PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned
with your individual traits.
The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon),
learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and
sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical
energy (Mars).
The second section describes how well you deal internally with the
external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for
happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations
(Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative
ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status
quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals,
morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with
or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government
and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and
distribution of natural resources (Pluto).
SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential
and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about.
It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take,
and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is
your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect
and authority, to impress and influence others.
SUN in LEO
As the fifth sign of the zodiac, Leo represents the fifth stage in
the evolution of man and his place in the universe. Here, the dominant
need is to develop man's creative urge. Creativity is not entirely
an emotional urge in Leo, it is also an expression of ego. The mind
and heart are united in Leo to represent man's ultimate individuality.
When their egos are turned inward, Leos become self-centered and tyrannical.
Seeking to gain attention (consciously or subconsciously), they love
to play the hero. At times this gesture is indeed noble, but feeling
they already know what is best, they often neglect to learn what assistance
is actually wanted and their misguided generosity becomes worthless
to those they sought to help. Imaginative Leos envision grandiose
schemes and many of them possess the talent to turn their ideas into
reality.
Leos are stubborn and impervious to changes not of their own making.
They are however, able to accomplish things in life because of their
tenacity in sticking with projects when others lose patience and stamina.
Unfortunately, stubbornness in the Leo personality is dictated more
often than not by their ego. Attempts to back them into a corner,
or demanding that they change their thinking or behavior will quickly
reveal the extent of their intractable nature. Even when confronted
with irrefutable evidence of the foolhardiness of their ways, Leos
can stubbornly cling to bad relationships and wrong ideas because
their egos simply will not allow them to admit being wrong. However,
their tenacity becomes a valuable asset when it is demonstrated as
loyalty to friends, or as patience and determination to succeed in
completing a worthy project. The astrological symbol for Leo is the
Lion. As king of the jungle, this animal represents the regal disposition
of the Leo personality. Their dignity cannot be assailed. If insulted
or abused, they rarely forget the slight unless their detractors sincerely
and humbly request forgiveness. Leos generally have opinions about
everything and not a bit of reluctance in expressing them. They must
have the last word and, as far as most of them are concerned, it is
the only one that counts.
Leos react physically to everything they experience. Before they assess
the practicality or worth of what they are doing, before they sort
out their true emotions, and before they take time to reason things
out intellectually, their tendency is to shoot first and ask questions
later. Leos tackle projects others would not attempt, though they
cannot help calling as much attention as possible to their efforts.
Their penchant for exaggeration and overreaction works well in the
theater, advertising schemes, and other situations where a "bigger
than life" approach is desirable. Leos are often guilty however, of
habitually turning a mundane problem or fairly routine situation into
an overblown crisis, much to the confusion and annoyance of those
around them.
The sun, celestial guardian of the human ego, rules Leo. Its influence
gives Leos a true love of life and its pleasures. Genial hosts and
natural entertainers, they get pleasure out of helping others enjoy
life as much as they do. Enthusiasm and generosity are integral parts
of their gregarious natures. Their sunny dispositions inspire the
affection of many friends and admirers, as well as engender feelings
of envy in those with less popular personalities. Though usually full
of ambition and enthusiasm, they also have a lazy streak and, if given
the opportunity, will take the easy way out of things, especially
when the situation offers little fun or glory. They are so attracted
to energy and excitement it can be difficult for them to accept that
life also consists of boring routines and mundane details that need
constant attention.
It is easy for pleasure-loving Leos to become addicted to rich food,
and as they get older they find themselves putting on weight. Their
gregarious nature makes it hard to enjoy or stick to boring or solitary
physical fitness routines, but they may not mind dressing up in flashy
gym outfits and joining an exercise class. Dancing, swimming, and
tennis are favorite activities, though they are eager participants
in sports of all kinds. When engaged in team sports, however, they
can make too many grandstand plays, forgetting that they are just
part of a team. Arts and crafts, theater groups, philanthropic societies,
and religious organizations attract their interest and participation.
Leo colors are gold, royal blue, purple, and red. Vulnerable parts
of the body are the back and the heart. Overexertion, heart murmur,
and various types of back pains are the usual Leo complaints. Leo
rules gold, and the birthstone for this sign is the sardonyx. An appropriate
representative of Leo's versatile, creative personality, the intriguing
sardonyx is a variety of agate that exists in many colors and can
be cut in many ways. One of the special ways it is used is in making
cameos. Flowers for Leo include the showy dahlia, yellow lily, poppy
(red), marigold, sunflower, and heliotrope.
MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency
or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle
relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences.
It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional,
and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment.
It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important
females in your life.
MOON in TAURUS
Except in the pursuit of pleasure (to which many of them can be quite
dedicated) those born with the moon in an Earth sign are not emotionally
spontaneous. They don't nonchalantly accept the responsibility of
long-term relationships, or analyze emotional commitments merely as
a mental exercise. They may hesitate to move at all unless they feel
they are on solid ground, or there is some personal advantage to be
gained by their emotional involvement. As lunar Earth sign personalities,
those with moon in Taurus require tangible proof of affection from
those with whom they form relationships. Their strong physical appetites
push them to gratify their desires whenever they have the opportunity,
but never in an outwardly reckless manner that threatens their basic
security. Material comforts and the advantages of wealth are important
to them, and they can become overly concerned with social status.
Though they enjoy having the stability of a solid home and family
life, they are not necessarily homebodies. In fact, they tend to spend
a lot of time and attention on social or economic pursuits instead
of routine household or family chores.
Taurus moon personalities do not want to be rushed or forced into
commitments. However, once they do make an emotional commitment to
a project, idea, or relationship, they doggedly pursue and hang on
to it. It's hard for them to accept when things go wrong, and it may
take an even longer time for them to make the necessary adjustments
to rectify the situation. Their calm and quiet temperament has a stabilizing
influence on others, but it can also give them an aura of self-containment
that makes them appear proud or unapproachable. Others who break promises
or fail to keep their word to them must be prepared to endure the
consequences. Moon in Taurus personalities have long memories. They
may forgive but they rarely forget. Some of them remember personal
insults and disappointments for years, wasting precious time bearing
grudges that should have been long forgotten.
Women with Taurus moon are independent and self-reliant. Their nature
is to spend lavishly in particular situations and be very miserly
in others. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground in the matter.
They are apt to gain materially through marriage. Men with Taurus
moon are charming and diplomatic in social relationships and sensual
partners in romantic encounters. Though they can be hedonistic, they
are also unselfishly devoted to their children.
MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way
you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information.
It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical
skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get
where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all
possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?
MERCURY in VIRGO
Individuals with Mercury in Virgo have sharp analytical abilities.
As a rule, they learn quickly and most of them enjoy their education.
They have organizational ability, but other factors in their natal
charts must support a willingness to implement this skill. They are
prone to changing their minds, often as a result of being unduly influenced
by the persuasive power of others. They need to develop confidence
in themselves. Sometimes they can be patient and accommodating in
teaching or sharing information and ideas. At other times, they are
too impatient and overly critical. Their need for perfection is always
in conflict with the less-than-perfect world. In the matter of learning
and transportation, they move at a variable but purposeful pace. Curiosity
leads them down many paths, mentally as well as physically.
VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic
tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions
at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance,
marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit
of pleasure.
VENUS in VIRGO
Individuals with Venus in Virgo may be somewhat inhibited when it
comes to establishing social relationships. They do however, quickly
warm to people who go out of their way to make them feel at ease,
those with similar interests, and those with whom they can find some
means of personal identification. Even if they are very interested
in pursuing a relationship (romantic or otherwise) they are not likely
to be the aggressor. When they do go out of their way to form associations,
it is usually for practical reasons. Close friendships may be few,
but those they do make are treated with care and responsibility. They
can miss good times, good friends, and sometimes even romance, because
they wait too long for the conditions to be just perfect.
MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength
and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your
emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills.
It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations,
and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.
MARS in VIRGO
Individuals with Mars in Virgo possess a number of different kinds
of physical and mental skills that allow them access to a wide range
of activities. Writing, teaching, health care, interior design, or
fashion design are just a few areas in which these individuals may
direct their time and attention. They can be very self-disciplined,
organized individuals who have no trouble dividing their energy among
several projects at the same time. If other factors in their individual
natal chart interfere, their sense of detail is lost in disorganization
and sloppiness. Efforts to perfect their skills and abilities to impossible
levels can be discouraged when they are confronted with the imperfection
of reality. They need to develop tolerance for such imperfect situations
or they can lapse into an idle and unproductive existence.
JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels;
physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation
of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism
and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.
JUPITER in LIBRA
Individuals with Jupiter in Libra are often dependent for personal
growth on the stimulation they derive from others, and the contacts
they make by constant interactions with others. Working in partnership,
joint ventures, and other cooperate efforts is the key to their success.
Jupiter's influence in Libra indicates increased capacity to get along
with, and favorably influence others. It also indicates an inspired
sense of justice. The desire they have for growth is generally in
an intellectual or aesthetic area. To attain what they seek, these
individuals have to deal successfully with Jupiter's tendency for
overabundance and Libra's need to strike a balance between excess
and austerity.
SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are
apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does
not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good
fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and
meaning.
SATURN in SAGITTARIUS
Sagittarius is associated with higher education, spirituality, politics,
travel and international endeavors. Individuals with natal Saturn
in Sagittarius encounter limitations and responsibilities in any of
these areas. There is also much to be gained, and they may end up
as acknowledged experts and authorities in their particular fields
of endeavor. Knowledge is not usually a luxury for them. It may be
difficult to acquire purely for its own sake, and it must have structure
and meaningful application. Their spirituality demands the highest
standards but those who become morally righteous are apt to suffer.
URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality
of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people
as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures.
Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking
about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people
with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence
of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications
of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the
aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes
areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be
different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique.
Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as
is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers,
and the media.
URANUS in LEO
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Leo are likely
to be involved in the creative arts. They introduce their ideas with
innovative flair and great boldness in defiance of traditional concepts.
Leo is also associated with scientific research and humanitarian gestures,
so these individuals may also be expected to attack old problems with
new energy, ideas and methods.
NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of
society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are
glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism,
and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years,
taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs.
Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign
and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign
is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's
house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your
natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion,
disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't
always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and
describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment,
and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.
NEPTUNE in SCORPIO
The latest period of Neptune in Scorpio was 1955-1970 and the influence
of Neptune in Scorpio had observable impact. Sexual codes (Scorpio)
prior to the 60's dissolved (a Neptunian influence). Sexually explicit
material invaded the media and everyday life. Drugs and creation of
a counter-culture eroded the family and traditional values (Neptune).
Spying and secret surveillance (Scorpio) in public and private life
were evident in fact and fiction.
PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all
twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve
years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like
atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction
of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence
in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your
personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house
position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope.
Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously
or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also
linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes
the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.
PLUTO in LEO
Pluto's last period in Leo was 1938-1957. Leo rules the king or representative
government. During Pluto's transit of Leo in the late 1600's and early
1700's, John Locke, philosopher of the English Revolution and American
Revolution, wrote his famous essays stating that governments existed
by virtue of voluntary agreements and their function was to protect
the rights of individuals.
PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope.
The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily
basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances
you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality
and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.
HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is
also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality
and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health
and the type of illnesses you may experience.
CAPRICORN ASCENDANT
A Capricorn Ascendant indicates individuals with energetic, success-oriented
personalities, and determination to satisfy their personal goals.
The shrewdness and open ambition associated with the sun or moon in
Capricorn does not always show up so overtly in the personality of
those with Capricorn Ascendant but these traits are present nevertheless.
Most of them are very capable managers and supervisors, willing to
accept responsibilities and positions of authority.
They strongly identify with the material world and tangible assets.
Unless other factors in their personalities or backgrounds interfere,
they are not likely to adopt easy-going, "take me as I am" attitudes.
They feel more comfortable with formality. They want to be aware of
all the rules of social conduct and adapt their actions to fit these
structures. Consciously or subconsciously they specifically choose
the company of people who make them look good. It is not unusual for
handsome Capricorn Rising males to select less attractive wives or,
beautiful Capricorn Rising women to select less attractive female
friends.
Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, planet of structure, restriction and
longevity. It is often an indication of a difficult birth or restricted
childhood. However, it doesn't matter what particular difficulties
life presents to these individuals, their biggest challenge is always
themselves. They are apt to be disappointed with some aspect of their
personalities or appearance and may develop conflicting behavior to
deal with these feelings when they surface. Some of these individuals
practice strict self denial, while others abandon themselves to hedonistic
pleasures as a form of self destruction. They may even exhibit both
types of behavior. At every turn they confront fears and insecurity.
How well they deal with the conflict marks their success as well adjusted
adults. Capricorn ruling the first house raises the competitive spirit
and by no means dictates the presence of a somber or colorless personality.
On the contrary, it implies individuals who are apt to possess overcompensating
cheerful personalities, and they willingly accept responsibilities
and hardships which they are apt to feel they were born to endure.
There is always a choice to be made, and the right one is never easy
because it usually involves success which must be earned.
Capricorn Ascendant is usually indicative of abstemious eating habits
which help these individuals avoid gaining too much weight. Sensitive
skin, finely textured hair, brittle bones, and dental difficulties
are apt to be their common physical complaints
HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary
income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates
the values and priorities you establish throughout life.
PISCES on 2nd HOUSE
Individuals with Pisces ruling the second house must preserve the
things they value or risk losing them, in many cases even before they
realize the danger. Unless their background in handling money efficiently
is strong, they may find it difficult to keep financial affairs in
order. One of life's biggest challenges will be to hold on to their
incomes since there is a strong potential for bankruptcy, or at least
the steady erosion of assets for one reason or another. Although a
conservative attitude is wise, they have a tendency to go in one of
two directions. They either pay little heed to finances and live on
the edge of debt, or they develop such unreasonable paranoia over
the potential loss of assets they can scarcely bring themselves to
ever increase their assets through investment. Unless they are extremely
organized, or have learned to become that way, they have a hard time
setting or sticking to priorities. They may get sympathy, understanding,
or monetary assets from the father, but whatever this parent provides
it is (in many cases through misunderstanding) not what they may need
most of all.
HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation,
self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity
and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It
indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within
your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also
describes the job or health of your father.
ARIES on 3rd HOUSE
Aries ruling the third house indicates individuals with a healthy
dose of intellectual curiosity. They want to know many things, but
want to know it all at once. Impatience with learning makes formal
education confining. They dislike being subjected to long lectures
and convoluted thinking, though they are not above engaging in such
things themselves. Organization and mundane details present too much
of a task and if their occupations demand this sort of attention,
they may resort to hiring others for assistance. For them the most
efficient method of learning is through actual physical experience.
There is potential for an attraction (either positive or negative)
to machinery, especially cars, and for mechanical skills. They are
likely to have quick tempers. Those who possess more patience in learning
as well as self-expression, are excellent writers or debaters. Never
content with simple discourse and theory, they need to turn ideas
into action. They may never get around to settling anywhere since
one activity or another constantly draws them away from home.
HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and
family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning
as well as the end of various cycles in your life.
TAURUS on 4th HOUSE
Taurus ruling the fourth house indicates individuals who feel more
comfortable, and thus more sociable and romantic, in their own homes.
Their homes are apt to have a very solid appearance and the interior
is apt to contain a predominance of wood and leather. If the Taurean
influence is given full expression, their homes are in a country rather
than urban setting. They may develop interest or work in real estate,
architecture, or interior design. There is possible inheritance, probably
from their mother or mother's side of the family. They are apt to
select marriage or business partners from among those who come from
their home town. A fourth house Taurean influence indicates sociable,
stable relationships with parents. It may also mean their mothers
are particularly beautiful or have artistic talent. Negative potentials
for Taurus on the fourth house include individuals who by choice or
circumstances do not have homes, or are unable to derive enjoyment
from domestic life and only use home as a place to camp out.
MOON in 4th HOUSE
Moon in the fourth house indicates strong emotional ties to home and
family. These individuals are interested in researching their family's
genealogy and possessing and caring for family heirlooms. They may
tend to fantasize certain aspects of their family or family background.
If they possess mechanical or artistic skills, they enjoy using them
to enhance their home. There may be frequent changes of residence.
Either these individuals are raised near the water or will reside
near water as adults. They may prefer to work or run a business from
their home. The mother is the most likely parent to play a dominant
role in shaping their life. They may receive special assistance from
her, or may be profoundly affected by her death or absence. They may
have the responsibility of caring for their mother, or bear a physical
resemblance to her.
MOON trine MERCURY
Moon trine Mercury indicates those with sound, balanced minds well
integrated with their emotions. They have ability to develop organizational
techniques, as well as the capacity to ascertain and analyze details
even if they make no attempt to keep track of these details. Though
it may not be deliberate manipulation on their part they usually know
just what to say and when to say it. Instinctively knowing what others
want to hear and their clever communication skills are the keys to
their success.
MOON trine VENUS
Getting others to cooperate with them is almost always an easy matter
for those with Moon trine Venus, often requiring little or no real
effort on their part. This aspect implies easy charm, gracious manners,
and the potential for artistic talent. They have keen intellects and
highly developed social and diplomatic skills, though how they apply
these skills or how well they use them depends on other factors in
their personalities.
MOON trine JUPITER
Moon trine Jupiter indicates those who get away with a lot. They can
talk themselves into or out of any situation. Surrounded by, perhaps
even responsible for scandal or criminal activities, they may be the
only one to escape the consequences. Wastefulness, laziness, exaggeration
and taking too much for granted are all potential traits accorded
to this aspect, but so are great talent, genius, spirituality, and
a bent for politics.
MOON square PLUTO
Moon square Pluto indicates those who may have the unfortunate habit
of outsmarting themselves. They are apt to have analytical ability
and keen perceptiveness but those traits can sometimes get in the
way. Looking for hidden motives or continually thinking there may
be something beyond the obvious may simply be a waste of their time.
Revenge and possessiveness can threaten the happiness of relationships.
Many of them have an instinctive understanding of power, where it
is and who has it. Overcoming the need to possess power for themselves
they can then set about to let it work for them indirectly, and in
this way attain great success.
HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers,
capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children,
and speculative ventures.
GEMINI on 5th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the fifth house indicates individuals who want to identify
their creative personality with intellectual skill. In other words,
they want the products of their imaginations or artistic skills to
be more than just entertaining or beautiful to others. They want them
to convey some special meaning or moral principle. A fifth house Gemini
influence can mean they have special communicative skills, such as
creative writing or the ability to flawlessly impersonate others.
Though not above taking a chance on one throw of the dice, they are
more apt to enjoy learning the real mechanics of gambling or trading
stock and commodities. They may even devise a unique system of their
own for gambling and other speculative ventures. They are romantically
attracted to those with intellectual ability. A certain amount of
fickleness in romance is highly possible since they have tendencies
to engage in more than one affair at a time. As a rule, they take
great interest in their children's intellectual accomplishments and
enjoy helping them with their studies. They may be the parents of
twins or be a twin themselves.
HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and
unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your
health, and physical fitness.
CANCER on 6th HOUSE
Cancer ruling the sixth house indicates those with delicate or changeable
patterns in their general health. This is not an indication of poor
health, what it amounts to most of the time is that they have a tendency
to experience medical complaints that are annoying but do not usually
represent major illnesses. Many of them would prefer to work at home
and pursue jobs or businesses they can successfully operate at home.
There is also the possibility their work will be related to food,
homes, domestic products or services, women, or children. They usually
exhibit mothering instincts toward co-workers or develop strong emotional
ties with them. As a rule they work better with women or children
than with men, but the strength of that instinct depends on other
factors in their individual natal charts. They may demonstrate inconsistency
in work habits and perhaps in their ability to retain jobs. This characteristic
is not necessarily related to poor attitudes or laziness on their
part. Their health and psychological outlook are strongly affected
by the type of work they do and when the working environment is not
suitable for one reason or another, they may have frequent absences.
On the other hand, if they derive emotional satisfaction from their
jobs, they make excellent workers.
HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures
of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others
tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters,
negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as
well as adversarial.
CANCER on 7th HOUSE
Cancer ruling the seventh house indicates those who are often the
beneficiaries of valuable assistance. Whether or not they ask for
it, they engender strong, protective or nurturing instincts in others.
When these individuals achieve outstanding success, there is a good
chance it was not without impressive help from others. They are vulnerable
to the influence of others, and though there are usually some differences
between the type of influence a seventh-house Cancer has on males
as opposed to females, the influence can be interchangeable in one
form or another. In a male's chart, it indicates he is likely to select
a wife who strongly resembles or exhibits the characteristics of his
mother. He may marry a woman that adopts a mother's role toward him
as well as that of a wife. It is also possible he will marry someone
younger than himself. A female with this Cancerian influence usually
exhibits strong emotional identification with her husband. She will
be dominated by marrying a man with a forceful nature, or indirectly
dominated by his money or status. Even if the marriage fails, she
may have difficulty finding psychological release from her relationship.
The positive side of Cancer's influence is the potential for close,
loving relationships.
URANUS in 7th HOUSE
If these individuals manage to accomplish a long and stable marriage,
they can count themselves fortunate. The influence of Uranus in the
seventh house rarely allows such peaceful or uninterrupted alliances.
There is likelihood of more than one marriage or, in some cases, their
need for personal independence discourages marriage altogether. There
is also the possibility that they may marry suddenly and unexpectedly,
or that marriage may be abruptly terminated. Their marriage partner
or the marriage itself may be unusual or unorthodox, or at least considered
to be unusual in their particular society. These individuals possess
natural poise and ability when it comes to relating well to others.
Strangers usually feel so comfortable on meeting them, that they feel
they have known these individuals for a long time. The potential influence
of Uranus in the seventh house suggests those who, for one reason
or another, appear unusual or different to others. In turn, these
individuals can expect to encounter more than their own share of strange
or unusual people. Cooperative efforts, joint ventures, and partnerships
may be unusual; or they may be established in unorthodox ways or for
unusual reasons.
SUN in 7th HOUSE
Sun in the seventh house suggests people-oriented individuals. This
angular sun position indicates those whose ego is tied to partnerships,
cooperative efforts, and how they relate to other people in general.
Even those who are very independent are likely to find that their
best achievements are made possible by or with a partner or partners.
To suggest that these individuals are unable to succeed by working
alone would be a fallacy and an excuse for idleness. The seventh house
sun merely implies that they are likely to achieve success through
opportunities others provide, but not because others have done their
work for them. Their strong feeling that fairness and equality should
exist at all levels of society is sometimes at odds with their actions
or life style.
SUN square MOON
Sun square Moon indicates those more capable than most in finding
situations and relationships in which they are egotistically satisfied
as well as emotionally fulfilled. However, for such relationships
to be successful they will nevertheless have to make some inner adjustments
of one kind or another. They nearly always succeed once they have
learned that the key to most things they want lies in their willingness
to give up one thing in order to get another.
SUN sextile NEPTUNE
Sun sextile Neptune suggests those who are apt to have highly developed
intuition when it comes to taking advantage of opportunities. However,
they can be guilty of letting lack of ambition or laziness prevent
them from exploiting their advantages. Many opportunities that come
their way represent the chance to gain spiritual or artistic growth.
SUN conjunct PLUTO
These individuals may be strong self-promoters or, at least promoters
of something. No matter how pleasant or easy-going their outer personalities
may appear, they have strong wills and very competitive dispositions
when they want something. Consciously or subconsciously, there is
an underlying ego involvement in everything they do. With this aspect
there is always the danger of jealousy, possessiveness, and vengefulness.
The degree to which they give in to such feelings depends on other
factors in their personalities and backgrounds.
PLUTO in 7th HOUSE
Pluto in the seventh house indicates those who feel compelled to control
and manipulate relationships. If they happen to have an aggressive
nature, they are compelled to interfere with other peoples' relationships
as well as their own, not always with happy results. The negative
potential includes those who are victims of manipulation by others
including their marriage partner. Pluto's influence in the seventh
house suggests individuals who consciously or subconsciously want
to gain the first advantage where other people are concerned. They
do not have a strong sense of cooperation or fair play unless factors
in their personality or background encourage them to develop a more
even-handed approach in dealing with others. Pluto does, however,
imply justice in the form of eventual retribution. Sooner or later,
they are likely to get what they deserve, both good and bad. Whether
or not they make a conscious effort to do so, they attract people
who are intellectually superior or who have more power or status than
themselves. Other potentials include those for whom marriage becomes
a continual contest of wills, and joint ventures or other cooperative
efforts turn into power struggles.
MARS in 7th HOUSE
Mars in the seventh house indicates those who put much vitality and
energy into relationships, marriage, business partnerships or joint
ventures, and dealing with other people in general. They enthuse and
encourage others to be sure, but they also rely on others to engender
and constantly rekindle energy and vitality within themselves. Being
cut off from the stimulation of interactions, or working alone can
be detrimental to developing motivations they need to get things done.
Marriage or business partnerships may not always be easy to establish.
Their energy and activities may be sapped or overshadowed by an overly
aggressive partner. They are apt to encounter or initiate many open
confrontations. Negative factors in their personality or background
can mean argumentative and even violent encounters, and loss of a
partner through accident. These individuals may seek a career in law
or contract negotiation, or marry someone who works in these areas.
MARS square SATURN
Mars square Saturn indicates those apt to have impatience and inner
negativity, which may not always reflect in their personalities. They
often have a keen sense of humor and a ready laugh but are nevertheless
what might be considered "straight arrows. " They are usually ambitious,
but their physical energy and enthusiasm may falter in the middle
of a project, leaving the task of finishing to others. Sometimes it
is a case of those who refuse to falter or give up, taking on all
the responsibilities themselves or being forced to assume them.
MARS conjunct PLUTO
In most cases Mars conjunct Pluto indicates those with remarkable
physical and emotional strength. They are apt to have endless capacity
to work hard and play hard. The problem is that they can be too intense
or aggressive at times which makes others feel ill at ease. Weaponry,
psychology, counseling, raw materials, surgery, cooking, mines and
caves, secret activities and groups, or renovations are particular
areas of interest to these individuals.
HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the
income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes
your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and use material
assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house
also indicates sexual attitudes and behavior.
VIRGO on the 8th HOUSE
Virgo ruling the eighth house indicates the likelihood of those concerned
with personal resources and how these resources might be put to better
use and improved. It also suggests that they or their marriage partners
may be involved in stock market and commodity investments, tax matters,
insurance, or in handling the financial affairs of others. The negative
potential of Virgo's eighth house influence implies the possibility
of experiencing unfortunate circumstances in financial matters, or
that these individuals are continually bogged down in details and
responsibilities regarding them. It also indicates they may give more
time and attention to analyzing how sexual situations can be turned
into ideal experiences (or at least improved according to their personal
standards) than they do to physical enjoyment. Satisfactory sexual
relations may require as much mental stimulation as physical excitement.
On the positive side however, it can mean individuals who have outstanding
research or counseling talent.
MERCURY in 8th HOUSE
Mercury in the eighth house indicates those apt to give a lot of thought
to the mysteries of life, and likely to come up with some ideas of
their own on this subject. Many have interest in the occult and other
arcane matters, psychological and psychic phenomena, and planes of
existence beyond physical reality. Mercury's influence also leads
to interest or work in the stock market and commodity investments,
tax or insurance matters, or in handling the financial affairs of
others. The negative potential of this Mercury house position can
mean unfortunate circumstances related to any of these matters, or
being constantly bogged down in details regarding them. It also indicates
that they may spend more time talking and thinking about sex than
they do participating in it. Satisfactory sexual experiences may require
mental as well as physical stimulation. Expressing their ideas and
opinions is not apt to be a way of merely passing the time, and they
may be secretive regarding information or knowledge they possess.
They are serious-minded and do not enjoy pointless small talk, though
they do not always resist the temptation to engage in interesting
gossip.
MERCURY conjunct VENUS
There is no certain indication of the depth of intellect in individuals
with Mercury conjunct Venus but they are sure to have humor and charm.
They are good talkers and are apt to possess remarkable communicative
or artistic talents. Their pleasure in learning can mean research
and serious scholarship in some of them and fondness for gossip in
others.
VENUS in 8th HOUSE
Venus in the eighth house indicates those who tend to be quiet but
intense in social environments. They need highly motivated reasons
to engage in superficial small talk for which they probably have limited
ability and less patience. There may be an element of mystery or secrecy
in sexual encounters. Though it may not be deliberate on their part,
they give the appearance of being enigmatic or intriguing to others.
The influence of Venus implies the potential for jealousy and possessiveness
in sex and romance even when these individuals do not exhibit such
traits with regard to other matters. It also indicates financial gain
as well as increased social life and status through marriage. The
positive side of this Venus house position also indicates remarkable
ability to understand the psychology of human motivation and relationships.
Negative factors in their personality or background can mean those
who marry for the purpose of gain, loss of money or status through
marriage, sexually transmitted disease, and neurotic social tendencies.
VENUS conjunct JUPITER
Venus conjunct Jupiter indicates those likely to have generous, philanthropic
natures unless severe afflictions occur in their personalities and
backgrounds. There is certain to be cultural pursuits and appreciation
of knowledge, though there may not be patience enough, or perhaps
too much laziness for great scholarship, unless a high motivational
factor presents itself. There is love of adventure, drama, and a keen
and ready wit.
JUPITER in 8th HOUSE
Jupiter in the eighth house indicates those who feel that a vital
part of their independence (and importance) as an individual depends
on making the most of their material and non-material resources. They
may be very interested in the stock market, handle investments for
others, or be involved with taxes, insurance, and estate planning.
Jupiter in the eighth house is also an implication of remarkable recuperative
powers. The potential involves more than recovery from physical illness,
it includes emotional upheavals, financial setbacks and other disappointments
or failures. Eighth house Jupiter refers to the possibility of a wealthy
marriage partner, but it also implies that their partner's income
may be derived through writing, publishing, politics, law, foreign
trade, or education. The negative potential is that the expansiveness
and optimism of Jupiter can mean wasted resources and the accumulation
of monumental debt.
HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing,
publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies,
religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits.
It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To
a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health
of your mother.
LIBRA on 9th HOUSE
Libra ruling the ninth house increases the likelihood of being culturally
oriented, spiritually inspired, literary-minded, musical, or philosophically
and intellectually disposed. These individuals may like to think of
themselves as citizens of the world, and if their various social and
intellectual interests are allowed full expression, they may indeed
fit such a description. The Libra influence signifies they may be
judges, legislators, teachers, musicians, artists, or work in communications,
foreign service or international law. The negative potential can mean
antisocial or prejudiced attitudes, trouble with in-laws, or unfavorable
court judgments. It also implies individuals with difficulty obtaining
advanced degrees or so many degrees they become dilettante scholars.
Though there is potential for overly idealistic or impractical notions
regarding religion and social structures, Libra's influence suggests
these individuals will strike a balance between their ideals and practical
reality. There is the possibility of romance or marriage in a foreign
country or with a person of a different race or culture.
NEPTUNE in 9th HOUSE
Neptune in the ninth house indicates those who are highly intelligent
but also vulnerable to mental confusion, fanaticism or misplaced idealism.
They may be totally organized and efficient in some things, while
appallingly inattentive to facts and details in others. Depending
on other factors in their personality and background, they may be
a dangerous master of the art of deception or a highly successful
promoter. They are apt to have interest in religion and spiritualism.
Neptune's negative influence includes the possibility of disillusionment,
deception, or illegal activities in a foreign country or involving
foreigners. On the positive side, Neptune's influence can mean that
their experiences with those of another race or culture may be highly
inspirational or spiritual. Neptune in the ninth house implies work
or interest in publishing (especially of occult or religious writing)
or counseling. These individuals are also compassionate judges and
sensitive teachers. A ninth house Neptune suggests a parent (mother)
or a sibling's spouse may suffer from disabilities, drugs or alcohol,
or they may be employed in a job that involves maritime industry,
religion, photography, medicine, psychology, footwear, or those who
are institutionalized, disabled, or minorities. Relations with in-laws,
a second marriage, and court decisions can become confused or undermined
by deception, misunderstandings, or other influences.
NEPTUNE sextile PLUTO
Neptune sextile Pluto is an aspect of extremely long duration. The
current sextile between these two planets has been affecting generations
for the last forty years. This long term Neptune aspect influences
on society represents constant opportunities to change the course
of existing structures and pave the way for new ones. Those who will
live under the influence of the other aspects (i. e. , conjunction,
square, trine, and opposition) as they occur between these planets
in the future will have to deal with the ideologies and other societal
institutions that we have had the opportunities to create.
HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals,
public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates
to your father and his influence in your life.
SCORPIO on 10th HOUSE
Scorpio ruling the tenth house is an implication of those who are
apt to suffer some traumatic event in youth that greatly affects them
as adults. The trauma may have been the death of a parent, or physical
or mental abuse by a parent or other family member. There may have
been a suicide or other deeply troubling incident related to friends.
No matter what the reality of their childhood, somewhere along the
line they manage to develop the sense of having no control over things.
As a result, they have great reluctance to allow anyone else to assume
control over their lives and destinies. If for one reason or another,
they do relinquish such control, it can be a significant impediment
to their growth and maturity. There may be a complete change of career
for them later in life. There is also implication that, if they do
not gain public attention and power themselves, they attract friends
and associates who gain such positions. Whether by choice or circumstance
there is often an element of mystery or secrecy connected with their
careers, public image, their fathers, or the background of their marriage
or business partners.
SATURN in 10th HOUSE
Tenth house Saturn indicates those who have special concerns related
to their father, as well as supervisors and other authority figures
in general. These individuals may be separated at a young age from
their father, or he may be austere, strict, or overburdened with responsibilities.
They may have to assume responsibility for him. The strongest motivations
these individuals have in life is related to the positive or negative
paternal relationship they experienced. Saturn's influence suggests
those with strong career goals. They seek positions of authority and
are dedicated to pushing themselves relentlessly forward. As a result,
they usually accomplish much of what they set out to do, though it
may take them a bit longer to succeed. It is well for these individuals
to remember that whatever success or good fortune they gain will be
accompanied by heavy responsibilities. Those willing to accept their
rewards on this basis will do well in life. Those who waste what they
attain or abuse any authority or power with which they are entrusted,
are invariably disgraced and forced to start over.
SATURN trine URANUS
Saturn trine Uranus is a generational aspect with a fortunate influence
that usually indicates conditions in which society enjoys a healthy
economy, a bullish stock market, and relatively low unemployment.
Even underdeveloped nations may expect some benefit from this aspect.
Individuals born in this generation are likely to personally benefit
in some way from these positive conditions in society.
HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong,
and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages
earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of
others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business
associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations
and capacity for happiness.
SAGITTARIUS on 11th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the eleventh house indicates those whose friends
and acquaintances help them achieve important advancements as well
as personal growth. It also suggests those with a tendency to make
far more friends and acquaintances than a single lifetime can reasonably
afford. Their friends are apt to include intellectuals, travelers,
artists, clerics, people connected with the theater, and those of
a different race or culture. There is the strong possibility they
may attach far more importance to friendships than is necessary. They
are also apt to feel they are friends with someone even though in
reality their association with that person may consist of nothing
more than a single brief meeting. The other unfortunate implication
is that with the expansive nature of Sagittarius, these individuals
may find it difficult to ever be content with anything, always wanting
more than what they have. The positive influence on the other hand,
means that much happiness and joy is derived through friends and associates,
and the enhanced capacity for being optimistic and happy no matter
what life brings.
HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your
subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or
work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow,
disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry.
It also has connection with the job or health of your marriage or
business partner.
CAPRICORN on 12th HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the twelfth house indicates the likelihood of individuals
who voluntarily or involuntarily spend much time alone. They may have
outgoing personalities and many friends, but one circumstance or another
forces them into solitude. They may also have such fear of being alone
that they actively seek to avoid it at all costs. There is also implication
their marriage partners may have difficulty finding employment, or
jobs that entail many responsibilities which becomes another reason
why these individuals may have to spend time alone. There is also
a possibility their marriage partners will suffer from lingering or
chronic illness. Success is possible, but gaining true recognition
for what they do may be difficult. They are apt to be victims of unfounded
fears and unnecessary worry. Though their curiosity about psychic
phenomena and the occult may be keen, they don't really want to know
the future, at least not their own future. They are, however, quite
ready to study the past, and from their understanding of it, build
the structure by which they can effectively deal with the present.
