PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned
with your individual traits.
The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon),
learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and
sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical
energy (Mars).
The second section describes how well you deal internally with the
external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for
happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations
(Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative
ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status
quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals,
morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with
or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government
and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and
distribution of natural resources (Pluto).
SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential
and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about.
It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take,
and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is
your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect
and authority, to impress and influence others.
SUN in CAPRICORN
As the tenth sign of the zodiac, Capricorn represents the tenth stage
in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. Having gained
power and control through emotions and knowledge in Scorpio and Sagittarius,
Capricorn seeks control by virtue of authority. All authority is given
its control by rules and regulations which civilized society accepts
and with which they must comply in order to progress. For all their
concern with legality or the propriety of things, Capricorns can be
guilty of making or enforcing rules they themselves do not follow.
Blinded by their own ambition, and obsessed with their goals, they
adopt the philosophy that the end justifies the means.
Capricorns are doers. They set out to accomplish things and are determined
to succeed one way or another. By nature they are executives and managers.
Ambitious, pragmatic, and goal-oriented, they learn how to get things
done. The mountain goat is an appropriate astrological symbol for
this sign since a sure-footed, methodical climb to the top is the
main goal of Capricorn individuals. They aspire to positions of power
and authority, and they admire others who attain such positions. Initiative
and willingness to accept responsibilities are keys to their success.
Wanting to be admired and respected, they do not want to appear weak
or ineffective. This false pride makes it hard for them to admit when
they are wrong or to ask others for help. Though they aggressively
compete for what they want with apparent sureness, they harbor inner
lack of confidence which makes them defensive. Viewing insecurity
and fear as weaknesses, they attempt to hide such feelings, making
it hard for others to get close to them. As children they have unusual
maturity. They are in a hurry to participate in the adult world and
often get along better with older children and adults than with their
peers.
Capricorns react to what they experience by assessing its possible
worth. Before they take physical action, before they sort out their
emotional involvement, and before they reason it out intellectually,
they must ascertain what tangible advantages are to be gained from
the experience. They gladly work long and hard if it means getting
what or who they want. They can be very lazy if they see no sense
in working, or if they can achieve the same goals in a less strenuous
manner. They have a good sense of humor but will not tolerate being
ridiculed or teased on a personal level. Those who set out to so abuse
a Capricorn, will soon learn the error of their ways.
Saturn, planet of structure and reality, is the ruler of Capricorn,
which means that Capricorns need to know and understand limits in
all areas of life. Early in life they should be taught traditional
values, rules and regulations, and proper thought and behavior. Even
if they reject these things later, it allows them to develop and focus
on specific goals. Without the structure of rules, restrictions, and
values to guide them up the mountain toward their goals, they lose
their way. Ambition and enthusiasm fade. Knowing the rules and regulations
and the way that society is structured makes them feel they understand
the reality of life. And for Capricorn, once the reality of something
is understood, it is much easier to handle and manipulate. This approach
makes them good builders, engineers, politicians, lawyers, and business
executives. Capricorns often look older or more mature when they are
young. However, when they reach middle age the reverse occurs. They
seem to defy the aging process, and retain a remarkably youthful appearance
well into old age.
Capricorns usually do not have a predisposition to be fat. Good dietary
habits in their youth tend to stay with them as adults. Their innate
spirit of competition makes them enthusiastic sportsmen. They can
be so aggressively determined to win, it is difficult for them to
be gracious when they lose. They make good team players as well as
good team managers. Jogging, running (especially cross-country), golf,
skating, hunting, wrestling, boxing, martial arts, and body-building
are favorite activities. They also favor gun collecting, perhaps because
guns are undeniable symbols of authority.
Capricorn colors are chocolate brown, royal and navy blue, dark green,
charcoal gray, and red. Vulnerable parts of the body are the bones
and joints (especially the knees), teeth, and skin. Though sensitive
skin, allergies, and broken bones are their most likely complaints,
worrying too much can also result in physical problems. The garnet
is Capricorn's birthstone. This gemstone is believed to keep its wearers
from accidents and falls. In some ancient societies garnets were worn
only by royalty. Capricorn flowers include the camellia, orange blossom,
carnation (red), baby's breath, and magnolia.
MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency
or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle
relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences.
It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional,
and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment.
It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important
females in your life.
MOON in CAPRICORN
Except in the pursuit of pleasure (to which many of them can be quite
dedicated) those born with the moon in an Earth sign are not emotionally
spontaneous. They don't nonchalantly accept the responsibility of
long-term relationships, or analyze emotional commitments merely as
a mental exercise. They may hesitate to move at all unless they feel
they are on solid ground, or there is some personal advantage to be
gained by their emotional involvement. As lunar Earth sign personalities,
those with moon in Capricorn are of a practical nature. Though willing
to fulfill responsibilities for a relationship, they are often unable
or unwilling to understand what the other person actually wants or
needs. Capricorn's influence on these lunar personalities is demonstrated
by their tendency to worry, and their need for structure and formality.
They find it hard to relate to those who do not share their opinions
and values. Reluctant or unable to discuss their own problems, they
are nevertheless quite willing to help with the problems of others.
It is never very easy for them to express their deepest emotions,
to feel relaxed and content inside themselves. Fear of rejection is
strong. Anything vague or unspecified in a relationship, whether business
or personal, makes them feel insecure. They must know where they stand.
Everything must be proper and legal. When it comes to romance and
marriage, it may take them longer to find someone they can love as
well as trust.
Capricorn moon personalities are dedicated to getting their own way
and accomplishing personal goals. Ambitious and strong-willed, their
efforts are primarily directed to their own advancement, though they
can be very effective in helping others to progress. They enjoy being
in the spotlight which prompts many of them to seek a public or prominent
position in their work or other activities. They have great respect
for knowledge and are often quite intelligent themselves. Tendency
to harbor anger and resentment instead of allowing themselves some
type of emotional release, can cause physical maladies and depression.
Women with Capricorn moon are likely to be ambitious at the expense
of their personal life. More interested in gaining material wealth
and status, or overburdened with too many responsibilities, they can
miss the joy and satisfaction of relationships. They are excellent
administrators. Men with Capricorn moon have difficulty relating to
women. Relationships with females may be too formal to allow warmth
and closeness, or the bond they share may be so tight as to be emotionally
crippling. Their complicated emotional nature must be handled with
considerable patience and understanding.
MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way
you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information.
It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical
skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get
where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all
possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?
MERCURY in AQUARIUS
Those with natal Mercury in Aquarius have a curious, but usually compatible,
mixture of characteristics associated with their thoughts and ideas
and the expression of those ideas. These individuals are stimulated
by unusual or unorthodox methods and ideas, which they are often successful
at fitting into traditional systems. They have respect for tradition,
but are also able to express traditional ideas in an avant-garde or
unorthodox manner. They can be very stubborn and opinionated, while
at the same time maintain liberal, unbiased attitudes. They are inclined
toward design, architecture, science, finance, and, in some cases,
music or literature. In the matter of learning and transportation,
they can be unpredictable and, at times, highly original and unique.
Whatever they do, they always seem to wittingly or unwittingly attract
a crowd.
VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic
tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions
at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance,
marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit
of pleasure.
VENUS in AQUARIUS
These individuals have wide-ranging social attitudes and behavioral
patterns. For these egalitarian personalities, a restricted code of
social acceptability does not exist. They eagerly accept all types
of people into their social circle. Extremely people-oriented, they
have no trouble attracting many friends and acquaintances. They would
suffer greatly if denied access to a telephone or other means of constant
communication. Though they tend to have a less than passionate approach
to romance and other close relationships, no one denies their essential
loyalty. They tend to become passionate when dealing with humanitarian
principles or spiritual development that for many of them (as they
get older), transcends mere social contacts or physical romance. Financial
as well as people skills make them good fund raisers. They are also
excellent at organizing, social services, teaching, and writing.
MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength
and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your
emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills.
It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations,
and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.
MARS in TAURUS
Individuals with natal Mars in Taurus are not likely to waste their
time or efforts. Whatever they seek to accomplish or to acquire is
consciously or subconsciously linked to satisfying a need for personal
security. For most of them, it is usually in the form of money or
other material assets. Even those who do not seek to amass material
wealth become discouraged if their efforts and activities do not result
in gaining some goal or tangible reward. Physical pleasures are often
the object of their energetic pursuits. The Taurean influence gives
these individuals patience and determination, and is also an indication
of artistic skills. They are likely to possess great physical strength
and stamina, or at least have the capacity to develop them.
JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels;
physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation
of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism
and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.
JUPITER in GEMINI
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Gemini seek to experience growth
and expansion of their intellect. It doesn't guarantee they will be
able to use the knowledge they accumulate, or that they will be given
the opportunity in life to gain it. If fortune or circumstances restrict
their formal education or opportunity to travel, they may become self-educated,
and seek to become prosperous in their immediate environment. Their
continuing interests involve collecting, disseminating, and using
information and ideas.
SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are
apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does
not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good
fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and
meaning.
SATURN in TAURUS
Individuals with natal Saturn in Taurus find it difficult to do something
for nothing. They need tangible thanks and appreciation. They have
to measure themselves; who they are, what they do, and what they have
in relation to the rest of the world. One way or another life presents
them with situations in which they regret that a more spiritual or
philosophical approach was not or could not be used in measuring their
own worth or the relative worth of others.
URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality
of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people
as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures.
Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking
about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people
with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence
of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications
of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the
aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes
areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be
different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique.
Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as
is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers,
and the media.
URANUS in TAURUS
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Taurus do
not care to make changes for the sake of making changes, nor do they
accept originality just because it is different. For them, changes
and innovations must have structure and purpose. Freedom is encouraged
if responsibilities are also accepted. The importance of theories
are recognized but only to the extent that their practical application
is considered feasible.
NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of
society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are
glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism,
and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years,
taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs.
Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign
and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign
is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's
house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your
natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion,
disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't
always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and
describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment,
and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.
NEPTUNE in VIRGO
Among other things Virgo rules the search for ideals, work and the
labor force. During the most recent period of Neptune in Virgo in
1928-1943 idealism went tragically awry in Hitler's plan to eradicate
all those he considered inferior. The National Labor Relations Board
was established to reassert the right to collective bargaining.
PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all
twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve
years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like
atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction
of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence
in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your
personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house
position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope.
Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously
or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also
linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes
the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.
PLUTO in LEO
Pluto's last period in Leo was 1938-1957. Leo rules the king or representative
government. During Pluto's transit of Leo in the late 1600's and early
1700's, John Locke, philosopher of the English Revolution and American
Revolution, wrote his famous essays stating that governments existed
by virtue of voluntary agreements and their function was to protect
the rights of individuals.
PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope.
The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily
basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances
you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality
and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.
HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is
also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality
and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health
and the type of illnesses you may experience.
CANCER ASCENDANT
A Cancer Ascendant indicates those who are dedicated to satisfying
their personal ambitions. However, they can appear so vulnerable that
it is difficult for others to determine just how determined or strong
they really are. They can be quite circumspect and hesitant to reveal
their true goals until they are certain of success. There is potential
they will have traumatic partnerships, especially marriage. Many of
them prefer to marry late in life, and tend to select older or more
mature partners or those who represent an authority figure.
They are emotionally oriented and may attempt to hide this vulnerability
behind a facade of forcefulness even though, more often than not,
the ploy is unsuccessful. Emotional vulnerability does not deny personal
magnetism or ambition. In fact their emotional commitment to something
often causes them to work twice as hard as anyone else, becoming quite
successful in the bargain. Home is not just where their hearts are,
it is usually where they want to physically spend most of their time
and attention.
Cancer is ruled by the moon, which implies strong nurturing instincts
that are evidenced in their caring, sympathetic personalities. In
return, they also seek to be "mothered" and may be guided in life
by a strong person (usually female) who fills this role. Their personalities
are subject to great changes. Consciously or subconsciously they are
highly influenced by others. They may, for example, adopt the latest
fashions or mode of behavior whether or not it is personally flattering,
or they may pursue certain activities they feel give them social status
rather than being something they may truly enjoy.
They are apt to possess culinary skills, and design or architectural
ability. Whether or not they have talent in these areas, they are
apt to have great interest in them. Roundness of face, pale, sensitive
skin, and baldness or finely textured hair are physical attributes
identified with Cancer Ascendant. Their bodies have a strong tendency
to retain water. Their emotional orientation is indicative of an addictive
nature, which means it is difficult to escape a battle with excess
weight or addictive substances. The breasts, stomach, and digestive
system are apt to be their most physically vulnerable areas.
PLUTO in 1st HOUSE
Pluto in the first house indicates those who are intensely aware of
themselves. Apt to be quiet and unassuming, these individuals also
possess personal magnetism. Some of them choose to develop their personal
magnetism to great advantage, while others allow it to lie dormant.
Though they are likely to enjoy being surrounded by very powerful
people, they may show little evidence of wanting to project a similar
image of power themselves. Outwardly these individuals are often so
pleasant and accommodating that, unless others make a serious attempt
to probe beneath the surface, the intensity and depth of their personality
stays hidden. When strongly motivated however, the energy and stamina
they exhibit is fierce. They are highly resourceful, and can develop
remarkable powers of recuperation and survival.
HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary
income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates
the values and priorities you establish throughout life.
LEO on 2nd HOUSE
Leo ruling the second house indicates individuals with a need for
possessing advantages. These advantages are linked to their egos and
are not necessarily always represented by money or material assets.
These individuals may, for example, be more interested in gaining
power or personal status by having important friends or acquaintances.
Their schemes for attaining what they want can be original and creative,
as well as grandiose and unrealistic. Their goals are not always self-centered.
They can be very altruistic and include charitable or philanthropic
endeavors. How well they handle what they gain, or even if they will
succeed in getting what they want, is another matter and not determined
solely by Leo's influence on the second house. The point is, that
they tend to measure their own self worth by material possessions,
power or status, or the grandness of what they are able to accomplish.
HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation,
self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity
and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It
indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within
your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also
describes the job or health of your father.
VIRGO on 3rd HOUSE
Virgo ruling the third house indicates those concerned with communication
and transportation. They are apt to be writers, teachers, publishers,
salespersons, and involved in community projects, transportation or
travel. Other mental occupations such as design and engineering are
also indicated by Virgo's influence. There is apt to be a lot of visiting
and communication with neighbors and siblings. These individuals seem
to always know what's going on in their immediate environment. If
they have nothing better to occupy their time however, they can be
guilty of becoming more involved in idle gossip than in genuine community
business. They are apt to have well developed critical and analytical
facilities and a high degree of instinctual understanding. Not ESP
exactly but what may seem like ESP. The negative potential of Virgo's
influence can mean speech impediments, hearing loss, or learning disabilities.
It also includes accident proneness, tendency to experience mechanical
difficulties, or lack of mechanical ability. The positive side of
Virgo's influence indicates talent for arts and crafts, medicine,
food preparation, and a lot of common sense.
HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and
family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning
as well as the end of various cycles in your life.
VIRGO on 4th HOUSE
Virgo ruling the fourth house indicates those who are likely to prefer
working at home or spend a great deal of time with hobbies or projects
at home. They often possess extensive collections of magazines and
other factual material. If they happen to be more mechanically inclined
than intellectually oriented, their homes become bases for tinkering
with mechanical devices, the most popular of which are automobiles.
Because of the sensitive, critical nature of Virgo, its influence
implies they have a critical eye toward certain aspects of their households.
They may, for example, have a compulsion to maintain neat well-organized
homes. They allow their homes to be used for community meetings or
other neighborhood projects. The negative potential of Virgo's influence
can mean arguments or separation from siblings, as well as estrangements
and disagreements with neighbors. Virgo's influence suggests that
the domestic nature of these individuals can be very restless, indicating
frequent changes of residence, frequent alterations to their homes,
or maintaining more than one residence.
NEPTUNE in 4th HOUSE
Being an adopted child is one of the potentials for those with Neptune
in the fourth house. Childhood experiences can make these individuals
feel they were deprived or abandoned, even if it is not true. They
may have a very spiritual, sensitive, or even psychic relationship
with their mother. She herself may be deeply spiritual, intuitive
or psychic. She may suffer from the use of drugs, or there may be
secrets, scandal, or mystery surrounding her or her family. Other
potentials include those whose home and family life can be vague or
disjointed. Their domestic environment can also be very spiritual,
or highly artistic and imaginative. Whatever the home or family is
like, there are certain elements of illusion or confusion surrounding
it. These individuals may reside near the ocean or other body of water.
It is necessary for them to be able to retreat to their home and family
in order to restore their mental and physical energies. However, they
have to avoid the tendency to hide at home, refusing to face the reality
of the outside world. Negative factors include danger of drowning,
and those whose home may be damaged by water or gas.
HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers,
capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children,
and speculative ventures.
SCORPIO on 5th HOUSE
The subtle energy of Scorpio ruling the fifth house indicates those
who want the satisfaction of enjoying outward manifestations of their
creative efforts. They may not necessarily want the spotlight for
themselves but will seek attention for whatever their creativity has
produced. If they lack artistic talent or opportunities to develop
such abilities, their creative outlet may be expressed by having children,
and their relationships with children are apt to be unusually close.
However, there is danger that those who lack a sense of personal security
will consciously or subconsciously emotionally manipulate and control
their offspring. There is also the potential they may not have children,
preferring to pour their energy into other creative projects and activities.
No matter how modest or unaggressive they may be, there is sure to
be a healthy ego involvement, sometimes vainglorious pride. They are
romantically attracted to those who are at least as intellectually
gifted as themselves, or who have more status or power. Whether by
accident or design, their romantic attachments or creative projects
may involve an element of mystery or secretiveness.
HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and
unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your
health, and physical fitness.
SAGITTARIUS on 6th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the sixth house indicates individuals with a strong
streak of independence that urges many of them to operate their own
businesses rather than work for others. However even those don't mind
being employed by others, are still likely to have a very independent
attitude toward work habits. They are happiest when allowed to work
unsupervised, set their own pace, decide their own deadlines, and
fix their own schedules. The negative potential can mean those with
health problems caused by overindulgence. Their job performance may
suffer from chronic disorganization or procrastination, or a too-confining
work environment. They prefer jobs that involve selling, sports, traveling
or publishing. They also enjoy consulting, law, education, religion,
and art. They are apt to be animal lovers, though as animal trainers
they may lack the urge to maintain the constant discipline needed
for control. The same thing may be said about their personal lives
and relationships with those who work for or with them.
HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures
of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others
tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters,
negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as
well as adversarial.
CAPRICORN on 7th HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the seventh house has many implications concerning
the marital situation of these individuals. One of the first considerations
is that they are not apt to meet with good fortune if they marry too
young or without a great deal of consideration. There is also the
possibility they will marry someone older or more mature. If there
are negative factors in their personalities or backgrounds it can
mean marriage and its attendant responsibilities may seem so severe
as to prohibit their ever attempting to marry. Yet another potentiality
is that either they or their marriage partners will view marriage
as a means of obtaining security. There is no direct implication of
whether they are the ones to embark on such a venture, or the ones
destined to be married for their money or status. Capricorn's influence
on the seventh house does not mean marriage will be unhappy and indeed,
it may be stable, enduring, and become happier as the years go by.
However, others may tend to regard their marriages as restrictive,
too formal or somber. It may be difficult for them to enter into light-hearted
relationships, and whether they mean to or not, may acquire responsibilities
for people in whom they have no special interest.
MOON in 7th HOUSE
Moon in the seventh house indicates those who are apt to be the beneficiaries
of assistance from others, whether or not they have asked for such
assistance. They engender strong protective or nurturing instincts
in others, and may achieve success solely through the help they receive.
The moon's influence in the seventh house is indicative of the emotional
nature of the marriage and marriage partner. A man with seventh house
moon, for example, will usually select a wife who physically resembles
or exhibits characteristics of his mother. He may marry a very young
woman, or a woman willing to play the role of mother as well as wife
to him. A woman with moon in the seventh house exhibits strong emotional
identification with her husband. She is apt to be dominated in marriage,
either by marrying a man with forceful nature, or by the authority
or status her husband represents. Even if they divorce, there is the
potential she will have difficulty finding psychological release from
the failed marriage.
MOON trine SATURN
Moon trine Saturn is an altogether agreeable aspect for most of the
individuals who inherit it. It implies recognition of their talents
and achievements and reaping the rewards for which they have worked.
Their emotional lives are apt to be just as fortunate, since they
inspire stable, long lasting relationships. When they need help and
guidance they get it and in return, are willing to help others succeed.
MOON trine URANUS
Moon trine Uranus indicates those with remarkable poise, ability to
handle many difficult or unusual situations with understanding and
aplomb. Intellectually curious and keenly intelligent, these egalitarian
individuals can emotionally identify with people everywhere and from
all levels of society. Emotional attachments may be unpredictable
and erratic but rewarding and unique sources of their personal growth.
MOON trine NEPTUNE
The influence of Moon trine Neptune is difficult to predict for each
individual who inherits it. Though it implies good fortune, keen intuition,
and remarkable artistic talent, it can also mean addiction, laziness,
and wastefulness. Developing a strong character and clear sense of
reality from youth is the key to success in making this aspect work
for them rather than against them.
SUN in 7th HOUSE
Sun in the seventh house suggests people-oriented individuals. This
angular sun position indicates those whose ego is tied to partnerships,
cooperative efforts, and how they relate to other people in general.
Even those who are very independent are likely to find that their
best achievements are made possible by or with a partner or partners.
To suggest that these individuals are unable to succeed by working
alone would be a fallacy and an excuse for idleness. The seventh house
sun merely implies that they are likely to achieve success through
opportunities others provide, but not because others have done their
work for them. Their strong feeling that fairness and equality should
exist at all levels of society is sometimes at odds with their actions
or life style.
SUN conjunct MOON
These individuals are apt to risk all their money on one horse, so
to speak; the result of impatience with the constant struggle of deciding
whether to follow their hearts or their brains. The negative associations
of this conjunction include repression and emotional isolation. The
positive influence signifies well integrated personalities that successfully
balance personal desires with consideration for others. They may be
opinionated and willful at times but they are also dedicated and loyal.
SUN square MARS
Sun square Mars indicates those who tend to be confrontational and
aggressive. Unnecessary competitiveness and impatience are often the
reasons for their personal disasters. Their egos are too easily affronted
and this can be their undoing. However, turning the energy of frustrations
into constructive action is what gives many of them the necessary
drive to accomplish the things that in the end make them highly successful.
SUN trine SATURN
Sun trine Saturn indicates individuals with a certain type of luck.
There is no lucky throw of the dice they can count on, it is usually
luck they make for themselves. They may not win at horse races, but
they will always come out ahead in situations where they have worked
hard and for which they have prepared well. Their own actions or other
people impressed with their past prudence and hard work provide any
additional help they need to get ahead.
SUN trine URANUS
Sun trine Uranus indicates those likely to be flexible or at least
able to adopt a different point of view to see if ideas other than
their own will work. Though their reactions can sometimes be unpredictable,
they rarely adopt totally negative attitudes, and are willing to accept
almost any possibility. They are apt to be egalitarian in their attitudes
toward society, interested in and accepting of all people, regardless
of their backgrounds, race, and culture.
SUN trine NEPTUNE
Though there is a certain amount of good fortune indicated with Sun
trine Neptune, it is elusive and not to be counted on. It may mean
fortunate circumstances occur as the result of lucky hunches on their
part, or simply as a result of their being in the right place at the
right time. This aspect indicates artistic talent and sensitivity,
and fortunately or unfortunately, it also implies the ability to get
away with deception.
SUN opposite PLUTO
Sun opposite Pluto indicates that in order to get ahead these individuals
must learn how to deal with power plays. Their attempts may be frustrated
at every turn by this sort of situation. Like it or not, their success
is apt to be in the hands of those who have more control or more resources
than they do. Understanding those who oppose them and abiding by their
rules is the only way around this dilemma.
HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the
income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes
your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and use material
assets as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house
also indicates sexual attitudes and behavior.
AQUARIUS on 8th HOUSE
Aquarius ruling the eighth house indicates those with unpredictable
or unusual attitudes concerning sex that may, in fact, have a tendency
to purposely run contrary to current popular opinion. They may, for
example, be rigid when prevailing notions accommodate laxity in sexual
behavior. They may then become very liberal when society imposes too
many restrictions. Whatever their stated views, they can suddenly
change and, in addition, are apt to experience unusual sexual situations.
The influence of Aquarius can also mean that the circumstances of
their inheritance, joint finances, debts, and corporate funds they
handle may suddenly be reversed or changed in some way. The income
of their marriage partners is also vulnerable to sudden change. It
is also possible that their partner's income may be derived by some
unorthodox method, or from such areas as medicine, social organizations,
fund raising, or international finance. Many of these individuals
devise or use ingenious or unorthodox methods (not necessarily illegal)
regarding taxes and insurance or for recovering debts.
MERCURY in 8th HOUSE
Mercury in the eighth house indicates those apt to give a lot of thought
to the mysteries of life, and likely to come up with some ideas of
their own on this subject. Many have interest in the occult and other
arcane matters, psychological and psychic phenomena, and planes of
existence beyond physical reality. Mercury's influence also leads
to interest or work in the stock market and commodity investments,
tax or insurance matters, or in handling the financial affairs of
others. The negative potential of this Mercury house position can
mean unfortunate circumstances related to any of these matters, or
being constantly bogged down in details regarding them. It also indicates
that they may spend more time talking and thinking about sex than
they do participating in it. Satisfactory sexual experiences may require
mental as well as physical stimulation. Expressing their ideas and
opinions is not apt to be a way of merely passing the time, and they
may be secretive regarding information or knowledge they possess.
They are serious-minded and do not enjoy pointless small talk, though
they do not always resist the temptation to engage in interesting
gossip.
MERCURY trine JUPITER
Unless other factors in their personalities inhibit them, those with
Mercury trine Jupiter are great talkers. Whether they have anything
worthy to say is beside the point; they say it anyway. They may rely
too heavily at times on the intellectual efforts of others and, even
worse, may appropriate the material as their own. They think they
can talk their way out of (or into) any situation, and much of the
time they have the intelligence and communicative skills to do it.
MERCURY opposite PLUTO
Sharing information is not always to the liking of those with Mercury
opposite Pluto unless they get something useful in return. There is
always a power situation or impediment that blocks the free flow of
information or knowledge they either give or receive. Some of these
individuals behave mysteriously or attempt to disguise their knowledge
or true motives. Consciously or subconsciously they seek to use knowledge
to gain control, rather than personal growth.
VENUS in 8th HOUSE
Venus in the eighth house indicates those who tend to be quiet but
intense in social environments. They need highly motivated reasons
to engage in superficial small talk for which they probably have limited
ability and less patience. There may be an element of mystery or secrecy
in sexual encounters. Though it may not be deliberate on their part,
they give the appearance of being enigmatic or intriguing to others.
The influence of Venus implies the potential for jealousy and possessiveness
in sex and romance even when these individuals do not exhibit such
traits with regard to other matters. It also indicates financial gain
as well as increased social life and status through marriage. The
positive side of this Venus house position also indicates remarkable
ability to understand the psychology of human motivation and relationships.
Negative factors in their personality or background can mean those
who marry for the purpose of gain, loss of money or status through
marriage, sexually transmitted disease, and neurotic social tendencies.
VENUS square SATURN
Venus square Saturn by no means indicates lack of generosity in these
individuals, though others may not be generous toward them. Financial
debts seem to occur easily and frequently, either through their own
extravagance, inability to manage income, or as a result of being
responsible for debts incurred by others. Social efforts may be fraught
with obstacles but in the end, those who persevere get what they want.
VENUS square URANUS
Venus square Uranus indicates those who may have pleasant dispositions
but underneath this demeanor want to assert their independence in
social situations. They can be stubbornly addicted to their own opinions,
feisty, defensive, and argumentative. Unexpected, sudden, or unusual
romantic encounters may be real or fancied. Traditional social situations
are acceptable but once in a while they pursue more unorthodox patterns.
HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing,
publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies,
religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits.
It relates to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To
a certain extent the ninth house also describes the job or health
of your mother.
PISCES on 9th HOUSE
Pisces ruling the ninth house indicates a sensitivity of mind. Though
there is the possibility of mental confusion, it is also a strong
indication these individuals will have keen intellects and well developed
intuitions. There is the potential of disillusionment or some kind
of loss and secret or illegal dealings in a foreign country or with
foreign people, but it is also possible they will have religious or
inspirational experiences while traveling abroad. Their mothers or
the spouse of a sibling may suffer from disability, drugs or alcohol,
or may be employed in maritime industries, religion, photography,
medicine, psychology, areas that involve the feet, minority groups,
or those who are institutionalized or disabled. The theater, music,
dance, art, and literature are areas that may particularly attract
their attention and participation. They may have special interest
in religion, spiritualism, or occult subjects. There is danger of
vulnerability when it comes to either their ability or willingness
to separate reality from fantasy, and idealism from fanaticism.
HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals,
public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates
to your father and his influence in your life.
PISCES on 10th HOUSE
Pisces ruling the tenth house indicates individuals who may face the
necessity for guarding their reputations since there is danger of
scandal or being connected with someone else's disgrace. There is
also a possibility they will have glamorous or mysterious public images.
Their marriage or business partners may be found among those who live
or were raised near water. The influence of Pisces implies several
situations related to a parent, in most cases, the father. They may,
for example, be abandoned, either literally or figuratively, by the
father. There may also be a secret or sorrow or depression connected
with the father, or he may be disabled, suffer from mental or emotional
problems, or be addicted to alcohol or drugs. Negative potential includes
the possibility of failure to get recognition they deserve or to achieve
their goals. The career or long range goals they seek may involve
aiding those who are disabled, institutionalized, underprivileged,
or minorities. Religion, theater, dance, art, medicine, or maritime
industries are other possible areas that hold the key to their destinies.
MARS in 10th HOUSE
Mars in the tenth house indicates those who like their activities
to be public. They are very ambitious, and are excellent promoters.
For the most part it may be themselves or their own efforts they promote,
but they can be just as enthusiastic about seeking public attention
for someone else or a cause in which they have great interest. Some
people may work as tirelessly as they do, but few will match the aggressiveness
and persuasive force of these individuals. Some people may be content
to work quietly behind the scenes but these individuals want their
efforts to be noticed. Strong qualities of leadership gives them the
ability to inspire others. They are apt to work better alone, and
many prefer to operate their own business rather than work for anyone
else. The lifestyle of these individuals is not apt to be very tranquil
or very ordinary. The influence of Mars in the tenth house suggests
difficulty attracting a marriage partner. The attention of these individuals
is so often focused on their career or other goals they don't have
time for any one else, or they may simply be so aggressive that a
potential marriage partner feels threatened. The negative potential
of this Mars position includes loss of the father or male authority
figure, a father who is domineering, and disagreements with superiors
and other authority figures.
MARS square PLUTO
The strength of will power, emotional intensity, and physical stamina
of those with Mars square Pluto are usually enough to get them out
in front. What may cause them to fall behind again, however, is being
too aggressive or threatening. They are apt to have incisive minds,
and know exactly what they want and how to get it. For their own growth
as individuals they learn to avoid giving in to revenge, jealousy
and possessiveness.
HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong,
and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages
earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of
others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business
associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations
and capacity for happiness.
TAURUS on 11th HOUSE
Taurus ruling the eleventh house indicates individuals who are apt
to experience stable and enduring friendships. There is also the possibility
they will be tempted to deliberately establish friendships on the
basis of being able to use these contacts for personal gain or for
some other equally practical reason. Though they may not be active
members, they tend to belong to clubs and organizations that serve
what they feel are very worthwhile purposes. Either they are passionately
devoted to the purpose for which the club exists such as wildlife
preservation, or they feel the club provides opportunities for meeting
the kind of people with whom they want to associate for business purposes.
The Taurus influence suggests they may marry a friend, and that they
also have the ability (or skill) to stay good friends with their romantic
partners even after the romance ends. Negative potentials of Taurus
on the eleventh house include individuals who are antisocial, rude,
mercenary, or social climbers, or in some cases, they may be the victims
of so-called friends with these attributes.
SATURN in 11th HOUSE
Saturn in the eleventh house indicates heavy responsibilities related
to the role that they play in the lives of others, especially friends,
children (not necessarily their biological offspring), and others
who make up their personal network. Saturn's influence does not imply
lack of such people in their life, and indeed, they may enjoy solid,
long-lasting relationships with them. However, these individuals may
tend to harbor the notion that they are friendless and unappreciated.
They may have an aversion or little motivation to join societies.
Those who become a member of a club are often handed extra responsibilities.
Saturn suggests that income or promotion from their career may be
very limited or delayed. The father is apt to have few assets, and,
if he has wealth, it may be of little use to them. Real happiness
and enjoyment will be hard won, and perhaps not achieved until later
in life.
SATURN conjunct URANUS
Saturn conjunct Uranus is a generational aspect that is concerned
with the structure of societal institutions. Religion, government,
business, and other social groups are more formal and organized under
this planetary influence. There is less of a fraternal attitude and
more of an emphasis on practical concerns as a whole. Whether members
of this generation as individuals feel that way toward personal associations
depends on other factors in their personalities and backgrounds.
URANUS in 11th HOUSE
Uranus in the eleventh house indicates those who can pick up with
friends they have not seen or talked to in years as though no time
had passed at all. This ability is an asset since instability and
separation are associated with their friendships. These individuals
usually have a tendency to consciously or subconsciously organize
their friends into a loose fraternity. Unless undesirable factors
in their personality or background interfere, their liberal and egalitarian
approach attracts friends and acquaintances from all walks of life,
social levels, and cultural backgrounds. They are also apt to establish
friendships with people involved in occult or other unorthodox subjects,
as well as with those in more traditional areas involved with computers,
music, electronics, medicine, finance, social work, or communications.
These individuals value their place as a child, parent, friend, lover,
spouse, and whatever role they play in the lives of others. However,
they also value their own independence and do not want to confine
all their attention to one individual.
URANUS trine NEPTUNE
Uranus trine Neptune is a generational aspect that only applies to
those born in the mid-1940's. It is a fortunate aspect for the arts,
idealism, spirituality, and especially the advancement of minority
classes. The emergence of this generation as adults in the 60's and
70's was indeed attended by such movements and activities as civil
rights, antiwar demonstrations, women's lib, and gay rights.
JUPITER in 11th HOUSE
Jupiter in the eleventh house indicates those who derive much happiness
and joy through friends, children, and social contacts. They are very
optimistic and enjoy everything life has to offer. These individuals
are likely to gain personal growth and advancement through their network
of friends and acquaintances. If they have no motivation or opportunity
to make friends or join groups and associations, their progress may
suffer accordingly. Sometimes these individuals collect more friends
and acquaintances than a single lifetime can handle. They may feel
they are friends with someone even though the association consists
of nothing more than a single brief meeting. The negative potential
includes those who never settle for anything less than the best and
seek to attain the highest social status, no matter what the cost
or whether it is obtained at the expense of more important values.
It also implies those who find it difficult to ever be content, always
wanting more than they have.
HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your
subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or
work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow,
disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry.
It also has connection with the job or health of your marriage or
business partner.
GEMINI on 12th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the twelfth house indicates individuals who may keep
many of their ideas and thoughts to themselves. As a rule they are
able to think and communicate more effectively in quiet environments.
They are attracted to investigations that go beyond the physical planes,
such as the subconscious, dreams, and extra sensory perception. Their
thoughts and ideas are not always based on logical reasoning but are
often a result of instinct or intuition. Sometimes this type of thinking
works, and sometimes they need to get a clearer sense of reality.
They can become prisoners of their own minds. The influence of Gemini
suggests the possibility of being involved in communication or computers
connected with hospitals, prisons, charitable institutions, or mental
institutions. Their marriage partners may be clerics, artists, or
they may work in law, contract negotiations, teaching, writing, or
publishing.
