PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned
with your individual traits.
The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon),
learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and
sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical
energy (Mars).
The second section describes how well you deal internally with the
external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for
happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations
(Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative
ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status
quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals,
morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with
or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government
and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and
distribution of natural resources (Pluto).
SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential
and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about.
It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take,
and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is
your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect
and authority, to impress and influence others.
SUN in VIRGO
As the sixth sign of the zodiac, Virgo represents the sixth stage
in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. In Leo the
need is to discover and develop man's individuality and creative potential.
In Virgo the need is to find ways to put man's individual talents
to the best possible use. This is why Virgo is known as the sign of
service. For many Virgos, the need to make things better is satisfied
by pursuing careers in health-related fields or in other areas such
as teaching, labor relations, environmental protection, social work,
or religious counseling. Though most of them do have altruistic motives
in helping others, it must also be said that Virgos have a tendency
to act the martyr when their service or counseling is ignored, and
it is not unheard of for them to use guilt as a weapon when they want
to elicit the attention and cooperation of others. Virgos have to
learn that helping others to improve is one thing, but pushing them
toward goals of perfection they cannot hope to accomplish is destructive
as well as impossible.
Virgos adapt to change. This trait is a strength because it is a survival
mechanism, and a weakness because it makes them vulnerable to the
demands and influence of other people. Instinctively responsive to
the needs of others, they usually adapt to different people and changing
circumstances by finding ways to make themselves useful. The Virgin
is the astrological symbol of Virgo and, like the true virgin, most
Virgos are shy. Like a virgin waiting to give herself to the perfect
lover, Virgos are also idealistic. Unfortunately when they allow idealism
to get out of hand, nothing is accomplished. The virgin becomes a
bitter spinster and talents die on the vine. Though intensely personal
situations are inhibiting, there are other situations when Virgos
can be very dynamic. When the spotlight is not directly on them but
on a product or a service they offer, they are excellent salespersons.
Virgos react to what they experience by assessing its practical worth.
Before they take physical action, before they sort out their emotional
involvement, and before they reason it out intellectually, they must
ascertain what tangible advantages are to be gained from the experience.
If the advantages they find are not necessarily useful to them, they
are willing to give them to those who can benefit. Virgos are effective
negotiators. They patiently endure endless details and responsibilities
if convinced it accomplishes an end they think justifies their efforts.
Mercury, planet of the intellect, rules Virgo, giving Virgos an analytical
approach to life. That communication is important to Virgos is aptly
demonstrated by the fact that so many of them are very talkative.
They love books, magazines, and writing. With a critical eye for organization
and detail and their constant search for perfection, Virgos have an
irresistible urge to improve everything and everyone, whether they
need it or not. Virgos are not above using their inability to achieve
perfection as an excuse for their own idleness and unproductiveness.
Out of character with their true nature, these Virgos are sloppy,
disorganized, and irresponsible. What is worse, their own bad habits
do not in the least inhibit them from criticizing others for the same
behavior. Their analytical ability makes them excellent critics of
the talent and performance of those more skilled than themselves.
Virgos need to think that what they do is of a practical and helpful
nature. The worthiness of their self-sacrificing efforts is spoiled
at times however, when they exact tangible proof of gratitude from
those who benefited from their actions.
Likely to be health conscious, many Virgos make an effort to stay
physically fit. If they are convinced that results can be achieved,
they don't mind tedious exercise routines. They enjoy tennis, racquetball,
swimming, sailing, fishing, and biking. As athletes, Virgos are not
overly competitive. Most of them do however, attempt to perfect whatever
skills they do have in a particular sport. They are likely to be talented
craftsman, seamstresses, or designers, and may have particular interest
in such things as cartography, travel, and philately.
Virgo colors are blue, yellow, gray, tan, navy, and lilac. Vulnerable
parts of the body are the sinuses, respiratory system, and bowels.
Colds, flu, allergies, and constipation are common Virgo complaints.
The sapphire, which is a variety of the mineral corundum, is Virgo's
birthstone. This gem was considered by ancient societies as a love
charm. Though they come in a variety of colors and can even be transparent,
the most valuable sapphires are blue. Blue is also the principal color
associated with Virgo. Flowers and plants for Virgo include the aster,
chrysanthemum, ivy, and fern.
MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency
or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle
relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences.
It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional,
and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment.
It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important
females in your life.
MOON in AQUARIUS
Those born with the moon in an Air sign usually respond to situations
in a way they think should fit the facts, that is, they act in a way
they think others expect them to act, or they imitate the same behavior
as others. This gives them the appearance of emotional coolness or
non-involvement. Before turning a situation into a physical experience,
and before considering the stability or practicality of the thing,
or even how they may really feel about it, they tend to do and say
what seems appropriate as if it were not really happening to them.
In spite of what appears to be their analytical detachment, most of
them are loving and loyal in relationships. As lunar Air sign personalities,
those with moon in Aquarius can be very sympathetic without being
sentimental. Rarely beset with moodiness themselves, they often fail
to pay attention to it in others, giving the impression they don't
care. Idealistic, optimistic and friendly, they are unbiased and liberal
in their treatment of people in general. Highly social, they attract
friends and acquaintances from all walks of life, social and cultural
backgrounds. They have difficulty focusing attention on just one person.
As far as they are concerned "the more the merrier". Despite whatever
eccentricity shows up in their personality, they are emotionally stable.
Something in their emotional make-up gives them remarkable ability
to calm those who are mentally disturbed or hysterical. When disappointed
or unhappy, they focus on their activities and chores with such aplomb
that others may not even realize they are upset.
Aquarius moon personalities do not want to be rushed or forced into
making an emotional commitment. Once they make a commitment to an
idea, project or relationship, they are tenaciously loyal and dedicated.
Strong individualism and an eccentric nature can make marriage difficult.
Marriage or raising a family rarely changes their established way
of thinking and doing things. Though remaining independent in opinions
and attitudes, more often than not, their attitudes and opinions turn
out to be pretty traditional.
Women with Aquarius moon are often better friends and companions to
their children than traditional nurturing mothers. Their interest
in business or social affairs can distract them from ordinary domestic
life. They may experience sorrow and disappointment in female relationships.
Men with Aquarius moon display little jealousy or possessiveness in
romantic relationships, a tendency that is sometimes interpreted by
their partners as lack of love. Pursuing ideals and mental endeavors
are often more important to them than amassing material wealth.
MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way
you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information.
It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical
skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get
where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all
possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?
MERCURY in LIBRA
Individuals with natal Mercury in Libra want to see their ideas translated
into money and other tangible rewards. Many of them seek to earn their
living in mental rather than physical endeavors. Literary pursuits
can range from a fondness for gossip magazines to serious studies
in literature and talent for writing. Artistic tendencies include
crafts, music, art or design. Interest in the law can turn them into
court reporters, courtroom spectators, lawyers, or judges. Their objectivity
and unbiased approach works well in impersonal situations but it can
hamper situations where more emotional expression and less intellectual
analysis are required. Their methods and approach to learning and
transportation are rapid and enthusiastic, tending, whenever possible,
to embrace the more luxurious forms. Expect then, to find them pursuing
literature in an expensive car.
VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic
tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions
at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance,
marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit
of pleasure.
VENUS in VIRGO
Individuals with Venus in Virgo may be somewhat inhibited when it
comes to establishing social relationships. They do however, quickly
warm to people who go out of their way to make them feel at ease,
those with similar interests, and those with whom they can find some
means of personal identification. Even if they are very interested
in pursuing a relationship (romantic or otherwise) they are not likely
to be the aggressor. When they do go out of their way to form associations,
it is usually for practical reasons. Close friendships may be few,
but those they do make are treated with care and responsibility. They
can miss good times, good friends, and sometimes even romance, because
they wait too long for the conditions to be just perfect.
MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength
and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your
emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills.
It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations,
and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.
MARS in LEO
Mars in Leo individuals are likely to be very generous with their
time and attention. Inclined toward grandiose gestures and improbable
schemes, whatever they do is usually done in a big way. Sometimes
their energy and enthusiasm are such inspirational forces they are
actually able to accomplish some of the seemingly impossible things
they set out to do. Strong determination is another important factor
in their stunning accomplishments. If they allow stubborn pride to
interfere, however, they can waste valuable time. Their efforts may
be very creative, though they may need to be reminded of practical
considerations and assisted by those more attentive to mundane details.
JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels;
physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation
of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism
and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.
JUPITER in LIBRA
Individuals with Jupiter in Libra are often dependent for personal
growth on the stimulation they derive from others, and the contacts
they make by constant interactions with others. Working in partnership,
joint ventures, and other cooperate efforts is the key to their success.
Jupiter's influence in Libra indicates increased capacity to get along
with, and favorably influence others. It also indicates an inspired
sense of justice. The desire they have for growth is generally in
an intellectual or aesthetic area. To attain what they seek, these
individuals have to deal successfully with Jupiter's tendency for
overabundance and Libra's need to strike a balance between excess
and austerity.
SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are
apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does
not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good
fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and
meaning.
SATURN in AQUARIUS
Individuals with natal Saturn in Aquarius are confronted with situations
that in order to be successful need organization, dedication and stability,
yet must also have room for freedom and original thinking. Somehow
they have to effectively deal with the conflict between control and
non-control. They are responsible for wise use of freedom, as well
as accepting (or imposing) the rigidity of organization and discipline
that are also necessary if anything is to be accomplished.
URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality
of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people
as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures.
Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking
about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people
with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence
of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications
of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the
aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes
areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be
different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique.
Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as
is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers,
and the media.
URANUS in TAURUS
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Taurus do
not care to make changes for the sake of making changes, nor do they
accept originality just because it is different. For them, changes
and innovations must have structure and purpose. Freedom is encouraged
if responsibilities are also accepted. The importance of theories
are recognized but only to the extent that their practical application
is considered feasible.
NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of
society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are
glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism,
and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years,
taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs.
Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign
and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign
is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's
house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your
natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion,
disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't
always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and
describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment,
and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.
NEPTUNE in VIRGO
Among other things Virgo rules the search for ideals, work and the
labor force. During the most recent period of Neptune in Virgo in
1928-1943 idealism went tragically awry in Hitler's plan to eradicate
all those he considered inferior. The National Labor Relations Board
was established to reassert the right to collective bargaining.
PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all
twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve
years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like
atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction
of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence
in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your
personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house
position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope.
Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously
or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also
linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes
the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.
PLUTO in CANCER
Pluto's last period in Cancer was 1912-1939. Cancer rules women and
the family. During the 20's the attitudes and roles of women were
transformed. They demanded greater freedom in society and release
from the drudgery of domestic chores. As a result of the increasing
number of women seeking employment outside of the home, family life
also changed dramatically.
PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope.
The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily
basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances
you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality
and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.
HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is
also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality
and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health
and the type of illnesses you may experience.
CAPRICORN ASCENDANT
A Capricorn Ascendant indicates individuals with energetic, success-oriented
personalities, and determination to satisfy their personal goals.
The shrewdness and open ambition associated with the sun or moon in
Capricorn does not always show up so overtly in the personality of
those with Capricorn Ascendant but these traits are present nevertheless.
Most of them are very capable managers and supervisors, willing to
accept responsibilities and positions of authority.
They strongly identify with the material world and tangible assets.
Unless other factors in their personalities or backgrounds interfere,
they are not likely to adopt easy-going, "take me as I am" attitudes.
They feel more comfortable with formality. They want to be aware of
all the rules of social conduct and adapt their actions to fit these
structures. Consciously or subconsciously they specifically choose
the company of people who make them look good. It is not unusual for
handsome Capricorn Rising males to select less attractive wives or,
beautiful Capricorn Rising women to select less attractive female
friends.
Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, planet of structure, restriction and
longevity. It is often an indication of a difficult birth or restricted
childhood. However, it doesn't matter what particular difficulties
life presents to these individuals, their biggest challenge is always
themselves. They are apt to be disappointed with some aspect of their
personalities or appearance and may develop conflicting behavior to
deal with these feelings when they surface. Some of these individuals
practice strict self denial, while others abandon themselves to hedonistic
pleasures as a form of self destruction. They may even exhibit both
types of behavior. At every turn they confront fears and insecurity.
How well they deal with the conflict marks their success as well adjusted
adults. Capricorn ruling the first house raises the competitive spirit
and by no means dictates the presence of a somber or colorless personality.
On the contrary, it implies individuals who are apt to possess overcompensating
cheerful personalities, and they willingly accept responsibilities
and hardships which they are apt to feel they were born to endure.
There is always a choice to be made, and the right one is never easy
because it usually involves success which must be earned.
Capricorn Ascendant is usually indicative of abstemious eating habits
which help these individuals avoid gaining too much weight. Sensitive
skin, finely textured hair, brittle bones, and dental difficulties
are apt to be their common physical complaints
HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary
income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates
the values and priorities you establish throughout life.
AQUARIUS on 2nd HOUSE
Aquarius ruling the second house indicates individuals whose material
assets, as well as priorities and value systems are vulnerable to
sudden change. If they have little wealth this influence holds the
promise of improvement in monetary circumstances. If, on the other
hand, they have many material resources, this warns of the danger
these assets may be suddenly lost. Their attitude toward spending
can vary considerably from one time to the next. They might feel very
conservative for a while and then suddenly rationalize why they should
go ahead and spend money rather than save it. They are not likely
to be dedicated to making money for its own sake. The personal freedom
that accompanies wealth is more apt to be their main goal. It is hard
to predict what values they will espouse, but they are probably not
very traditional, or at least go against the present trend of societal
thinking when it comes to money. Sticking to their priorities follows
the same unpredictable course as trying to establishing what they
are.
MOON in 2nd HOUSE
Moon in the second house indicates those who equate money or personal
assets with emotional security. As a result of this they exhibit certain
behavior patterns. Lack of assets can make them feel so insecure and
vulnerable that they become extremely conservative or even miserly.
However, the behavior many seem to exhibit is impulse buying or spending
money as a means of emotional consolation. Whether or not they actually
realize what they are doing, these individuals may also attempt to
use money or status in order to elicit affections or cooperation of
others. In some cases, they may allow themselves to be bartered in
this way. The negative potential includes those who have to assume
financial responsibilities for family members. The Moon's influence
suggests a certain flexibility when it comes to priorities. What is
important to them today may not be so important tomorrow. They may
derive income or property through a woman or as a result of inheritance.
MOON trine MERCURY
Moon trine Mercury indicates those with sound, balanced minds well
integrated with their emotions. They have ability to develop organizational
techniques, as well as the capacity to ascertain and analyze details
even if they make no attempt to keep track of these details. Though
it may not be deliberate manipulation on their part they usually know
just what to say and when to say it. Instinctively knowing what others
want to hear and their clever communication skills are the keys to
their success.
MOON opposite MARS
Moon opposite Mars indicates those likely to harbor anger and frustration.
They are forever running into situations in which no compromise is
possible and thus no solution. Emotional tension results in unnecessary
accidents and even deliberate physical confrontations. Insensitivity
and aggression creep into relationships, and it's always too little
too late when they try to patch things up. Strong positive elements
in their personalities and backgrounds can help overcome some of the
negative influence of this aspect.
MOON trine JUPITER
Moon trine Jupiter indicates those who get away with a lot. They can
talk themselves into or out of any situation. Surrounded by, perhaps
even responsible for scandal or criminal activities, they may be the
only one to escape the consequences. Wastefulness, laziness, exaggeration
and taking too much for granted are all potential traits accorded
to this aspect, but so are great talent, genius, spirituality, and
a bent for politics.
MOON conjunct SATURN
Moon conjunct Saturn indicates those who may be too severe and inflexible
toward everything and everyone, including themselves, tending to look
at things negatively, picturing the worst case scenarios. They may
be admirably ambitious but also very manipulative. In relationships
they are insecure unless they know exactly where they stand. However,
unless altered by other factors in their personalities, their emotional
commitments are stable and dependable.
SATURN in 2nd HOUSE
For those with Saturn in the second house, the biggest lessons in
life involve income and assets. This Saturn influence does not necessarily
indicate lack of wealth. It implies that material assets as well as
values and priorities, are a constant source of concern. Whether they
are rich or poor, these individuals worry about money. Concern with
money, however, is usually their motivation to acquire it, and few
of them ever experience the poverty they fear. They are foolishly
extravagant when it is unnecessary, and too prudent when a more generous
attitude is needed. They may be so wary about being taken advantage
of that they refuse to help deserving people or causes. Some of them
overcompensate for such unworthy suspicions by being too generous,
with the unfortunate result that people take advantage of them. Grappling
with values, priorities, and money- and in the process learning what
is really important in life- is the key to their happiness and success.
HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation,
self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity
and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It
indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within
your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also
describes the job or health of your father.
PISCES on 3rd HOUSE
Pisces ruling the third house indicates those with developed intuitions
and special interest in spiritual matters and occult subjects. They
are apt to have high intelligence but also mental laziness, an unwillingness
to explore areas of thought that appear to be too much work. A parent,
in most cases the father, is apt to be employed in fishing or maritime
industries, chemistry, photography, medicine (especially homeopathy,
podiatry, or cosmetic surgery), psychology, areas involving feet which
could mean working in a shoe store to being a dancer, or areas that
involve minority groups, the disabled or institutionalized. He may
suffer hypochondria, mental confusion, or hard to diagnose illness.
Pisces ruling the third house may also mean individuals who are particularly
sensitive even clairvoyant with siblings. There is also the possibility
of loss of siblings, or siblings with drug dependencies. Illegal drugs
may be used or sold by neighbors. There can be mental confusion, and
it helps if these individuals spend a certain amount of time alone
or in quiet environments, especially near the ocean. They like to
use a pet name or alias, and (unless they develop a fear of water)
enjoy travel by boat.
URANUS in 3rd HOUSE
Uranus in the third house indicates those with a keen intellect, though
its manifestations can be highly unpredictable. It is difficult for
these individuals to use or communicate what they learn unless they
practice retention, develop organization, and eliminate distractions.
Taking tests can also be difficult. They want to convey what they
know rather than what others require them to know. Likely to be very
adept and self-taught individuals, they enjoy interesting trivia and
knowledge of odd and unusual subjects. Their intellectual and physical
reactions to stimuli are immediate. However, consistency and a steady
rhythm are difficult to maintain. Unpredictable, jerky movements can
make them very clumsy, and in some cases, accident prone. In the structured
routine of classroom instruction they grow restless. They find it
hard to sit still for long periods even when being entertained. If
subjected to long-winded sermons or boring lectures, they are sure
to head for the nearest exit. For all their jumpiness and unpredictability,
they have remarkable mental poise. Rarely frightened or upset by unusual
situations or people, these individuals often have a very calming
influence on others who are mentally distressed or hysterical. Eagerly
receptive to new ideas and methods, they also come up with ingenious
ideas and clever solutions of their own. Separation from siblings
is a strong likelihood. Plans often develop complications or go awry
for one reason or another, usually due to circumstances for which
these individuals are not responsible. As if to make up for being
unable to plan ahead, they can do things spontaneously or at the last
minute with relative ease.
URANUS square PLUTO
Uranus square Pluto only applies to those born in the early 30's.
Their lives were dramatically changed as a result of the great depression
that preceded their births. Their early years were shaped by this
transformation that affected all levels of society and, subtle or
not, it affects how members of this generation behave as adults. How
subtle or great an influence depends on other factors in their personalities
and backgrounds.
HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and
family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning
as well as the end of various cycles in your life.
TAURUS on 4th HOUSE
Taurus ruling the fourth house indicates individuals who feel more
comfortable, and thus more sociable and romantic, in their own homes.
Their homes are apt to have a very solid appearance and the interior
is apt to contain a predominance of wood and leather. If the Taurean
influence is given full expression, their homes are in a country rather
than urban setting. They may develop interest or work in real estate,
architecture, or interior design. There is possible inheritance, probably
from their mother or mother's side of the family. They are apt to
select marriage or business partners from among those who come from
their home town. A fourth house Taurean influence indicates sociable,
stable relationships with parents. It may also mean their mothers
are particularly beautiful or have artistic talent. Negative potentials
for Taurus on the fourth house include individuals who by choice or
circumstances do not have homes, or are unable to derive enjoyment
from domestic life and only use home as a place to camp out.
HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers,
capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children,
and speculative ventures.
TAURUS on 5th HOUSE
Taurus ruling the fifth house indicates individuals with potential
for raising the pursuit of pleasure to a fine art. They are apt to
have merry, sociable and generous natures, with the capacity to genuinely
enjoy the physical pleasures life has to offer. They may be just plain
lucky as well. They may, for example, be very obese but dress with
such good taste they manage to look good anyway, or they are able
to move gracefully despite their size. They are apt to have such wonderful
manners and personal charm others don't notice or become offended
if they happen to overindulge themselves. They may be the world's
great lovers and their conquests don't seem to mind being only one
in a long line of romantic partners. A fifth house Taurean influence
indicates artistic creativity and many of them are talented stage
or costume designers, musicians, artists, writers or illustrators.
They are likely to have wonderful rapport with children, understanding
what activities will amuse and entertain them. Negative potentials
for Taurus on the fifth house include individuals with problems concerning
children or romance, or who have bad luck in speculative ventures.
HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and
unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your
health, and physical fitness.
GEMINI on 6th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the sixth house indicates individuals who tend to keep
very busy whether they have a job or work in the home. However, it
doesn't mean they always accomplish their tasks. They can, for example,
become involved with too many projects at one time and never quite
get any of them finished. Or they may be preoccupied with unnecessary
details or needless tasks they are convinced need doing. They enjoy
work that involves a wide variety of tasks and frequent change of
schedule or change of scene. The influence of Gemini also implies
they may have more than one job at a time. It also suggests individuals
who work as librarians, writers, researchers, teachers, trainers,
physical fitness experts, or who work in communication, sales, or
with computers. They may work or have interest in geography, geology,
weather, stamp collecting, and travel. Whatever their job happens
to be, they can usually be depended on to generate a lot of paperwork,
reports, memos, and lists.
HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures
of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others
tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters,
negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as
well as adversarial.
CANCER on 7th HOUSE
Cancer ruling the seventh house indicates those who are often the
beneficiaries of valuable assistance. Whether or not they ask for
it, they engender strong, protective or nurturing instincts in others.
When these individuals achieve outstanding success, there is a good
chance it was not without impressive help from others. They are vulnerable
to the influence of others, and though there are usually some differences
between the type of influence a seventh-house Cancer has on males
as opposed to females, the influence can be interchangeable in one
form or another. In a male's chart, it indicates he is likely to select
a wife who strongly resembles or exhibits the characteristics of his
mother. He may marry a woman that adopts a mother's role toward him
as well as that of a wife. It is also possible he will marry someone
younger than himself. A female with this Cancerian influence usually
exhibits strong emotional identification with her husband. She will
be dominated by marrying a man with a forceful nature, or indirectly
dominated by his money or status. Even if the marriage fails, she
may have difficulty finding psychological release from her relationship.
The positive side of Cancer's influence is the potential for close,
loving relationships.
PLUTO in 7th HOUSE
Pluto in the seventh house indicates those who feel compelled to control
and manipulate relationships. If they happen to have an aggressive
nature, they are compelled to interfere with other peoples' relationships
as well as their own, not always with happy results. The negative
potential includes those who are victims of manipulation by others
including their marriage partner. Pluto's influence in the seventh
house suggests individuals who consciously or subconsciously want
to gain the first advantage where other people are concerned. They
do not have a strong sense of cooperation or fair play unless factors
in their personality or background encourage them to develop a more
even-handed approach in dealing with others. Pluto does, however,
imply justice in the form of eventual retribution. Sooner or later,
they are likely to get what they deserve, both good and bad. Whether
or not they make a conscious effort to do so, they attract people
who are intellectually superior or who have more power or status than
themselves. Other potentials include those for whom marriage becomes
a continual contest of wills, and joint ventures or other cooperative
efforts turn into power struggles.
MARS in 7th HOUSE
Mars in the seventh house indicates those who put much vitality and
energy into relationships, marriage, business partnerships or joint
ventures, and dealing with other people in general. They enthuse and
encourage others to be sure, but they also rely on others to engender
and constantly rekindle energy and vitality within themselves. Being
cut off from the stimulation of interactions, or working alone can
be detrimental to developing motivations they need to get things done.
Marriage or business partnerships may not always be easy to establish.
Their energy and activities may be sapped or overshadowed by an overly
aggressive partner. They are apt to encounter or initiate many open
confrontations. Negative factors in their personality or background
can mean argumentative and even violent encounters, and loss of a
partner through accident. These individuals may seek a career in law
or contract negotiation, or marry someone who works in these areas.
HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the
income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes
your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and use material
assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house
also indicates sexual attitudes and behavior.
LEO on the 8th HOUSE
Leo ruling the eighth house indicates those who are well aware of
their own worth as individuals and the worth of material assets. Their
ego is directly linked to their sense of self-worth, and it becomes
a viable, if sometimes hidden part of their strength as individuals.
Many are shrewd manipulators of resources and assets, their own as
well as others. They may be original and clever in finding ways to
conserve and make use of resources. They may have little urge to promote
what they do in a public manner, and may even fail to be recognized
for their accomplishments until after their death. However, they do
seek power to manipulate and control behind the scenes. They are apt
to be guarded about their privacy, and may be purposely secretive.
Leo's influence suggests the possibility of research and investigative
talent as well as the ability to understand the psychology of human
motivation.
VENUS in 8th HOUSE
Venus in the eighth house indicates those who tend to be quiet but
intense in social environments. They need highly motivated reasons
to engage in superficial small talk for which they probably have limited
ability and less patience. There may be an element of mystery or secrecy
in sexual encounters. Though it may not be deliberate on their part,
they give the appearance of being enigmatic or intriguing to others.
The influence of Venus implies the potential for jealousy and possessiveness
in sex and romance even when these individuals do not exhibit such
traits with regard to other matters. It also indicates financial gain
as well as increased social life and status through marriage. The
positive side of this Venus house position also indicates remarkable
ability to understand the psychology of human motivation and relationships.
Negative factors in their personality or background can mean those
who marry for the purpose of gain, loss of money or status through
marriage, sexually transmitted disease, and neurotic social tendencies.
VENUS conjunct NEPTUNE
Venus conjunct Neptune implies deception and abandonment in romance.
Though infidelity is possible, deception can also occur through false
idealism. These individuals may have romantic involvement with those
in the navy or maritime projects, dancers, photography, medicine,
members of a minority. There is implication of artistic talent and
creative imagination. They are sensitive and many of them possess
remarkable intuition, except perhaps where their own romances are
involved. They enjoy creating an aura of mystery and romance.
NEPTUNE in 8th HOUSE
Those with Neptune in the eighth house often experience difficulty
collecting debts. When they give money or favors, it should be with
the idea of never realizing a return on their investment. They may
have tendencies to distort facts concerning taxes or insurance matters,
or can be falsely accused of such practices. There is potential for
erosion or loss of joint income. There is also potential that the
income of their marriage partner, as well as that of a sibling, may
be derived from maritime industry, footwear, chemistry, religion,
photography, medicine, psychology, or working with those who are disabled,
institutionalized, or minorities. The negative potential includes
those who are cheated of an inheritance, or their inheritance is wasted.
Mental disorder, disabilities or sensitivity to drugs may be part
of their genetic inheritance. Neptune's positive influence suggests
those with remarkable understanding and instincts about human motivation
and behavior. They read body language very well. They are intuitive,
shrewd and highly resourceful. Sex may be a religious experience for
some of them, while others prefer a certain amount of mystery and
charade in their sexual activities.
SUN in 8th HOUSE
Sun in the eighth house indicates those whose ego is bound to their
sense of self-worth. Having little if any urge for self-promotion
for its own sake, they do things to satisfy themselves, not to impress
others. They may have talent for handling resources and material assets.
No matter what they gain from other sources, it is the development
and use of their own talent and skills that give them the independence
and success they desire. They tend to look deeper, to go beyond the
obvious, and to explore the mysteries of man and nature. Family connections
or legacies, as well as the absence of these things, can play a significant
part in the shaping of their life and desires.
SUN sextile PLUTO
Sun sextile Pluto is usually an indication of individuals who are
given opportunities to interact with those more powerful than themselves.
These opportunities also represent the chance for these individuals
to learn the value of control and power and what happens when such
privileges are abused. Not everyone they meet will give tangible assistance
in the way of money or obvious favors, but they often turn out to
be important resources in helping these individuals get ahead in other
ways.
HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing,
publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies,
religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits.
It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To
a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health
of your mother.
VIRGO on 9th HOUSE
Virgo ruling the ninth house indicates those concerned with higher
education, philosophy, religion, art, and foreign cultures. It is
also an indication of desire to travel to foreign countries, being
educated or trained in a foreign country, and earning advanced degrees
in more than one subject. Their mothers may be teachers, writers,
or work with unions, the handicapped, sick, or minority groups. These
individuals are apt to write, or work in publishing, advertising,
sales, diplomacy, the judicial system, anthropology, travel, teaching,
or politics. The negative potential includes the possibility of lacking
the means with which to pursue advanced degrees, lack of ability or
patience to pursue education, faulty memory, trouble with in-laws,
and limited mechanical ability. It can also mean individuals guilty
of sermonizing, demagoguery, or moral righteousness. There is however,
sure to be a measure of intellectual curiosity, and even if they are
prone more to gossip than study, they may still be clever enough to
learn what they need or want to know.
MERCURY in 9th HOUSE
Mercury in the ninth house indicates those likely to be involved with
higher education, philosophy, religion, art, or foreign cultures and
societies. It indicates travel to foreign countries as well as receiving
advanced education or training in a foreign country, and/or earning
advanced degrees in more than one subject. Many of these individuals
also seek to learn what they need or want to know on their own. The
negative potential of this Mercury house position includes lacking
the means with which to pursue advanced degrees, or lack of intellectual
ability or motivation to pursue higher education. Other possibilities
include those with poor memory, learning disabilities, non-communicative
nature, troubled relations with in-laws, or limited mechanical ability.
Mercury's positive influence suggests an excellent scholar, salesperson,
promoter, diplomat, stockbroker, court stenographer or reporter, spokesperson,
anthropologist, politician, linguist, critic, writer, or working in
some branch of the media.
MERCURY sextile MARS
Mercury sextile Mars indicates those who tend to get around a lot
and, though not overly aggressive, are not reticent about sharing
thoughts and ideas. They usually learn best through actual physical
demonstration and participation rather than by simply reading or listening
to instructions. They are apt to find, or go out and create many opportunities
in which to physically carry out their thoughts and ideas.
JUPITER in 9th HOUSE
Jupiter in the ninth house indicates those with intellectual curiosity,
independent attitudes, idealism, and quickness of mind. They have
great respect for knowledge, but there is no guarantee these individuals
will be motivated to pursue higher education. It does suggest however,
that they have a nose for news as well as gossip. Avid readers of
newspapers and magazines, they are usually very well informed concerning
political and social issues. There is potential talent for languages,
diplomacy, or arbitration. They enjoy traveling, cultural pursuits,
gambling, sports and other activities that offer intellectual and
physical challenge. They have a strong religious or spiritual nature,
a wonderful sense of humor, and a gift for story telling. Negative
factors in their personality or background can mean mental laziness,
disorganization, dishonesty, and a strong flair for exaggeration and
overestimation.
JUPITER trine SATURN
Jupiter trine Saturn implies luck, but it is a generational aspect.
While many of those born with this fortunate planetary influence are
successful, their personal success will have to be supported by other
factors in their personalities and backgrounds. Conditions in society
are favorable for them, enabling most of them to be at least moderately
successful, while many others without this aspect, for example, may
be unemployed, or unsuitable in some way for the demands of the current
conditions.
JUPITER opposite URANUS
This generational aspect implies unstable conditions and a general
confusion that may lead to complete chaos, all quite often the result
of a complete reversal of existing conditions. It is an aspect of
rebellion against the status quo, and individuals born with this aspect
may tend to be temperamentally suited to such a condition unless other
factors in their personalities and backgrounds soften its influence.
JUPITER square PLUTO
Jupiter square Pluto implies a generation that succeeds through sheer
force of will power. Societal situations which confront these individuals
involve issues of power and control and, as a result, they are forced
to analyze and understand human psychological motivations and behavioral
patterns. How much of this spills into their private affairs is a
matter of other factors in their personalities and backgrounds.
HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals,
public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates
to your father and his influence in your life.
SCORPIO on 10th HOUSE
Scorpio ruling the tenth house is an implication of those who are
apt to suffer some traumatic event in youth that greatly affects them
as adults. The trauma may have been the death of a parent, or physical
or mental abuse by a parent or other family member. There may have
been a suicide or other deeply troubling incident related to friends.
No matter what the reality of their childhood, somewhere along the
line they manage to develop the sense of having no control over things.
As a result, they have great reluctance to allow anyone else to assume
control over their lives and destinies. If for one reason or another,
they do relinquish such control, it can be a significant impediment
to their growth and maturity. There may be a complete change of career
for them later in life. There is also implication that, if they do
not gain public attention and power themselves, they attract friends
and associates who gain such positions. Whether by choice or circumstance
there is often an element of mystery or secrecy connected with their
careers, public image, their fathers, or the background of their marriage
or business partners.
HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong,
and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages
earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of
others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business
associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations
and capacity for happiness.
SCORPIO on 11th HOUSE
Scorpio ruling the eleventh house indicates individuals who are likely
to find that one of their central themes in life is a constant analysis
and re-analysis of exactly what makes them happy. To accommodate what
may be intense desire to find true happiness, they may attempt completely
new beginnings by making new friends in a new environment, or establish
friendships solely to improve their social status or to gain some
other material advantage. Scorpio's influence indicates potential
for these individuals to regard their friends and memberships in certain
organizations as valuable personal resources that give them a more
powerful personal image. Another strong possibility that occurs under
Scorpio's influence, especially in those with more aggressive personalities,
is the conscious or subconscious need to manipulate and control organizations
to which they belong, as well as their friendships. Those with rather
shy or more vulnerable natures may be the victims, and it is they
who are manipulated or taken advantage of. Whether by choice or circumstance
there is secrecy or mystery connected with friendships and/or organizations
to which they belong.
HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your
subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or
work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow,
disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry.
It also has connection with the job or health of your marriage or
business partner.
SAGITTARIUS on 12th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the twelfth house indicates those with a remarkable
inability to worry. It isn't that they don't worry at all, but they
seem to have a sixth sense that everything will turn out for the best.
In fact in some cases, they may never even get that far; they just
go ahead and take a chance on situations others would never dare attempt.
Sagittarius is expansive thinking and the twelfth house does not present
a clear sense of reality. This can mean individuals who are never
quite certain of their own limitations, and what is possible and what
is not possible. Sagittarius indicates help from unknown or unexpected
sources, though it also implies they may receive help through their
marriage partners. They are apt to be interested in studying occult
subjects and subconscious levels of existence, and many of these individuals
have highly developed instincts or intuition. There is also the potential
for great spirituality. On a mundane level it can mean a special fondness
for gambling, horses, the theater, art, and dancing.
