PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned
with your individual traits.
The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon),
learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and
sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical
energy (Mars).
The second section describes how well you deal internally with the
external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for
happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations
(Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative
ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status
quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public
ideals, morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated
with or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power
of government and industry, and toward exploration, development,
conservation and distribution of natural resources (Pluto).
SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential
and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about.
It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to
take, and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do.
It is your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command
respect and authority, to impress and influence others.
SUN
in LEO
As the fifth sign of the zodiac, Leo represents the fifth stage
in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. Here, the
dominant need is to develop man's creative urge. Creativity is not
entirely an emotional urge in Leo, it is also an expression of ego.
The mind and heart are united in Leo to represent man's ultimate
individuality. When their egos are turned inward, Leos become self-centered
and tyrannical. Seeking to gain attention (consciously or subconsciously),
they love to play the hero. At times this gesture is indeed noble,
but feeling they already know what is best, they often neglect to
learn what assistance is actually wanted and their misguided generosity
becomes worthless to those they sought to help. Imaginative Leos
envision grandiose schemes and many of them possess the talent to
turn their ideas into reality.
Leos are stubborn and impervious to changes not of their own making.
They are however, able to accomplish things in life because of their
tenacity in sticking with projects when others lose patience and
stamina. Unfortunately, stubbornness in the Leo personality is dictated
more often than not by their ego. Attempts to back them into a corner,
or demanding that they change their thinking or behavior will quickly
reveal the extent of their intractable nature. Even when confronted
with irrefutable evidence of the foolhardiness of their ways, Leos
can stubbornly cling to bad relationships and wrong ideas because
their egos simply will not allow them to admit being wrong. However,
their tenacity becomes a valuable asset when it is demonstrated
as loyalty to friends, or as patience and determination to succeed
in completing a worthy project. The astrological symbol for Leo
is the Lion. As king of the jungle, this animal represents the regal
disposition of the Leo personality. Their dignity cannot be assailed.
If insulted or abused, they rarely forget the slight unless their
detractors sincerely and humbly request forgiveness. Leos generally
have opinions about everything and not a bit of reluctance in expressing
them. They must have the last word and, as far as most of them are
concerned, it is the only one that counts.
Leos react physically to everything they experience. Before they
assess the practicality or worth of what they are doing, before
they sort out their true emotions, and before they take time to
reason things out intellectually, their tendency is to shoot first
and ask questions later. Leos tackle projects others would not attempt,
though they cannot help calling as much attention as possible to
their efforts. Their penchant for exaggeration and overreaction
works well in the theater, advertising schemes, and other situations
where a "bigger than life" approach is desirable. Leos are often
guilty however, of habitually turning a mundane problem or fairly
routine situation into an overblown crisis, much to the confusion
and annoyance of those around them.
The sun, celestial guardian of the human ego, rules Leo. Its influence
gives Leos a true love of life and its pleasures. Genial hosts and
natural entertainers, they get pleasure out of helping others enjoy
life as much as they do. Enthusiasm and generosity are integral
parts of their gregarious natures. Their sunny dispositions inspire
the affection of many friends and admirers, as well as engender
feelings of envy in those with less popular personalities. Though
usually full of ambition and enthusiasm, they also have a lazy streak
and, if given the opportunity, will take the easy way out of things,
especially when the situation offers little fun or glory. They are
so attracted to energy and excitement it can be difficult for them
to accept that life also consists of boring routines and mundane
details that need constant attention.
It is easy for pleasure-loving Leos to become addicted to rich food,
and as they get older they find themselves putting on weight. Their
gregarious nature makes it hard to enjoy or stick to boring or solitary
physical fitness routines, but they may not mind dressing up in
flashy gym outfits and joining an exercise class. Dancing, swimming,
and tennis are favorite activities, though they are eager participants
in sports of all kinds. When engaged in team sports, however, they
can make too many grandstand plays, forgetting that they are just
part of a team. Arts and crafts, theater groups, philanthropic societies,
and religious organizations attract their interest and participation.
Leo colors are gold, royal blue, purple, and red. Vulnerable parts
of the body are the back and the heart. Overexertion, heart murmur,
and various types of back pains are the usual Leo complaints. Leo
rules gold, and the birthstone for this sign is the sardonyx. An
appropriate representative of Leo's versatile, creative personality,
the intriguing sardonyx is a variety of agate that exists in many
colors and can be cut in many ways. One of the special ways it is
used is in making cameos. Flowers for Leo include the showy dahlia,
yellow lily, poppy (red), marigold, sunflower, and heliotrope.
MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency
or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle
relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and
experiences. It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical,
emotional, and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic
environment. It rules babies and young children, your mother and
other important females in your life.
MOON
in SCORPIO
Those born with the moon in a Water sign need to establish solid
emotional commitments. Before considering the practicality of a
situation, and before objectively examining the facts, they react
emotionally. They are highly intuitive, though at times, it is deceptively
self-serving. As lunar Water sign personalities, those with moon
in Scorpio are primarily led by their emotions. If they are subjected
to emotional manipulation or deprivation in childhood, they are
not going to reveal their vulnerability by openly expressing their
feelings or needs. If they are raised in a non-threatening environment,
they will probably emerge as mild mannered, easy to get along with
adults. There is no denying the potential for hedonism, possessiveness,
jealousy, and revenge in these individuals but not all of them give
in to such destructive energies. Those who do are likely to suffer
accordingly, reaping their rewards in this life rather than the
next.
Scorpio moon personalities do not want to be rushed or forced into
making a commitment. Once they make an emotional commitment to a
project, idea, or relationship, they tenaciously pursue and hang
on to it. Their emotional nature is accompanied by strong will power
and amazing ability to overcome adversity. Instinctive understanding
of human motivation and behavior gives them an emotional advantage,
a conscious or subconscious way to control themselves as well as
others. The mistake many of them make is being so intent on controlling
others, that they never learn to effectively control themselves.
Their stubborn nature makes it difficult for others to convince
them to change their opinions and behavior or to break undesirable
habits.
Women with Scorpio moon are apt to be shrewd, and when they have
high intelligence, it is likely to be brilliant. Their ambition
is not so much a matter of wanting great wealth for its own sake
as it is their desire to gain power. Men with Scorpio moon can be
driven to distraction by situations that offer no solution, and
by people who refuse to tell them anything. Their emotional nature
is well suited to deal with economic, human, or natural resources.
MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way
you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information.
It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical
skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you
get where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with
all possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and
there?
MERCURY in CANCER
The enhanced emotional influence of Mercury in Cancer implies imagination,
creativity or artistic talent. These individuals may find it difficult
to separate their thoughts from their feelings. They are extremely
susceptible to consciously or subconsciously absorbing the ideas
and thoughts of those around them. This makes objectivity and originality
hard for them to generate. They can, however, inject valuable intuitive
or instinctive elements into ideas or into the expression of ideas
to make them more appealing and effective. Whatever their ideas
may be, or however they may have been generated, Mercury in Cancer
individuals need to find some means of personally expressing them.
They will not be content to go unnoticed or unappreciated. Methods
and motivation for learning, communication and transportation are
subject to their prevailing mood at any given time.
VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic
tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions
at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance,
marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit
of pleasure.
VENUS
in VIRGO
Individuals with Venus in Virgo may be somewhat inhibited when it
comes to establishing social relationships. They do however, quickly
warm to people who go out of their way to make them feel at ease,
those with similar interests, and those with whom they can find
some means of personal identification. Even if they are very interested
in pursuing a relationship (romantic or otherwise) they are not
likely to be the aggressor. When they do go out of their way to
form associations, it is usually for practical reasons. Close friendships
may be few, but those they do make are treated with care and responsibility.
They can miss good times, good friends, and sometimes even romance,
because they wait too long for the conditions to be just perfect.
MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength
and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires
your emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative
skills. It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking
inclinations, and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.
MARS in VIRGO
Individuals with Mars in Virgo possess a number of different kinds
of physical and mental skills that allow them access to a wide range
of activities. Writing, teaching, health care, interior design,
or fashion design are just a few areas in which these individuals
may direct their time and attention. They can be very self-disciplined,
organized individuals who have no trouble dividing their energy
among several projects at the same time. If other factors in their
individual natal chart interfere, their sense of detail is lost
in disorganization and sloppiness. Efforts to perfect their skills
and abilities to impossible levels can be discouraged when they
are confronted with the imperfection of reality. They need to develop
tolerance for such imperfect situations or they can lapse into an
idle and unproductive existence.
JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels;
physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation
of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism
and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.
JUPITER in AQUARIUS
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Aquarius can operate efficiently
within traditional ideas and institutions, while at the same time
be receptive to ideas and activities which seem fantastic or bizarre
to other people. Indeed, they are apt to experience their greatest
personal progress and growth by successfully dealing with situations
that involve rebelling against tradition or the established order.
These individuals are likely to possess extremely broad-minded social
attitudes. They can be effective catalysts within various organizations
and groups.
SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you
are apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It
does not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality,
and good fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure
and meaning.
SATURN in GEMINI
Individuals with Saturn in Gemini find restrictions in communication.
They may lack ability or opportunity to acquire or communicate information.
In some cases it may be the inability of others to communicate effectively
that hampers their own efforts. Disorganization may be the reason
that some of them cannot efficiently use information, or, being
overly organized, they miss important details. Efforts to turn ideas
into action can be restricted. They may be too serious when a light-hearted
approach would be more effective.
URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates
originality of thought and expression. In society it rules radical
ideas and people as well as revolutionary events that upset established
structures. Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one
sign, taking about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since
groups of people with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84
years, the influence of this planet in a sign is generational. The
personal implications of Uranus in your life are described by its
house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your
natal chart. It describes areas of unpredictability, and where you
or your life style may be different than those around you. It relates
to the unusual or unique. Friends and associations to which you
belong are also indicated, as is your potential involvement with
science and technology, computers, and the media.
URANUS in AQUARIUS
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Aquarius
deal with emancipation and independence. They seek to overcome restrictions
imposed by traditional institutions and concepts. Individuals and
institutions that fail to make changes to accommodate the new wave
will be discarded. However, that which is perceived as having enduring
value will be treasured and uplifted to new heights.
NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits
of society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who
are glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism,
and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years,
taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve
signs. Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of
one sign and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance
in any sign is described as generational or historical. On a personal
level, Neptune's house position and the aspects it makes with other
planets in your natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract
thinking, illusion, disillusionment, and other areas of your life
where things aren't always what they seem. It rules derangement,
guilt, persecution, and describes the potential for experiences
related to confinement, abandonment, and addiction or physical intolerance
to drugs.
NEPTUNE in CANCER
The most recent period of Neptune in Cancer was 1901-1916 and there
are many Cancerian associations with this period. For example, Cancer
rules the stomach and food in general. In 1901 a deranged anarchist
shot President McKinley in the stomach. In 1909 the portly 300-pound
William Taft was inaugurated. During this period the United States
Congress passed the Meat Inspection Act and the Pure Food and Drug
Act.
PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all
twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from
twelve years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its
orbit. Like atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence
and direction of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used.
Pluto's influence in any sign is interpreted as generational or
historical. In your personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted
from its house position and the aspects it makes to other natal
planets in your horoscope. Pluto rules intense energy, and describes
the areas in which you consciously or subconsciously seek to exercise
power or control. Pluto is also linked to your karmic responsibility,
and in this respect, it describes the areas where you must gain
the deepest level of understanding.
PLUTO in CANCER
Pluto's last period in Cancer was 1912-1939. Cancer rules women
and the family. During the 20's the attitudes and roles of women
were transformed. They demanded greater freedom in society and release
from the drudgery of domestic chores. As a result of the increasing
number of women seeking employment outside of the home, family life
also changed dramatically.
PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope.
The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily
basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances
you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature,
personality and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.
HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is
also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer
personality and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes
your health and the type of illnesses you may experience.
GEMINI ASCENDANT
A Gemini Ascendant indicates individuals with adaptable personalities
and, in many cases, wiry, flexible physiques as well. Their chameleon-like
adaptability to changing circumstances and different people is often
so pronounced that their personalities and even physical appearances
can seem startlingly diverse to different people, and from one time
to another. They say what they instinctively know others want to
hear. Their adaptability can extend to conscious or subconscious
imitations of personality traits or the physical appearance of those
they admire.
Gemini implies intellectual orientation. To others they may appear
interested, but somehow emotionally detached. Physical contacts
and mannerisms are quick and restless, and sometimes their rapid
movements make it seem as though their minds and bodies are not
connected. They can do several things at once while at the same
time, appear not to be paying particular attention to any of them.
Marriage can be difficult. For example, they can be too ready and
able to entertain themselves, or the need of one partner for more
personal freedom can undermine the relationship. Their marriage
partners may require more passion and personal attention and less
independence and intellectual analysis.
Gemini is ruled by Mercury, planet of communication, which means
they are likely to be extremely talkative. Even those with quieter
natures are apt to have a great deal of intellectual curiosity.
They absorb a variety of information that they are quite happy to
share with anyone willing to listen. They can give the impression
of mental alertness and understanding, even though they may not
be paying attention or actually know anything about the subject
at hand. How deep their real intelligence goes is not determined
solely by the Gemini Ascendant. Possessing a wide spectrum of orientations
and abilities, many of them are excellent teachers, writers, scholars
and researchers, as well as those who engage in the flimflam of
con artists and the intellectual emptiness of imitators.
Manually dexterous, many of them are not just clever with their
hands but have significant artistic and design skills. Their lungs
and hands are physically vulnerable areas, and respiratory illnesses
and injuries to the hands and fingers are apt to be common occurrences.
SATURN in 1st HOUSE
For those with Saturn in the first house, the biggest lessons in
life involve self image. It doesn't matter what circumstances life
presents the biggest challenge for these individuals is always themselves.
Saturn indicates difficult circumstances surrounding birth and the
early years of life. Whatever their childhood was like, these individuals
are consciously or subconsciously disappointed by it and with themselves
as well. Such inner negativity may result in their denying themselves
any personal success or happiness, or they may completely abandon
themselves to pleasure and other indulgences as a form of self-destruction.
They feel they are unworthy, unattractive and undesirable, no matter
what the mirror reflects or what others may tell them. At every
turn they are confronted by their own fears and insecurities. How
well they learn to deal with such personal conflict becomes a mark
of their strength and success as an adult. Saturn in the first house
may indicate inner turmoil but by no means does it indicate a somber
or colorless personality. On the contrary, these individuals usually
overcompensate by developing a cheerful demeanor. They are quite
willing to accept hardship and responsibilities, which in most cases,
they feel they were born to endure.
SATURN conjunct PLUTO
Saturn conjunct Pluto is a generational aspect that implies desire
to find solutions. It is an excellent influence that promotes important
medical and scientific research. It also arouses concern with conservation
and use of the earth's elementary resources. Individuals born in
this generation may or may not be personally involved in one of
these areas, but they react positively toward the efforts made by
those who are.
PLUTO in 1st HOUSE
Pluto in the first house indicates those who are intensely aware
of themselves. Apt to be quiet and unassuming, these individuals
also possess personal magnetism. Some of them choose to develop
their personal magnetism to great advantage, while others allow
it to lie dormant. Though they are likely to enjoy being surrounded
by very powerful people, they may show little evidence of wanting
to project a similar image of power themselves. Outwardly these
individuals are often so pleasant and accommodating that, unless
others make a serious attempt to probe beneath the surface, the
intensity and depth of their personality stays hidden. When strongly
motivated however, the energy and stamina they exhibit is fierce.
They are highly resourceful, and can develop remarkable powers of
recuperation and survival.
HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary
income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates
the values and priorities you establish throughout life.
CANCER on 2nd HOUSE
Cancer ruling the second house indicates individuals who tend to
equate money or personal assets with emotional security. They are
apt to exhibit this Cancerian influence in one of two classic behavior
patterns. Either they find it difficult to hang on to resources
because they spend money when emotionally upset, or they are very
conservative, even miserly about spending assets because without
these assets they feel vulnerable and insecure. The more common
tendency for these individuals is to engage in impulse buying or
acquire property of one sort or another as a way of seeking emotional
consolation. There is also strong potential they will consciously
or subconsciously attempt to use money or status to buy the affections
of others, or in turn allow their own affections to be bartered
in the same way. They can demonstrate great flexibility when it
comes to priorities. What they deem important today may not be so
important tomorrow. There is possibility of family inheritance or
income from a family trust, just as there is also the possibility
of having to take financial responsibility for family members.
MERCURY in 2nd HOUSE
Mercury in the second house indicates those who seek to benefit
in some tangible way from their mechanical skills or their ideas
and information. As a result they earn income through communication,
sales, education, writing, publishing, the design, installation
and repair of machinery, travel, or transportation. They are adept
at picking up on the priorities and value systems of others. Being
able to know what others think is important can be a valuable asset.
It makes them successful opportunists, though it does not necessarily
imply they are manipulators or exploiters. Understanding and being
able to make practical use of networks of all kinds is often their
most valuable asset. Mercury's influence in the second house can
mean they want (or are forced) to deal with the paper work involved
with income and money. This includes those who cut out coupons from
newspapers to those who handle financial transactions, loans, investments,
bank books and other paperwork for their family; or work as bookkeepers,
bank tellers or loan officers.
MERCURY sextile VENUS
Mercury sextile Venus indicates those apt to be mentally alert and
highly sociable. Their sense of humor and intellectual curiosity
afford the motivation to attain adequate education for whatever
they set out to accomplish. Their pleasant, or at least engagingly
interesting dispositions, enable them to attract many opportunities
for making use of whatever communicative or technical skills they
possess.
MERCURY sextile MARS
Mercury sextile Mars indicates those who tend to get around a lot
and, though not overly aggressive, are not reticent about sharing
thoughts and ideas. They usually learn best through actual physical
demonstration and participation rather than by simply reading or
listening to instructions. They are apt to find, or go out and create
many opportunities in which to physically carry out their thoughts
and ideas.
NEPTUNE in 2nd HOUSE
Individuals with Neptune in the second house must preserve what
they value or it may be lost, sometimes even before they realize
that such a danger exists. These individuals may never quite figure
out what it is they truly value. So attuned to higher planes of
consciousness, they may put far more value on their soul than on
their bank account. There is strong potential for bankruptcy, or
at least a steady erosion of assets. The influence of Neptune can
mean these individuals pay little heed to their financial status
and as a result, may always live on the edge of debt. Some may go
in the opposite direction and develop paranoia about losing their
assets. They suspect everyone of trying to cheat them. There is
potential for the income of these individuals to be derived through
Neptune-related areas such as photography, movies, chemicals, oil,
boats, religion, water (maritime industries or activities), dancing,
theater, or work involving handicapped, confined, or underprivileged
people. These individuals may have a difficult time setting or sticking
to priorities. They may get sympathy, understanding, or money from
the father, but whatever he provides is not likely to be what they
may need the most.
HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation,
self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity
and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings.
It indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within
your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house
also describes the job or health of your father.
LEO on 3rd HOUSE
Leo ruling the third house indicates individuals who are likely
to assert themselves and their ideas through all kinds of communication
networks they set up, and by being (or trying to be) everywhere
at once. Their need for self-expression goes beyond mere desire.
Thoughts and ideas are the direct expression of their egos. In turn
this implies they need to find ways to express themselves as a means
of preserving their egos. They want to develop their ideas, but
it doesn't necessarily mean they will seek a formal education. Nor
does the desire to assert their ideas signify they will seek public
recognition. They may be content, for example, with a simple thing
like keeping a diary. If they have talent their egos find adequate
expression in artistic endeavors. There is likely to be much interaction
with others in their immediate vicinity such as family members or
neighbors. Their facility and need for communication may turn them
into constant travelers, letter writers, and telephone users. They
enjoy dealing with information and ideas.
SUN in 3rd HOUSE
Sun in the third house indicates those who assert themselves through
their thoughts and ideas, though it does not necessarily mean that
they seek a public forum in which to express themselves. Much depends
on their individual personality and background. Some are content
with merely keeping personal diaries. Others find adequate self-expression
through artistic endeavors. The sun's influence in the third house
indicates creativity and enthusiasm in communication, and, in some
individuals, a definite tendency for theatrics and the use of hyperbole.
Outgoing or introverted, they are all communication-oriented. Avid
letter-writers, constantly on the telephone, or engaging in one
meeting or another, these individuals are in continuous contact
and interaction with others. They usually possess mechanical, design,
or computer skills, as well as the enthusiasm to develop and use
them.
SUN opposite URANUS
Sun opposite Uranus indicates that by choice or by circumstances
(or both) these individuals are likely to be out of the main stream
of society in one way or another. They may suddenly shift gears
for reasons apparent to no one but themselves. At times they take
the opposite point of view just for the sake of being opposed. They
need to go their own way and keep their own schedule. Being confined
or pigeon holed is an unacceptable situation they resent.
SUN conjunct NEPTUNE
These individuals are not apt to be overly competitive or ambitious,
and when they succeed, it is often a fortunate result of being in
the right place at the right time. They are sensitive, intuitive
and spiritual. They are also deceptively strong, and masters of
disguise. Negative associations with this conjunction include those
who are easy victims or victimizers and those prone to hysterics,
self-delusion, and addiction. The positive indication are those
interested and possibly gifted in art, theater, dance, medicine,
counseling, or working with the underprivileged, handicapped or
minorities. Water is their natural environment.
HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment,
and family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning
as well as the end of various cycles in your life.
LEO on 4th HOUSE
Leo ruling the fourth house indicates individuals whose willpower
and drive is irrevocably influenced by family background. This does
not have to be a problem if they are inspired by a healthy well-adjusted
family life. Even if they are very independent or the most dedicated
world travelers, invariably they seem to end up back home. They
are sure to have an ego involvement with the physical aspects of
their home; its location, design and decoration. Their most creative
urges arise when it comes to situations and projects involving home
or when they are in that environment. Their egos may also prompt
them to search diligently for evidence of notable persons in their
family tree, and if such types are indeed present, they will be
quite eager to let others know about their prestigious family connection.
Many of these individuals rise to positions of honor as a result
of the help or connections they receive from their family. However,
it does not deny their meriting such assistance. The influence of
Leo suggests they may be involved in the buying or selling of homes
and real estate or in managing such properties.
VENUS in 4th HOUSE
Venus in the fourth house indicates those who feel more sociable
and romantic when in the comfort of their own home, and as a result
enjoy entertaining in this environment. They seek to make their
home beautiful and harmonious. Books, art, and music play prominent
roles in their home decor as well as their activities. They may
enjoy presenting musical programs at home or extend the hospitality
of their home to literary or art organizations. They may be involved
in real estate, architecture, interior or landscape design. Those
with culinary skills prepare and present dishes that are as beautiful
to look at as they are to eat. These individuals may come from a
wealthy or luxurious background. There is potential for inheritance
from the mother or mother's side of the family. Venus also suggests
they are apt to find a marriage partner in their home town. Negative
factors in their personality or background can mean lack of ability
to enjoy home or domestic life. These individuals may only use home
as a place to camp out, when they bother to come home at all. It
can also indicate difficult relationships with parents and other
family members.
VENUS conjunct MARS
Venus conjunct Mars indicates those with an aura of warmth and vitality
that lies close to the surface. It is very attractive to others
though they may not exactly realize what it is that makes these
individuals so appealing. They are oriented toward careers or aggressively
pursuing other important goals. As a rule they can usually be counted
on to have an enthusiastic response to sexual encounters. This aspect
also implies those with either talent for art or the appreciation
of it.
MARS in 4th HOUSE
Mars in the fourth house indicates those who concentrate much energy
and vitality on family and various aspects of home and domestic
life. This can have a wide range of potential outcomes. It may indicate
that their occupation involves real estate, interior design, architecture,
family counseling, or a business operated in their home. Fourth
house Mars is a strong indication of an active domestic environment.
There may be so much physical activity it is sometimes difficult
for them to generate serenity and quietude when the need arises.
Their residence is apt to be designed and/or decorated with a distinctly
masculine orientation using bold colors (perhaps a lot of red which
is a favorite Mars color). There is potential that the mother may
be overly domineering, or that she may be forced by circumstances
to play the role of father as well as mother. The negative potential
includes a volatile, perhaps violent domestic environment, as well
as the danger of accidents or fire in the home.
HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers,
capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children,
and speculative ventures.
VIRGO on 5th HOUSE
Virgo ruling the fifth house indicates individuals who seek to identify
their creative potential with intellectual skill. In other words,
they want the products of their imaginations or artistic skills
to be entertaining or beautiful, but also convey some special meaning
or moral principle. A fifth house Virgo influence suggests the possibility
of special communicative skills such as creative writing or the
ability to flawlessly impersonate others. Though not above taking
a chance on one throw of the dice, these individuals are more apt
to enjoy learning the real mechanics of gambling or trading stock
and commodities. They are invariably just as romantically attracted
to those with intellectual ability as they are to those who are
physically beautiful. The possible flaw may be their tendency to
be too critical of romantic partners. These individuals may also
have a tendency to be too critical of their children, especially
of their intellectual accomplishments. However, they usually enjoy
helping youngsters with their studies and inspiring them to broaden
their intellectual horizons.
HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid
and unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents
your health, and physical fitness.
SCORPIO on 6th HOUSE
Scorpio ruling the sixth house indicates those who need to control
their mundane environments. If they work at home they feel compelled
to manipulate the domestic environment. If there is too much chaos
at home, they may stay out of the house as much as possible. It
is not a good idea for others to visit them unannounced. Those who
work in an office or other environment outside the home, work better
without interference from co-workers. Many of these individuals
prefer to work for themselves, by themselves, or hold positions
that give them an element of personal control in handling certain
aspects of their assignments. Given a particular task or job, they
are capable of completely revising it, often with great success.
As a rule, they prefer service-oriented jobs such as teaching or
counseling. They pay close attention to details and many of them
possess formidable research and investigative abilities. When afflicted
with physical illness, they are likely to demonstrate astounding
recuperative powers. Whether by circumstance or design there is
apt to be an element of mystery or secrecy associated with their
job or the status of their health.
MOON in 6th HOUSE
Moon in the sixth house indicates vulnerability to a continuing
variety of medical complaints, especially stomach or digestive disorders.
The ailments of these individuals are usually not major threats
but can disrupt their work and routine schedules. They are apt to
operate a business from their home, or seek jobs related to homes,
food, family life, women, or children. They develop mothering instincts
and other strong emotional identification toward those who work
for or with them. They may work better with women than with men.
Work habits may be inconsistent as is their ability to stay in jobs.
Their general health and psychological outlook are strongly affected
by their work, and when the work environment or responsibilities
are upsetting for some reason, inefficiency and absences are the
result.
MOON trine MERCURY
Moon trine Mercury indicates those with sound, balanced minds well
integrated with their emotions. They have ability to develop organizational
techniques, as well as the capacity to ascertain and analyze details
even if they make no attempt to keep track of these details. Though
it may not be deliberate manipulation on their part they usually
know just what to say and when to say it. Instinctively knowing
what others want to hear and their clever communication skills are
the keys to their success.
MOON sextile VENUS
Moon sextile Venus is largely an aspect indicating an opportunist
approach to interactions with others. These individuals do not necessarily
establish relationships and social contacts with the sole intention
of gaining advantages, but as things usually turn out, they end
up being able to make use of the connections they make. However,
there is enough generosity, wit and charm in their personalities
that others don't seem to mind helping or being used by them no
matter what their motives.
MOON sextile MARS
Moon sextile Mars indicates that all the wit and verbal expressions
in the world are meaningless to these individuals unless these intangible
things are also accompanied by physical demonstrations. They seek
to carry out their plans and ideas, thoughts and desires, and they
expect others to do the same. Though they are likely to encounter
many situations to act, they are not ones to sit around, and many
go out and create their own opportunities.
MOON square JUPITER
Moon square Jupiter indicates those who tend to become too emotionally
involved in situations they should leave entirely alone. Their curiosity
aroused, they wander into these traps at every turn. A poor memory
does little to remind them of the last time they committed the same
error in judgment. These individuals are apt to have great communicative
skills in one form or another, and their ultimate success comes
though developing them.
MOON trine NEPTUNE
The influence of Moon trine Neptune is difficult to predict for
each individual who inherits it. Though it implies good fortune,
keen intuition, and remarkable artistic talent, it can also mean
addiction, laziness, and wastefulness. Developing a strong character
and clear sense of reality from youth is the key to success in making
this aspect work for them rather than against them.
HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures
of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others
tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters,
negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as
well as adversarial.
SAGITTARIUS on 7th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the seventh house indicates those whose marriage
or business partnerships require personal independence in order
to succeed. It may be their need, their partner's need, or something
they both require as a prerequisite for partnership. Relationships
that are bogged down with possessiveness or emotional dependency
usually fail. These individuals are apt to gain much personal growth
through marriage or business partnerships, since their partners
help expand their thinking and behavior in a number of areas. Other
possibilities include individuals who attract partners of Jupiterian
proportions, both physically as well as mentally; big thoughts,
grand schemes and/or huge physiques. Sagittarius ruling the seventh
house implies partnerships that are deliberately arranged to improve
the wealth or status of one of the partners. However, this maneuver
may backfire when the relationship eventually falls apart since
that is also one of the negative potentials.
HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and
the income you receive through marriage or business partner(s).
It describes your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and
use material assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The
eighth house also indicates sexual attitudes and behavior.
CAPRICORN on 8th HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the eighth house indicates those whose marriage
or business partners may have very few material resources to contribute.
It is also possible that their partners are unwilling to either
enjoy or share personal assets with them. This may also be the situation
with regard to anything these individuals inherit, that is, it may
be so small as to be negligible, or if it is a considerable estate,
it may turn out to bring more sorrow than joy to their lives. Capricorn's
influence can also be positive since it can engender responsible
handling of finances, which in turn, helps preserve and improve
the status of resources. If there are negative factors in their
personalities or backgrounds it can mean the possibility of inherited
illnesses or physical defects. These individuals may harbor aversions
to insurance matters and neglect them altogether, or worry excessively
about being adequately protected. They may fear death, and perhaps
even more, the tax collector. If not sufficiently in awe of the
IRS, they should be, since discrepancies in which they indulge in
this area are sure to be discovered.
HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing,
publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies,
religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits.
It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To
a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health
of your mother.
AQUARIUS on 9th HOUSE
Aquarius ruling the ninth house suggests that in the matter of higher
education or advanced training, these individuals may be better
suited to being self-taught. It isn't necessarily that they aren't
willing or able to pursue higher education, but there is potential
they may be too restless and independent to endure lectures and
formal instructions. Left to their own methods and motivations however,
they may become expert on subjects that interest them and develop
impressive mechanical or artistic skills with little or no formal
instruction. There is also implication with unpredictable Aquarius
that they may experience sudden or unexpected disruptions in their
education or training, and perhaps even be required to begin again
at a later time. Religious or philosophical views are apt to be
unpredictable and unorthodox. Even if they do not adopt totally
radical views, their ideas are vulnerable to sudden change and they
may rebel against traditional ideas and practices. They may also
lean so far toward the traditional as to become ultraconservative
and fanatical. This same point can be made about their ideas relating
to art, music, or literature.
URANUS in 9th HOUSE
Uranus in the ninth house indicates individuals who are self taught.
Those who do receive higher education or special training may end
up not using it in the career or work they eventually adopt. Uranus
in the ninth house does not imply lack of desire to pursue higher
education. It does suggest those who may be too restless to endure
lectures and instructions, especially concerning topics that do
not interest them. Left to their own devices and motivations, however,
these individuals become expert at things that interest them. With
little or no training, they can develop their mechanical skills
and artistic talents to a high level of competence. There is also
potential that their education or training may suddenly or unexpectedly
be disrupted. The influence of Uranus suggests those who are witty
and clever. Religious and philosophical views are unpredictable.
Some of them may lean so far toward the traditional as to become
ultra-conservative. Others will be attracted to more radical thinking.
Even if they do not actually adopt radical ideas, they rebel against
tradition, if only to experience the difference. Most of these individuals
eventually end up on the side of tradition. They enjoy making friends
everywhere they go. Unless other factors in their personality or
background prevent the desire or opportunity, these individuals
will be highly stimulated by travel in foreign countries or dealing
with those of another race or culture. Relations with in-laws, a
second marriage, court decisions, and the job or health of a parent
are all vulnerable to sudden and unexpected change.
JUPITER in 9th HOUSE
Jupiter in the ninth house indicates those with intellectual curiosity,
independent attitudes, idealism, and quickness of mind. They have
great respect for knowledge, but there is no guarantee these individuals
will be motivated to pursue higher education. It does suggest however,
that they have a nose for news as well as gossip. Avid readers of
newspapers and magazines, they are usually very well informed concerning
political and social issues. There is potential talent for languages,
diplomacy, or arbitration. They enjoy traveling, cultural pursuits,
gambling, sports and other activities that offer intellectual and
physical challenge. They have a strong religious or spiritual nature,
a wonderful sense of humor, and a gift for story telling. Negative
factors in their personality or background can mean mental laziness,
disorganization, dishonesty, and a strong flair for exaggeration
and overestimation.
HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals,
public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates
to your father and his influence in your life.
AQUARIUS on 10th HOUSE
Those with Aquarius ruling the tenth house are apt to attract public
attention. Noteworthy activities that bring them attention are likely
to be connected with some impact they make on society, which could
include anything from criminal acts to outstanding humanitarian
projects they have sponsored. Another implication of Aquarius is
that at some point, usually after they have already embarked on
certain careers or lifestyles, they are apt to take an unexpected
and completely different turn. It may not necessarily be their choice
to switch gears in mid-stream but even if they do not initiate such
radical changes, circumstances may occur that will force a change
in their directions and destinies. The influence of Aquarius is
also an implication that their career choices or long range goals
are related to some unusual or unorthodox area. Other, more traditional
areas that are possible include medicine, social organizations,
fund raising, international finance, communication or computers.
One of the parents, probably the father may be unorthodox in some
way, or they may experience a sudden or unexpected separation from
this parent.
HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you
belong, and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed
to wages earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in
the lives of others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social
or business associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes
and aspirations and capacity for happiness.
PISCES on 11th HOUSE
Pisces ruling the eleventh house indicates misguided or idealistic
notions about happiness. When these individuals attain what they
thought would make them happy, they are apt to discover it doesn't.
Depending on other factors in their individual personalities and
backgrounds, they may either never learn to be content, or will
manage to make the best of everything that comes their way. Pisces
on the eleventh house suggests they may fall in love with a friend.
They may also have to take responsibility for a child that is not
their own. Pisces implies the possibility of scandal connected with
friends and organizations to which they belong. Their friends are
apt to include those connected with the navy or maritime businesses,
photography, medicine, those who are disabled or confined, as well
as artists, musicians, dancers, actors, and clerics. Friendships
can be afflicted by deception, but they can also be very inspirational,
particularly sensitive and even clairvoyant. The negative potential
includes the possibility of loss through friends, or friends that
are addicted to drugs or alcohol or involved with secret or illegal
activities.
HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life;
your subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you
harm or work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to
sorrow, disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears
and worry. It also has connection with the job or health of your
marriage or business partner.
TAURUS on 12th HOUSE
Taurus ruling the twelfth house indicates the likelihood of individuals
that need a practical reason to become actively interested in understanding
or using the power of their subconscious, or, investigating dreams
or the past. However, if they become convinced there is some advantage
to be gained, they patiently and thoroughly study these things.
Negative potentials for Taurus on the twelfth house include individuals
who become trapped by the past and cannot let go of it in order
to move on with the rest of their life. They may be trapped or deceived
in other ways as well. They may, for example, become victims of
relationships with those who threaten "suicide or worse" or, the
reverse can also be true and they are the ones who use this destructive
ploy. The influence of Taurus on the twelfth house implies the possibility
their marriage partners are employed in research, banking and finance,
agriculture, renovation, conservation, psychology, counseling, or
work that involves an element of secrecy.
