PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned
with your individual traits.
The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon),
learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and
sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical
energy (Mars).
The second section describes how well you deal internally with the
external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for
happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations
(Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative
ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status
quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals,
morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with
or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government
and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and
distribution of natural resources (Pluto).
SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential
and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about.
It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take,
and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is
your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect
and authority, to impress and influence others.
SUN in TAURUS
As the second sign of the zodiac, Taurus represents the second stage
in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. The first thing
man uses are his physical senses. What he can see, touch, and physically
hold represents the reality of his position. It is why the celestial
heritage of Taureans is to conserve physical resources and possessively
cling to people whom they regard as their own. Their strongest desire
is for personal security. Broken promises or the betrayal of others
are threats to this security. Their reaction to such personal affronts
is likely to be bitter, and those who inflict such abuses will not
be given another chance. Disappointed Taureans can behave in a manner
totally against their own best interests. They may completely retreat
from the world, or, go in the opposite direction and become promiscuous.
Whatever direction is taken, they may end up sacrificing the meaningful,
enduring relationships they really need to feel emotionally secure.
Taureans are stubborn and impervious to changes not of their own making.
However, they are able to accomplish things in life because of their
tenacity in sticking to projects in which others may have long since
lost patience or stamina. The astrological symbol for Taurus is the
Bull and indeed, the stubborn bullheaded nature of the Taurean personality
can be extremely formidable to those who have the unfortunate experience
of coming up against it. On the positive side, their quiet strength
and determination inspires others to trust them. Because they dislike
being unable to rely on others, they are usually very dependable themselves.
Taureans are loving and patient when trying to accomplish what they
think is worthwhile and when dealing with people they care about.
As a rule, they do not enjoy surprises or spontaneous changes. They
are far more comfortable when given sufficient time to prepare for
things and allowed to follow their planned agenda.
Taureans react to what they experience by assessing its possible worth.
That is, before they take physical action, before they sort out their
emotional involvement, and before they reason it out intellectually,
they ascertain what tangible advantages are to be gained from the
experience. What appears too abstract or vague fails to attract more
than their passing interest. They need a definite purpose in what
they do and in relationships they form. Because they don't want to
be unnecessarily burdened, they willingly rid themselves of worn out
items, but only if they cannot find any other way to make use of them.
Venus, planet of beauty and pleasure, rules Taurus, which means that
by nature, people born with Sun in Taurus are tactile and sensuous,
seekers of personal comfort and physical pleasure. By design however,
they are pragmatic with an appreciative eye for both monetary value
as well as aesthetic beauty. They are lovers of nature and natural
things. Their harmony in life is tied to reality and the material
world, but sometimes they get carried away with personal acquisitions.
When they go too far afield they tend to either accumulate wealth
and never use it, or recklessly squander it without improving the
quality or enjoyment of their lives. As a result of their addiction
to personal pleasure and comfort, Taureans can be very lazy as well
as very vulnerable to the unpleasant consequences that invariably
result from overindulging in rich food and other physical pleasures.
Their natural cautiousness saves them from making mistakes, but it
can also prevent them from taking advantage of valuable opportunities.
As a rule, Taureans are physically strong and solidly built. Even
those who are not fat, may be physically more dense per pound of body
weight. Many of them favor weight lifting or other body-building routines
as a way to keep in shape. They enjoy participating in sports that
require strength and endurance. They usually like to putter around
the garden, and readily engage in other outdoor activities such as
picnics, hikes, and trips to botanical gardens or a zoo. They love
music and art and may have considerable talent in these areas. They
often have a pleasant speaking or singing voice. Though Taureans tend
to be rather subdued, they have a lively sense of humor, and enjoy
socializing.
Taurus colors are brown, russet, and turquoise. Vulnerable parts of
the body are the neck, throat, shoulders, and upper torso. Stiff necks,
sore throats, and earaches are common Taurean complaints. The emerald,
a variety of the mineral beryl and as costly as a diamond, is the
Taurus birthstone. The emerald's rich green color is suitably Taurean
since it is the color of money, green pastures, and serenity. The
emerald has a six-sided geometric form. Six is the number assigned
to Venus which in turn, is the planetary ruler of Taurus. Flowers
for Taurus are the rose (red), daisy, lily, and daffodil.
MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency
or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle
relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences.
It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional,
and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment.
It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important
females in your life.
MOON in LEO
Those born with the moon in a Fire sign want to turn their feelings
into physical experiences. They do not initially view their desires
from the standpoint of practicality, emotional commitment, or as lessons
to be learned. Before anything else there has to be action, some form
of instant physical gratification. As lunar Fire sign personalities,
those with moon in Leo are magnanimous and passionate in the expression
of their feelings. Unfortunately, Leo's tendency for exaggeration
can lead to being what others may consider insincere. The excitement
of a particular moment may cause them to sincerely and passionately
say or do things that, unfortunately, may later be forgotten. Pride
is their emotional downfall. They cannot separate emotions from ego.
It is ego that prompts them to consciously or subconsciously dominate
emotional relationships. Others can elicit their cooperation or obtain
their positive response by applying subtle flattery, but absolutely
nothing will be gained by backing them up against the wall and wounding
their pride.
Leo moon personalities can be extremely stubborn. They have purpose,
determination, and tenacity when it comes to getting what they want.
Strongly idealistic, they are capable of great personal sacrifice
for causes in which they passionately believe. Even when presented
with irrefutable evidence that their idealism or loyalty has been
misguided, they may find it difficult to move on. They are very assertive
when it comes to protecting not only their own freedom but also the
rights and freedom of others. They have a jealous nature, though they
are not particularly possessive. When a romance ends, they are more
apt to suffer from a wounded ego than a broken heart. They are likely
to have artistic talent, or at least great interest in art, architecture,
and design.
Women with Leo moon are forceful, materialistic, and preoccupied with
status. However, they are also able to accept responsibilities as
a matter of honor, and behave with exceptional grace and dignity in
the face of insult and adversity. Men with Leo moon can be braggarts
who always want the last word. They have endless schemes and grandiose
plans as they seek all the good things in life. When good fortune
does come their way, they are usually very generous in sharing it
with others.
MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way
you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information.
It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical
skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get
where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all
possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?
MERCURY in TAURUS
Individuals with Mercury in Taurus don't usually jump to conclusions
or easily accept new ideas. Their thinking is structured and conservative,
but their ideas are likely to be practical and constructive. If they
believe an idea or method has no value, they abandon it for more useful
endeavors. The stubborn nature of Taurus implies an ability in these
individuals to develop great powers of concentration. However, unless
they accept the need to learn in the first place, they obstinately
refuse to concentrate or be taught. Their most productive approach
to learning is through practical application. Once they see the practicality
of something, they are motivated to learn the theory behind it. When
it comes to the matter of learning and transportation they don't care
to waste too much time. However, haste in getting where they are going
is not as much of a goal as being able to take the most direct route.
VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic
tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions
at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance,
marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit
of pleasure.
VENUS in GEMINI
Individuals with natal Venus in Gemini are some of the most accomplished
flirts in the zodiac. It would be a mistake to accuse them of being
emotionally shallow because other factors can more accurately account
for the depth of their emotional commitment. However, in purely social
situations, these individuals are remarkably adept. The influence
of Gemini indicates their physical pleasure in relationships is never
as great as the intellectual stimulation derived from them. Excellent
speakers and ad-libbers, their social instincts are more geared to
sharing ideas and picking up all kinds of interesting information
than intense physical or emotional encounters. They find inspiration
in maintaining a wide variety of relationships with people from different
backgrounds and experiences.
MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength
and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your
emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills.
It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations,
and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.
MARS in PISCES
The energy of those with Mars in Pisces is highly influenced by their
emotional state and, too often, at the mercy of the environment in
which they operate. They can easily be inspired as well as inspiring,
and many possess outstanding creative and artistic talent. Their instinctive
reactions are keen, as is their power of turning abstract concepts
into reality. The problem they invariably face is that they find it
difficult to accomplish things either because they are too lazy, or
lack the necessary confidence to act. As a result, they can waste
their talents and skills for want of a good push to get started. Many
develop an inner strength that is remarkable. As if to confront potential
physical weakness, they engage in high-risk activities.
JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels;
physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation
of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism
and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.
JUPITER in SCORPIO
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Scorpio have intense emotional desires
and interests. Their capacity for growth and expansion is on an emotional
level. Unfortunately, with Scorpio there is also a tendency for manipulation
and they may engage in this practice without fully realizing its destructive
potential. As Jupiter's zeal overwhelms the reasonableness of moderation,
they can lapse into fanaticism. These individuals are often remarkable
in their ability to understand nature and its elementary forces. Many
are gourmets as well as gourmands.
SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are
apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does
not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good
fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and
meaning.
SATURN in TAURUS
Individuals with natal Saturn in Taurus find it difficult to do something
for nothing. They need tangible thanks and appreciation. They have
to measure themselves; who they are, what they do, and what they have
in relation to the rest of the world. One way or another life presents
them with situations in which they regret that a more spiritual or
philosophical approach was not or could not be used in measuring their
own worth or the relative worth of others.
URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality
of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people
as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures.
Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking
about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people
with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence
of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications
of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the
aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes
areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be
different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique.
Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as
is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers,
and the media.
URANUS in CAPRICORN
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Capricorn
confront revolutionary changes in traditional institutions and political
ideologies, as well as major changes in business and industry. Other
factors will determine how far-reaching these changes will be, but
these individuals seek to reorganize in order to improve efficiency.
They get rid of what is wasteful or mismanaged.
NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of
society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are
glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism,
and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years,
taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs.
Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign
and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign
is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's
house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your
natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion,
disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't
always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and
describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment,
and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.
NEPTUNE in CANCER
The most recent period of Neptune in Cancer was 1901-1916 and there
are many Cancerian associations with this period. For example, Cancer
rules the stomach and food in general. In 1901 a deranged anarchist
shot President McKinley in the stomach. In 1909 the portly 300-pound
William Taft was inaugurated. During this period the United States
Congress passed the Meat Inspection Act and the Pure Food and Drug
Act.
PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all
twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve
years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like
atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction
of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence
in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your
personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house
position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope.
Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously
or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also
linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes
the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.
PLUTO in GEMINI
Pluto's last period in Gemini was 1882-1912. Gemini rules communication
and transportation. During Pluto's transit there were fantastic achievements
in these areas. The first subway was built in London, the first automatic
telephone switchboard was introduced, Marconi invented radio telegraphy,
and Zeppelin built his airship.
PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope.
The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily
basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances
you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality
and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.
HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is
also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality
and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health
and the type of illnesses you may experience.
SAGITTARIUS ASCENDANT
A Sagittarius Ascendant indicates individuals with a certain type
of flexible personality that works well for them. Because of their
need for independence and freedom, they are apt to constantly put
themselves in changing circumstances and different environments. Such
changes would, in turn, require a certain amount of adaptability.
Many of these individuals put marriage off until later in life or
skip it altogether unless they find understanding partners who do
not attempt to be possessive or confine them. Once such an acceptable
marriage arrangement is made however, they adapt and are stable, loyal
spouses.
They are full of energetic enthusiasm. However, their enthusiasm is
not necessarily always accompanied by unflagging physical energy.
They may, in fact, tend to be lazy unless highly motivated to perform.
It is often difficult to engage in boring routine exercise and in
spite of their innate restlessness and propensity for rushing around
in a myriad of activities, they are quite capable of being unwilling
(or unable) to keep themselves trim and in good physical shape. Though
often rash and hasty their passions are sincere and inspirational.
Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, planet of inspiration, wisdom, good
fortune, and abundance. These individuals are apt to be spiritually
or philosophically oriented, talkative, intellectually curious, and,
at times, perhaps a bit too impressed with status and wealth. Their
natural exuberance and generosity are responsible for unrestrained
abundance. Like those with Gemini Ascendants, they are apt to demonstrate
any one of a wide range of orientations and abilities, from being
great teachers, writers, scholars or researchers all the way down
to those who engage in the flimflam of con artists and the intellectual
emptiness of merely copying the originality and talent of others.
They are apt to be very honest, though it is also true that their
too-candid remarks can sometimes be misinterpreted as rudeness. The
negative influences associated with Sagittarius Ascendant indicate
the possibility of those afflicted with a tendency for self-indulgence
which makes them pompous, grossly overweight, dependent on drugs or
alcohol, or too opinionated and cynical. On the positive side, Sagittarius
indicates love of drama and the theater, good food and drink, dancing,
sports, animals, and, as a rule, they never miss an opportunity to
travel. They are likely to be involved with publishing, education,
religion, art, or music, either as a profession or hobby.
HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary
income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates
the values and priorities you establish throughout life.
CAPRICORN on 2nd HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the second house is not an indication of great wealth
nor does it imply a lack of wealth. It indicates individuals whose
material assets, values and priorities are likely to be a constant
source of concern. However, worry over money may be what motivates
them to acquire enough income that poverty never becomes a reality.
There is also potential that some of these individuals will rebel
against monetary restrictions, and, valuing the pleasures of life
more than security, they waste their resources. Even in those who
are miserly, or at least very conservative about spending money, there
are conflicting patterns of behavior to which they may fall victim.
Appropriate to the old adage of being "penny wise and pound foolish,
" they can be foolishly extravagant when it was unnecessary and excessively
prudent when a more generous attitude would have been wise. This behavior
applies to more than just money. Their biggest fear, for example,
may be that others will take advantage of their time and talents.
Establishing the correct values and priorities, and reacting to monetary
advantages, or disadvantages, as the case may be, are life's biggest
challenges.
URANUS in 2nd HOUSE
Uranus in the second house indicates those whose material assets are
vulnerable to sudden change. This implies the improvement of monetary
circumstances for those with little wealth, and the danger of loss
for those with many assets. Their attitude toward spending can vary
considerably from one time to the next. Unlikely to be dedicated to
earning money for its own sake, they are more interested in the personal
freedom that money can buy. Their income may be related to a fraternal
organization, or earned through the help and influence of friends.
Their livelihood may come from an unorthodox or unusual line of work,
or through more mundane areas that involve computers, research and
development, antiques, international finance, medicine, television,
or social work. Other potentials for Uranus in the second house include
those whose priorities and values are unorthodox or radical, and those
whose established values and priorities are altered by an unexpected
event or change in their life. Among the things these individuals
value the most are freedom and friendship.
MARS in 2nd HOUSE
Mars in the second house indicates those who exert more energy and
enthusiasm in what they do to earn money than in the actual pursuit
of money for its own sake. They are apt to be more enthusiastic spenders
than savers. If they do develop the love of wealth for its own sake,
they can become so passionately dedicated to the accumulation of money,
they never stop to spend it or enjoy any of the advantages it can
provide. The influence of Mars in the second house suggests that assets
may come through men or a particular male influence. Income for these
individuals may also be derived through Mars-ruled enterprises such
as manufacturing, sports, armed forces, fire fighting, and physical
labor rather than mental endeavors. Mars represents animated life.
Whether or not they are conscious of it, these individuals value energy
and vitality as desirable assets and are attracted to these qualities
in others. Unless others factors in their personality subdue the restless
influence of Mars, they find it difficult to enjoy doing absolutely
nothing. They want to spend their energies as easily as they spend
their money.
MARS trine JUPITER
Mars trine Jupiter indicates those with the capacity to enjoy the
good life. They are lucky whether or not they deserve it; enjoying
what some refer to as blind luck. They may not be physically lazy
but are often given an easy way out of things. If they are not wealthy,
they often manage to be taken care of by those with more means. Sharp
wit and being around when good things happen is how these individuals
progress in status or career.
MARS sextile SATURN
Mars sextile Saturn indicates those with a good sense of timing. They
often know exactly when to act, or in some cases, when not to act.
They are apt to receive opportunities to get ahead in business, construction,
real estate, management, banking, or property management and development.
They are good at aggressively planning and promoting their own interests
as well as others. Those with organizational skills are excellent
administrators, instructors and trainers.
HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation,
self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity
and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It
indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within
your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also
describes the job or health of your father.
PISCES on 3rd HOUSE
Pisces ruling the third house indicates those with developed intuitions
and special interest in spiritual matters and occult subjects. They
are apt to have high intelligence but also mental laziness, an unwillingness
to explore areas of thought that appear to be too much work. A parent,
in most cases the father, is apt to be employed in fishing or maritime
industries, chemistry, photography, medicine (especially homeopathy,
podiatry, or cosmetic surgery), psychology, areas involving feet which
could mean working in a shoe store to being a dancer, or areas that
involve minority groups, the disabled or institutionalized. He may
suffer hypochondria, mental confusion, or hard to diagnose illness.
Pisces ruling the third house may also mean individuals who are particularly
sensitive even clairvoyant with siblings. There is also the possibility
of loss of siblings, or siblings with drug dependencies. Illegal drugs
may be used or sold by neighbors. There can be mental confusion, and
it helps if these individuals spend a certain amount of time alone
or in quiet environments, especially near the ocean. They like to
use a pet name or alias, and (unless they develop a fear of water)
enjoy travel by boat.
HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and
family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning
as well as the end of various cycles in your life.
ARIES on 4th HOUSE
Aries ruling the fourth house indicates individuals whose energy and
vitality are primarily linked to family or to some aspect of home
or domestic life. This description can have a wide range of potential
outcomes. It may indicate for instance, that their occupations involve
real estate, interior design, architecture, or family counseling,
or, that their business is operated in their homes. The Aries influence
in the case of some of these individuals, may also mean fear of their
parents or that one of their parents, most likely the mother, may
be domineering. There is also the negative possibility of a volatile,
sometimes violent domestic life. Fire is also a potential hazard.
On the positive side, the Aries influence implies very active domestic
lifestyles, and that their homes are likely to be designed or decorated
with a distinctly masculine orientation. If given the opportunity,
they will want to build their own homes. They may be the first ones
to live in a particular area, perhaps as an unconscious reflection
of the pioneering spirit associated with the Aries influence on their
fourth house.
SATURN in 4th HOUSE
Saturn in the fourth house can mean those who are deprived of a parent
early in life. It also suggests austerity and strictness that may
apply to the personality of one or both parents, to the emotional
content of their home, or to physical aspects of their surroundings.
Whatever their actual childhood circumstance or family history may
be, these individuals harbor great concerns about it. As adults they
may be strict and inflexible in their own domestic environment, or
be so negative as to dismiss any notion of establishing a home or
family. Saturn's positive influence includes those who enjoy very
stable family relationships. It also indicates those who live their
entire life in the same house or hometown. The negative potential
includes those who are homebound, unable through illness or disease
to leave their residence. How these individuals learn to handle any
hardships related to home and family is an important key to their
happiness and success.
HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers,
capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children,
and speculative ventures.
TAURUS on 5th HOUSE
Taurus ruling the fifth house indicates individuals with potential
for raising the pursuit of pleasure to a fine art. They are apt to
have merry, sociable and generous natures, with the capacity to genuinely
enjoy the physical pleasures life has to offer. They may be just plain
lucky as well. They may, for example, be very obese but dress with
such good taste they manage to look good anyway, or they are able
to move gracefully despite their size. They are apt to have such wonderful
manners and personal charm others don't notice or become offended
if they happen to overindulge themselves. They may be the world's
great lovers and their conquests don't seem to mind being only one
in a long line of romantic partners. A fifth house Taurean influence
indicates artistic creativity and many of them are talented stage
or costume designers, musicians, artists, writers or illustrators.
They are likely to have wonderful rapport with children, understanding
what activities will amuse and entertain them. Negative potentials
for Taurus on the fifth house include individuals with problems concerning
children or romance, or who have bad luck in speculative ventures.
MERCURY in 5th HOUSE
Mercury in the fifth house indicates those who identify creative talent
with intellectual skill. They are likely to possess talent for writing,
acting, or the ability to impersonate others. Though not above taking
a chance on one throw of the dice, they are just as apt to enjoy learning
the real mechanics of gambling or trading stocks and commodities.
They may even devise unique systems of their own for gambling and
other speculative ventures. They are most likely to be romantically
attracted to those with intellectual ability. Romance may bloom in
their own neighborhood or they may be introduced to a romantic partner
through their siblings. Mercury's influence in the fifth house suggests
fickleness and the tendency to indulge in more than one romance at
a time. It is also an indication they can be overly critical of a
romantic partner or romance in general. They take pride in children's
intellectual accomplishments and enjoy helping them with their studies,
which is also the reason many of these individuals are excellent teachers.
MERCURY opposite JUPITER
Mercury opposite Jupiter is by no means an indication of lack of intelligence.
On the contrary, these individuals are apt to be exceptionally bright.
However, Jupiter's involvement implies the tendency to collect knowledge
to the point of dilettantism. The practical side of things is often
left out of their thoughts. Intellectual snobbery is a temptation
they can hardly resist, but they have an otherwise generous nature
when it comes to sharing information and ideas. Inclination to pay
attention to details is often totally absent but they can see and
understand the big picture.
MERCURY conjunct SATURN
Mercury conjunct Saturn indicates those who may be too formal and
structured in their thinking to give credence to possibilities that
don't fit their preconceived ideas or plans. They are ambitious and
want their ideas to be looked upon as authoritative. Most of them
have very little disposition for engaging in tact or idle flattery,
or perhaps in some individuals, it is lack of understanding of how
to go about more personal and seductive ways of communication.
SUN in 5th HOUSE
While it does not necessarily mean unbridled hedonism, those with
natal Sun in the fifth house have enhanced appetite for pleasurable
activities. They may find it difficult to attain certain levels of
maturity. To attain it, some will repress their desire for even modest
pleasures. Their personal identification is strongly tied to artistic
or creative talents, children, romantic associations, and social life.
There is danger that in order to impress and indulge others, they
will waste talent and resources on luxuries and entertainment. They
are romantic and humanitarian, vital if not always strong, and noble
if not always wise.
SUN square MOON
Sun square Moon indicates those more capable than most in finding
situations and relationships in which they are egotistically satisfied
as well as emotionally fulfilled. However, for such relationships
to be successful they will nevertheless have to make some inner adjustments
of one kind or another. They nearly always succeed once they have
learned that the key to most things they want lies in their willingness
to give up one thing in order to get another.
SUN conjunct MERCURY
These individuals are apt to be very subjective in their opinions
and ideas. Unless they make concerted efforts, their receptiveness
to learning is going to stay primarily limited to their self-interests,
which in turn limits their growth and progress as individuals. It
is hard to separate their own ideas from others since consciously
or subconsciously their egos have a tendency to appropriate everything.
If natal Mercury is in a different sign than natal Sun, there is less
chance of ego involvement and more mental receptiveness.
SUN sextile MARS
Sun sextile Mars indicates those likely to be quick to take advantage
of opportunities that come their way, and not so narrow as to limit
themselves to taking only those that seem to promise some obvious
advantage. Their energetic response is to eagerly grab all opportunities
that arouse them emotionally, mentally, or physically.
SUN opposite JUPITER
Sun opposite Jupiter indicates individuals who either promise more
than is possible, or are victims of others who do this to them; situations
that lead to disappointment and failed relationships until they gain
maturity and experience to help lessen the potential. If they cannot
avoid the tendency to set unattainable goals, they end up accomplishing
nothing. Overestimation, overindulgence and exaggeration are the inherent
traps associated with this aspect.
SUN conjunct SATURN
Inhibitions these individuals feel as adults are likely to have been
caused by austere or restricted childhoods. Whether they end up liking
it or not, accepting it or rebelling against it, their success in
life requires tradition and structure. They are usually very ambitious
and strive for positions of authority. There is too much worry in
some of these individuals, and they tend to be sober and inflexible,
always sticking rigorously to the rules. It may be easier for them
to accept the difficulties in life than to just relax and enjoy things,
without constantly looking over their shoulders for trouble. On the
positive side this aspect also signifies those of great character
and strength, the people whom others come to admire and trust.
SUN sextile NEPTUNE
Sun sextile Neptune suggests those who are apt to have highly developed
intuition when it comes to taking advantage of opportunities. However,
they can be guilty of letting lack of ambition or laziness prevent
them from exploiting their advantages. Many opportunities that come
their way represent the chance to gain spiritual or artistic growth.
HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and
unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your
health, and physical fitness.
GEMINI on 6th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the sixth house indicates individuals who tend to keep
very busy whether they have a job or work in the home. However, it
doesn't mean they always accomplish their tasks. They can, for example,
become involved with too many projects at one time and never quite
get any of them finished. Or they may be preoccupied with unnecessary
details or needless tasks they are convinced need doing. They enjoy
work that involves a wide variety of tasks and frequent change of
schedule or change of scene. The influence of Gemini also implies
they may have more than one job at a time. It also suggests individuals
who work as librarians, writers, researchers, teachers, trainers,
physical fitness experts, or who work in communication, sales, or
with computers. They may work or have interest in geography, geology,
weather, stamp collecting, and travel. Whatever their job happens
to be, they can usually be depended on to generate a lot of paperwork,
reports, memos, and lists.
HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures
of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others
tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters,
negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as
well as adversarial.
GEMINI on 7th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the seventh house indicates individuals who are concerned
with partnerships, contracts, public relations, and the law. They
may end up in partnership with their siblings, or aunts and uncles
on their mother's side of the family. They are also apt to have several
partnerships concerning different enterprises, including the distinct
possibility of more than one marriage. Because they are often unwilling
to give up their freedom or fail to find a partner sympathetic to
this need, they may not marry at all. If they marry more than once,
they will probably manage to separate these events, but bigamy is
not out of the range of possibilities. They can get into long conversations
with practically everyone they meet including total strangers. They
are always interested in knowing everyone else's business, and can
be guilty of engaging in too much small talk or gossip. Many of these
individuals possess excellent memories for names, faces, and facts
about other people. Their marriage or business partners are apt to
be involved in teaching, writing, publishing, or work in advertising
or communications.
VENUS in 7th HOUSE
Venus in the seventh house indicates outgoing, people-oriented individuals
who are diplomatic, charming, and polite to everyone they meet. Without
constant exposure to other people, these individuals can become withdrawn
and unmotivated, because consciously or subconsciously, they depend
on such interactions for inspiration and feedback. However needful
they may be for the company of others, it usually has to be on a one-to-one
basis, since many of these individuals dislike waiting in line and
hate to get caught in crowds. They have the capacity to derive much
pleasure and enjoyment from marriage, though the mere presence of
Venus in the seventh house is no guarantee of wedded bliss. Whether
or not they are married, these individuals are likely to achieve some
of their greatest successes through partnerships and cooperative efforts
of one kind or another. The negative potential includes difficulty
in finding the right partner, and lack ability to cooperate or get
along with others.
VENUS conjunct PLUTO
Venus conjunct Pluto implies those with strong, passionate natures
that can sometimes be too intense for those on whom they focus it.
Jealousy and possessiveness can also creep into romantic relationships.
However some of these problems can be avoided by those who learn to
sublimate emotional drives into creative projects or other worthy
endeavors. Consciously or subconsciously these individuals seek to
control relationships.
PLUTO in 7th HOUSE
Pluto in the seventh house indicates those who feel compelled to control
and manipulate relationships. If they happen to have an aggressive
nature, they are compelled to interfere with other peoples' relationships
as well as their own, not always with happy results. The negative
potential includes those who are victims of manipulation by others
including their marriage partner. Pluto's influence in the seventh
house suggests individuals who consciously or subconsciously want
to gain the first advantage where other people are concerned. They
do not have a strong sense of cooperation or fair play unless factors
in their personality or background encourage them to develop a more
even-handed approach in dealing with others. Pluto does, however,
imply justice in the form of eventual retribution. Sooner or later,
they are likely to get what they deserve, both good and bad. Whether
or not they make a conscious effort to do so, they attract people
who are intellectually superior or who have more power or status than
themselves. Other potentials include those for whom marriage becomes
a continual contest of wills, and joint ventures or other cooperative
efforts turn into power struggles.
NEPTUNE in 7th HOUSE
Neptune in the seventh house indicates those who may have a hard time
being understood by their marriage or business partner, by those with
whom they share joint ventures or cooperative efforts, and by other
people in general. Whether or not they intentionally project such
images, something about them may seem glamorous, illusive, or mysterious
to others. They can unwittingly arouse feelings of fear or jealousy.
However, they are also able to establish highly sensitive or spiritual
relationships. Their true personality and their physical appearance
are apt to be difficult for others to clearly recognize or accurately
describe. On the other hand, these individuals may find it difficult
to recall names or appearances of people they meet briefly, and even
those they may have met several times. The negative potentials include
the possibility of those who experience untimely loss of a partner,
or those whose marriage partner is emotionally disturbed, disabled,
from a minority group, or addicted to habit-forming substances. There
is potential for deception or unrealistic expectations in partnership,
though there is no certainty about which partner is at fault in this
respect. Neptune's influence also suggests a marriage partner with
highly developed intuition or psychic ability, or who possesses considerable
artistic sensitivity or talent. Certain elements of illusion, confusion
or mystery are likely to be associated with marriage or partnership.
HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the
income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes
your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and use material
assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house
also indicates sexual attitudes and behavior.
CANCER on 8th HOUSE
Cancer ruling the eighth house indicates individuals who know exactly
what they want and will go about satisfying their desires with remarkable
tenaciousness. They are not likely to be glib or open about emotional
needs, though when they are sure a particular situation is well in
hand, they can be brutally frank and explicit about what they want.
Others may find it difficult to fathom their true emotions, especially
since they can appear to be emotionally satisfied even when they are
not. They are apt to have instinctual responses and may come to rely
on their intuition in handling finances and other resources. They
may be attracted to mysteries, the occult, and the arcane. Though
the Cancerian influence on the eighth house suggests the strong possibility
of inheritance, it is just as strongly evident that their family and
family connections may be among their most valuable resources. They
are very vulnerable in matters of sex and romance, but there is potential
for great strength as well as selfishness, so in many cases, they
give as good as they get.
MOON in 8th HOUSE
Moon in the eighth house indicates those who know exactly what they
want, and go about satisfying their desires with remarkable tenacity.
They are not apt to be glib or open concerning their emotional needs
until what they want is in front of them, and then they may become
very frank and explicit in expressing themselves. Others may find
it difficult to fathom their true feelings because they so often appear
emotionally self-contained or satisfied even when they are not. If
supported by other factors in their personality and background, they
are capable of being excellent researchers and investigators. They
can be very competitive on an emotional level which allows jealousy
and possessiveness to creep into their relationships. These individuals
may have some special emotional involvement with legacies or concern
with death. The income of marriage partners may be derived from family
trusts, or from work in areas related to women, children, homes, food,
nursing, and family.
MOON square MERCURY
Moon square Mercury does not indicate lack of intelligence in these
individuals, but, rather, it implies obstacles thrown in the path
of their attempts to learn or to communicate. Obstacles such as impatience,
poor memory, learning disability or physical impediments. Whatever
problems they face, the energy of their frustrations is often what
they use to succeed in overcoming them and a great many other things
as well.
MOON sextile VENUS
Moon sextile Venus is largely an aspect indicating an opportunist
approach to interactions with others. These individuals do not necessarily
establish relationships and social contacts with the sole intention
of gaining advantages, but as things usually turn out, they end up
being able to make use of the connections they make. However, there
is enough generosity, wit and charm in their personalities that others
don't seem to mind helping or being used by them no matter what their
motives.
HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing,
publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies,
religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits.
It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To
a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health
of your mother.
VIRGO on 9th HOUSE
Virgo ruling the ninth house indicates those concerned with higher
education, philosophy, religion, art, and foreign cultures. It is
also an indication of desire to travel to foreign countries, being
educated or trained in a foreign country, and earning advanced degrees
in more than one subject. Their mothers may be teachers, writers,
or work with unions, the handicapped, sick, or minority groups. These
individuals are apt to write, or work in publishing, advertising,
sales, diplomacy, the judicial system, anthropology, travel, teaching,
or politics. The negative potential includes the possibility of lacking
the means with which to pursue advanced degrees, lack of ability or
patience to pursue education, faulty memory, trouble with in-laws,
and limited mechanical ability. It can also mean individuals guilty
of sermonizing, demagoguery, or moral righteousness. There is however,
sure to be a measure of intellectual curiosity, and even if they are
prone more to gossip than study, they may still be clever enough to
learn what they need or want to know.
HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals,
public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates
to your father and his influence in your life.
LIBRA on 10th HOUSE
Libra ruling the tenth house indicates individuals who attract attention
because of their physical appearance, artistic talent, position in
society, or simply because they enjoy being in the spotlight. The
influence of Libra on the tenth house is an indication of the need
for these individuals to strike a balance between home and family
and their careers or long range goals. Their destiny is to have both
of those directions satisfied and equally represented in order to
achieve true happiness and success. It doesn't mean they have to have
a career but in addition to family responsibilities, they must establish
(and achieve) personal goals that help them realize their potential
as individuals. The reverse is also true, their careers or personal
goals must not be accomplished at the expense of family relationships.
The negative potential can mean difficult and antisocial relationships
with parents (most likely the father) as well as with supervisors
or other authority figures in general.
JUPITER in 10th HOUSE
Jupiter in the tenth house indicates those who consciously or subconsciously
seek a public forum to exhibit their intellectual skills, artistic
talent, or specialized training. What they know or what they do must
be transmitted to others and so they seek work and activities that
put them directly in touch with the public. Jupiter's influence suggests
special interest or a career in such areas as promotion, entertainment,
politics, art, sales, broadcasting, education, or religion. These
individuals may effortlessly attract the attention of those with power
and influence, and just as effortlessly achieve such positions themselves.
Jupiter's influence suggests the potential for their father to have
wealth, honor and status, and, that he is a generous parent who broadens
their intellectual horizon, and gives them valuable assistance and
advice. The negative potential includes difficulty or loss related
to their father, restrictions imposed by superiors, and frustration
or delay in attaining promotions or other personal goals. It can also
mean individuals who are put in situations for which they are not
adequately prepared, or for which they lack the necessary skills.
JUPITER opposite SATURN
Jupiter opposite Saturn implies difficult times but it is a generational
aspect. Society is continually presented with alternate situations
in which there is either too much or too little, feast or famine,
as the saying goes. There seems no middle ground and no way to escape
this influence other than acceptance and dealing with it in the best
way possible. Those with wisdom and fortitude use the seasons of plenty
to save for the seasons of deprivation.
HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong,
and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages
earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of
others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business
associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations
and capacity for happiness.
SCORPIO on 11th HOUSE
Scorpio ruling the eleventh house indicates individuals who are likely
to find that one of their central themes in life is a constant analysis
and re-analysis of exactly what makes them happy. To accommodate what
may be intense desire to find true happiness, they may attempt completely
new beginnings by making new friends in a new environment, or establish
friendships solely to improve their social status or to gain some
other material advantage. Scorpio's influence indicates potential
for these individuals to regard their friends and memberships in certain
organizations as valuable personal resources that give them a more
powerful personal image. Another strong possibility that occurs under
Scorpio's influence, especially in those with more aggressive personalities,
is the conscious or subconscious need to manipulate and control organizations
to which they belong, as well as their friendships. Those with rather
shy or more vulnerable natures may be the victims, and it is they
who are manipulated or taken advantage of. Whether by choice or circumstance
there is secrecy or mystery connected with friendships and/or organizations
to which they belong.
HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your
subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or
work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow,
disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry.
It also has connection with the job or health of your marriage or
business partner.
SAGITTARIUS on 12th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the twelfth house indicates those with a remarkable
inability to worry. It isn't that they don't worry at all, but they
seem to have a sixth sense that everything will turn out for the best.
In fact in some cases, they may never even get that far; they just
go ahead and take a chance on situations others would never dare attempt.
Sagittarius is expansive thinking and the twelfth house does not present
a clear sense of reality. This can mean individuals who are never
quite certain of their own limitations, and what is possible and what
is not possible. Sagittarius indicates help from unknown or unexpected
sources, though it also implies they may receive help through their
marriage partners. They are apt to be interested in studying occult
subjects and subconscious levels of existence, and many of these individuals
have highly developed instincts or intuition. There is also the potential
for great spirituality. On a mundane level it can mean a special fondness
for gambling, horses, the theater, art, and dancing.
