PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned with your individual traits.

The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon), learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical energy (Mars).

The second section describes how well you deal internally with the external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations (Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals, morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and distribution of natural resources (Pluto).

SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about. It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take, and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect and authority, to impress and influence others.

SUN in SCORPIO
As the eighth sign of the zodiac, Scorpio represents the eighth stage in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. This stage is concerned with an emotional development that goes beyond Cancerian concern with home and family. Scorpio's emotional involvement is not based on love or pleasure, but on the control and understanding of human emotions and the role they play in the mysterious process of life and death. Though all Scorpios do not spend their lives pondering the mysteries of life and death, most of them are inquisitive, probing individuals. They are fascinated with how things work, especially people. Their mental and physical powers of recuperation are remarkable, and truly evolved Scorpios can learn to use their power to help and inspire others.

Scorpios are stubborn and impervious to changes not of their own making. However they accomplish many things in life because of their tenacity in sticking with projects when others lose patience and stamina. On the surface they may seem easy-going, congenial, and gregarious but they are also extremely tenacious with a tendency to manipulate and control. Keys to their success are a strong will and the ability to get to the bottom of things. They want answers and doggedly persist until they get them. Astrological symbols for Scorpio are the scorpion and the eagle. They representative the potency and range of the formidable power and control that Scorpios can develop.

Scorpios react emotionally to everything they experience in life. Before they take physical action, before they sort out the practicality of what they are doing, and before they reason things out intellectually, they express their feelings. Though their emotions are the strongest motivational factor in their behavior, unlike the emotionally oriented Cancerians and Pisceans, Scorpios are not apt to wear their hearts on their sleeves. They consciously or subconsciously want to dominate relationships and rarely exhibit emotions openly. Even when they seem to be open, they always hold back something of themselves. They may not intentionally want to be mysterious but many of them manage to appear enigmatic anyway. They do not like being crossed or manipulated, and react to such treatment with sarcasm and vengefulness.

Modern astrologers assign Pluto, planet of intensity and depth, as the ruler of Scorpio. Ancient astrologers (unaware of Pluto's existence) assigned Mars, planet of fire and energy, as the ruler of Scorpio. Both of these planets can be seen to influence the nature of those born in Scorpio. The focus and concentration of their expressions and personality makes them appear magnetic and powerful. The fiery energy of Mars that is exhibited when they are enthusiastic attracts and inspire others. Their intensity can be overwhelming but also subtle. Their considerable energy is not aroused or employed just to have something to do as is often the case with Aries, the other Mars-ruled personality. Unlike Aries, Scorpio is not openly combative unless it becomes necessary. Their privacy is tightly protected, and others get to know them only up to a certain point. They may not show any sign of inner struggle but when they are after something or someone their determination is fierce. Should they not be favored in the outcome, they are not willing or gracious losers. They are not arrogant and, in fact, are quite interested in others and what others have to say. However they often exhibit a self-sufficiency that implies there isn't much they don't already know.

Scorpios have a strong, competitive nature. With little effort they become exceptional athletes. They want real challenges and will not easily suffer would-be competitors who do not possess skills that are equal to their own. They enjoy sports that require strength, swiftness, and cunning. Body-building, soccer, hockey, hunting, swimming, scuba diving, and spelunking are favorite activities. Scorpio is associated with the mythical phoenix rising from the ashes. This symbol not only represents their own recuperative powers, it also represents their resourceful ability to create something new out of something old or useless. Recycling, and renovating homes and other buildings are typical projects for which they are well suited. Creative potentials include those who are outstanding cooks, writers, designers, and composers. Their shrewdness in assessing value makes them excellent real estate agents and developers, bankers, stockbrokers, and financial planners.

Scorpio colors are red, black, midnight blue, and emerald green. Vulnerable parts of the body are the reproductive organs and excretory system. Headaches, infections, and fevers are Scorpio complaints. Topaz is Scorpio's birthstone. The Roman naturalist, Pliny the Elder, traced the name to the Island of Topazos which, in Greek means "to guess. " This meaning is a fair description of the inquisitive, mystery-loving nature of Scorpio. Topaz, one of the hardest minerals, cannot be cut with a knife. It is yet another representation of the impenetrable Scorpio nature. Scorpio flowers include the anemone, heather, and gardenia.

MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences. It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional, and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment. It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important females in your life.

MOON in SCORPIO
Those born with the moon in a Water sign need to establish solid emotional commitments. Before considering the practicality of a situation, and before objectively examining the facts, they react emotionally. They are highly intuitive, though at times, it is deceptively self-serving. As lunar Water sign personalities, those with moon in Scorpio are primarily led by their emotions. If they are subjected to emotional manipulation or deprivation in childhood, they are not going to reveal their vulnerability by openly expressing their feelings or needs. If they are raised in a non-threatening environment, they will probably emerge as mild mannered, easy to get along with adults. There is no denying the potential for hedonism, possessiveness, jealousy, and revenge in these individuals but not all of them give in to such destructive energies. Those who do are likely to suffer accordingly, reaping their rewards in this life rather than the next.

Scorpio moon personalities do not want to be rushed or forced into making a commitment. Once they make an emotional commitment to a project, idea, or relationship, they tenaciously pursue and hang on to it. Their emotional nature is accompanied by strong will power and amazing ability to overcome adversity. Instinctive understanding of human motivation and behavior gives them an emotional advantage, a conscious or subconscious way to control themselves as well as others. The mistake many of them make is being so intent on controlling others, that they never learn to effectively control themselves. Their stubborn nature makes it difficult for others to convince them to change their opinions and behavior or to break undesirable habits.

Women with Scorpio moon are apt to be shrewd, and when they have high intelligence, it is likely to be brilliant. Their ambition is not so much a matter of wanting great wealth for its own sake as it is their desire to gain power. Men with Scorpio moon can be driven to distraction by situations that offer no solution, and by people who refuse to tell them anything. Their emotional nature is well suited to deal with economic, human, or natural resources.

MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information. It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?

MERCURY in SCORPIO
Individuals with natal Mercury in Scorpio have an extremely keen intellect. The intensity of Scorpio indicates obsessiveness. It can mean jealous protection of their ideas, and in some individuals, a tendency for great secrecy. They tend to equate knowledge and information with power. Once they form opinions, they stubbornly cling to them. Mental powers are not bogged down by sentiment. The emotional element that is present only sharpens their instincts, giving them the ability to read between the lines. It is difficult for others to deceive them. Analytical with a healthy dose of skepticism, they are excellent investigators. What they choose to learn, and where or how they choose to transport themselves is variable, but rarely is it without design or purpose. Whether they move quickly, or slowly with great care, they prefer their movements to be silent and undetected.

VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance, marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit of pleasure.

VENUS in VIRGO
Individuals with Venus in Virgo may be somewhat inhibited when it comes to establishing social relationships. They do however, quickly warm to people who go out of their way to make them feel at ease, those with similar interests, and those with whom they can find some means of personal identification. Even if they are very interested in pursuing a relationship (romantic or otherwise) they are not likely to be the aggressor. When they do go out of their way to form associations, it is usually for practical reasons. Close friendships may be few, but those they do make are treated with care and responsibility. They can miss good times, good friends, and sometimes even romance, because they wait too long for the conditions to be just perfect.

MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills. It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations, and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.

MARS in VIRGO
Individuals with Mars in Virgo possess a number of different kinds of physical and mental skills that allow them access to a wide range of activities. Writing, teaching, health care, interior design, or fashion design are just a few areas in which these individuals may direct their time and attention. They can be very self-disciplined, organized individuals who have no trouble dividing their energy among several projects at the same time. If other factors in their individual natal chart interfere, their sense of detail is lost in disorganization and sloppiness. Efforts to perfect their skills and abilities to impossible levels can be discouraged when they are confronted with the imperfection of reality. They need to develop tolerance for such imperfect situations or they can lapse into an idle and unproductive existence.

JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels; physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.

JUPITER in ARIES
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Aries find the areas in which they experience growth and expansion have a tendency to get out of control. How inclined or efficient they are at keeping control, or regaining control when it has been lost, is determined by other factors in their natal chart. Though they may be able to earn or attract wealth, they also have a tendency to spend what they have, making it hard for them to get ahead. They do not pay much attention to details or limitations, and can easily lose sight of reality but they also have the spirit and faith to make dreams come true.

SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and meaning.

SATURN in LIBRA
Most of the restrictions encountered by individuals with natal Saturn in Libra involve interactions with other people, partnerships, or contractual arrangements. Interactions with others tend to get complicated no matter how fleeting the association may be. They tend to get more involved in situations than they had originally intended to. If something in their development or background knocks them off balance, they may tend to stay away from all relationships. On the positive side this also implies stable and long-lasting relationships.

URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures. Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique. Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers, and the media.

URANUS in CANCER
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Cancer sponsor new and non-traditional concepts of family and domestic issues. These individuals may not want to own homes, or they may be forced to live in circumstances that make it difficult to afford homes. New ways of sharing family responsibilities emerge, as well as new ideas and methods concerning food and nurturing.

NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism, and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years, taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs. Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion, disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment, and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.

NEPTUNE in LIBRA
During the most recent period of Neptune in Libra in 1942-1957 the establishment of the United Nations was typical of the Libran effort to establish peace. Neptune's influence is also evident since the U. N. has had minimal effect in accomplishing its goals. Equality (Libra) for minorities (Neptune) may get attention but real solutions may prove illusive.

PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope. Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.

PLUTO in LEO
Pluto's last period in Leo was 1938-1957. Leo rules the king or representative government. During Pluto's transit of Leo in the late 1600's and early 1700's, John Locke, philosopher of the English Revolution and American Revolution, wrote his famous essays stating that governments existed by virtue of voluntary agreements and their function was to protect the rights of individuals.

PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope. The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.

HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health and the type of illnesses you may experience.

VIRGO ASCENDANT
A Virgo Ascendant indicates the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and different people. The willingness of these individuals to adapt however, is invariably accompanied by a word or two of complaint. Nowhere is the critical facility associated with Virgo more observable than when this sign rules the Ascendant. Always seeking perfection, they find it difficult to accept situations or people as they are. Even if they criticize without totally realizing what they are doing, or without meaning to be harsh, they must learn to be more sensitive and restrict their passion for constantly finding fault. Virgo indicates that practicality and conservatism are prominent characteristics. Though they may be inhibited by flamboyant displays of affection and act excessively puritanical in public, they can nevertheless be quite sensual and sexually-oriented in private. A contradiction in their personalities is that they can be totally organized and attentive to details in some areas, while at the same time be appallingly disorganized and sloppy in other areas. Another potential trait is a proclivity for being health conscious. If their natal sun or moon is in one of the Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces) or in Capricorn (which tends toward excessive worry), their concern with health can extend to the point of hypochondria.

Virgo is ruled by Mercury, planet of communication and mental processes. If intimidating factors in their individual personalities are not present to subdue the tendency, they are likely to be extremely talkative and prone to gossip. They are endlessly curious about everything that goes on in their immediate environment, and at times, they may seem to be everywhere at once. Ideas and projects seem to take up every waking moment. Not only do they desire to collect and communicate their own ideas and information, they effortlessly attract information and news from everyone else as well. They readily absorb stores of information that they are happy to share with anyone who takes the time to listen. Many Virgo Ascendant people are super salesmen, efficient negotiators, and eager travelers. They like to keep busy and useful. Sitting around doing nothing makes them nervous and irritable. They enjoy collecting recipes, postage stamps, and medical remedies. Respiratory illnesses, nervousness, and allergies are apt to be common physical complaints.

SATURN in 1st HOUSE
For those with Saturn in the first house, the biggest lessons in life involve self image. It doesn't matter what circumstances life presents the biggest challenge for these individuals is always themselves. Saturn indicates difficult circumstances surrounding birth and the early years of life. Whatever their childhood was like, these individuals are consciously or subconsciously disappointed by it and with themselves as well. Such inner negativity may result in their denying themselves any personal success or happiness, or they may completely abandon themselves to pleasure and other indulgences as a form of self-destruction. They feel they are unworthy, unattractive and undesirable, no matter what the mirror reflects or what others may tell them. At every turn they are confronted by their own fears and insecurities. How well they learn to deal with such personal conflict becomes a mark of their strength and success as an adult. Saturn in the first house may indicate inner turmoil but by no means does it indicate a somber or colorless personality. On the contrary, these individuals usually overcompensate by developing a cheerful demeanor. They are quite willing to accept hardship and responsibilities, which in most cases, they feel they were born to endure.

SATURN square URANUS
Saturn square Uranus is a generational aspect that implies unexpected upsets in political, economic, and societal institutions. It is not a particularly favorable time for the stock market. Changes in society that accompany this aspect are troubling when they occur, but the events, or the reactions to them, may turn out to be providential.

NEPTUNE in 1st HOUSE
Neptune in the first house indicates those with very little understanding of how their personality, looks, and behavior affects others. Neptune in the first house may add an element of glamor or mystery to their personality and/or appearance, but this is not certain. They may, for example, photograph so well that they look much better on film than in reality, or their likeness on film is so poor that they hate to be photographed. Neptune's influence includes those who are prone to anxiety, especially about their health or appearance. Self-control, never an easy task for these individuals, is extremely important to develop if they wish to avoid hypochondria, addiction to habit-forming substances, or any of the emotional and physical ills that befall those who lack self discipline. Consciously or subconsciously they give an impression of such vulnerability that others instinctively want to protect them, sometimes going to great lengths to avoid hurting their feelings. They harbor feelings of abandonment. No matter how many people surround them, they tend to feel left behind or unwanted. They have a tendency to use guilt as a weapon for eliciting the affections and cooperation of others, but they are also apt to be the victims of others who use the same ploy. In spite of their apparent sensitivity, these individuals are definitely survivors. They possess enormous strength that can take others by surprise. The positive potential of Neptune includes those who are very compassionate toward others. They may also be very spiritual, able to clearly see and appreciate the beauty of the soul. Whether or not it takes the form of spirituality, these individuals can inspire others to a remarkable degree. There is danger, however, that they will insist others accept their ideals.

NEPTUNE sextile PLUTO
Neptune sextile Pluto is an aspect of extremely long duration. The current sextile between these two planets has been affecting generations for the last forty years. This long term Neptune aspect influences on society represents constant opportunities to change the course of existing structures and pave the way for new ones. Those who will live under the influence of the other aspects (i. e. , conjunction, square, trine, and opposition) as they occur between these planets in the future will have to deal with the ideologies and other societal institutions that we have had the opportunities to create.

HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates the values and priorities you establish throughout life.

LIBRA on 2nd HOUSE
Libra ruling the second house indicates individuals who are especially fond of personal pleasures and the beautiful things that wealth can supply. To attain these things they are apt to make full use of their personal charm and physical attractiveness. To them it seems a fair trade. It is possible that their income is derived from modeling, hairdressing and related services, cosmetics manufacture and sales, fashion and beauty consulting. They may be involved in such other Libra-ruled areas as law, art, music, jewelry or the world of fashion and design. The negative potential of Libra's influence can mean those who are not able enjoy anything or anyone. Though the second house Libra influence implies they value wealth and beauty, they also put great value on relationships. Their sense of well-being and security is enhanced when they are surrounded with beautiful things, an attractive, peaceful environment, and people they like. Unless there are negative elements in their personalities, they are not greedy, and those fortunate enough to have wealth, balance their abundant assets by philanthropic donations.

SUN in 2nd HOUSE
Sun in the second house indicates those whose personal identification in life is invariably tied to their material wealth, and just as important, to the prominence of their personal achievements and status. Sun in the second house is not a totally selfish influence. The goals of these individuals often benefit others as well as themselves, as in the case of those who seek to gain public recognition through charitable and philanthropic endeavors. How these individuals handle what they gain or lose, or even if they succeed in getting what they want, is determined by their ego. Goals they seek, priorities they establish, and values they embrace all tend to be what they want, not what is dictated by others.

SUN trine URANUS
Sun trine Uranus indicates those likely to be flexible or at least able to adopt a different point of view to see if ideas other than their own will work. Though their reactions can sometimes be unpredictable, they rarely adopt totally negative attitudes, and are willing to accept almost any possibility. They are apt to be egalitarian in their attitudes toward society, interested in and accepting of all people, regardless of their backgrounds, race, and culture.

MERCURY in 2nd HOUSE
Mercury in the second house indicates those who seek to benefit in some tangible way from their mechanical skills or their ideas and information. As a result they earn income through communication, sales, education, writing, publishing, the design, installation and repair of machinery, travel, or transportation. They are adept at picking up on the priorities and value systems of others. Being able to know what others think is important can be a valuable asset. It makes them successful opportunists, though it does not necessarily imply they are manipulators or exploiters. Understanding and being able to make practical use of networks of all kinds is often their most valuable asset. Mercury's influence in the second house can mean they want (or are forced) to deal with the paper work involved with income and money. This includes those who cut out coupons from newspapers to those who handle financial transactions, loans, investments, bank books and other paperwork for their family; or work as bookkeepers, bank tellers or loan officers.

MERCURY sextile VENUS
Mercury sextile Venus indicates those apt to be mentally alert and highly sociable. Their sense of humor and intellectual curiosity afford the motivation to attain adequate education for whatever they set out to accomplish. Their pleasant, or at least engagingly interesting dispositions, enable them to attract many opportunities for making use of whatever communicative or technical skills they possess.

MERCURY sextile MARS
Mercury sextile Mars indicates those who tend to get around a lot and, though not overly aggressive, are not reticent about sharing thoughts and ideas. They usually learn best through actual physical demonstration and participation rather than by simply reading or listening to instructions. They are apt to find, or go out and create many opportunities in which to physically carry out their thoughts and ideas.

MERCURY trine URANUS
Mercury trine Uranus indicates those with intellectual curiosity and belief in the possibility of almost anything. They develop interest in unusual subjects as well as psychology, social sciences, technology, and medicine. They are apt to be very sociable and love to travel and meet people from many different places and backgrounds. There is little chance they will ever give in to intellectual prudery or snobbish attitude, either in themselves or in others.

MERCURY square PLUTO
Mercury square Pluto indicates those who want to succeed, and success they do attain is likely to result from frustrations they encounter. Their intellectual perceptions are keenly analytical. They know how to go about doing things, and if laziness or some other factor does not interfere, they get what they want. They enjoy knowing how things work, especially the psychology of human behavior.

HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation, self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also describes the job or health of your father.

SCORPIO on 3rd HOUSE
Scorpio ruling the third house indicates individuals with intense powers of concentration. It is not a certain indication they will strive for scholarship, but whatever stimulates them mentally will receive their undivided attention. They are keen observers and miss very little of what goes on in their immediate environments. Scorpio's influence on the third house is no guarantee they will have a true understanding of what they observe. They can, for example, describe in great detail the facts of what they have seen or heard but may or may not really grasp what these facts may signify. Such understanding requires the cooperation of other factors in their individual personalities. They have a tendency to consciously or subconsciously regard information as useful only in terms of the power it gives them over others. The old saying "mind over matter" is particularly true with them. Though they may not choose to develop it, they have remarkable mental ability to persuade themselves (and others as well) that something is true whether it is nor not. They love secrets and intrigue, and are very interested in the mysteries of nature and the mechanisms by which things are able to function.

MOON in 3rd HOUSE
Third house moon indicates emotional identification with their primary education, siblings, and what is going on in their immediate environment. They tend to be deeply affected by positive or negative circumstances and relationships in these areas. They need to express their feelings, though they may prefer to do it in a circumspect manner, especially if they happen to possess a shy nature. Though endlessly curious, they have to be firmly prodded along or they remain content to reflect the ideas of others rather than generating or asserting their own. The negative potential includes those who are accident prone, have limited memory, and lack mechanical or communicative skills. The influence of the moon indicates those who like to keep busy in their own communities and prefer working close to home. The moon also suggests desire to write or teach. Living or working near water helps these individuals to be more effective.

MOON conjunct MERCURY
Moon conjunct Mercury indicates individuals likely to have strong urges to communicate their feelings. Unless other factors in their individual personalities imply a quieter nature, they are quite talkative and will readily relate how they feel about everything. If they are inhibited in talking about their feelings, they may turn to writing or some artistic method of emotional self expression. They are highly inquisitive and attuned to what others are thinking.

MOON trine JUPITER
Moon trine Jupiter indicates those who get away with a lot. They can talk themselves into or out of any situation. Surrounded by, perhaps even responsible for scandal or criminal activities, they may be the only one to escape the consequences. Wastefulness, laziness, exaggeration and taking too much for granted are all potential traits accorded to this aspect, but so are great talent, genius, spirituality, and a bent for politics.

MOON square PLUTO
Moon square Pluto indicates those who may have the unfortunate habit of outsmarting themselves. They are apt to have analytical ability and keen perceptiveness but those traits can sometimes get in the way. Looking for hidden motives or continually thinking there may be something beyond the obvious may simply be a waste of their time. Revenge and possessiveness can threaten the happiness of relationships. Many of them have an instinctive understanding of power, where it is and who has it. Overcoming the need to possess power for themselves they can then set about to let it work for them indirectly, and in this way attain great success.

HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning as well as the end of various cycles in your life.

SAGITTARIUS on 4th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the fourth house indicates individuals likely to be raised in environments that emphasize religion, education, or cultural pursuits. The negative potential of Sagittarius ruling the fourth house can mean either total deprivation of, or overemphasis in one of the areas described above. They may, for example, suffer from having experienced too much concentration on material wealth or social status and not enough attention paid to developing personal character and relationships. It can mean too much religious emphasis at the expense of educational, cultural pursuits, or even physical joys. In the matter of discipline there is hardly room for middle ground, either these individuals receive little or no discipline, or, there is too much of it. On the positive side, this influence suggests individuals whose intellects, talents and skills were encouraged throughout their childhood and development. There is potential that they were born or reside in a foreign country, their parents are of foreign birth, or more than one language is spoken in their home.

HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers, capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children, and speculative ventures.

AQUARIUS on the 5th HOUSE
Aquarius ruling the fifth house indicates those who can expect some romantic encounters that may be viewed by others (and perhaps even by themselves) as unusual or abnormal. Other possibilities include romances that end suddenly, or abrupt separation from sweethearts. There is no predicting their attitudes toward romance and love making. They may be avant garde, or simply take the opposite view from current popular opinion. If for example, current morality accommodates lack of sexual restraint these individuals may be in favor of traditional discretion, and if current acceptable behavior is orthodox, they may be all the more liberal in their views about sexual practices. They may possess unusual or unorthodox artistic talent, unusual entertainment preferences and, they are apt to be entertained by the strange and unusual. Their children may be unusual or distinguished in some way. Women with Aquarius ruling the fifth house often have difficulty conceiving children, or do not bear children at all, preferring to concentrate creative energies elsewhere. Men with Aquarius ruling the fifth house may father children they do not raise, or raise children they did not father.

HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your health, and physical fitness.

PISCES on 6th HOUSE
Pisces ruling the sixth houses indicates those who are apt to find employment in marine biology, the fishing industry, the navy, maritime services and operations, photography, chemistry, psychology, medicine (especially homeopathy, podiatry, or cosmetic surgery), or in areas that specifically involve the feet (which could mean anything from working in a shoe store to being a dancer). Other likely jobs may be working with the handicapped, minorities, or those confined in some way. These individuals are apt to work alone or in isolated environments. There may be confusion related to job assignments, or failure to get recognition for their work. Secrecy, deception and fraud may also be connected to their jobs. Co-workers may be addicted to drugs or alcohol or associated with scandal. They are apt to have idealistic, perhaps even unrealistic, ideas about their jobs. The negative potential can mean hypochondria or illnesses that are difficult to diagnose or treat. Caution is advised with regard to taking medication since they may be sensitive to drugs, medicine and anesthetics.

HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters, negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as well as adversarial.

PISCES on 7th HOUSE
Pisces ruling the seventh house indicates those who may have a hard time being understood by others. Something about these individuals may seem glamorous, illusive or mysterious to others, but their true personalities, physical appearances, or actions are apt to be difficult for others to understand, clearly recognize or accurately describe. They may, for example, be seen as being quite different in appearance by the same people from one time to another, even though they have done nothing to alter their looks. There may be untimely loss of a partner, or marriage to someone less fortunate than themselves. Their marriage partners may be emotionally disturbed, disabled, from a minority group, or addicted to habit-forming substances. On the positive side, their marriage partners may have considerable artistic talent as well as highly developed intuitions. There is possibility for deception as well as unrealistic expectations in marriage, though there is no certainty about which partner will be the one at fault. They may establish highly spiritual or psychically sensitive associations.

JUPITER in 7th HOUSE
Jupiter in the seventh house indicates those whose marriage and business partnerships require a certain amount of independence. Their alliances cannot be bogged down with possessiveness or emotional dependency. Marriage, joint ventures, and partnership with others is likely to broaden their intellectual horizon, increase their economic or social status, and expand their life-style. Their marriage or business partner may tend to propose big ideas and grandiose schemes, and/or be physically above average in size. These individuals may be regarded by others as scholarly, influential, generous, or spiritual, sometimes without much justification for such opinions. Females with seventh house Jupiter often marry men that resemble or characterize their father. The negative potential includes those who marry solely to improve their wealth or status, and those who take their partner too much for granted.

JUPITER opposite SATURN
Jupiter opposite Saturn implies difficult times but it is a generational aspect. Society is continually presented with alternate situations in which there is either too much or too little, feast or famine, as the saying goes. There seems no middle ground and no way to escape this influence other than acceptance and dealing with it in the best way possible. Those with wisdom and fortitude use the seasons of plenty to save for the seasons of deprivation.

HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and use material assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house also indicates sexual attitudes and behavior.

ARIES on 8th HOUSE
Aries ruling the eighth house is an indication of individuals with intense energy and vitality when they choose to focus it. Other factors in the rest of their individual natal charts will have to suggest the particular areas where they are likely to concentrate their energy, but it is highly probable these areas will include sexual and financial matters, and research in psychological or occult subjects. They are apt to be quite clever and resourceful, with special talent for decorating, remodeling and renovations of all kinds. Aries influencing the eighth house may be demonstrated by their interest and ability in financial speculations and managing joint finances or corporate funds. Either their, or their marriage partner's income may be connected with insurance (especially fire insurance), funding for new development and research, or the sale, manufacture, or handling of weapons or surgical equipment.

HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing, publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies, religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits. It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health of your mother.

TAURUS on 9th HOUSE
Taurus ruling the ninth house indicates the likelihood of individuals who are culturally oriented, spiritually inspired, or philosophically and intellectually disposed. They tend to think of themselves as citizens of the world, even if they do not have the opportunity or inclinations to go abroad. A Taurus influence also suggests they may become judges, legislators, politicians, clerics, teachers, musicians, artists, diplomats, or, they may work in advertising, writing or broadcasting. They are apt to possess strong intellectual curiosity about other people. They may also develop idealistic or impractical notions regarding religion and social structures. However, many of them are able to strike a balance between ideals and practical reality. There is potential for romance or marriage while in a foreign country or with a person of a different race or culture. Negative possibilities include individuals with antisocial, prejudicial attitudes, or, those who have difficulty with in-laws, or experience unfavorable court judgments.

HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals, public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates to your father and his influence in your life.

GEMINI on 10th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the tenth house indicates the likelihood of individuals who want their thoughts and ideas conveyed to the public. Even if they don't necessarily seek the spotlight, they want a public forum in which to communicate their thoughts or put their ideas into public practice. They may do this, for example, by writing speeches for others or becoming city planners and engineers. They enjoy carrying on mental pursuits in some public place, or in a public manner, like chess matches in a park or writing letters to the editors of newspapers. A tenth house Gemini influence is also an indication of those who have more than one career, or that there is something of a dual-natured quality connected with what they do. The negative potential includes individuals who have difficulty communicating with their father and other authority figures, or difficulty expressing themselves in public.

URANUS in 10th HOUSE
Uranus in the tenth house indicates those who may unexpectedly attract public attention. Noteworthy activities that bring these individuals into the spotlight are likely to be connected with some impact they make on society, which can mean anything from criminal acts to humanitarian projects. These individuals may also have unusual or unorthodox supervisors. One of the strongest implications of Uranus in the tenth house is that at some point, usually after they have embarked on a particular career or life style, they are apt to go off in a completely different direction. Even if they do not initiate such a switch, some momentous circumstance over which they have no control can turn their life around. The influence of Uranus also implies that their career or activities may be unorthodox, dealing with an unusual subject or requiring unusual skills. Those who follow a more traditional career are usually attracted to medicine, music, communication, teaching, social work, computers, or the media. These individuals may suddenly or unexpectedly be separated from their father, or he may be unusual or unorthodox in some way. They rebel against authority and restrictions. When it suits their long-range purpose, however, they happily embrace more traditional ideas and methods.

HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong, and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations and capacity for happiness.

LEO on 11th HOUSE
Leo ruling the eleventh house indicates those whose egos are expressed through friendships and other social contacts and activities. They are apt to be involved, either professionally or on a volunteer basis, with fraternal associations and organizations of one kind or another. This Leo influence suggests leadership ability, but whether they actually seek such positions or leadership is given to them, must be determined by other factors in their natal charts. They are likely to be excellent managers of organizations but may be inattentive or inefficient in handling their own affairs. They may have great business acumen which leads to personal wealth and status, but they are not necessarily devoted to making use of assets they accumulate. Instead they may remain in humble surroundings that do not require their attention or care. The potential is that they have much broader goals and don't care to be bothered with the confining ownership of many material possessions. Whatever their attitude may be toward having material possessions, they are likely to feel they can never have too many friends, physical pleasures, or amusements.

PLUTO in 11th HOUSE
Pluto in the eleventh house indicates those whose central theme in life is analyzing what makes them happy. To accommodate what may be an intense desire to find true happiness, they make a completely new beginning with new friends and if possible, in a new environment. The fresh start they attempt may be successful, but if it merely represents a desire to run away from unresolved problems or unsatisfactory relationships, they are certain to fail. By choice or circumstance there may be secrecy and hidden control or manipulation related to the role they play in the lives of others, as child, parent, sibling, lover, spouse, or friend. Understanding the necessity of directing energy away from the self and toward a relationship or group effort, being able to work as part of a group instead of dominating it, and focusing on common goals rather than emphasizing differences are what give ultimate influence and power to those with an eleventh house Pluto.

HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow, disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry. It also has connection with the job or health of your marriage or business partner.

VIRGO on 12th HOUSE
Virgo ruling the twelfth house indicates the likelihood these individuals keep many of their ideas and thoughts to themselves. They or their marriage partner may be involved in labor negotiations, teaching, religious counseling, or work with communication or computers connected with hospitals, prisons, charitable institutions, and mental institutions. They are attracted to mental orientations that go beyond the physical planes, such as the subconscious, dreams, and extra sensory perception, but many of them must first be convinced there is a useful application of such knowledge before they embark on a prolonged or serious investigation. Their thoughts and ideas are not always based on logical reasoning but may just as often be the result of instinct or intuition. Sometimes this type of thinking works, and sometimes they need to get a clearer sense of reality. The negative potential implies the possibility of being a prisoner of their own minds with guilt, fear, and self-pity as constant companions. The positive influence implies an acute understanding of the valuable lessons of the past, and the ability to wisely counsel others who are depressed or have suffered loss.

MARS in 12th HOUSE
Mars in the twelfth house indicates those whose job or profession may not be connected with what they really want to do. It is also an indication of working in places of confinement such as hospitals or prisons, or charitable organizations. The influence of Mars in the twelfth house also suggests that the activities of these individuals may go unnoticed. In some cases, they may deliberately attempt to be secretive, while in other cases, their movements go undetected. The twelfth house position of Mars indicates activities that involve the occult, dreams, or the unconscious mind. The negative potential includes the possibility of the loss of a partner, being cheated or deceived by a partner, and unrealistic ambitions and undertakings. The real energy and depth of passion in these individuals may be of a kind not readily apparent to others.

MARS sextile URANUS
Mars sextile Uranus indicates those who have opportunities in life to develop and use their interest and talent in technology, institutional management and development, or unusual subjects such as magic or astrology. It may also be an indication of talent (and the chance to use it) for coming up with clever and ingenious solutions to problems, especially in psychology, law, and finance.

VENUS in 12th HOUSE
Venus in the twelfth house indicates those who enjoy being with other people but may nevertheless be very shy in social environments. Their shyness may develop into serious lack of confidence, and as a result, they fall in love with anyone who pays them the slightest attention. Romantic experiences can trap them in other ways. They can become victims of a relationship with those who threaten "suicide or worse" should the affair be broken off. These individuals may themselves be guilty of using this destructive ploy in order to hold on to partners who threaten to abandon them. The positive influence of Venus includes potential for remarkable artistic talent, and uncanny intuition about people as well as relationships. Venus implies those who are wise, compassionate judges or counselors, creative writers, or gifted poets. They are almost certain to experience secret romance. Their lovers or potential marriage partners may be dancers, reside near the ocean, have disabilities or belong to a minority race or culture.

VENUS conjunct MARS
Venus conjunct Mars indicates those with an aura of warmth and vitality that lies close to the surface. It is very attractive to others though they may not exactly realize what it is that makes these individuals so appealing. They are oriented toward careers or aggressively pursuing other important goals. As a rule they can usually be counted on to have an enthusiastic response to sexual encounters. This aspect also implies those with either talent for art or the appreciation of it.
