PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned
with your individual traits.
The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon),
learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and
sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical
energy (Mars).
The second section describes how well you deal internally with the
external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for
happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations
(Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative
ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status
quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals,
morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with
or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government
and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and
distribution of natural resources (Pluto).
SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential
and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about.
It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take,
and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is
your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect
and authority, to impress and influence others.
SUN in SCORPIO
As the eighth sign of the zodiac, Scorpio represents the eighth stage
in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. This stage
is concerned with an emotional development that goes beyond Cancerian
concern with home and family. Scorpio's emotional involvement is not
based on love or pleasure, but on the control and understanding of
human emotions and the role they play in the mysterious process of
life and death. Though all Scorpios do not spend their lives pondering
the mysteries of life and death, most of them are inquisitive, probing
individuals. They are fascinated with how things work, especially
people. Their mental and physical powers of recuperation are remarkable,
and truly evolved Scorpios can learn to use their power to help and
inspire others.
Scorpios are stubborn and impervious to changes not of their own making.
However they accomplish many things in life because of their tenacity
in sticking with projects when others lose patience and stamina. On
the surface they may seem easy-going, congenial, and gregarious but
they are also extremely tenacious with a tendency to manipulate and
control. Keys to their success are a strong will and the ability to
get to the bottom of things. They want answers and doggedly persist
until they get them. Astrological symbols for Scorpio are the scorpion
and the eagle. They representative the potency and range of the formidable
power and control that Scorpios can develop.
Scorpios react emotionally to everything they experience in life.
Before they take physical action, before they sort out the practicality
of what they are doing, and before they reason things out intellectually,
they express their feelings. Though their emotions are the strongest
motivational factor in their behavior, unlike the emotionally oriented
Cancerians and Pisceans, Scorpios are not apt to wear their hearts
on their sleeves. They consciously or subconsciously want to dominate
relationships and rarely exhibit emotions openly. Even when they seem
to be open, they always hold back something of themselves. They may
not intentionally want to be mysterious but many of them manage to
appear enigmatic anyway. They do not like being crossed or manipulated,
and react to such treatment with sarcasm and vengefulness.
Modern astrologers assign Pluto, planet of intensity and depth, as
the ruler of Scorpio. Ancient astrologers (unaware of Pluto's existence)
assigned Mars, planet of fire and energy, as the ruler of Scorpio.
Both of these planets can be seen to influence the nature of those
born in Scorpio. The focus and concentration of their expressions
and personality makes them appear magnetic and powerful. The fiery
energy of Mars that is exhibited when they are enthusiastic attracts
and inspire others. Their intensity can be overwhelming but also subtle.
Their considerable energy is not aroused or employed just to have
something to do as is often the case with Aries, the other Mars-ruled
personality. Unlike Aries, Scorpio is not openly combative unless
it becomes necessary. Their privacy is tightly protected, and others
get to know them only up to a certain point. They may not show any
sign of inner struggle but when they are after something or someone
their determination is fierce. Should they not be favored in the outcome,
they are not willing or gracious losers. They are not arrogant and,
in fact, are quite interested in others and what others have to say.
However they often exhibit a self-sufficiency that implies there isn't
much they don't already know.
Scorpios have a strong, competitive nature. With little effort they
become exceptional athletes. They want real challenges and will not
easily suffer would-be competitors who do not possess skills that
are equal to their own. They enjoy sports that require strength, swiftness,
and cunning. Body-building, soccer, hockey, hunting, swimming, scuba
diving, and spelunking are favorite activities. Scorpio is associated
with the mythical phoenix rising from the ashes. This symbol not only
represents their own recuperative powers, it also represents their
resourceful ability to create something new out of something old or
useless. Recycling, and renovating homes and other buildings are typical
projects for which they are well suited. Creative potentials include
those who are outstanding cooks, writers, designers, and composers.
Their shrewdness in assessing value makes them excellent real estate
agents and developers, bankers, stockbrokers, and financial planners.
Scorpio colors are red, black, midnight blue, and emerald green. Vulnerable
parts of the body are the reproductive organs and excretory system.
Headaches, infections, and fevers are Scorpio complaints. Topaz is
Scorpio's birthstone. The Roman naturalist, Pliny the Elder, traced
the name to the Island of Topazos which, in Greek means "to guess.
" This meaning is a fair description of the inquisitive, mystery-loving
nature of Scorpio. Topaz, one of the hardest minerals, cannot be cut
with a knife. It is yet another representation of the impenetrable
Scorpio nature. Scorpio flowers include the anemone, heather, and
gardenia.
MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency
or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle
relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences.
It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional,
and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment.
It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important
females in your life.
MOON in PISCES
Those born with the moon in a Water sign need to establish solid emotional
commitments. Before considering the practicality of a situation, and
before objectively examining the facts, they react emotionally. They
are highly intuitive, though at times it is deceptively self-serving.
As lunar Water sign personalities, those with moon in Pisces are at
the mercy of their sensitive nature. Wounded by insults, and beset
with fear of rejection and other insecurities, they do not do well
in relationships with those who are emotionally tough and independent.
As a defense mechanism to protect their inner vulnerability, they
may turn into bullies, out to get others before others get them. It
is best for these individuals to adopt a religious or philosophical
outlook that can provide them with an underlying strength that their
temperament does not naturally possess.
Piscean moon personalities are romantic, idealistic, and creative.
Quite a few lunar Pisceans are gifted writers, actors, and illustrators.
In spite of their sensitive nature, they often have a strong outer
personality. Remarkably imaginative and farsighted, the major flaw
that prevents their projects from being successful is impracticality
or else lack of clarity or both. Adept at sales and promotion, they
are not always as responsible as they should be when it comes to how
much actual substance there is in what they offer. Their excess emotions
imply the almost certain potential for waging lifelong battles against
overindulgence of every kind.
Women with Pisces moon are prone to developing anxiety complexes.
They are also apt to be psychic with a gift for healing. Their emotional
nature is well-suited for the comfort of a domestic life, though they
may be unwilling or unable to efficiently manage the household. Men
with Pisces moon are vulnerable to being victimized in their personal
life, while at the same time, having great strength and wisdom to
ably handle the affairs of others.
MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way
you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information.
It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical
skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get
where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all
possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?
MERCURY in SCORPIO
Individuals with natal Mercury in Scorpio have an extremely keen intellect.
The intensity of Scorpio indicates obsessiveness. It can mean jealous
protection of their ideas, and in some individuals, a tendency for
great secrecy. They tend to equate knowledge and information with
power. Once they form opinions, they stubbornly cling to them. Mental
powers are not bogged down by sentiment. The emotional element that
is present only sharpens their instincts, giving them the ability
to read between the lines. It is difficult for others to deceive them.
Analytical with a healthy dose of skepticism, they are excellent investigators.
What they choose to learn, and where or how they choose to transport
themselves is variable, but rarely is it without design or purpose.
Whether they move quickly, or slowly with great care, they prefer
their movements to be silent and undetected.
VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic
tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions
at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance,
marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit
of pleasure.
VENUS in SAGITTARIUS
In social attitudes, behavior, and expressions these individuals tend
to exhibit the essential honesty associated with Sagittarius. Their
sense of social tact and diplomacy can be sadly missing at times when
they blurt out statements that might have been softened by a little
more discreet phraseology. However, those who know them well come
to accept bluntness as part of their charm and appreciate the honesty
with which their statements are intended, rather than the way they
are expressed. Friendly, outgoing and idealistic, they want to enjoy
a wide variety of acquaintances among an even wider assortment of
people from all walks of life and cultures. Uncomplicated friendships
are much easier for them to handle than passionate entanglements that,
more often than not, leave them feeling hurt and confused.
MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength
and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your
emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills.
It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations,
and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.
MARS in SCORPIO
The energy of those with natal Mars in Scorpio is intense and focused.
Though their actions are prompted primarily by emotional needs, the
extent of emotional involvement in the things these individuals do
is not often obvious. In fact, consciously or subconsciously, they
may hide or disguise their real reason for doing things. The formidable
energy that they are capable of applying to their efforts is persistent,
accurately directed, and usually successful. They can be misguided
by possessiveness and jealousy, and waste their energy in pointless
acts of revenge. These individuals are among the world's most remarkable
researchers, investigators, writers, composers, renovators, and financial
manipulators.
JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels;
physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation
of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism
and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.
JUPITER in VIRGO
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Virgo seek tangible proof of their
growth and progress, or at least proof that what they are striving
for makes some practical sense. They are very often just as involved
with the progress and growth of others as they are with their own,
which makes them excellent teachers, counselors or clerics. The idealism
associated with both Jupiter and Virgo can be a severe limitation
for these individuals when nothing and no one seems good enough or
perfect enough to satisfy them. On the other hand, it is their demands
for perfection that inspire others to rise above mediocrity.
SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are
apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does
not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good
fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and
meaning.
SATURN in CANCER
Individuals with Saturn in Cancer find their home or domestic life
limited in some way. Family responsibilities may severely limit their
own activities. They may be deprived of a home or family when young,
or, as adults their efforts to establish their own home or family
may be restricted. The nurturing they received or their own nurturing
abilities may be limited. Relationships with women and young children
are also liable to be inhibited. There is also the positive potential
that their creative talents will be constructively developed and applied.
URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality
of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people
as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures.
Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking
about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people
with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence
of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications
of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the
aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes
areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be
different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique.
Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as
is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers,
and the media.
URANUS in GEMINI
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Gemini want
freedom of speech and communication. Research and development of innovative
technology and methods of communication are eagerly undertaken. All
new ideas get attention, and freedom of information is emphasized.
NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of
society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are
glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism,
and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years,
taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs.
Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign
and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign
is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's
house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your
natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion,
disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't
always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and
describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment,
and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.
NEPTUNE in LIBRA
During the most recent period of Neptune in Libra in 1942-1957 the
establishment of the United Nations was typical of the Libran effort
to establish peace. Neptune's influence is also evident since the
U. N. has had minimal effect in accomplishing its goals. Equality
(Libra) for minorities (Neptune) may get attention but real solutions
may prove illusive.
PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all
twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve
years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like
atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction
of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence
in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your
personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house
position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope.
Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously
or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also
linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes
the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.
PLUTO in LEO
Pluto's last period in Leo was 1938-1957. Leo rules the king or representative
government. During Pluto's transit of Leo in the late 1600's and early
1700's, John Locke, philosopher of the English Revolution and American
Revolution, wrote his famous essays stating that governments existed
by virtue of voluntary agreements and their function was to protect
the rights of individuals.
PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope.
The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily
basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances
you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality
and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.
HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is
also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality
and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health
and the type of illnesses you may experience.
TAURUS ASCENDANT
A Taurus Ascendant indicates individuals with a strong stubborn streak
in their natures. They are also likely to have sturdy physiques, and
though their energy levels may not include outbursts of dynamic activity,
they have tremendous physical stamina. They are tenacious in getting
what they want, and it is often simply great patience that is responsible
for their success. The slowness associated with Taurus implies a certain
amount of procrastination, as well as difficulty breaking undesirable
habits and behavioral patterns.
Taurus indicates materialistic, status-seeking tendencies. They may
take pains to hide it, but they can nevertheless be unduly influenced
by people more powerful or wealthier. They are both resourceful and
highly pragmatic. Though their practicality is often self-serving,
they can be remarkably adept at coming up with constructive suggestions
that help others as well as themselves.
Taurus is ruled by Venus, planet of sensuality and beauty, and as
a celestial reminder, many of them are endowed with physical attractiveness.
Appreciative of good food and fine wines, they may be able to elude
the battle of the bulge since many of them are also dedicated to physical
fitness and keeping in shape. They enjoy looking attractive and fond
of using cosmetics and other beauty aids. Rather than wearing styles
solely because they happen to be the latest fashion, these individuals
select clothes that are either personally flattering or extremely
comfortable. They want physical comfort and love the feeling of soft,
luxurious materials. Despite their quiet natures, they enjoy social
occasions and living in sociable environments. Negative potentials
for Taurus Ascendant includes individuals who are overly shy, rude
or even anti-social. It can mean those who are totally focused on
their personal appearance and make desperate attempts to hang on to
youth and beauty. It can also include those who are lazy and have
little or no interest in their physical appearances or manner of dress.
Taurus Ascendant implies a belief that the finer things in life must
include art and music, and many of these individuals have talent in
one of these areas. They usually have pleasant or unusually resonant
voices. Their necks and throats are physically vulnerable areas and
to some extent they may experience earaches or infections.
URANUS in 1st HOUSE
Uranus in the first house indicates individuals who tend to be argumentative
and who enjoy playing devil's advocate. They believe they are different
and unique as an individual, or at least they want to give the appearance
of being so. It is one reason they love to take the opposing side
in discussions. The personality and appearance of these individuals
are often somewhat off-beat or out of step with current fashion. Being
different does not necessarily extend to a fiery or excitable nature.
In fact, they are more likely to possess a calm, quiet, demeanor much
of the time. They are capable, however, of such unexpected behavior
and reactions, it is difficult to predict with certainty what they
will do in any given situation. Though they may require a certain
amount of personal independence, marriage is not usually a problem
unless their partner becomes too dependent or too possessive. They
can get restless if there isn't enough in their immediate environment
to stimulate them but whether or not they will seek to change a boring
existence, depends on other motivating factors in their personality
and background. They are fascinated by strange and unusual things
or people. Intrigued by futuristic topics and technologies, they also
have great interest in the past. History and politics are usually
their favorite subjects.
URANUS sextile PLUTO
Uranus sextile Pluto only applies to those born in the mid-1940's.
Its influence is generational and implies motivation and opportunities
in science (especially atomic energy), technology, and medicine. Born
into a generation that had just exploded the first atom bomb, their
lives are affected by the problems connected with atomic energy, but
positively influenced by advancement in medicine, computers and other
technological inventions and innovations.
HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary
income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates
the values and priorities you establish throughout life.
GEMINI on 2nd HOUSE
Gemini ruling the second house indicates individuals who want to receive
benefit in some material or tangible way from their ideas and thoughts.
Consciously or subconsciously they want to be assured their ideas
and thoughts have some real value. They are likely to earn their livelihood
from communication, writing, education, publishing, or through travel
or transportation. The dual nature of the Gemini influence may mean
they have more than one source of income. Adept at picking up on the
priorities and values of others, they don't have to agree with or
even fully understand these ideas. Their sensitivity in knowing what
is important to others makes them opportunists, though it does not
necessarily mean they are manipulative or exploitive. They possess
a unique understanding of the patterns and proper structure and flow
of traffic. The transportation systems they envision can involve the
flow of people, vehicles, merchandise, commands, or ideas. Understanding
and making practical use of networks of all kinds is one of their
most valuable assets.
HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation,
self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity
and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It
indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within
your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also
describes the job or health of your father.
CANCER on 3rd HOUSE
Cancer ruling the third house indicates individuals with strong emotional
identification with their primary education, siblings, and neighborhood.
There is a vulnerability where these matters are concerned. Whether
they will experience a positive or negative situation in any of these
areas is not indicated solely by this Cancerian influence. It also
signifies a strong need to express feelings, though they may prefer
doing it in a secretive or circumspect manner. There is danger they
will remain content to reflect the ideas of others, rather than make
the effort to generate original ones of their own. They like to keep
busy in their immediate environment and probably prefer to work close
to home. This Cancerian influence suggests individuals who are writers,
teachers, educators, or involved with food, nutrition, or products
related to the home, women, or infants. Living on or near the water
gives them emotional inspiration to think and create effectively.
Negative possibilities include individuals who are accident prone,
lack imagination, have poor memories, or the inability or unwillingness
to communicate. The positive potential produces exactly the opposite
effect.
SATURN in 3rd HOUSE
For individuals with Saturn in the third house, the biggest lessons
in life involve thinking, learning, communication, and the development
or use of basic skills. Circumstances may prevent or greatly restrict
their early education, or they may simply be uninterested students.
Later in life, however, they are more receptive, even eager to learn
and to communicate their thoughts and ideas. The negative potential
of Saturn includes those with learning disabilities and sight, hearing,
or speech impediments. It also suggests those who suffer from depression,
or are overly cautious and pessimistic. Other areas of concern involve
siblings, and there are several possibilities regarding them. These
individuals may be deprived of such relationships by being an only
child. A generation gap can limit contacts or understanding with much
older siblings. They may have to assume responsibility for younger
brothers and sisters. Relationships with neighbors and schoolmates
can be stable and long-lasting, but loss of privacy or other burdens
can sometimes complicate these associations. Travel may be restricted,
or accommodations while traveling may be austere. Cars and other vehicles
these individuals own may be few in number, and unlikely to be luxurious
or impractical. Their vehicles may, however, give them many years
of dependable service. Saturn suggests those with a stable, practical
(if unimaginative) mind. They are able to present well-organized and
structured ideas and information, and to develop and make good use
of their skills. They can be the soul of authority, reliability, and
strength to their family and neighbors.
SATURN square NEPTUNE
Saturn square Neptune is a generational aspect that implies general
laxity toward structure and organization. Noncommittal attitudes prevail
just when strong commitments are necessary. Bad timing and a tendency
to focus on the wrong issues result in lack of accomplishment and
a feeling that something is wrong, but no idea of how to correct the
situation. Individuals born in this generation may or may not have
a tough time with rules and regulations but may have to deal with
those who do.
HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and
family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning
as well as the end of various cycles in your life.
CANCER on 4th HOUSE
Cancer ruling the fourth house indicates powerful ties to home and
family. If these individuals are deprived of these elements in childhood,
they find some way of fantasizing them. Sometimes their desire to
idealize their family causes them to fantasize even when they experienced,
what could be considered by most standards, a normal childhood. Though
this Cancerian position indicates strong emotional identification
with home and family, it does not mean the home life is emotionally
stable. In fact, frequent changes of residence are more than a possibility.
They may reside near or on the water, or at least may have great desire
to do so. They usually prefer to work at home. Their mothers are apt
to play pivotal roles in their lives. Either they gain strength or
special assistance from her, or are profoundly affected by her death
or absence. Loss of the mother however, is not necessarily a negative
factor, but may turn out to be a positive force in pushing them forward.
They may have responsibility for the care of their mothers or bear
great physical resemblance to her.
PLUTO in 4th HOUSE
Pluto in the fourth house indicates those who may experience trauma
in childhood, most likely as the result of the death of someone in
the family, or because of their physical or mental abuse by a family
member. Whatever may have actually happened, or how they may have
felt about it, childhood experiences ultimately leave them with a
sense that they have no control over things. They have difficulty
as adults in relinquishing any control over themselves or their home.
Some of them may never seek to own a home of their own. They may be
reluctant to marry, or find it difficult to stay married to a spouse
who insists on dominating their domestic environment. Pluto in the
fourth house also implies individuals who may not experience the full
potential of their power and energy until later in life. There are
definite periods (especially after the age of thirty) when they may
have to start over again in some new enterprise or life style. Though
they may or may not attempt to escape their childhood home or its
circumstances, they find themselves returning to it again and again.
By choice or circumstance there may be secrecy connected to aspects
of their home or family background.
HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers,
capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children,
and speculative ventures.
LEO on 5th HOUSE
Leo ruling the fifth house indicates those with significant creative
and procreative urges. While this does not necessarily translate into
unbridled hedonism, they can be very devoted to the pleasure principles
though the goals are not always focused on sexual needs. Pleasures
include food and drink as well as other comforts and physical delights.
The negative potential of this can mean individuals whose ability
to enjoy personal pleasures is repressed. Leo's influence indicates
romantic and humanitarian individuals; vital if not always strong,
and noble if not always wise. They are loyal and honest but pride
is often their biggest downfall. They are invariably drawn to the
grandeur of nature and very fond of animals. They are likely to seek
careers in art, design, architecture, theater, promotion or public
relations, and there is potential their children may also follow such
paths. They love to entertain and be entertained. Even those with
fairly quiet natures, have warmth and ready wits.
JUPITER in 5th HOUSE
Jupiter in the fifth house indicates those with a strong sense of
their own creative spirit. It is more than an abundant expression
of artistic talent, vivid imagination, or abundant procreation. Jupiter
in the fifth house indicates individuals who want to feel somehow
set apart from the world while still a part of it, to associate themselves
with higher spiritual or intellectual levels. However, even those
who aspire to the highest planes of spirituality and creativity are
likely to possess a merry disposition that is not above enjoying the
pleasures and delights of the physical world. The influence of Jupiter
suggests they are likely to be very generous to romantic partners,
having the ability to be a friend as well as a lover to them. They
are attracted (romantically or as friends) to those with a high degree
of intelligence, enthusiasm, spirituality, and a flair for excitement
and drama. Whether or not these individuals become parents themselves,
their attitude toward children is warm and caring, though perhaps
a bit too indulgent at times. Likely to be fond of animals, they treat
their pets with the same doting affection as their children. The negative
potential of this Jupiter house position includes the possibility
of disappointment in romance and speculative ventures, gross exaggeration,
and reckless indulgence.
HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and
unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your
health, and physical fitness.
VIRGO on 6th HOUSE
Virgo ruling the sixth house indicates individuals who are apt to
be service-oriented. They tend to keep themselves extremely busy whether
they work at jobs or in their homes. They seek to improve the quality
of their working environment or the efficiency of the tasks that must
be performed. Their dedication to getting the job done makes them
valuable employees. However, they can sometimes be too preoccupied
with unnecessary details or needless tasks they are convinced need
doing. They can also develop the opinion they are the only ones capable
of certain tasks and wind up exhausted, overworked and frustrated
simply because they will not delegate work to others. The influence
of Virgo suggests individuals who become librarians, researchers,
teachers, trainers, physical fitness experts, or work in communication
or with computers. They may work in sales- employment- social- or
health-related agencies. They may work or have great interest in geography,
geology, weather, stamp collecting, and travel. Whatever their jobs,
they will tend to generate a lot of paperwork, reports, memos and
lists.
NEPTUNE in 6th HOUSE
Neptune in the sixth house indicates individuals who work in an isolated
environment, or those whose job is related to secrecy, deception,
or fraud. They may become involved with co-workers in secret activities.
There is potential for them to develop idealistic or unrealistic notions
concerning their job. Other people may not be quite sure what these
individuals do for a living; but then, they may not be so sure themselves
since there is also potential for confusion related to job assignments,
and failure to get recognition for the work they do. Neptune's influence
suggests that they are apt to find employment in the navy or maritime
industries, religion, photography, chemistry, psychology, medicine
(especially homeopathy or cosmetic surgery). Their job may be in areas
that specifically involve the feet, which could mean anything from
selling shoes to being a dancer or a podiatrist. They may also work
with the handicapped, minorities, and people in prison or confined
for other reasons. Neptune's influence extends to their health and
physical fitness. The self-discipline of exercise and other methods
needed to stay in shape is very difficult for them to develop. Though
it is possible to become fanatic about physical fitness, their approach
is more likely to be metaphysical than physical. They are vulnerable
to hypochondria or illnesses that are difficult to diagnose or treat.
Caution must always be taken with drugs since they are apt to be sensitive
to medicine as well as anesthetics.
SUN in 6th HOUSE
Sun in the sixth house indicates those whose personal identification
is tied to their work, as well as to co-workers or other people for
whom they are responsible. They handle even the most routine tasks
with dedication and pride, inspiring the admiration of others who
are less organized or motivated. Those who can't (or don't) take pride
in their work end up discouraged and bitter. Some of them exaggerate
the importance of what they do, while others fail to accept any work
they think is beneath them. Whatever their work may be, they will
demand tangible payment and recognition of their efforts. Health and
physical fitness are, or should be, important to them.
SUN conjunct MERCURY
These individuals are apt to be very subjective in their opinions
and ideas. Unless they make concerted efforts, their receptiveness
to learning is going to stay primarily limited to their self-interests,
which in turn limits their growth and progress as individuals. It
is hard to separate their own ideas from others since consciously
or subconsciously their egos have a tendency to appropriate everything.
If natal Mercury is in a different sign than natal Sun, there is less
chance of ego involvement and more mental receptiveness.
SUN conjunct MARS
These individuals are apt to have innately restless natures. This
restlessness may be apparent in their constant competitiveness, inability
to settle down, or tendency to practically kill themselves with overwork.
There is a good bit of self-absorption and, though they may not be
intentionally selfish, they can be careless about the feelings of
others. They are apt to get caught up in a certain amount of possessiveness,
jealousy, and quick anger, but these feelings may not last too long
and they are nearly always generous enough to forget the grievance
and quickly get on with other things.
SUN trine SATURN
Sun trine Saturn indicates individuals with a certain type of luck.
There is no lucky throw of the dice they can count on, it is usually
luck they make for themselves. They may not win at horse races, but
they will always come out ahead in situations where they have worked
hard and for which they have prepared well. Their own actions or other
people impressed with their past prudence and hard work provide any
additional help they need to get ahead.
SUN square PLUTO
Sun square Pluto indicates those who are constantly running into situations
which call for the use of all their resources. Sometimes they are
unwilling to give up one thing to gain another and, in these situations,
they lose more often than they win. They have the ability to manipulate
situations to their own advantage, and like it or not, this is often
what they are forced to do in order to gain control over many obstacles
that would otherwise prevent them from succeeding or achieving their
goals.
MERCURY in 6th HOUSE
Mercury in the sixth house indicates those who like to keep busy whether
they work at an outside job or in their home. However, it doesn't
mean they always accomplish meaningful things. They may become so
preoccupied with unnecessary details or needless tasks, their work
is never caught up. Unwilling or unable to properly delegate tasks
to others, they may end up exhausted, overworked, and frustrated.
They may have so many things going on that it is difficult for others
to assist them. Mercury's influence implies those who prefer working
in their own neighborhood or those who may work with or for a neighbor
or sibling. These individuals are also likely to be writers, librarians,
researchers, teachers, trainers, physical fitness experts, or work
with computers or in communication. They may operate or work in employment
agencies, or in social or health-related agencies and services. Whatever
their job happens to be, they tend to generate a lot of paper work,
reports, memos, and lists.
MERCURY conjunct MARS
Whatever the depth of their intellects, those with Mercury conjunct
Mars are sure to be strong and active in promoting their thoughts.
They very much want to put ideas into action, and have little patience
if they have to deal too much with mere theory. They are often physically
active as well as mentally alert, always running here and there on
one errand or another. They are likely to possess above average mechanical
or technical skills.
MERCURY trine SATURN
Mercury trine Saturn implies those with stable minds, common sense,
and a correct sense of timing. They have organizational and administrative
abilities, and are apt to wander effortlessly into many situations
in life in which they can use their intellectual and communicative
skills to great advantage. Understanding structure and purpose is
among their most valuable intellectual assets.
MERCURY square PLUTO
Mercury square Pluto indicates those who want to succeed, and success
they do attain is likely to result from frustrations they encounter.
Their intellectual perceptions are keenly analytical. They know how
to go about doing things, and if laziness or some other factor does
not interfere, they get what they want. They enjoy knowing how things
work, especially the psychology of human behavior.
MARS in 6th HOUSE
Mars in the sixth house indicates those who concentrate much energy
and vitality in their work. It indicates mechanical skills, and many
of these individuals are inventors, surgeons, tailors, machinists,
engineers, builders, and inveterate tinkerers. Those with managerial
skills are tireless administrators who know how to extract maximum
efficiency from their staffs. There is potential for them to choose
a line of work that involves an element of risk. The risk could be
physical, economic, or, in the case of those who work with very ill
or disturbed people, it could be emotional. Their work may involve
manufacture or sale of knives, weapons, explosives, or fire-fighting
equipment. Whatever their job, they are happiest in active environments
that offer a wide variety of challenges and tasks. The influence of
Mars also suggests enthusiasm for maintaining health and physical
fitness. If other factors contribute to giving them a high level of
energy, they have no trouble engaging in a variety of activities that
keep them in shape. They must guard against high blood pressure, fever,
headaches, and stress.
MARS trine SATURN
Those with Mars trine Saturn are apt to have the good fortune to be
taken care of or given valuable assistance by older people or those
in authority. Saturn's influence is rarely subtle and attempts at
self promotion may be transparent, but the implication here is that
their ploys are usually tolerated. This is a survival aspect and no
matter the hardships imposed, these individuals usually manage to
cope better than most.
MARS square PLUTO
The strength of will power, emotional intensity, and physical stamina
of those with Mars square Pluto are usually enough to get them out
in front. What may cause them to fall behind again, however, is being
too aggressive or threatening. They are apt to have incisive minds,
and know exactly what they want and how to get it. For their own growth
as individuals they learn to avoid giving in to revenge, jealousy
and possessiveness.
HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures
of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others
tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters,
negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as
well as adversarial.
SCORPIO on 7th HOUSE
Scorpio ruling the seventh house indicates those who may feel compelled
(or be forced) to control or manipulate relationships. Those with
especially aggressive personalities are apt to interfere with other
peoples' relationships as well, not always with happy results. Their
success in dealing with others will have much to do with individual
circumstances but Scorpio's influence on the seventh house is not
an indication of those with a strong sense of cooperation or fair
play. It does however, imply they may experience justice in the form
of eventual retribution. In other words, sooner or later, they are
likely to get just what they deserve, both good and bad. Scorpio ruling
the seventh house also suggests a tendency to attract partners who
are at least as, if not more intellectually gifted than themselves,
or who have more power or status. These individuals can develop remarkably
keen powers of observation and analysis, especially concerning human
motivations and relationships. Whether by design or accident there
may be an element of mystery or secrecy connected with certain aspects
of their marriages and other partnerships.
VENUS in 7th HOUSE
Venus in the seventh house indicates outgoing, people-oriented individuals
who are diplomatic, charming, and polite to everyone they meet. Without
constant exposure to other people, these individuals can become withdrawn
and unmotivated, because consciously or subconsciously, they depend
on such interactions for inspiration and feedback. However needful
they may be for the company of others, it usually has to be on a one-to-one
basis, since many of these individuals dislike waiting in line and
hate to get caught in crowds. They have the capacity to derive much
pleasure and enjoyment from marriage, though the mere presence of
Venus in the seventh house is no guarantee of wedded bliss. Whether
or not they are married, these individuals are likely to achieve some
of their greatest successes through partnerships and cooperative efforts
of one kind or another. The negative potential includes difficulty
in finding the right partner, and lack ability to cooperate or get
along with others.
VENUS opposite URANUS
Those with Venus opposite Uranus can never be quite sure how they
will be accepted by other people. On the other hand, their own handling
of relationships may be just as unpredictable. Conventional society
may become very boring and they seek the company of unusual people,
or at least a wide variety of people. They may encounter or themselves
engage in some unorthodox social situations.
VENUS sextile NEPTUNE
The social contacts of those with Venus sextile Neptune are apt to
be highly sensitive and in some cases, psychic and intuitive. They
may have opportunities to engage in secret romance or relationships
with those who are mysterious or glamorous. The social consciousness
of these individuals is also very sensitive, involving them on some
level with those who are handicapped, confined or members of a minority.
These individuals often possess mathematical ability, remarkable mechanical
or technical skills, or artistic talent.
VENUS trine PLUTO
Venus trine Pluto implies those with a strong sexual drive that may
cause problems in youth but can bring wisdom and control when they
are mature enough to handle it. Pleasures they have may be many or
few, but their enjoyment is intense. Deep relationships they establish
also become valuable psychological resources. They may effortlessly
attract those in power and attain high ranking social positions themselves.
HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the
income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes
your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and use material
assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house
also indicates sexual attitudes and behavior.
SAGITTARIUS on 8th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the eighth house is an indication of those who
will find a way to use and enjoy resources. Whatever their particular
talents, intellectual ability, or family connections, they will attempt
to use them. They are apt to be very interested in people or methods
that test their abilities or help them to recognize and develop these
skills. There is no guarantee they will be successful in these attempts
since merely recognizing abilities does not always translate into
using them properly. However, the influence of Sagittarius indicates
at least some success and through that success these individuals will
realize a measure of personal independence. They may also exhibit
a certain amount of personal independence in their attitude and behavior
with regard to sex, though it is possible their attitudes will also
contain strong elements of idealism and spirituality as well. They
may gain increased knowledge and/or social status through marriage
or business partners. There is potential the income of their marriage
partners may be derived through writing, advertising, broadcasting,
art, religion, publishing, politics, foreign dealings, or education.
HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing,
publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies,
religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits.
It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To
a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health
of your mother.
CAPRICORN on 9th HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the ninth house indicates a better potential for
success when these individuals wait until later in life for advanced
education or special training. If they pursue such instruction at
a younger age, the motivations, opportunities, or means to do so will
be lacking or restricted in some way. The implication of Capricorn
is that real progress can only be gained through efforts to improve
themselves, especially their intellectual capabilities. If they reject
this responsibility out of laziness, fear of failure, or for any reason,
they may suffer for it. Half-hearted attempts to pursue these matters
also fail. Nor are they encouraged in dilettante scholarship and indeed,
may be (or forced to be) very practical about advanced education,
not being able to waste time with matters that are not practical or
that do not have some direct application. Other obstacles can turn
up in the sense that opportunities to use their degrees or training
are restricted or even nonexistent. Their patience and persistence
when confronted with such frustrations is usually the key to overcoming
them.
HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals,
public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates
to your father and his influence in your life.
CAPRICORN on 10th HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the tenth house indicates the possibility of one
or more situations regarding the father. The relationship these individuals
have with this parent is apt to be restrictive or limited in some
way, they may be separated from the father through his death or as
a result of divorce, or he may be burdened with responsibilities.
It is also possible they will have to bear responsibility for the
father. Whatever happens, one of the strongest motivating factors
in their lives occurs because of the paternal relationship they experienced,
or failed to experience. How well they handle it marks their success
and maturity as individuals. Capricorn's influence suggests individuals
with strong career goals, or those who select careers or directions
in life that promise security and/or a positions of authority. They
are quite dedicated to pushing themselves or their goals forward,
no matter how long it takes or how difficult the struggle. It is well
for them to remember that abuse of authority or power they are granted
may easily backfire and bring public disgrace.
HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong,
and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages
earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of
others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business
associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations
and capacity for happiness.
AQUARIUS on 11th HOUSE
Aquarius ruling the eleventh house means individuals who may have
many friends or just a few, but whatever their number, these relationships
are vulnerable to being unstable. Other possibilities are that their
friends may tend to be unstable, or they may experience sudden or
unexpected separations from friends. The positive side of this influence
implies those who can visit friends with whom they have not had contact
in a long time and make it seem as though no time had past. The influence
of Aquarius can impart a spirit of egalitarianism with regard to their
friendships, though this trait is heavily influenced by other factors
in their individual personalities. They are apt to be very active
in fraternal organizations. There is also the implication of a tendency
to consciously or subconsciously organize their friends into a loose
fraternity, in which these individuals are more often than not the
undisputed leaders. They are likely to establish friendships with
people involved in occult or other unusual subjects, highly technological
areas, medicine, or communications. Other friendships are apt to be
established with those who have radical or unorthodox ideas and opinions,
as well as unpredictable dispositions.
MOON in 11th HOUSE
Moon in the eleventh house indicates individuals who are apt to be
well liked, optimistic and idealistic. Even those with a strong personality
may tend to rely too heavily on what their friends and associates
think. In turn, they are endlessly involved with the many confidences
entrusted to them by these people. It is difficult for them to invest
their entire concentration in one person. They need continuing contacts
and a variety of roles to play in the lives of others. The influence
of the moon suggests many aspirations that they develop can be so
changeable it becomes difficult for them to establish definite commitments,
practical plans, or long-range goals. Other potentials include individuals
who make their home with friends, and it is certain that friends will
be welcome to live in theirs. They may accomplish their ultimate aspirations
through the assistance or guidance of friends. The influence of the
moon in the eleventh house also implies that family members are apt
to be among their closest friends.
MOON opposite JUPITER
Moon opposite Jupiter indicates that though the material abundance
promised by the Moon's association with Jupiter may never appear or
may be wasted, these individuals probably have not been deprived of
the jolly sense of humor and great intelligence which are also implied.
To be successful they are certain to have to overcome some type of
emotional exaggeration, either gross overindulgence or its opposite
extreme, asceticism.
MOON opposite NEPTUNE
Moon opposite Neptune indicates that whatever success these individuals
gain in other areas, their emotional lives can end up in quicksand;
and no matter how otherwise intelligent they are, they may never quite
understand how they got in such situations. Compassionate and often
too easily influenced by others for their own good, they can never
seem to get themselves on solid emotional footing. Strength of character
and other factors in their personalities can soften some of the negativity
connected with this aspect.
HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your
subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or
work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow,
disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry.
It also has connection with the job or health of your marriage or
business partner.
PISCES on 12th HOUSE
Pisces ruling the twelfth house indicates the likelihood of subconscious
vulnerability. These individuals may be heavily influenced by dreams,
feelings of guilt, and the past. They may not particularly want to
admit being unduly influenced by such esoteric forces, or the reverse
may be true and some of them will strive to develop their ability
to understand and control them. Their attitudes and activities concerning
these matters depends for support on other factors in their personalities
and backgrounds. There is however, the strong possibility they will
develop great spirituality and keen intuitions. Pisces ruling the
twelfth house implies that their marriage partners may suffer from
drug or alcohol addiction, hypochondria, or illnesses that are hard
to diagnose. Another Piscean implication is that they or their marriage
partners may work in isolated environments, with secret or illegal
activities, in maritime activities, medicine, photography, drugs,
or with the sick, handicapped, disadvantaged or minority groups.
