PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned
with your individual traits.
The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon),
learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and
sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical
energy (Mars).
The second section describes how well you deal internally with the
external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for
happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations
(Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative
ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status
quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals,
morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with
or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government
and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and
distribution of natural resources (Pluto).
SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential
and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about.
It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take,
and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is
your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect
and authority, to impress and influence others.
SUN in AQUARIUS
As the eleventh sign of the zodiac, Aquarius represents the eleventh
stage in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. In Aquarius,
the individuality of man so carefully nurtured in Leo, now becomes
part of the greater spectrum of society as a whole. Capricorn sets
up the structure and rules of society, and Aquarius takes on the role
of making the organizations of society function as the people-oriented
institutions they were intended to be. Aquarians are the original
"organization men" of the zodiac. Their societal orientation, loyalty,
fairness, and objective nature are reasons why they tend to attract
many friends and acquaintances in life. Though they are not above
wanting to live well, many Aquarians are more interested in people
than they are in amassing great wealth or taking on the responsibilities
that invariably accompany such a life style. When they cannot afford
some luxury, they rationalize why they didn't need it in the first
place.
Aquarians are stubborn and resist changing their opinions or accepting
new ideas that they do not like or with which they do not agree. Big
changes in life are accepted as a challenge, but small changes that
throw off their plans are not tolerated very well. The astrological
symbol for Aquarius is the figure of a man pouring water. The water
is seen as mankind's collective consciousness. It depicts Aquarians
as disseminators of the spirit of humanity. Many Aquarians, in tune
with their celestial heritage, are idealists who champion the highest
principles to which humanity can aspire. However they are also extremely
independent thinkers. When confronted with authoritarian demands or
dogmatic principles to which they do not subscribe, they rebel. They
may hesitate to take the initiative at times, but once they decide
a situation or idea is worthwhile, they become involved and aggressive
in pushing it forward. They don't mind being asked to do something
but they resent being told to do it. Those who want to gain their
favor will help share the work load without being asked.
Aquarians react to everything they experience in life with an intellectual
orientation. Before they take physical action, before they assess
the practical worth of something, and before they sort out their true
emotions, they try to visualize it objectively as a kind of mental
exercise. In relationships, their intellectual approach makes them
appear interested but not particularly passionate or possessive. It
does not necessarily mean they really lack passion. When they do focus
their feelings, their passion can be as intense as it is inspirational.
The modern ruler of Aquarius is Uranus, planet of the unorthodox and
eclectic mentality of mankind. The ancient ruler of Aquarius is Saturn,
planet of restriction and structure. Such different characteristics
seem to directly contradict one another, but a close look at the Aquarian
personality shows that both planets co-exist in a strangely compatible
way. Aquarians demonstrate association with Uranus by being unpredictable.
Saturn's influence gives them stability. The two influences generally
mean that when Aquarians suddenly change course, or do something unpredictable,
they are not likely to be acting on a whim or a bet but for some very
practical or advantageous reason. They favor the unique as well as
the traditional. Sometimes they are either so involved with the past
(history and antiques) or so tuned in to the future (spaceships and
neon clothes) they lose track of the present. Exhibiting the stability
of Saturn, they may live unvaried, even boring lives; feeling very
comfortable and secure in such an unchanging, stable environment.
Sooner or later however, they are apt to encounter circumstances that
make it hard for them to know what they will be doing next. They often
adopt life styles and ideas that are counter to current trends. The
odd and unique fascinate them, and they are rarely caught off guard
by abnormal situations and strange people.
Aquarians are good eaters but may not care what's on the menu. Most
of them are indifferent cooks. As long as they can participate with
a partner, or as part of a team they are enthusiastic about sports
and, as a result, may not have trouble keeping physically fit. When
left on their own however, they become lazy and reluctant to engage
in what to them is a lonely series of exercises with which they quickly
become bored. Broad jumping, camping, ballooning, tennis, swimming,
racquetball, and baseball are some of their favorite activities. Science
and engineering, international finance, writing, music, psychology
or social work are areas of special interest to Aquarians.
Aquarian colors are silver, aqua, and purple and the more electric
shades of pink and blue. Vulnerable parts of the body are the shins,
ankles, and circulatory system. Cramps, allergies, sudden illness
and freak accidents are common Aquarian complaints, though they may
also suffer from various nervous disorders. The birthstone for Aquarius
is amethyst. This gem is believed to confer stability and mental poise
on those who wear it. Flowers for Aquarians are the more unusual blossoms
and include the gladioli, tiger lily, trillium, bird of paradise,
and jack-in-the-pulpit.
MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency
or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle
relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences.
It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional,
and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment.
It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important
females in your life.
MOON in AQUARIUS
Those born with the moon in an Air sign usually respond to situations
in a way they think should fit the facts, that is, they act in a way
they think others expect them to act, or they imitate the same behavior
as others. This gives them the appearance of emotional coolness or
non-involvement. Before turning a situation into a physical experience,
and before considering the stability or practicality of the thing,
or even how they may really feel about it, they tend to do and say
what seems appropriate as if it were not really happening to them.
In spite of what appears to be their analytical detachment, most of
them are loving and loyal in relationships. As lunar Air sign personalities,
those with moon in Aquarius can be very sympathetic without being
sentimental. Rarely beset with moodiness themselves, they often fail
to pay attention to it in others, giving the impression they don't
care. Idealistic, optimistic and friendly, they are unbiased and liberal
in their treatment of people in general. Highly social, they attract
friends and acquaintances from all walks of life, social and cultural
backgrounds. They have difficulty focusing attention on just one person.
As far as they are concerned "the more the merrier". Despite whatever
eccentricity shows up in their personality, they are emotionally stable.
Something in their emotional make-up gives them remarkable ability
to calm those who are mentally disturbed or hysterical. When disappointed
or unhappy, they focus on their activities and chores with such aplomb
that others may not even realize they are upset.
Aquarius moon personalities do not want to be rushed or forced into
making an emotional commitment. Once they make a commitment to an
idea, project or relationship, they are tenaciously loyal and dedicated.
Strong individualism and an eccentric nature can make marriage difficult.
Marriage or raising a family rarely changes their established way
of thinking and doing things. Though remaining independent in opinions
and attitudes, more often than not, their attitudes and opinions turn
out to be pretty traditional.
Women with Aquarius moon are often better friends and companions to
their children than traditional nurturing mothers. Their interest
in business or social affairs can distract them from ordinary domestic
life. They may experience sorrow and disappointment in female relationships.
Men with Aquarius moon display little jealousy or possessiveness in
romantic relationships, a tendency that is sometimes interpreted by
their partners as lack of love. Pursuing ideals and mental endeavors
are often more important to them than amassing material wealth.
MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way
you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information.
It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical
skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get
where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all
possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?
MERCURY in AQUARIUS
Those with natal Mercury in Aquarius have a curious, but usually compatible,
mixture of characteristics associated with their thoughts and ideas
and the expression of those ideas. These individuals are stimulated
by unusual or unorthodox methods and ideas, which they are often successful
at fitting into traditional systems. They have respect for tradition,
but are also able to express traditional ideas in an avant-garde or
unorthodox manner. They can be very stubborn and opinionated, while
at the same time maintain liberal, unbiased attitudes. They are inclined
toward design, architecture, science, finance, and, in some cases,
music or literature. In the matter of learning and transportation,
they can be unpredictable and, at times, highly original and unique.
Whatever they do, they always seem to wittingly or unwittingly attract
a crowd.
VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic
tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions
at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance,
marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit
of pleasure.
VENUS in SAGITTARIUS
In social attitudes, behavior, and expressions these individuals tend
to exhibit the essential honesty associated with Sagittarius. Their
sense of social tact and diplomacy can be sadly missing at times when
they blurt out statements that might have been softened by a little
more discreet phraseology. However, those who know them well come
to accept bluntness as part of their charm and appreciate the honesty
with which their statements are intended, rather than the way they
are expressed. Friendly, outgoing and idealistic, they want to enjoy
a wide variety of acquaintances among an even wider assortment of
people from all walks of life and cultures. Uncomplicated friendships
are much easier for them to handle than passionate entanglements that,
more often than not, leave them feeling hurt and confused.
MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength
and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your
emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills.
It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations,
and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.
MARS in CAPRICORN
Individuals with Mars in Capricorn are aggressively ambitious. They
act more decisively and with greater confidence when they are acting
within the limits of what is legally and socially acceptable. They
are also more effective when they know they are being observed, and
when they know that what they are doing commands respect. Rejection
in business or romance is not something they accept easily, and they
continue to relentlessly pursue their goals in any way they think
will work. The influence of Capricorn may mean a certain ruthlessness
in their nature, but that is what it takes to succeed in the fiercely
competitive situations they pursue. These individuals are often the
ones responsible for bringing about greatly needed changes, and establishing
institutions and structures that ultimately benefit many people other
than themselves.
JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels;
physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation
of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism
and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.
JUPITER in PISCES
The personal growth and expansion of individuals with natal Jupiter
in Pisces is often dependent on their ability to make prudent choices
that place them in positions of emotional strength. Emotional sensitivity
implies deep spirituality, artistic talent or psychic ability. It
can also mean emotional dependency, which in turn, results in reliance
on addictive substances. Their optimism can take a wide variety of
forms, from those who exhibit risk-taking behavior that amounts to
a death wish to those who possess the instincts and capabilities of
a successful commodities trader.
SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are
apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does
not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good
fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and
meaning.
SATURN in SAGITTARIUS
Sagittarius is associated with higher education, spirituality, politics,
travel and international endeavors. Individuals with natal Saturn
in Sagittarius encounter limitations and responsibilities in any of
these areas. There is also much to be gained, and they may end up
as acknowledged experts and authorities in their particular fields
of endeavor. Knowledge is not usually a luxury for them. It may be
difficult to acquire purely for its own sake, and it must have structure
and meaningful application. Their spirituality demands the highest
standards but those who become morally righteous are apt to suffer.
URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality
of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people
as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures.
Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking
about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people
with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence
of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications
of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the
aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes
areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be
different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique.
Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as
is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers,
and the media.
URANUS in ARIES
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Aries are
given the energy and courage to explore new fields of research and
technology. They are prepared to accept change for its own sake as
well as other reasons. In turn, this attitude inspires progress. Caution
is necessary however, or in their haste they may destroy that which
was worth keeping.
NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of
society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are
glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism,
and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years,
taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs.
Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign
and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign
is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's
house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your
natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion,
disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't
always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and
describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment,
and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.
NEPTUNE in LEO
The last period of Neptune in Leo was 1914-1929. Leo rules monarchy,
entertainment and art. The Russian monarchy ended, largely because
it refused (in typical Neptunian fashion) to deal with the troubled
conditions that existed in that country. The movie industry saw its
greatest growth and development. The avant-garde nature of Leo combined
with Neptune produced the Dada artistic and literary movement which
in turn, led to surrealism.
PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all
twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve
years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like
atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction
of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence
in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your
personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house
position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope.
Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously
or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also
linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes
the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.
PLUTO in CANCER
Pluto's last period in Cancer was 1912-1939. Cancer rules women and
the family. During the 20's the attitudes and roles of women were
transformed. They demanded greater freedom in society and release
from the drudgery of domestic chores. As a result of the increasing
number of women seeking employment outside of the home, family life
also changed dramatically.
PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope.
The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily
basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances
you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality
and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.
HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is
also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality
and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health
and the type of illnesses you may experience.
SCORPIO ASCENDANT
A Scorpio Ascendant indicates individuals who are likely to have strong
physiques and tremendous physical stamina. They are often far more
stubborn than they seem on the surface, and assiduously stick to their
goals as long as they feel there is a chance they will be successful.
It is difficult to convince them to change their minds once their
decisions are made.
They are emotionally oriented, but their emotional vulnerability is
apt to be hidden unless their natal sun or moon happens to be in Cancer
or Pisces. They are are friendly and while some are rather quiet,
many of them also have far more gregarious personalities and don't
mind being in the spotlight. Rarely do these individuals possess the
sinister or mysterious personalities that popular literature tends
to associate with the sign of Scorpio. They are keen observers and
shrewd speculators.
Scorpio is ruled by Pluto and, secondarily, by this sign's ancient
ruler, the planet Mars. Both planetary influences may be seen in the
personalities of these individuals. They are ambitious, energetic,
and seek activities that are economically rewarding, as well as mentally
or physically challenging. The jealousy associated with Mars and Pluto
is minimal unless other factors in their individual personalities
support such a trait. Many of them possess the cleverness and mechanical
ability associated with Mars, as well as the innate resourcefulness
associated with Pluto. They are attracted to others with strong, magnetic
personalities. They are oriented toward gathering resources of all
kinds. For example, many of these individuals consciously or subconsciously
tend to establish relationships with strong or powerful people in
the belief such contacts may prove useful to them in some way. They
can be quite secretive about personal affairs, a trait that often
escapes the attention of most people they meet. They are often so
accommodating and pleasant that, unless others make serious attempts
to probe beneath their surface, their real personalities and activities
stay hidden indefinitely.
They have remarkable recuperative powers that allow them to recover
from physical, mental or economic adversities that would destroy many
others. When properly focused, their energy is formidable and they
quietly keep going long after everyone else runs out of steam. A Scorpio
Ascendant indicates potential for afflictions to the head and face
as well as illnesses affecting the reproductive organs.
HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary
income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates
the values and priorities you establish throughout life.
SAGITTARIUS on 2nd HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the second house indicates those who would very
much like to succeed on their own. They may work for others but would
rather work for themselves. They value independence, especially in
monetary matters, and will thrive on the challenge involved in making
their own fortunes. The Sagittarian influence is no guarantee they
will end up being self-employed, or that even those who are self-employed
will be successful. It is however, an indication that their income
may be derived through travel or trade in foreign goods and services,
consulting, publishing, theater, education, sports, or religion. The
negative potential of Sagittarius ruling the second house, includes
the possibility of individuals who marry strictly for monetary gain
or acquire money or property through dishonest means, or individuals
who become victims of such circumstances. The influence of Sagittarius
does not necessarily imply great wealth or luck in monetary matters
or inhibit the opportunity for it. But there is implication that these
individuals are very generous with the potential tendency to spend
great sums of money and to waste money as well as other resources.
SATURN in 2nd HOUSE
For those with Saturn in the second house, the biggest lessons in
life involve income and assets. This Saturn influence does not necessarily
indicate lack of wealth. It implies that material assets as well as
values and priorities, are a constant source of concern. Whether they
are rich or poor, these individuals worry about money. Concern with
money, however, is usually their motivation to acquire it, and few
of them ever experience the poverty they fear. They are foolishly
extravagant when it is unnecessary, and too prudent when a more generous
attitude is needed. They may be so wary about being taken advantage
of that they refuse to help deserving people or causes. Some of them
overcompensate for such unworthy suspicions by being too generous,
with the unfortunate result that people take advantage of them. Grappling
with values, priorities, and money- and in the process learning what
is really important in life- is the key to their happiness and success.
VENUS in 2nd HOUSE
Venus in the second house indicates desire for beauty, pleasure, and
luxury. These individuals also place a high premium on friendship
and social contacts. No matter what the status of their personal income,
they are happy and productive when surrounded by beautiful things,
harmonious environments, and people they like. In spite of their fondness
for beauty and luxury, they are not greedy. Those fortunate enough
to possess wealth often balance their personal advantages in life
with the generosity of philanthropic endeavors. Income may be derived
through such Venus-ruled areas as law, art, music, jewelry or design,
modeling, hairdressing, or cosmetics. The influence of Venus also
suggests that their income may be earned through joint ventures or
a partner or partners. Negative factors in their personality or background
can mean lack of ability to derive personal enjoyment from anything
(or anyone), and self-denial that leads to miserliness, selfishness,
or waste of resources.
VENUS conjunct SATURN
Venus conjunct Saturn indicates those whose enjoyment of many things
may be restricted by poor health, debt, loneliness, or too many responsibilities.
Romantic encounters are apt to be with those who are older or represent
authority figures. Common sense and practicality dominate, making
it hard for them to indulge in whimsy. On the positive side however,
they are able to give structure and purpose to artistic endeavors,
which is often the key to making such projects important and successful
rather than merely frivolous or fanciful.
VENUS trine NEPTUNE
Venus trine Neptune indicates those likely to be very fortunate in
their social contacts. If other factors in their personalities or
backgrounds do not interfere, they are caring, compassionate individuals
who go to great lengths to make others comfortable. Many of them possess
musical talent, or artistic and design skills. They tend to form relationships
that sometimes become so close as to be almost psychic.
MARS in 2nd HOUSE
Mars in the second house indicates those who exert more energy and
enthusiasm in what they do to earn money than in the actual pursuit
of money for its own sake. They are apt to be more enthusiastic spenders
than savers. If they do develop the love of wealth for its own sake,
they can become so passionately dedicated to the accumulation of money,
they never stop to spend it or enjoy any of the advantages it can
provide. The influence of Mars in the second house suggests that assets
may come through men or a particular male influence. Income for these
individuals may also be derived through Mars-ruled enterprises such
as manufacturing, sports, armed forces, fire fighting, and physical
labor rather than mental endeavors. Mars represents animated life.
Whether or not they are conscious of it, these individuals value energy
and vitality as desirable assets and are attracted to these qualities
in others. Unless others factors in their personality subdue the restless
influence of Mars, they find it difficult to enjoy doing absolutely
nothing. They want to spend their energies as easily as they spend
their money.
MARS square JUPITER
Those with Mars square Jupiter can often be their own worst enemies
through carelessness, laziness, and bad timing. They act imprudently
when they should keep low profiles, and when their knowledge or actions
count, they may fail to act out of laziness or disinterest. There
are tendencies for procrastination and misrepresentation. However
there is also energy to overcome the difficulties indicated and succeed
because of them rather than in spite of them.
MARS square URANUS
Those with Mars square Uranus are bound to have a quirk or two. They
veer from the traditional path from time to time, or perhaps make
a lifetime project of seeking unusual or alternative life styles.
They are willful and independent, and even those who settle down to
marriage and regular jobs may grow restless and unhappy if too much
confinement or control is imposed.
MARS trine NEPTUNE
Even if they possess a harder side more in tune with reality, there
is also a certain mellow, philosophical, or spiritual sense in how
they think and conduct themselves. They are attracted to people and
situations that appear glamorous, sensuous, or uplifting in one way
or another. Artistically talented with astute intuitions, they often
have the good fortune to be in the right place at the right time and
know exactly what to do, or as the case may be, what not to do.
HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation,
self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity
and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It
indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within
your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also
describes the job or health of your father.
CAPRICORN on 3rd HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the third house indicates individuals whose learning
processes or communicative skills may be limited or frustrated, or
their education is limited. It implies the possibility of lack of
imagination, reluctance of verbal expression, learning disabilities,
and sight, hearing, or speech impediments. These individuals may view
educational tasks as unpleasant or tedious, but later in life they
may be more receptive, even eager, to learn and to communicate their
thoughts and ideas. Another area influenced by Capricorn on the third
house involves relationships with siblings. It can mean, for example,
a great age difference between these individuals and their siblings
and the relationships are necessarily limited by the generation gap,
or it can mean they may have responsibility for a sibling. Another
common occurrence under Capricorn's influence is an extremely close
relationship with a sibling that fosters too much dependence in one
or both of them. Relationships with neighbors may be restricted. The
positive side of Capricorn's influence implies long and stable relationships
with neighbors and siblings, as well as talent and organizational
ability in dealing with ideas and information.
SUN in 3rd HOUSE
Sun in the third house indicates those who assert themselves through
their thoughts and ideas, though it does not necessarily mean that
they seek a public forum in which to express themselves. Much depends
on their individual personality and background. Some are content with
merely keeping personal diaries. Others find adequate self-expression
through artistic endeavors. The sun's influence in the third house
indicates creativity and enthusiasm in communication, and, in some
individuals, a definite tendency for theatrics and the use of hyperbole.
Outgoing or introverted, they are all communication-oriented. Avid
letter-writers, constantly on the telephone, or engaging in one meeting
or another, these individuals are in continuous contact and interaction
with others. They usually possess mechanical, design, or computer
skills, as well as the enthusiasm to develop and use them.
SUN conjunct MOON
These individuals are apt to risk all their money on one horse, so
to speak; the result of impatience with the constant struggle of deciding
whether to follow their hearts or their brains. The negative associations
of this conjunction include repression and emotional isolation. The
positive influence signifies well integrated personalities that successfully
balance personal desires with consideration for others. They may be
opinionated and willful at times but they are also dedicated and loyal.
SUN conjunct MERCURY
These individuals are apt to be very subjective in their opinions
and ideas. Unless they make concerted efforts, their receptiveness
to learning is going to stay primarily limited to their self-interests,
which in turn limits their growth and progress as individuals. It
is hard to separate their own ideas from others since consciously
or subconsciously their egos have a tendency to appropriate everything.
If natal Mercury is in a different sign than natal Sun, there is less
chance of ego involvement and more mental receptiveness.
SUN sextile JUPITER
Sun sextile Jupiter is an indication of those who rarely have to search
for opportunities to meet others who will help them. They just seem
to have an uncanny ability to wander into the right situation with
the right people at the right time. The opportunities they are given
are usually learning situations, chances to expand their intellectual
horizons or promote their thoughts and ideas.
SUN sextile URANUS
Sun sextile Uranus indicates that it is difficult for these individuals
to create or to maneuver their own opportunities to get ahead. They
must learn instead to remain constantly alert and ready to take advantage
of whatever comes their way, since these occurrences are unpredictable,
appearing suddenly and often from totally unexpected sources.
MOON in 3rd HOUSE
Third house moon indicates emotional identification with their primary
education, siblings, and what is going on in their immediate environment.
They tend to be deeply affected by positive or negative circumstances
and relationships in these areas. They need to express their feelings,
though they may prefer to do it in a circumspect manner, especially
if they happen to possess a shy nature. Though endlessly curious,
they have to be firmly prodded along or they remain content to reflect
the ideas of others rather than generating or asserting their own.
The negative potential includes those who are accident prone, have
limited memory, and lack mechanical or communicative skills. The influence
of the moon indicates those who like to keep busy in their own communities
and prefer working close to home. The moon also suggests desire to
write or teach. Living or working near water helps these individuals
to be more effective.
MOON conjunct MERCURY
Moon conjunct Mercury indicates individuals likely to have strong
urges to communicate their feelings. Unless other factors in their
individual personalities imply a quieter nature, they are quite talkative
and will readily relate how they feel about everything. If they are
inhibited in talking about their feelings, they may turn to writing
or some artistic method of emotional self expression. They are highly
inquisitive and attuned to what others are thinking.
MOON sextile JUPITER
Moon sextile Jupiter indicates those who develop (and are given) a
number of valuable sources from which they obtain information, news,
or whatever is required in a particular situation. They may not be
wealthy or lucky until they absolutely need help; then from out of
the blue, help arrives, and they are saved from whatever disaster
threatens. . . at least temporarily.
MOON sextile URANUS
Moon sextile Uranus is often an indication of those with marked intelligence
or at least great cleverness. They may never be prepared to take advantage
of relationships or opportunities because their occurrence is unpredictable.
But their intelligence, or in some cases their emotional instincts,
are likely to be more than adequate to help them take advantage of
valuable opportunities when they do come along.
MERCURY in 3rd HOUSE
Mercury in the third house indicates those who are natural communicators.
Since communication and transportation are the areas governed by the
third house, Mercury's influence here indicates writers, teachers,
publishers, salespersons, secretaries, and those involved in community
projects, mail delivery, telephones, or other businesses concerned
with communication, transportation and travel. Other mental occupations
such as design and engineering are also indicated. These individuals
are apt to have above average mechanical and artistic skills. The
negative potential of this Mercury house position includes the possibility
of speech impediments, hearing loss, or learning disabilities. It
can also indicate those who are very uncoordinated, accident prone,
and who constantly have trouble with mechanical devices. Mercury's
influence implies constant contacts with siblings as well as with
neighbors. These individuals seem to always know what's going on.
They are apt to have a high degree of instinctual understanding. Not
ESP exactly, but what may seem like ESP.
HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and
family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning
as well as the end of various cycles in your life.
AQUARIUS on 4th HOUSE
Aquarius ruling the fourth house indicates the likelihood of unpredictable
or unusual situations regarding childhood, a parent, and adult home
life. These individuals are apt to live a very different lifestyle
or in a different place or area than the one in which they were brought
up. This may be a deliberate choice, but it can also be the result
of circumstances beyond their control. They are apt to spend a certain
period of time living under abnormal or unusual conditions. They tend
to favor unusual designs and architecture and many of them enjoy building
their own homes. Inside their houses their preferences are either
antiques and an assortment of odd or interesting furnishings and designs,
or very contemporary, futuristic styles. In many cases they enjoy
mixing the very old with the very new in unusual eclectic arrangements.
Everyone is welcomed into their homes as a friend, and their residences
are apt to be favorite gathering places for groups and organizations
to which they belong.
HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers,
capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children,
and speculative ventures.
PISCES on the 5th HOUSE
Pisces ruling the fifth house indicates the likelihood of secret romance.
Other possibilities include individuals who indulge in, or are victims
of romantic deception. They may become romantically involved with
someone of a minority group, or who is disabled, addicted to drugs
or alcohol, or works in medicine, the navy, maritime industries, or
areas that involve the feet which means anything from being a dancer
to working in a shoe store. It is also possible that their children
(or lovers) may have remarkable artistic talent. They may suffer the
loss of children, or have to assume responsibility for the adoption
or care of children. There is danger of deception and loss in speculative
ventures. Though it is also possible, if supported by other factors
in their personalities and backgrounds, that they can develop valuable
intuition in this area. If this is the case, they may be very lucky
gamblers, but should never take their good fortune for granted. Vacations
should be spent on ocean cruises or at least near water, especially
the ocean.
JUPITER in 5th HOUSE
Jupiter in the fifth house indicates those with a strong sense of
their own creative spirit. It is more than an abundant expression
of artistic talent, vivid imagination, or abundant procreation. Jupiter
in the fifth house indicates individuals who want to feel somehow
set apart from the world while still a part of it, to associate themselves
with higher spiritual or intellectual levels. However, even those
who aspire to the highest planes of spirituality and creativity are
likely to possess a merry disposition that is not above enjoying the
pleasures and delights of the physical world. The influence of Jupiter
suggests they are likely to be very generous to romantic partners,
having the ability to be a friend as well as a lover to them. They
are attracted (romantically or as friends) to those with a high degree
of intelligence, enthusiasm, spirituality, and a flair for excitement
and drama. Whether or not these individuals become parents themselves,
their attitude toward children is warm and caring, though perhaps
a bit too indulgent at times. Likely to be fond of animals, they treat
their pets with the same doting affection as their children. The negative
potential of this Jupiter house position includes the possibility
of disappointment in romance and speculative ventures, gross exaggeration,
and reckless indulgence.
JUPITER conjunct URANUS
Jupiter conjunct Uranus offers individuals (both privately and as
part of a generation) a society that is in one stage of rebellion
or another; depending on the times, it may affect fashions, religion,
politics, or education and philosophy. Their lives may be heavily
influenced by war, the status quo turned upside down, and the introduction
of a new order and logic in society.
URANUS in 5th HOUSE
Uranus in the fifth house indicates those who may form unusual or
unexpected romantic attachments, or encounter romance in unexpected
places. Romance may begin or end suddenly or unexpectedly. The influence
of Uranus also suggests those who possess highly unique artistic or
creative talent. It is also possible that the children of these individuals
may be quite unusual or distinguished in some way. Women with Uranus
in the fifth house may have difficulty conceiving children. They may
choose not to bear children at all, preferring to concentrate their
creative energies elsewhere. Other potentials include those who seek
unusual amusements, and those who enjoy taking very unique vacations
or vacation in off-beat, interesting places. These individuals may
devise unusual methods for gambling or speculation.
HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and
unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your
health, and physical fitness.
ARIES on 6th HOUSE
Aries ruling the sixth house indicates individuals who concentrate
much energy and vitality in their job or daily responsibilities. They
may also be inclined to pursue health and physical fitness programs,
sports, or animal husbandry. They are likely to have mechanical skills,
which makes many of them inventors, surgeons, tailors, machinists,
engineers, or builders of one sort or another. Those who possess managerial
skills are tireless administrators who know how to extract maximum
efficiency from their staffs. Preferring an active working environment,
there is also the strong possibility they will deliberately choose
a job associated with an element of risk, or work for a security force
or branch of the armed services. Working for, or running a company
involved in manufacture or sale of weapons, knives, explosive materials,
or fire fighting equipment is also well within the potential occupations
of those with a sixth house Aries influence. They are prone to high
blood pressure, rashes, fever, headaches, or stress-related ailments.
HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures
of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others
tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters,
negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as
well as adversarial.
TAURUS on 7th HOUSE
Taurus ruling the seventh house indicates individuals who are apt
to be outgoing and people-oriented. Without constant exposure to others
they can become withdrawn and unmotivated because they depend on such
interactions for inspiration and feedback. They may prefer doing most
things in partnership, and their success in life is often a direct
result of their cooperation with or through the influence of other
people. The influence of Taurus implies a strong element of trust
in their association with others, and that they derive much pleasure
and enjoyment from marriage. It also indicates that marriage, business
partnerships, and relations with others in general, should be fairly
stable and enduring. The negative potential for Taurus on the seventh
house indicates individuals who have difficulty finding the right
partner, as well as those who possess antisocial attitudes or engender
such feelings in others. The influence of Taurus on the seventh house
implies individuals who want to use whatever people skills they possess
in a practical way. As a result, many of them become lawyers, contract
negotiators, agents or counselors.
HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the
income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes
your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and use material
assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house
also indicates sexual attitudes and behavior.
GEMINI on 8th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the eighth house indicates individuals who are apt to
give a great deal of thought to the occult and arcane matters, psychological
and psychic phenomena, and planes of existence beyond physical reality.
They are also likely to be involved in such mundane things as stock
market and commodity investments, tax matters, insurance, or in handling
the financial affairs of others. The negative potential includes individuals
who encounter unfortunate circumstances in these matters, or who get
endlessly bogged down in details regarding them. It also indicates
they may give more time and attention to thinking or talking about
sexual matters than to physical participation. There may have to be
mental as well as physical stimulation for these individuals to experience
satisfactory sexual relations. Many of them can be secretive or engage
in secret communications. They are apt to be quite brief and to the
point. However when their interest is stimulated, they can engage
in endless discussion and analysis, often exhausting the energies
and informational resources of those around them.
HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing,
publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies,
religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits.
It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To
a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health
of your mother.
CANCER on 9th HOUSE
Cancer ruling the ninth house indicates strong emotional identification
with higher learning whether or not they get a degree, with cultural
pursuits whether or not they have special talent, with publishing
whether or not they are writers, with travel whether or not they go
anywhere, with religion whether or not they are religious, or with
politics whether or not they ever run for public office. The emotional
identification they develop is also likely to leave them vulnerable
not only to the influence of others but to extremes in thinking and
behavior with regard to these areas. Cancer's influence presents the
possibility they will reside near a university, church, theater, or
museum, or become educated in a foreign country. It also suggests
their mothers may be of foreign birth or of a different race or culture
than their fathers.
PLUTO in 9th HOUSE
Pluto in the ninth house indicates those likely to seek advanced degrees
or specialized training in the belief it will give them more control
or power. They want to separate what is relevant from what is not.
These individuals may focus such intense energy acquiring advanced
knowledge or particular skills, they develop little understanding
of how to handle simpler circumstances and problems. If their interest
turns to philosophy or religion, they may become formidable proselytizers.
They may have particular fondness for solving mysteries, puzzles,
and other challenging mind games. By choice or circumstances there
may be secrecy and hidden control or manipulation related to education,
publishing, religion, politics, or cultural pursuits. This is also
true of circumstances related to in-laws, a second marriage, or court
decisions.
HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals,
public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates
to your father and his influence in your life.
LEO on 10th HOUSE
Leo ruling the tenth house indicates those with strong egos that must
find expression in some public manner. There is potential that the
father plays a pivotal role in shaping their destinies. They may,
for example, be given special strength or assistance from this parent.
Even in the case of loss or absence of the father, it does not have
to be a negative factor since it can also have the effect of making
them stronger and able to push forward. Other possibilities include
the fact that they may have responsibility for their fathers or bear
a close physical resemblance to him. The potential of Leo's influence
suggests that they will seek to attain positions of great honor or
authority, or lead public lives as actors, politicians, lecturers,
and spokespersons. They may work for themselves or occupy an elevated
position in the company that employs them. Many of these individuals
find it difficult to remain content solely with home and family. Even
those who lovingly (and efficiently) manage family responsibilities
will also seek to accomplish their personal goals.
NEPTUNE in 10th HOUSE
Neptune in the tenth house indicates that whether or not these individuals
do anything to deserve it, they may nevertheless have a glamorous
or mysterious public image. Neptune's influence indicates danger of
being associated with scandal or disgrace, which in turn implies the
necessity for these individuals to guard their reputation. There is
the possibility of abandonment by a parent (either literally or figuratively),
or misunderstandings, secrets, mystery, or scandal connected with
their father or their father's family. These individuals may have
difficulty relating to or being understood by supervisors and other
authority figures, and, as a result, they may fail to get the kind
of recognition (good or bad) that they deserve. Whether or not it
involves the career or profession of these individuals, it is often
part of their destiny to help people less fortunate than themselves.
The career or long-range goals of those with Neptune in the tenth
house may involve photography, the film industry, the arts, religion,
and the navy or maritime industry.
HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong,
and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages
earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of
others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business
associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations
and capacity for happiness.
VIRGO on 11th HOUSE
Virgo ruling the eleventh house indicates those who use friends and
acquaintances as sounding boards and inspiration for their thoughts
and ideas. They are also apt to be involved in fraternal associations
and societies, playing active roles by holding office or serving on
various committees. They are the ones likely to write or publish the
newsletters or official communications of the organizations to which
they belong. Their friends are apt to include those who are in the
field of health and social services, as well as teachers, secretaries,
clerks, writers, artists, designers, and those who are mechanically
inclined. They will have more acquaintances than close friends, which
may or may not have to do with the fact that many of their contacts
are based on mental rapport or for practical purposes rather than
emotional commitments. The negative potential of Virgo's eleventh-house
influence includes the possibility of being too critical of friends,
being taken advantage of by friends, antisocial attitudes, and that
they are too eccentric in their ideas or communication. The positive
side of Virgo's influence is the willingness to accept responsibility
for friends.
HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your
subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or
work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow,
disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry.
It also has connection with the job or health of your marriage or
business partner.
LIBRA on 12th HOUSE
Libra ruling the twelfth house indicates individuals who can be extremely
sensitive when it comes to relationships. This includes not just their
own feelings but how they perceive or understand the feelings of others.
They may, for example, have uncanny instincts concerning the subtle
aspects of handling relationships that may not be obvious even to
those with whom they share such relationships. The negative potential
can mean disappointment or sorrow connected with relationships, and
partnerships in particular. A lack of-self confidence can mean the
tendency to like or even fall in love with anyone who pays them the
slightest attention. Relationships can become a trap in other ways.
They may become victims of those who threaten "suicide or worse",
or, the reverse can also be true and they are the ones to use this
destructive ploy in order to hold on to those who threaten to abandon
them. The positive side of this influence is the possibility of artistic
and musical talent. Their marriage partners may be employed in areas
that involve the law, art, music, or the fashion or beauty industry.
