PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned with your individual traits.
The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon),
learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and
sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical
energy (Mars). The second section describes how well you deal internally with the external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations (Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals, morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and distribution of natural resources (Pluto). SUN The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about. It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take, and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect and authority, to impress and influence others. SUN in TAURUS As the second sign of the zodiac, Taurus represents the second stage in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. The first thing man uses are his physical senses. What he can see, touch, and physically hold represents the reality of his position. It is why the celestial heritage of Taureans is to conserve physical resources and possessively cling to people whom they regard as their own. Their strongest desire is for personal security. Broken promises or the betrayal of others are threats to this security. Their reaction to such personal affronts is likely to be bitter, and those who inflict such abuses will not be given another chance. Disappointed Taureans can behave in a manner totally against their own best interests. They may completely retreat from the world, or, go in the opposite direction and become promiscuous. Whatever direction is taken, they may end up sacrificing the meaningful, enduring relationships they really need to feel emotionally secure. Taureans are stubborn and impervious to changes not of their own making. However, they are able to accomplish things in life because of their tenacity in sticking to projects in which others may have long since lost patience or stamina. The astrological symbol for Taurus is the Bull and indeed, the stubborn bullheaded nature of the Taurean personality can be extremely formidable to those who have the unfortunate experience of coming up against it. On the positive side, their quiet strength and determination inspires others to trust them. Because they dislike being unable to rely on others, they are usually very dependable themselves. Taureans are loving and patient when trying to accomplish what they think is worthwhile and when dealing with people they care about. As a rule, they do not enjoy surprises or spontaneous changes. They are far more comfortable when given sufficient time to prepare for things and allowed to follow their planned agenda. Taureans react to what they experience by assessing its possible worth. That is, before they take physical action, before they sort out their emotional involvement, and before they reason it out intellectually, they ascertain what tangible advantages are to be gained from the experience. What appears too abstract or vague fails to attract more than their passing interest. They need a definite purpose in what they do and in relationships they form. Because they don't want to be unnecessarily burdened, they willingly rid themselves of worn out items, but only if they cannot find any other way to make use of them. Venus, planet of beauty and pleasure, rules Taurus, which means that by nature, people born with Sun in Taurus are tactile and sensuous, seekers of personal comfort and physical pleasure. By design however, they are pragmatic with an appreciative eye for both monetary value as well as aesthetic beauty. They are lovers of nature and natural things. Their harmony in life is tied to reality and the material world, but sometimes they get carried away with personal acquisitions. When they go too far afield they tend to either accumulate wealth and never use it, or recklessly squander it without improving the quality or enjoyment of their lives. As a result of their addiction to personal pleasure and comfort, Taureans can be very lazy as well as very vulnerable to the unpleasant consequences that invariably result from overindulging in rich food and other physical pleasures. Their natural cautiousness saves them from making mistakes, but it can also prevent them from taking advantage of valuable opportunities. As a rule, Taureans are physically strong and solidly built. Even those who are not fat, may be physically more dense per pound of body weight. Many of them favor weight lifting or other body-building routines as a way to keep in shape. They enjoy participating in sports that require strength and endurance. They usually like to putter around the garden, and readily engage in other outdoor activities such as picnics, hikes, and trips to botanical gardens or a zoo. They love music and art and may have considerable talent in these areas. They often have a pleasant speaking or singing voice. Though Taureans tend to be rather subdued, they have a lively sense of humor, and enjoy socializing. Taurus colors are brown, russet, and turquoise. Vulnerable parts of the body are the neck, throat, shoulders, and upper torso. Stiff necks, sore throats, and earaches are common Taurean complaints. The emerald, a variety of the mineral beryl and as costly as a diamond, is the Taurus birthstone. The emerald's rich green color is suitably Taurean since it is the color of money, green pastures, and serenity. The emerald has a six-sided geometric form. Six is the number assigned to Venus which in turn, is the planetary ruler of Taurus. Flowers for Taurus are the rose (red), daisy, lily, and daffodil. MOON The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences. It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional, and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment. It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important females in your life. MOON in VIRGO Except in the pursuit of pleasure (to which many of them can be quite dedicated) those born with the moon in an Earth sign are not emotionally spontaneous. They don't nonchalantly accept the responsibility of long-term relationships, or analyze emotional commitments merely as a mental exercise. They may hesitate to move at all unless they feel they are on solid ground, or there is some personal advantage to be gained by their emotional involvement. As lunar Earth sign personalities, those with moon in Virgo are guarded about their feelings. They consciously or subconsciously put up invisible barriers. However, in many cases they secretly hope others will view these barriers as a challenge in getting to know them. Their passion can sometimes be confused with compassion. An over-critical or too analytical approach to emotional situations makes it difficult for them, as well as others involved, to freely or spontaneously express feelings. Serious-minded, with common sense about most things, they can be surprisingly unrealistic at times. Their creativity always has some practical element. As writers or artists, for example, they usually stick to subjects or situations they know best. Virgo moon personalities are emotionally adaptable. They instinctively seem to know what it takes to make others feel better. They make many friends because of their sympathetic nature, but it also means they are vulnerable to being exploited. Though they are not all scholars, they are likely to be fond of books and writing. Intellectual curiosity gives them a penchant for gathering information that can develop into serious research endeavors, or turn out to be just a fondness for gossip. At times they can be overly fastidious, usually with regard to eating habits. Concern with health makes many of them outstanding health care professionals. Their own preoccupation with health can become exaggerated to the point of hypochondria, or they can be guilty of using maladies to attract sympathy. They are mentally and emotionally stimulated by travel, communication, and information. Women with Virgo moon may encounter sorrow through marriage. They can be dreadful nags themselves or become the victims of a nagging spouse. Men with Virgo moon tend to idealize their wives but may not be very passionate toward them. Their quiet emotional nature tends toward domesticity, though they may also have a desire for intrigue and flamboyancy. MERCURY Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information. It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there? MERCURY in TAURUS Individuals with Mercury in Taurus don't usually jump to conclusions or easily accept new ideas. Their thinking is structured and conservative, but their ideas are likely to be practical and constructive. If they believe an idea or method has no value, they abandon it for more useful endeavors. The stubborn nature of Taurus implies an ability in these individuals to develop great powers of concentration. However, unless they accept the need to learn in the first place, they obstinately refuse to concentrate or be taught. Their most productive approach to learning is through practical application. Once they see the practicality of something, they are motivated to learn the theory behind it. When it comes to the matter of learning and transportation they don't care to waste too much time. However, haste in getting where they are going is not as much of a goal as being able to take the most direct route. VENUS Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance, marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit of pleasure. VENUS in TAURUS Though they enjoy social gatherings, individuals with natal Venus in Taurus are not likely to rush around slapping everyone on the back, spouting one-liners or the latest gossip. They are not particularly glib or talkative unless other factors support it. Most of the time they prefer to keep a low but friendly profile. Consciously or subconsciously, they tend to make practical use of their social relationships. They are fond of music, art, food and fine wine, as well as all the other sensual delights of life. They can also become overly influenced by the lure of wealth and status. Warm, charming, and romantic, their affections are deep and long-lasting. When they feel insecure in relationships they can become possessive and jealous. MARS Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills. It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations, and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter. MARS in ARIES Individuals with natal Mars in Aries have a great deal of raw energy. Whether or not they will make full and productive use of all this energy is not a certainty, since the aspects Mars has with other natal planets as well as its house position in their individual natal chart, are other influencing factors. It does seem certain that frustration occurs if their energy isn't given some kind of physical outlet. If the Aries aggressiveness is more prominent in their nature, they are in continual combat, verbally or physically. Whatever their outer personality, they are liable to be courageous and inspirational when there is need to evoke such passions. Most of these individuals are content just to keep busy. They are hard workers, and constantly on the go, whether for business or pleasure. JUPITER Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels; physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society. JUPITER in TAURUS Individuals with natal Jupiter in Taurus are usually concerned with the physical world, its pleasures and its traditional structures. Comfortable with wealth and status, they use their advantages not only for personal growth and progress, but also to improve the quality of life for others. They want the growth and expansion they experience to be real and tangible. In other words, they want to physically see their progress, to feel it or hold it. SATURN Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and meaning. SATURN in CANCER Individuals with Saturn in Cancer find their home or domestic life limited in some way. Family responsibilities may severely limit their own activities. They may be deprived of a home or family when young, or, as adults their efforts to establish their own home or family may be restricted. The nurturing they received or their own nurturing abilities may be limited. Relationships with women and young children are also liable to be inhibited. There is also the positive potential that their creative talents will be constructively developed and applied. URANUS Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures. Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique. Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers, and the media. URANUS in AQUARIUS The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Aquarius deal with emancipation and independence. They seek to overcome restrictions imposed by traditional institutions and concepts. Individuals and institutions that fail to make changes to accommodate the new wave will be discarded. However, that which is perceived as having enduring value will be treasured and uplifted to new heights. NEPTUNE Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism, and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years, taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs. Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion, disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment, and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs. NEPTUNE in LEO The last period of Neptune in Leo was 1914-1929. Leo rules monarchy, entertainment and art. The Russian monarchy ended, largely because it refused (in typical Neptunian fashion) to deal with the troubled conditions that existed in that country. The movie industry saw its greatest growth and development. The avant-garde nature of Leo combined with Neptune produced the Dada artistic and literary movement which in turn, led to surrealism. PLUTO Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope. Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding. PLUTO in CANCER Pluto's last period in Cancer was 1912-1939. Cancer rules women and the family. During the 20's the attitudes and roles of women were transformed. They demanded greater freedom in society and release from the drudgery of domestic chores. As a result of the increasing number of women seeking employment outside of the home, family life also changed dramatically. PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope. The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality and other traits as they are outlined in Part One. HOUSE 1 The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health and the type of illnesses you may experience. SCORPIO ASCENDANT A Scorpio Ascendant indicates individuals who are likely to have strong physiques and tremendous physical stamina. They are often far more stubborn than they seem on the surface, and assiduously stick to their goals as long as they feel there is a chance they will be successful. It is difficult to convince them to change their minds once their decisions are made. They are emotionally oriented, but their emotional vulnerability is apt to be hidden unless their natal sun or moon happens to be in Cancer or Pisces. They are are friendly and while some are rather quiet, many of them also have far more gregarious personalities and don't mind being in the spotlight. Rarely do these individuals possess the sinister or mysterious personalities that popular literature tends to associate with the sign of Scorpio. They are keen observers and shrewd speculators. Scorpio is ruled by Pluto and, secondarily, by this sign's ancient ruler, the planet Mars. Both planetary influences may be seen in the personalities of these individuals. They are ambitious, energetic, and seek activities that are economically rewarding, as well as mentally or physically challenging. The jealousy associated with Mars and Pluto is minimal unless other factors in their individual personalities support such a trait. Many of them possess the cleverness and mechanical ability associated with Mars, as well as the innate resourcefulness associated with Pluto. They are attracted to others with strong, magnetic personalities. They are oriented toward gathering resources of all kinds. For example, many of these individuals consciously or subconsciously tend to establish relationships with strong or powerful people in the belief such contacts may prove useful to them in some way. They can be quite secretive about personal affairs, a trait that often escapes the attention of most people they meet. They are often so accommodating and pleasant that, unless others make serious attempts to probe beneath their surface, their real personalities and activities stay hidden indefinitely. They have remarkable recuperative powers that allow them to recover from physical, mental or economic adversities that would destroy many others. When properly focused, their energy is formidable and they quietly keep going long after everyone else runs out of steam. A Scorpio Ascendant indicates potential for afflictions to the head and face as well as illnesses affecting the reproductive organs. HOUSE 2 The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates the values and priorities you establish throughout life. SAGITTARIUS on 2nd HOUSE Sagittarius ruling the second house indicates those who would very much like to succeed on their own. They may work for others but would rather work for themselves. They value independence, especially in monetary matters, and will thrive on the challenge involved in making their own fortunes. The Sagittarian influence is no guarantee they will end up being self-employed, or that even those who are self-employed will be successful. It is however, an indication that their income may be derived through travel or trade in foreign goods and services, consulting, publishing, theater, education, sports, or religion. The negative potential of Sagittarius ruling the second house, includes the possibility of individuals who marry strictly for monetary gain or acquire money or property through dishonest means, or individuals who become victims of such circumstances. The influence of Sagittarius does not necessarily imply great wealth or luck in monetary matters or inhibit the opportunity for it. But there is implication that these individuals are very generous with the potential tendency to spend great sums of money and to waste money as well as other resources. HOUSE 3 The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation, self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also describes the job or health of your father. CAPRICORN on 3rd HOUSE Capricorn ruling the third house indicates individuals whose learning processes or communicative skills may be limited or frustrated, or their education is limited. It implies the possibility of lack of imagination, reluctance of verbal expression, learning disabilities, and sight, hearing, or speech impediments. These individuals may view educational tasks as unpleasant or tedious, but later in life they may be more receptive, even eager, to learn and to communicate their thoughts and ideas. Another area influenced by Capricorn on the third house involves relationships with siblings. It can mean, for example, a great age difference between these individuals and their siblings and the relationships are necessarily limited by the generation gap, or it can mean they may have responsibility for a sibling. Another common occurrence under Capricorn's influence is an extremely close relationship with a sibling that fosters too much dependence in one or both of them. Relationships with neighbors may be restricted. The positive side of Capricorn's influence implies long and stable relationships with neighbors and siblings, as well as talent and organizational ability in dealing with ideas and information. HOUSE 4 The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning as well as the end of various cycles in your life. AQUARIUS on 4th HOUSE Aquarius ruling the fourth house indicates the likelihood of unpredictable or unusual situations regarding childhood, a parent, and adult home life. These individuals are apt to live a very different lifestyle or in a different place or area than the one in which they were brought up. This may be a deliberate choice, but it can also be the result of circumstances beyond their control. They are apt to spend a certain period of time living under abnormal or unusual conditions. They tend to favor unusual designs and architecture and many of them enjoy building their own homes. Inside their houses their preferences are either antiques and an assortment of odd or interesting furnishings and designs, or very contemporary, futuristic styles. In many cases they enjoy mixing the very old with the very new in unusual eclectic arrangements. Everyone is welcomed into their homes as a friend, and their residences are apt to be favorite gathering places for groups and organizations to which they belong. URANUS in 4th HOUSE Uranus in the fourth house indicates those who experience unpredictable, unusual or unorthodox circumstances regarding home and family. These individuals are apt to adopt a very different life style or reside in a much different type of place than the one in which they were brought up. Choosing a dramatically different life style or environment may be deliberate on their part, but it is just as likely to occur as a result of circumstances over which they have no control. Other potentials include those who experience sudden separation from a parent or from home and family, and those who are forced by circumstances to live for a time under abnormal or unusual conditions. The influence of Uranus also suggests those who tend to favor odd or unusual designs and architecture in their home and its furnishings. They enjoy mixing the very old with the very new in eclectic arrangements. Everyone is welcomed into their home as a friend, and their home is likely to be the favorite gathering place for the groups and organizations to which they belong. HOUSE 5 The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers, capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children, and speculative ventures. PISCES on the 5th HOUSE Pisces ruling the fifth house indicates the likelihood of secret romance. Other possibilities include individuals who indulge in, or are victims of romantic deception. They may become romantically involved with someone of a minority group, or who is disabled, addicted to drugs or alcohol, or works in medicine, the navy, maritime industries, or areas that involve the feet which means anything from being a dancer to working in a shoe store. It is also possible that their children (or lovers) may have remarkable artistic talent. They may suffer the loss of children, or have to assume responsibility for the adoption or care of children. There is danger of deception and loss in speculative ventures. Though it is also possible, if supported by other factors in their personalities and backgrounds, that they can develop valuable intuition in this area. If this is the case, they may be very lucky gamblers, but should never take their good fortune for granted. Vacations should be spent on ocean cruises or at least near water, especially the ocean. HOUSE 6 The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your health, and physical fitness. ARIES on 6th HOUSE Aries ruling the sixth house indicates individuals who concentrate much energy and vitality in their job or daily responsibilities. They may also be inclined to pursue health and physical fitness programs, sports, or animal husbandry. They are likely to have mechanical skills, which makes many of them inventors, surgeons, tailors, machinists, engineers, or builders of one sort or another. Those who possess managerial skills are tireless administrators who know how to extract maximum efficiency from their staffs. Preferring an active working environment, there is also the strong possibility they will deliberately choose a job associated with an element of risk, or work for a security force or branch of the armed services. Working for, or running a company involved in manufacture or sale of weapons, knives, explosive materials, or fire fighting equipment is also well within the potential occupations of those with a sixth house Aries influence. They are prone to high blood pressure, rashes, fever, headaches, or stress-related ailments. MARS in 6th HOUSE Mars in the sixth house indicates those who concentrate much energy and vitality in their work. It indicates mechanical skills, and many of these individuals are inventors, surgeons, tailors, machinists, engineers, builders, and inveterate tinkerers. Those with managerial skills are tireless administrators who know how to extract maximum efficiency from their staffs. There is potential for them to choose a line of work that involves an element of risk. The risk could be physical, economic, or, in the case of those who work with very ill or disturbed people, it could be emotional. Their work may involve manufacture or sale of knives, weapons, explosives, or fire-fighting equipment. Whatever their job, they are happiest in active environments that offer a wide variety of challenges and tasks. The influence of Mars also suggests enthusiasm for maintaining health and physical fitness. If other factors contribute to giving them a high level of energy, they have no trouble engaging in a variety of activities that keep them in shape. They must guard against high blood pressure, fever, headaches, and stress. MARS square SATURN Mars square Saturn indicates those apt to have impatience and inner negativity, which may not always reflect in their personalities. They often have a keen sense of humor and a ready laugh but are nevertheless what might be considered "straight arrows. " They are usually ambitious, but their physical energy and enthusiasm may falter in the middle of a project, leaving the task of finishing to others. Sometimes it is a case of those who refuse to falter or give up, taking on all the responsibilities themselves or being forced to assume them. MARS square NEPTUNE One of the biggest frustrations of those with Mars square Neptune is having their efforts go unrewarded, or worse, having their efforts make no effect at all. Disorganization, disorderliness, and lack of motivation needlessly complicates their lives. Getting things done often seems overwhelming, even though they can be deluded into thinking everything will turn out all right. In some situations this is just as well since they save themselves needless aggravation. HOUSE 7 The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters, negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as well as adversarial. TAURUS on 7th HOUSE Taurus ruling the seventh house indicates individuals who are apt to be outgoing and people-oriented. Without constant exposure to others they can become withdrawn and unmotivated because they depend on such interactions for inspiration and feedback. They may prefer doing most things in partnership, and their success in life is often a direct result of their cooperation with or through the influence of other people. The influence of Taurus implies a strong element of trust in their association with others, and that they derive much pleasure and enjoyment from marriage. It also indicates that marriage, business partnerships, and relations with others in general, should be fairly stable and enduring. The negative potential for Taurus on the seventh house indicates individuals who have difficulty finding the right partner, as well as those who possess antisocial attitudes or engender such feelings in others. The influence of Taurus on the seventh house implies individuals who want to use whatever people skills they possess in a practical way. As a result, many of them become lawyers, contract negotiators, agents or counselors. SUN in 7th HOUSE Sun in the seventh house suggests people-oriented individuals. This angular sun position indicates those whose ego is tied to partnerships, cooperative efforts, and how they relate to other people in general. Even those who are very independent are likely to find that their best achievements are made possible by or with a partner or partners. To suggest that these individuals are unable to succeed by working alone would be a fallacy and an excuse for idleness. The seventh house sun merely implies that they are likely to achieve success through opportunities others provide, but not because others have done their work for them. Their strong feeling that fairness and equality should exist at all levels of society is sometimes at odds with their actions or life style. SUN trine MOON Sun trine Moon indicates individuals apt to be pretty well satisfied with themselves. This aspect is not a certain indication they will have an outward tendency for self-promotion, and for some, it may be more about having an inner contentment that helps them stand up to the trials of rejection and other personal disappointments in life. They have a strong (or perhaps just lucky) life force and energy when survival becomes the issue. SUN conjunct VENUS These individuals usually possess natural charm and social ease. Their egos are tied into their relations and interactions with others. They need to be liked and seek a wide variety of social contacts. The negative side of this aspect includes those who are antisocial and shun the company of others, or become rude and hostile. They are susceptible to flattery and not above using it themselves with successful effect. They are apt to be attracted to art, music, and beauty in all forms. Unless there are negative factors in their personalities or backgrounds to discourage such traits, they have good humor and the ability to flirt without offense. SUN conjunct JUPITER These individuals have generous natures, with enormous capacity for enjoying life and wanting the very best of everything. Whether or not they pursue a formal education, their intellectual curiosity compels them to want to know everything and gives them a healthy respect for knowledge. Negative associations of this conjunction lead in opposite directions; ruined health and finances caused by constant overestimation and overindulgence, or, miserable miserliness inspired by exaggerated self- denial. On the positive side these individuals are true spiritual leaders, gifted actors, mimics, inspired teachers, writers, and artists. VENUS in 7th HOUSE Venus in the seventh house indicates outgoing, people-oriented individuals who are diplomatic, charming, and polite to everyone they meet. Without constant exposure to other people, these individuals can become withdrawn and unmotivated, because consciously or subconsciously, they depend on such interactions for inspiration and feedback. However needful they may be for the company of others, it usually has to be on a one-to-one basis, since many of these individuals dislike waiting in line and hate to get caught in crowds. They have the capacity to derive much pleasure and enjoyment from marriage, though the mere presence of Venus in the seventh house is no guarantee of wedded bliss. Whether or not they are married, these individuals are likely to achieve some of their greatest successes through partnerships and cooperative efforts of one kind or another. The negative potential includes difficulty in finding the right partner, and lack ability to cooperate or get along with others. VENUS conjunct JUPITER Venus conjunct Jupiter indicates those likely to have generous, philanthropic natures unless severe afflictions occur in their personalities and backgrounds. There is certain to be cultural pursuits and appreciation of knowledge, though there may not be patience enough, or perhaps too much laziness for great scholarship, unless a high motivational factor presents itself. There is love of adventure, drama, and a keen and ready wit. JUPITER in 7th HOUSE Jupiter in the seventh house indicates those whose marriage and business partnerships require a certain amount of independence. Their alliances cannot be bogged down with possessiveness or emotional dependency. Marriage, joint ventures, and partnership with others is likely to broaden their intellectual horizon, increase their economic or social status, and expand their life-style. Their marriage or business partner may tend to propose big ideas and grandiose schemes, and/or be physically above average in size. These individuals may be regarded by others as scholarly, influential, generous, or spiritual, sometimes without much justification for such opinions. Females with seventh house Jupiter often marry men that resemble or characterize their father. The negative potential includes those who marry solely to improve their wealth or status, and those who take their partner too much for granted. MERCURY in 7th HOUSE Ideas and intellectual stimulation derived through communication and interaction with others is vital to those with Mercury in the seventh house. It also indicates more than one marriage partner, and in some societies it may happen at the same time. They may have more than one business partner, or several partnerships concerning different enterprises. Partnership may be formed with siblings or with aunts and uncles on the mother's side of the family. There is much communication with partners, and the partners themselves are apt to very talkative, intellectually curious and mechanically skilled. Mercury also implies excellent memory for names, faces, and facts about others. MERCURY sextile SATURN Opportunities that allow individuals with Mercury sextile Saturn to demonstrate or make use of intellectual or technical skills usually come through meticulous planning or the contacts they make with older, established, or more experienced individuals. This aspect is a good indication that diligence in developing their intelligence and skills makes them highly deserving of attention and help they receive. MERCURY square URANUS When it comes to expressing ideas, the thoughts generated by those with Mercury Uranus are either futuristic concepts or center around the past. This does not leave the success of their endeavors in jeopardy, but can cause confusion in trying to get projects off the ground when those around them believe they are too far ahead of the times or too far behind. They are apt to be clever and original thinkers. One of their complaints is having to look after boring details, and one of their problems is keeping track of papers and information no matter how organized they are. MERCURY sextile NEPTUNE Intellectual growth is often the motivation for individuals with Mercury sextile Neptune to also attain spiritual and psychological growth. Many of them possess precognitive abilities that can be developed into remarkable powers. Learning to help themselves is often the way in which they end up helping others. Their jobs are apt to involve working with those who are handicapped, underprivileged, or institutionalized. HOUSE 8 The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and use material assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house also indicates sexual attitudes and behavior. GEMINI on 8th HOUSE Gemini ruling the eighth house indicates individuals who are apt to give a great deal of thought to the occult and arcane matters, psychological and psychic phenomena, and planes of existence beyond physical reality. They are also likely to be involved in such mundane things as stock market and commodity investments, tax matters, insurance, or in handling the financial affairs of others. The negative potential includes individuals who encounter unfortunate circumstances in these matters, or who get endlessly bogged down in details regarding them. It also indicates they may give more time and attention to thinking or talking about sexual matters than to physical participation. There may have to be mental as well as physical stimulation for these individuals to experience satisfactory sexual relations. Many of them can be secretive or engage in secret communications. They are apt to be quite brief and to the point. However when their interest is stimulated, they can engage in endless discussion and analysis, often exhausting the energies and informational resources of those around them. PLUTO in 8th HOUSE Pluto in the eighth house indicates those who possess formidable strength and endurance; a truly remarkable life force. However, Pluto in the eighth house also indicates those with a dark side to their nature, a side that can cause cynicism and despair. Pluto's influence in the eighth house implies a strong sexual appetite that often plays a major positive or negative role in their life. Sexual urges can be and often are sublimated into other activities, but however they choose to apply such energy, indifference to sex is unlikely to occur. The ability to concentrate their energy and attention helps these individuals develop remarkable investigative and research skills. They are resourceful and observant, with great interest in human motivations and behavior. Pluto's influence in the eighth house indicates secrecy and hidden control or manipulation related to sexual matters, legacies, debts, joint income and other resources. HOUSE 9 The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing, publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies, religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits. It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health of your mother. CANCER on 9th HOUSE Cancer ruling the ninth house indicates strong emotional identification with higher learning whether or not they get a degree, with cultural pursuits whether or not they have special talent, with publishing whether or not they are writers, with travel whether or not they go anywhere, with religion whether or not they are religious, or with politics whether or not they ever run for public office. The emotional identification they develop is also likely to leave them vulnerable not only to the influence of others but to extremes in thinking and behavior with regard to these areas. Cancer's influence presents the possibility they will reside near a university, church, theater, or museum, or become educated in a foreign country. It also suggests their mothers may be of foreign birth or of a different race or culture than their fathers. SATURN in 9th HOUSE Ninth house Saturn indicates those who succeed in life by reaching beyond their immediate environment for new experiences and understanding. These individuals are, however, apt to be forced by choice or circumstance to be extremely practical about how they do it. Advanced training and higher education, for example, are not undertaken as a mere whim or luxury, or they may have to wait until later in life to accomplish them. Sooner or later they understand the importance of taking a serious approach to such matters when they come to rely heavily on whatever knowledge and skills they have attained. Living in a foreign country or dealing with those of another race or culture is apt to present some difficult or burdensome situation for them. Religion can impose severe limitations rather than spiritual freedom. These individuals may have significant responsibilities where the job or health of a parent is concerned. Circumstances related to in-laws or a second marriage may be long-lasting and stable, though the negative potential suggests added responsibilities are also likely. Patience and persistence when confronted with problems in any of the areas just described, are the keys to overcoming them. SATURN conjunct NEPTUNE Saturn conjunct Neptune is a generational aspect that implies bankruptcy unless other planetary aspects made at the same time soften the blow. Debts of all kinds must be paid. Societal institutions that are without substance will crumble. Individuals born under this influence may or may not have personal financial difficulties, but they are likely to have to deal on some level with such conditions in society. NEPTUNE in 9th HOUSE Neptune in the ninth house indicates those who are highly intelligent but also vulnerable to mental confusion, fanaticism or misplaced idealism. They may be totally organized and efficient in some things, while appallingly inattentive to facts and details in others. Depending on other factors in their personality and background, they may be a dangerous master of the art of deception or a highly successful promoter. They are apt to have interest in religion and spiritualism. Neptune's negative influence includes the possibility of disillusionment, deception, or illegal activities in a foreign country or involving foreigners. On the positive side, Neptune's influence can mean that their experiences with those of another race or culture may be highly inspirational or spiritual. Neptune in the ninth house implies work or interest in publishing (especially of occult or religious writing) or counseling. These individuals are also compassionate judges and sensitive teachers. A ninth house Neptune suggests a parent (mother) or a sibling's spouse may suffer from disabilities, drugs or alcohol, or they may be employed in a job that involves maritime industry, religion, photography, medicine, psychology, footwear, or those who are institutionalized, disabled, or minorities. Relations with in-laws, a second marriage, and court decisions can become confused or undermined by deception, misunderstandings, or other influences. HOUSE 10 The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals, public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates to your father and his influence in your life. LEO on 10th HOUSE Leo ruling the tenth house indicates those with strong egos that must find expression in some public manner. There is potential that the father plays a pivotal role in shaping their destinies. They may, for example, be given special strength or assistance from this parent. Even in the case of loss or absence of the father, it does not have to be a negative factor since it can also have the effect of making them stronger and able to push forward. Other possibilities include the fact that they may have responsibility for their fathers or bear a close physical resemblance to him. The potential of Leo's influence suggests that they will seek to attain positions of great honor or authority, or lead public lives as actors, politicians, lecturers, and spokespersons. They may work for themselves or occupy an elevated position in the company that employs them. Many of these individuals find it difficult to remain content solely with home and family. Even those who lovingly (and efficiently) manage family responsibilities will also seek to accomplish their personal goals. MOON in 10th HOUSE Moon in the tenth house indicates individuals who consciously or subconsciously seek public acclaim. Someone in their family may achieve fame (or at least notoriety). Though all of them may not be able to claim widespread fame, they often gain limited public recognition as a lecturer, cleric, business leader, politician, or public official. These individuals may care more for keeping up appearances than they do about what happens to them privately. The moon's influence implies emotional satisfaction through a career or long-range goals. It also includes those who participate in a family business or follow the same career as that of a parent. Even those who devote themselves to home and family gain emotional feedback, renewed energy, inspiration and enthusiasm from being out in public. MOON trine VENUS Getting others to cooperate with them is almost always an easy matter for those with Moon trine Venus, often requiring little or no real effort on their part. This aspect implies easy charm, gracious manners, and the potential for artistic talent. They have keen intellects and highly developed social and diplomatic skills, though how they apply these skills or how well they use them depends on other factors in their personalities. MOON trine JUPITER Moon trine Jupiter indicates those who get away with a lot. They can talk themselves into or out of any situation. Surrounded by, perhaps even responsible for scandal or criminal activities, they may be the only one to escape the consequences. Wastefulness, laziness, exaggeration and taking too much for granted are all potential traits accorded to this aspect, but so are great talent, genius, spirituality, and a bent for politics. HOUSE 11 The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong, and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations and capacity for happiness. VIRGO on 11th HOUSE Virgo ruling the eleventh house indicates those who use friends and acquaintances as sounding boards and inspiration for their thoughts and ideas. They are also apt to be involved in fraternal associations and societies, playing active roles by holding office or serving on various committees. They are the ones likely to write or publish the newsletters or official communications of the organizations to which they belong. Their friends are apt to include those who are in the field of health and social services, as well as teachers, secretaries, clerks, writers, artists, designers, and those who are mechanically inclined. They will have more acquaintances than close friends, which may or may not have to do with the fact that many of their contacts are based on mental rapport or for practical purposes rather than emotional commitments. The negative potential of Virgo's eleventh-house influence includes the possibility of being too critical of friends, being taken advantage of by friends, antisocial attitudes, and that they are too eccentric in their ideas or communication. The positive side of Virgo's influence is the willingness to accept responsibility for friends. HOUSE 12 The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow, disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry. It also has connection with the job or health of your marriage or business partner. LIBRA on 12th HOUSE Libra ruling the twelfth house indicates individuals who can be extremely sensitive when it comes to relationships. This includes not just their own feelings but how they perceive or understand the feelings of others. They may, for example, have uncanny instincts concerning the subtle aspects of handling relationships that may not be obvious even to those with whom they share such relationships. The negative potential can mean disappointment or sorrow connected with relationships, and partnerships in particular. A lack of-self confidence can mean the tendency to like or even fall in love with anyone who pays them the slightest attention. Relationships can become a trap in other ways. They may become victims of those who threaten "suicide or worse", or, the reverse can also be true and they are the ones to use this destructive ploy in order to hold on to those who threaten to abandon them. The positive side of this influence is the possibility of artistic and musical talent. Their marriage partners may be employed in areas that involve the law, art, music, or the fashion or beauty industry.
