PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned with your individual traits.

The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon), learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical energy (Mars).

The second section describes how well you deal internally with the external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations (Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals, morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and distribution of natural resources (Pluto).

SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about. It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take, and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect and authority, to impress and influence others.

SUN in ARIES
As the first sign of the zodiac, Aries represents the first stage in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. The raw energy of life itself, which is the first step in being part of the universe, is evident in the character and make-up of Aries people. Babies think of themselves as the center of everyone else's universe. As they grow older, they learn that they are not the center but part of a family group. It is the karmic responsibility of the Aries-born to accept the idea that they are not the center of the universe but part of the larger social order of all men. Aries personalities who do not develop this kind of maturity are demanding and infantile in their behavior. They want what they want, when they want it. The vital life force that is their celestial heritage can either be used to inspire others as well as themselves, or it can be turned inward to reflect only their own selfish needs, and as a result, they fail to evolve as individuals.

Aries people are doers. They set out to accomplish things and are determined to succeed one way or another. The astrological symbol for Aries is the Ram and, considering the sheer force of energy and enthusiasm by which they accomplish their goals, it is not off the mark to suggest that they "ram" their way to success. They must, however, learn the difference between being confidently aggressive--a responsible "take-charge person" on whom others rely to get things moving-- and being rudely aggressive-- a "know-it-all" who is insensitive to the feelings as well as the wisdom of others.

Aries individuals react in a physical way to everything they experience in life. That is, before they assess the practicality or worth of what they are doing, before they sort out their true emotions, and, before they take time to reason things out intellectually, their tendency is to shoot first and ask questions later. Their passionate nature is inspiring and flattering to others, but unless impatience and rash behavior are curbed, their unbridled enthusiasm backfires when they lose interest just as quickly as they gained it. Theirs is the astrological sign of the soldier but in their haste, they forget the practicality of being adequately armed before rushing headlong into physical or verbal combat. They quickly forget frustration and anger. Since theirs is essentially a generous nature, their selfishness is usually a result of carelessness rather than intentional unkindness.

Active, fiery Mars rules Aries and indeed, Aries people are high-spirited, energetic individuals ready to try anything at least once. Courageous, optimistic, and friendly, they are lively participants in the everyday bustle of life, maintaining a frantic pace others find difficult to match. Constant physical activity works off excess energy, and its vitalizing influence is important to their intellectual and creative endeavors. It is usually the energetic Aries who is willing to start projects others would be afraid to tackle. However, it is also Aries who often fails to finish things when too many details demand attention or they simply lose interest. In spite of the physical energy associated with Aries, they are not above using the inability of others to keep up with them as an excuse for their own idleness. If they expect others to provide them with constant stimulation and are unwilling to find their own diversions, they become lazy. Cut off from physical activity, they become depressed, unproductive, and overweight.

They are eager athletes and generous players. They enjoy the challenge of a tough contest, but they can be so stimulated that they become too aggressive. Aries rules guns and weapons, so it isn't surprising that many Aries individuals enjoy hunting. Combative by nature, they also enjoy boxing, wrestling, and most team sports. They are apt to be mechanically inclined and adept at arts and crafts, typing, working with machinery, playing musical instruments, or performing magic tricks. They have a tendency to allow their enthusiasm to exceed their actual ability. Before taking something apart, they don't stop to wonder if they can put it back together.

Aries colors are red and white. Vulnerable parts of the body are the head and face. As a sign of this celestial association, many Aries individuals are born with a birth mark on their head or face. Headaches, black eyes, nose bleeds, and insect bites are common Aries complaints. The birthstone for Aries is the diamond. MOON

It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important females in your life.

MOON in CANCER
Those born with the moon in a Water sign need to establish solid emotional commitments. Before considering the practicality of a situation, and before objectively examining the facts, they react emotionally. They are highly intuitive, though at times it is deceptively self-serving. As lunar Water sign personalities, those with moon in Cancer may have a certain awkwardness in their bearing and approach. Creative and sensitive, they are apt to have artistic talent or at least great appreciation for the arts. They are vulnerable to the influence of those with whom they spend the most time, making it hard to distinguish whether they are expressing their own opinions or merely reflecting those of someone else. They can be extremely passive when it comes to extricating themselves from unhappy emotional situations. They may even cling to such situations after they have managed to find happiness elsewhere. Cancerian moon personalities are dedicated to getting their own way and accomplishing personal goals. Their nurturing nature makes them hospitable, compassionate, and philanthropic. Strong identification with the concept of family makes them treat everyone as part of the family. MERCURY in PISCES

Their mental orientation can be unstable, unrealistic, and overly spiritual. However, they may possess uncanny instincts and remarkable sensitivity to beauty and design. Their passionate eagerness can be inspiring and contagious, but a penchant for undue haste sometimes results in being rude. The combative nature of Aries also means they can be too aggressive in forcing their attentions or affections on others. MARS in CANCER
The emotional state of individuals with Mars in Cancer motivates the direction of their physical energies. However, when they are motivated, their efforts are forceful and aimed at accomplishment. They energetically go after what and whom they want. At times their actions can become terribly misguided by possessiveness or jealousy. The Cancerian influence implies a domestic streak, and many efforts may be directed toward family or domestic activities. They are likely to be avid collectors and savers of everything. JUPITER

JUPITER in AQUARIUS
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Aquarius can operate efficiently within traditional ideas and institutions, while at the same time be receptive to ideas and activities which seem fantastic or bizarre to other people. Indeed, they are apt to experience their greatest personal progress and growth by successfully dealing with situations that involve rebelling against tradition or the established order. SATURN

SATURN in GEMINI
Individuals with Saturn in Gemini find restrictions in communication. They may lack ability or opportunity to acquire or communicate information. In some cases it may be the inability of others to communicate effectively that hampers their own efforts. Disorganization may be the reason that some of them cannot efficiently use information, or, being overly organized, they miss important details. Efforts to turn ideas into action can be restricted. They may be too serious when a light-hearted approach would be more effective.

URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures. Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique. Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers, and the media.

URANUS in AQUARIUS
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Aquarius deal with emancipation and independence. They seek to overcome restrictions imposed by traditional institutions and concepts. Individuals and institutions that fail to make changes to accommodate the new wave will be discarded. However, that which is perceived as having enduring value will be treasured and uplifted to new heights.

NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism, and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years, taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs. Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion, disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment, and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.

NEPTUNE in CANCER
The most recent period of Neptune in Cancer was 1901-1916 and there are many Cancerian associations with this period. For example, Cancer rules the stomach and food in general. In 1901 a deranged anarchist shot President McKinley in the stomach. In 1909 the portly 300-pound William Taft was inaugurated. During this period the United States Congress passed the Meat Inspection Act and the Pure Food and Drug Act.

PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope. Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.

PLUTO in GEMINI
Pluto's last period in Gemini was 1882-1912. Gemini rules communication and transportation. During Pluto's transit there were fantastic achievements in these areas. The first subway was built in London, the first automatic telephone switchboard was introduced, Marconi invented radio telegraphy, and Zeppelin built his airship.

PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope. The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.

HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health and the type of illnesses you may experience.

AQUARIUS ASCENDANT
An Aquarius Ascendant indicates individuals with strong physiques (particularly the legs) and a great deal of physical stamina. They are apt to have a great deal of stubbornness and find it difficult to break undesirable habits and behavior patterns. Independence is a hallmark of their personalities and they tend to be highly opinionated. It is almost impossible for others to convince them to change their ideas unless they become convinced on their own that such a change is necessary.

Aquarius indicates intellectual orientation, and most of these individuals are likely to possess remarkable mental poise. They are rarely frightened or affronted by sudden shocks, surprises, or the abnormal and bizarre. Their particular mental orientation gives them an air of detached interest, and as a rule, they remain unaffected and uninfluenced by such social trappings as status, power, and wealth. They are interested in people for their own sake, not their wealth or status. With a minimum of effort they are able to attract many friends and acquaintances.

Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, planet of upheaval and change, as well as by its ancient ruler, Saturn, planet of restriction and structure. Strangely enough these two very different influences can be compatible in the personalities of these individuals. There is the strong possibility they will experience at least one or more dramatic changes of direction in their lives, many times this happens through some quirk of fortune or circumstance over which they have no control. These changes can occur suddenly and unexpectedly. Though Saturn's influence implies stable, calm dispositions, the influence of Uranus means they are also capable of behaving in quite unexpected ways. It is a mistake to predict what they will do in any given situation. They are often argumentative and love to play devil's advocate. They demand a lot of personal freedom, and when they marry, that need becomes an issue if their marriage partners are too dependent or possessive. They get restless if there isn't enough in their immediate environment to stimulate them physically or mentally. They are keenly interested in the future and have a great interest in the past, but many of them somehow lose track of what's going on in the present, and as a result, they appear out of step with the rest of society.

They are likely to develop interest in science, sociology, music or design. Financial theory is less interesting than its application. Nervous conditions and stiffness or inflexibility of the bones and joints are some common physical complaints they are apt to experience.

MERCURY in 1st HOUSE
Mercury in the first house implies individuals who are very talkative. Ideas and projects seem to take up their every waking moment. Not only do they eagerly communicate their own ideas and information, most of them seem to effortlessly attract information and news from everyone else. Even those with a less talkative nature have great intellectual curiosity and absorb all sorts of information they are happy to share. How deep their intelligence goes, or how thoroughly their facts are gathered and researched, is not determined solely by Mercury's house position. These individuals give an outward impression of intelligence or at least mental alertness, whether or not they are actually paying attention. They find it easy to adapt themselves and their mannerisms to accommodate the prevailing environment. They are very quick witted, and adept at knowing what other people are thinking. As a result, they are often tempted to say what they know others want to hear.

MERCURY trine MARS
Mercury trine Mars indicates intellectual and communicative energy and enthusiasm. These individuals insist on being part of everything that happens around them. Easily bored with routine or repetitive situations, they are anxious to break new ground, and eagerly seek challenges that test their intellectual capabilities and expand their mental horizons. Most of them possess mechanical skills, enjoy traveling, and keep up a constant pace of running here and there within their communities.

MERCURY square SATURN
There is no lack of intelligence in those with Mercury square Saturn, but there may be some restriction or inhibition concerning self expression. They may cling to outmoded principles or be too dictatorial in communicating thoughts and ideas. They may suffer from lack of imagination or the means to express it. Mechanical skills can desert them at times, and care should be taken when operating machinery.

HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates the values and priorities you establish throughout life.

PISCES on 2nd HOUSE
Individuals with Pisces ruling the second house must preserve the things they value or risk losing them, in many cases even before they realize the danger. Unless their background in handling money efficiently is strong, they may find it difficult to keep financial affairs in order. One of life's biggest challenges will be to hold on to their incomes since there is a strong potential for bankruptcy, or at least the steady erosion of assets for one reason or another. Although a conservative attitude is wise, they have a tendency to go in one of two directions. They either pay little heed to finances and live on the edge of debt, or they develop such unreasonable paranoia over the potential loss of assets they can scarcely bring themselves to ever increase their assets through investment. Unless they are extremely organized, or have learned to become that way, they have a hard time setting or sticking to priorities. They may get sympathy, understanding, or monetary assets from the father, but whatever this parent provides it is (in many cases through misunderstanding) not what they may need most of all.

SUN in 2nd HOUSE
Sun in the second house indicates those whose personal identification in life is invariably tied to their material wealth, and just as important, to the prominence of their personal achievements and status. Sun in the second house is not a totally selfish influence. The goals of these individuals often benefit others as well as themselves, as in the case of those who seek to gain public recognition through charitable and philanthropic endeavors. How these individuals handle what they gain or lose, or even if they succeed in getting what they want, is determined by their ego. Goals they seek, priorities they establish, and values they embrace all tend to be what they want, not what is dictated by others.

SUN square MOON
Sun square Moon indicates those more capable than most in finding situations and relationships in which they are egotistically satisfied as well as emotionally fulfilled. However, for such relationships to be successful they will nevertheless have to make some inner adjustments of one kind or another. They nearly always succeed once they have learned that the key to most things they want lies in their willingness to give up one thing in order to get another.

SUN square MARS
Sun square Mars indicates those who tend to be confrontational and aggressive. Unnecessary competitiveness and impatience are often the reasons for their personal disasters. Their egos are too easily affronted and this can be their undoing. However, turning the energy of frustrations into constructive action is what gives many of them the necessary drive to accomplish the things that in the end make them highly successful.

SUN sextile JUPITER
Sun sextile Jupiter is an indication of those who rarely have to search for opportunities to meet others who will help them. They just seem to have an uncanny ability to wander into the right situation with the right people at the right time. The opportunities they are given are usually learning situations, chances to expand their intellectual horizons or promote their thoughts and ideas.

SUN sextile SATURN
Sun sextile Saturn suggests individuals who may have to work a little harder to meet people who can help them, or encounter situations that can help them get ahead. However, with perseverance they nearly always succeed. It also may take a little more time before they either develop their goals or can actively pursue them, but this too merely takes patience and preparation.

SUN sextile URANUS
Sun sextile Uranus indicates that it is difficult for these individuals to create or to maneuver their own opportunities to get ahead. They must learn instead to remain constantly alert and ready to take advantage of whatever comes their way, since these occurrences are unpredictable, appearing suddenly and often from totally unexpected sources.

VENUS in 2nd HOUSE
Venus in the second house indicates desire for beauty, pleasure, and luxury. These individuals also place a high premium on friendship and social contacts. No matter what the status of their personal income, they are happy and productive when surrounded by beautiful things, harmonious environments, and people they like. In spite of their fondness for beauty and luxury, they are not greedy. Those fortunate enough to possess wealth often balance their personal advantages in life with the generosity of philanthropic endeavors. Income may be derived through such Venus-ruled areas as law, art, music, jewelry or design, modeling, hairdressing, or cosmetics. The influence of Venus also suggests that their income may be earned through joint ventures or a partner or partners. Negative factors in their personality or background can mean lack of ability to derive personal enjoyment from anything (or anyone), and self-denial that leads to miserliness, selfishness, or waste of resources.

VENUS square NEPTUNE
Venus square Neptune implies deception in romance. Infidelity is a big possibility, though it is not certain whether these individuals will be the guilty ones or it is their romantic partners who will be false. They may also be deceived simply by their own unrealistic illusions and expectations concerning romantic partners, and thus doomed to disappointment when such ideals are inevitably shattered. Maturity and a more objective approach helps to overcome the negativity of this aspect and increase the sensitivity and creative talents that are its positive indications.

VENUS sextile PLUTO
Venus sextile Pluto implies those with analytical ability, potential for enhanced intuitive powers, and the tendency to get involved with secret schemes, either their own or those of others. They can be very discreet when necessary. Shrewd observers of human behavior, they use this understanding to gain control of situations in which, more often than not, they emerge the winners.

HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation, self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also describes the job or health of your father.

TAURUS on 3rd HOUSE
Taurus ruling the third house indicates individuals who are apt to be very sociable within their immediate environment. They attempt to establish good relations with neighbors and actively participate in community projects, especially when they are invited to do so and when they know their efforts will be recognized and appreciated. They are apt to have close, or at least very cordial relationships with siblings and there is usually much visiting back and forth. The negative potential for Taurus on the third house suggests the opposite situation may occur and these individuals intentionally or unintentionally become involved in (or even initiate) disagreements with siblings or neighbors. It may indicate a lack of siblings, or that these individuals live in remote areas where there are no immediate neighbors. HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning as well as the end of various cycles in your life.

GEMINI on 4th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the fourth house indicates those who may prefer to work at home or pursue many hobbies at home. They are apt to have extensive libraries or collections of magazines and other factual material. If they happen to be more mechanically inclined than intellectually oriented, home becomes a base for tinkering with all kinds of mechanical devices, the most popular of which are automobiles. Gemini's influence on the fourth house indicates the possibility that as adults they may live with siblings or in the same neighborhood as siblings. They allow their homes to be used for community meetings or other neighborhood projects. The negative possibilities imply the opposite influence, and these individuals have arguments or separation from siblings and estrangements or disagreements with neighbors. SATURN in 4th HOUSE
Saturn in the fourth house can mean those who are deprived of a parent early in life. It also suggests austerity and strictness that may apply to the personality of one or both parents, to the emotional content of their home, or to physical aspects of their surroundings. Whatever their actual childhood circumstance or family history may be, these individuals harbor great concerns about it. As adults they may be strict and inflexible in their own domestic environment, or be so negative as to dismiss any notion of establishing a home or family. Saturn's positive influence includes those who enjoy very stable family relationships. It also indicates those who live their entire life in the same house or hometown. SATURN trine URANUS
Saturn trine Uranus is a generational aspect with a fortunate influence that usually indicates conditions in which society enjoys a healthy economy, a bullish stock market, and relatively low unemployment. Even underdeveloped nations may expect some benefit from this aspect. Individuals born in this generation are likely to personally benefit in some way from these positive conditions in society.

HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers, capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children, and speculative ventures.

GEMINI on 5th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the fifth house indicates individuals who want to identify their creative personality with intellectual skill.
