
is tied to their work, as well as to co-workers or other people for
whom they are responsible. They handle even the most routine tasks
with dedication and pride, inspiring the admiration of others who
are less organized or motivated. Those who can't (or don't) take pride
in their work end up discouraged and bitter. Some of them exaggerate
the importance of what they do, while others fail to accept any work
they think is beneath them. Whatever their work may be, they will
demand tangible payment and recognition of their efforts. Health and
physical fitness are, or should be, important to them.
SUN conjunct MARS
These individuals are apt to have innately restless natures. This
restlessness may be apparent in their constant competitiveness, inability
to settle down, or tendency to practically kill themselves with overwork.
There is a good bit of self-absorption and, though they may not be
intentionally selfish, they can be careless about the feelings of
others. They are apt to get caught up in a certain amount of possessiveness,
jealousy, and quick anger, but these feelings may not last too long
and they are nearly always generous enough to forget the grievance
and quickly get on with other things.
SUN opposite JUPITER
Sun opposite Jupiter indicates individuals who either promise more
than is possible, or are victims of others who do this to them; situations
that lead to disappointment and failed relationships until they gain
maturity and experience to help lessen the potential. If they cannot
avoid the tendency to set unattainable goals, they end up accomplishing
nothing. Overestimation, overindulgence and exaggeration are the inherent
traps associated with this aspect.
SUN square PLUTO
Sun square Pluto indicates those who are constantly running into situations
which call for the use of all their resources. Sometimes they are
unwilling to give up one thing to gain another and, in these situations,
they lose more often than they win. They have the ability to manipulate
situations to their own advantage, and like it or not, this is often
what they are forced to do in order to gain control over many obstacles
that would otherwise prevent them from succeeding or achieving their
goals.
HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures
of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others
tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters,
negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as
well as adversarial.
PISCES on 7th HOUSE
Pisces ruling the seventh house indicates those who may have a hard
time being understood by others. Something about these individuals
may seem glamorous, illusive or mysterious to others, but their true
personalities, physical appearances, or actions are apt to be difficult
for others to understand, clearly recognize or accurately describe.
They may, for example, be seen as being quite different in appearance
by the same people from one time to another, even though they have
done nothing to alter their looks. There may be untimely loss of a
partner, or marriage to someone less fortunate than themselves. Their
marriage partners may be emotionally disturbed, disabled, from a minority
group, or addicted to habit-forming substances. On the positive side,
their marriage partners may have considerable artistic talent as well
as highly developed intuitions. There is possibility for deception
as well as unrealistic expectations in marriage, though there is no
certainty about which partner will be the one at fault. They may establish
highly spiritual or psychically sensitive associations.
HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the
income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes
your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and use material
assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house
also indicates sexual attitudes and behavior.
ARIES on 8th HOUSE
Aries ruling the eighth house is an indication of individuals with
intense energy and vitality when they choose to focus it. Other factors
in the rest of their individual natal charts will have to suggest
the particular areas where they are likely to concentrate their energy,
but it is highly probable these areas will include sexual and financial
matters, and research in psychological or occult subjects. They are
apt to be quite clever and resourceful, with special talent for decorating,
remodeling and renovations of all kinds. Aries influencing the eighth
house may be demonstrated by their interest and ability in financial
speculations and managing joint finances or corporate funds. Either
their, or their marriage partner's income may be connected with insurance
(especially fire insurance), funding for new development and research,
or the sale, manufacture, or handling of weapons or surgical equipment.
HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing,
publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies,
religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits.
It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To
a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health
of your mother.
TAURUS on 9th HOUSE
Taurus ruling the ninth house indicates the likelihood of individuals
who are culturally oriented, spiritually inspired, or philosophically
and intellectually disposed. They tend to think of themselves as citizens
of the world, even if they do not have the opportunity or inclinations
to go abroad. A Taurus influence also suggests they may become judges,
legislators, politicians, clerics, teachers, musicians, artists, diplomats,
or, they may work in advertising, writing or broadcasting. They are
apt to possess strong intellectual curiosity about other people. They
may also develop idealistic or impractical notions regarding religion
and social structures. However, many of them are able to strike a
balance between ideals and practical reality. There is potential for
romance or marriage while in a foreign country or with a person of
a different race or culture. Negative possibilities include individuals
with antisocial, prejudicial attitudes, or, those who have difficulty
with in-laws, or experience unfavorable court judgments.
NEPTUNE in 9th HOUSE
Neptune in the ninth house indicates those who are highly intelligent
but also vulnerable to mental confusion, fanaticism or misplaced idealism.
They may be totally organized and efficient in some things, while
appallingly inattentive to facts and details in others. Depending
on other factors in their personality and background, they may be
a dangerous master of the art of deception or a highly successful
promoter. They are apt to have interest in religion and spiritualism.
Neptune's negative influence includes the possibility of disillusionment,
deception, or illegal activities in a foreign country or involving
foreigners. On the positive side, Neptune's influence can mean that
their experiences with those of another race or culture may be highly
inspirational or spiritual. Neptune in the ninth house implies work
or interest in publishing (especially of occult or religious writing)
or counseling. These individuals are also compassionate judges and
sensitive teachers. A ninth house Neptune suggests a parent (mother)
or a sibling's spouse may suffer from disabilities, drugs or alcohol,
or they may be employed in a job that involves maritime industry,
religion, photography, medicine, psychology, footwear, or those who
are institutionalized, disabled, or minorities. Relations with in-laws,
a second marriage, and court decisions can become confused or undermined
by deception, misunderstandings, or other influences.
MOON in 9th HOUSE
Moon in the ninth house indicates those who tend to idealize relationships,
which can mean they are very romantic but sometimes not very realistic.
Many are adept at foreign languages, promotion, and public relations.
The strongest potential of ninth-house moon is emotional identification
with higher learning whether or not they obtain degrees, with cultural
pursuits whether or not they have artistic talent, with publishing
whether or not they are writers, with travel whether or not they go
anywhere, with religion whether or not they are religious, or with
politics whether or not they run for public office. Their residence
may be connected with a church, university, or in a foreign country.
They may marry a foreigner, or their mother is from a foreign country
or of a different race than the father.
MOON square MERCURY
Moon square Mercury does not indicate lack of intelligence in these
individuals, but, rather, it implies obstacles thrown in the path
of their attempts to learn or to communicate. Obstacles such as impatience,
poor memory, learning disability or physical impediments. Whatever
problems they face, the energy of their frustrations is often what
they use to succeed in overcoming them and a great many other things
as well.
MOON square MARS
Moon square Mars indicates those who usually succeed because of their
energetic and tireless perseverance. If they try ten things, maybe
only one will work, but in the end that one thing will be what matters.
They are inclined to aggressiveness and even rudeness, quick temper,
and the inclination to be too hasty in judgments, allowing their emotions
to overrule logical thought. Once they control haste, anger or impatience,
their physical and emotional energy begins to work for them and not
against them, and they accomplish everything they set out to do.
MOON square JUPITER
Moon square Jupiter indicates those who tend to become too emotionally
involved in situations they should leave entirely alone. Their curiosity
aroused, they wander into these traps at every turn. A poor memory
does little to remind them of the last time they committed the same
error in judgment. These individuals are apt to have great communicative
skills in one form or another, and their ultimate success comes though
developing them.
MOON conjunct NEPTUNE
Moon conjunct Neptune indicates those who can become victims of their
own emotions. Their imaginations can be the source of remarkable creativity
or the means of irrational fears that cripple their actions. They
may be totally insecure but also capable of being oblivious to danger.
Idealistic and intuitive, perhaps even psychic, they may also be foolish
enough to let discouragement or self pity impede personal growth and
progress. Much will depend on the strength and maturity they develop
as individuals.
MOON conjunct PLUTO
Moon conjunct Pluto indicates those with definite likes and dislikes,
and no trouble expressing their desires when it comes to going after
what they want. They do not accept rejection easily, which in any
case may not occur too often since many of them develop formidable
personal magnetism that few can resist. Subconsciously or consciously
they seek to control relationships, and if there are negative factors
in their personalities to support it, they can become jealous and
possessive. They are excellent psychologists, researchers, and investigators.
PLUTO in 9th HOUSE
Pluto in the ninth house indicates those likely to seek advanced degrees
or specialized training in the belief it will give them more control
or power. They want to separate what is relevant from what is not.
These individuals may focus such intense energy acquiring advanced
knowledge or particular skills, they develop little understanding
of how to handle simpler circumstances and problems. If their interest
turns to philosophy or religion, they may become formidable proselytizers.
They may have particular fondness for solving mysteries, puzzles,
and other challenging mind games. By choice or circumstances there
may be secrecy and hidden control or manipulation related to education,
publishing, religion, politics, or cultural pursuits. This is also
true of circumstances related to in-laws, a second marriage, or court
decisions.
SATURN in 9th HOUSE
Ninth house Saturn indicates those who succeed in life by reaching
beyond their immediate environment for new experiences and understanding.
These individuals are, however, apt to be forced by choice or circumstance
to be extremely practical about how they do it. Advanced training
and higher education, for example, are not undertaken as a mere whim
or luxury, or they may have to wait until later in life to accomplish
them. Sooner or later they understand the importance of taking a serious
approach to such matters when they come to rely heavily on whatever
knowledge and skills they have attained. Living in a foreign country
or dealing with those of another race or culture is apt to present
some difficult or burdensome situation for them. Religion can impose
severe limitations rather than spiritual freedom. These individuals
may have significant responsibilities where the job or health of a
parent is concerned. Circumstances related to in-laws or a second
marriage may be long-lasting and stable, though the negative potential
suggests added responsibilities are also likely. Patience and persistence
when confronted with problems in any of the areas just described,
are the keys to overcoming them.
HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals,
public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates
to your father and his influence in your life.
GEMINI on 10th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the tenth house indicates the likelihood of individuals
who want their thoughts and ideas conveyed to the public. Even if
they don't necessarily seek the spotlight, they want a public forum
in which to communicate their thoughts or put their ideas into public
practice. They may do this, for example, by writing speeches for others
or becoming city planners and engineers. They enjoy carrying on mental
pursuits in some public place, or in a public manner, like chess matches
in a park or writing letters to the editors of newspapers. A tenth
house Gemini influence is also an indication of those who have more
than one career, or that there is something of a dual-natured quality
connected with what they do. The negative potential includes individuals
who have difficulty communicating with their father and other authority
figures, or difficulty expressing themselves in public.
HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong,
and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages
earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of
others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business
associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations
and capacity for happiness.
CANCER on 11th HOUSE
Cancer ruling the eleventh house indicates the likelihood of individuals
who develop strong emotional identifications with friends and associates.
Whether they attract a lot of friends or even go out of their way
to retain friendships is not the point here. In spite of the emotional
identification, their friendships are not necessarily long-lived unless
other factors in their personality support the willingness to accept
responsibilities connected with maintaining relationships. They may
have one friend or hundreds, but their emotional identification with
them plays a major role in how they perceive themselves. There is
a strong nurturing element associated with friends which can sometimes
be a wonderful inspiration, and at other times cause jealousy and
possessiveness to creep into relationships. The aspirations they develop
throughout life can be so changeable it is difficult for them to establish
definite commitments and long-range goals. Those who do successfully
accomplish their goals often do so with the strong assistance or guidance
from friends.
HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your
subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or
work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow,
disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry.
It also has connection with the job or health of your marriage or
business partner.
LEO on 12th HOUSE
Leo ruling the twelfth house indicates individuals whose true egos
are not apt to be easily observed by others. In fact, it may be a
determined effort on their part to hide any side of their natures
that seems selfish or too egotistical. Those who are close to them
will know what situations and whom they try to manipulate, but to
the outside world, these attitudes and behavior will not be so readily
discernible. Things that give them true satisfaction, and indeed may
contribute the most to their personal growth, are the private acts
they do for those less fortunate than themselves. If they develop
interest in the occult, the subconscious or dreams it will only be
as a result of their being convinced of the personal power that is
to be gained, otherwise such matters are ignored in the belief that
they are a waste of time. Those individuals who do gain knowledge
of the occult or paranormal subjects are apt to want to demonstrate
and apply their knowledge and skills in public. This influence of
Leo also suggests that false pride is likely to compel them to hide
their private losses and sorrow. The act of revealing what hurts or
bothers them can seem just as painful or as much of a loss as whatever
it was that caused the unhappiness.
JUPITER in 12th HOUSE
Jupiter in the twelfth house indicates those who possess remarkable
inability to worry. They may never even get that far in their thinking.
They simple forge ahead. In troubled or risky situations that make
most people feel concerned, these individuals seem to have a vague
sense that they will somehow be saved, even if the rescue occurs at
the eleventh hour. For better or worse they are encouraged in such
notions since they are in fact, often rescued. Sometimes by unexpected
or unknown sources, and sometimes through a marriage partner or other
relative. On the other hand, these individuals are generous to others
who need their help. Jupiter represents expansive thinking and the
twelfth house does not present a clear sense of reality so they may
never quite be certain of their own limitations and what is possible
and what is not. They can achieve astounding success simply because
no one told them they couldn't. Many have highly developed intuitions
and are interested in occult subjects, the subconscious mind, and
dream interpretations. On a mundane level, Jupiter's influence implies
fondness for gambling, theater, art, and dancing. The ocean or marine
life may also have great attraction for them.
JUPITER square PLUTO
Jupiter square Pluto implies a generation that succeeds through sheer
force of will power. Societal situations which confront these individuals
involve issues of power and control and, as a result, they are forced
to analyze and understand human psychological motivations and behavioral
patterns. How much of this spills into their private affairs is a
matter of other factors in their personalities and backgrounds.
